After recently taking a trip to NJ/ NY, pizza has been the only thing on my mind And so far, nothing has been able to satisfy my craving for some good ricotta cheese pizza...until today! My boyfriend and I decided to try out Vilano's today sort of on a whim and let's just say, we are definitely going to be regulars now! Pulling up to the parking lot i was kind of sketched out because of the abandoned-looking buildings on the side, but once entering the small pizzeria we were quickly greeted by the man behind the counter wearing a classy Italian style scarf, Fred! He gave us such great service by letting us try free garlic knots and cannoli's as it was our first time eating there! He even hooked us up on a deal with the pricing of our pizza! I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants to try some good, fresh pizza with a friendly environment and great service!

I stopped by Villano's yesterday evening after a doctor's appointment because I was starving. I browsed their menu online and decided to give them a shot. It is located in a small strip mall right off of U.S. 19 N in Hudson. There's an oversized sign out front that makes it easy to see. I placed a to-go order for a personal-sized stromboli and a side of six garlic knots. The girl working the register was nice, but she/the boy assisting her were definitely still kids. I knew all the local gossip by the time I left! She said it would be a 10-15 minute wait, so I sat at one of the tables in the tiny dining area. As I waited, I noticed a delivery man coming and going. They must have a lot of delivery orders! My order came out pretty quickly and it was much bigger than I expected. For a personal stromboli, they basically used a full pizza crust! It was very good, although a little doughy on the ends. The garlic knots were good as well and had plenty of minced garlic on top. The only thing I didn't love was the sauce, but that's just because it was chunkier than I like. I think Villano's is a decent meal for the price and I'd probably return if I were in the area.

We are vacationing in the area for a few months, stopped to try the pizza and we're glad we did. The pizza is great and the best we've had in a long time. It was refreshing to see their large pizza was really 16" not the new large of 14". The doughnut shop next to the pizza place also has the best doughnuts ever, but they close early afternoon.

The best pizza I've had in Florida since 1978. Really!! If you want to eat in I would go in the winter though because their AC kinda sux. But for delivery or take out they can't be beat. And their large is a true 18". Delicious beyond compare!

This place is really a hidden gem. The gemstone isn't polished, however. Normally, I'm up for dives. I love quirky holes in the walls, little unique eateries sprinkled in cities. However, this place literally feels like a hole in the wall. This place is just off 19. Our iPhone kept telling us to go to one side of the road, but it was on the other side. I can't remember which side. The place looks....ratchet from the outside. It's snuggled not so warmly by two abandoned business. Not the best welcome. The interior isn't great either. Sticky tablecloths, no bathroom (is that even legal?), and a room smaller than a bedroom makes for a not so pleasant dining experience. We ended up changing our order to carry out. Which took 20 minutes to be made. Not horrible, but others who arrived after us had eaten and left. But all of that is (almost) forgotten when you taste the pizza. Now, it is not the best (my favorite is Mario's in Pinellas County) but it is definitely some of the best I've had. It's practically gourmet for Hudson. We ordered the Grandma Pizza, which was brushed with olive oil before being topped with mozzarella, a scoop of sauce and sprinkled with basil. The crust was thinish but not thin enough. I like cracker thin pizza with a crunch. Luckily the crust at the end was not like a loaf of bread. However, the sauce was amazing and the cheese was greasy in a good way.. The wings were good. The sauce was nice and hot, but they still weren't as good as our favorite. The fries were disappointing. They were lukewarm (the pizza was piping hot and we were staying five minutes away, so not an issue of distance) and soggy. The portion was large though. With the food mainly good, staff friendly and reasonable prices, we will probably order from here again, but not to eat in. Delivery or carry out is the way to go.

This is some awesome pizza! I am from New York, and was visiting my family in Florida who are also from NY. One thing I had heard again and again from them and other family who had visited is the pizza in Florida was awful - this is not the case here! We ordered a large pizza with extra cheese, sausage and bacon - My dad's girlfriend's selection - I honestly didn't know about this combo - but it was AMAZING!!! It is greasy enough, mouth-watering, gooey, and has the right amount of meaty flavor to keep you wanting more. Give this one a try!

Amazing food. Somewhat fast delivery. The only down side is that hours are not earlier. Like for lunch. I had to change from 5 star to 4star. Cause they don't open till 4pm. So screwed for lunch

I read all the reviews before ordering and my wife and I were excited to get some real pizza. I was born in NY and raised in Jersey so I know good pizza. So I had high hopes. I'll say it was just OK. It wasn't as good as I had expected. Maybe it was all the great reviews that made expect perfection. The service was great the pizza showed up on time, so overall I'm happy. They did forget the menu we requested when they delivered. We will order from them again and I would recommend them to anyone.

This is the real deal! But more than just how great the pizza is, when I called for delivery I talked to Dan and explained I had broken my arm this morning and hubby out of town, so I had no way to prepare food. He said "Don't worry, we'll take care of that for you -that's our job". I felt a little guilty placing a delivery order for just one person, so I ordered a pizza for tonight and a sandwich for tomorrow. So he put the lettuce, tomato and dressing on the side so it wouldn't get soggy in my fridge. Then because i knew i couldn't each much of the pizza by myself, He told me the secret to re-heating the leftover pizza. They care about their customers at Villano's and you will not be disappointed in the pizza if you are being nostalgic about NY or NJ. I will be enjoying my Italian combo sandwich tomorrow, so I haven't tried it yet, but I can tell just from looking that it top notch cold cuts and I'm very picky in both pizza and Italian cold cuts. Oh, and about the secret to re-heating leftover pizza? Well, you'll just have to go to or call Villano's yourself and ask Dan!

New York style pizza in Florida? I wasn't expecting very much, but they weren't lying! The pizza was great and actually better than a lot of the slices I get in New York. We came a little before close (sorry!!) and the girl at the register was so nice and accommodating. We were told we could only order pizza or calzones, since they were almost done for the night. We spent forever deciding because that is just how we are (sorry!) and no one was rude or antsy to us. We ordered once my step mother put her foot down and didn't let my dad order the 5-meat "garbage pizza". I told my parents there was no way I was going to make the poor staff wait while we ate, so we ordered to go. We were given garlic knots while we waited even though I'm sure they were itching to get out of there. We ended up being able to order a large antipasto salad to go and it was huge and delicious. I recommend this place for the food and the great service.

This is the best pizza and calzones in the area by far. Up until recently everything has been amazing but it's too hard to actually place an order on the phone. I've had to call back multiple times in order to get someone to answer. If I can actually place an order the food is wonderful!

I'm from NJ. I've been to NYC and had pizza in little itlaly. I've been here in Florida now 7 years and this is the 1st place to make a real NY style tasting pizza. I order chicken parm sandwiches and calzones. Idk how they make money on the calzones cause there stuffed full! There sauce is good also, another important thing in Italian food. A++

Awesome! We called on Friday and they were able to put together a big order for my sisters 50th birthday celebration! The dinner was amazing. We had pizza, lasagna, wings, chicken and eggplant parm, baked ziti and cannoli. Everything was so good. The order was ready when we got there and everything was piping hot and tasted great. Dan even called to make sure we enjoyed it.

The food is very good but if you order their delivery just know that one of their drivers has just walked in on more than one occasion. Maybe it's just me but that bothered me.

Great pizza! Sauce was not too sweet, cheese was quality, and the dough is fresh. The crust on the pizza had a crunch, but the inside was incredibly soft. Usually the pizza crusts at the other joints around here tear up the roof of my mouth. Not this place.. My only knock on this place is that they don't have AC and they always have the oven on. So it is very hot inside. Also wasn't 100% happy with the prices, but I guess these days it's hard to find a good pie at a cheap price. I will be coming back for more!

Love this pizza!! Great customer service and the best taste in the Tampa Bay Area; we are so thankful for the big city taste in the small town element.

My wife is from Queens and I'm from Jersey and this place is the real deal, NY style Italian food that's hard to come by outside the tri-state area. White pizza, chicken pram, garlic knots...all amazing

Had the stromboli for lunch yesterday and it was very very good! Fast pick up and great food for a great price .... What more could you ask for ... Will eat there again for sure!

I have to admit that I have driven past this place for 6 months. The shabby slice of pizza sign made me think it was a crappy place to eat. Thanks to other good reviews, we gave it a try and it was a wonderful surprise. The pizza is very classic NY style, which i love. The crust was crispy but not cracker thin, and the toppings were fresh, including the mushrooms. The staff was friendly and the service was fast. We'll be back.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
