Leo & Joe's is always some sort of experience be it good, pseudo, or an overalls kinda lunch day. Stop ur complaining..This is how real Italians treat u and their families. If ur gonna complain don't go to Leo & Joe's. If u wanna be a part of the family go to Leo & Joe's. We call Stefan "Lurch". He is so tall and we just love that he reads our minds. He knows what we want and we don't have to explain our order, ever. By far "Best Server" anywhere. Keep up the good work Leo & Joe's!!!! Best stable pizza joint in the area. EAT AT LEO & JOE'S!!!!!

we are new to the area and got pizza, the first time it was delicious, then we tried it a second time, it had no flavor, I've had better frozen pizza. I will not give it a third try. a pizza place has to have a consistent taste or forget it.

I am forced to give them 1 star for yelling at and upsetting my 83 year old mother who asked that they put more mushroom on the pizza (they are very inconsistent - sometimes putting a fair share, other times barely any). It was one of the owners and - in the worst kind of NY, low-class, inner city way, shouted at her about how, "This is how we do it here." He did this loudly and in front of customers in the main dining room. My mother was embarrassed and upset. Had she stroked out I would have sued the subhuman, jerko, gorilla. And... my mother and father had been loyal customers of theirs for years, since they opened actually. Never again vows my mother and I don't blame her. Jerk-offs.

It's very hard to review this restaurant, it is an experience of extremes. I've been going here for decades, and usually the food and service is five-stars. But sometimes it's zero. I've had most of the things on the menu, and last time I had the pizza there it was really good New York-New Jersey style pizza. Thin crust, tasty, with plenty of cheese. The waitress was cheerful and attentive. But sometimes, apparently when it's only the young guys in the kitchen, the pizza is no good, gummy, full of air bubbles and too wide a dry crust perimeter. It's a consistency issue that makes this a low priority for dinner out. They are capable of, and mostly do an excellent job here, but I just hate to get disappointed now and then. And you can't complain, or you get told off. So, as for a recommendation, I would say it is a gamble whether you will be happy or disappointed.

This place is a complete joke. I went in 45 minutes before they closed. The first thing I noticed was that it smelled as if something extraordinarily bad had happened in one of the restrooms, and that the toilet was forever clogged. At that point I was doubtful, but this place was recommended by a friend, so I decided to give it a try. I was going to order a pizza to go, but the guy behind the counter said "we are pretty much done for the night". It was 9:15, and they were supposed to be open until 10:00. There were about a dozen people there, seated at three tables, so they were fairly busy. I asked what he meant, and I was told they weren't able to help me. I will never try here again.

I think it's ridiculous and unfair that my review is not being used. That tells me yelp is not a good source of information.

We are from Jersey and this by far is the closest we have found to delicious pizza in Florida. They definitely have a great selection of Italian food. The staff is very nice amd helpful. We go every Friday night for pizza and garlic knots they are to die for.

One of the best NYC pizza places. Tastes just like ny with the thin crust and the sauce. Family run for 30plus years. We usually take out but their menu is stocked full of Italian classics and large portions. Truly authentic and a must if you like that type of pizza. Joe DiMaggio visited there often and they have pictures up on the wall hanging proudly from the wall as a real new yorker would.

I'll start off by saying I am from Indiana. Me and my girlfriend are visiting some family who live here in Hudson, and tonight we decided to try Leo and Joe's. It's a small place, probably sits less than 100 I would guess. I went with my girlfriend, mother, and step father. Our server's name was Tony, very kind guy and a good server, full of jokes and kept us laughing every time he passed by. The only complaint I have about the service is it was a bit slow, we received our bread when we were nearly done eating. We decided to start with the garlic knots, and everybody shared them. They seemed to be made in house, to order served with a garlic oil underneath, and browned to perfection. We all agreed, they were very good. For our entree, me and my girlfriend shared a large Sicilian style meat lover's pizza which included pepperoni, sausage, ham, and meatball. Sicilian style was explained to us as a thicker crust pizza, plain and simple. And it was. The pizza sauce to me was a little too sweet, and under seasoned. But by no means did I think it was "bad". I can't say for sure if it's made from scratch in house, but I would guess no. The crust was great, although I was too full to really enjoy it. The large Sicilian style pizza could easily feed 4 by itself. I also will say that the sausage(which was clearly pre-cooked, and that is common) tasted as if it was cooked a week prior. It hadn't gone bad or anything, just a foul taste. Overall I enjoyed the experience, and I'll be sure to try something else when I come back to town. I'll give the service 3 stars(because being funny isn't good enough) and the food 4 stars, the garlic knots saved that one.

Our first visit we ordered Pizza their way; it was very tasty, but the crust was too thin for us. Our server said the next time we should ask for a little thicker crust, the Pie will be a little smaller around, but it may be more to our taste. The next time we did request the crust to be a little thicker and it was prepaired just as we requested with out so much as a raised eye brow. Our Pizza was great and the left overs warmed up just fine as well.

The pizza might be good (I haven't tried it) but I wouldn't recommend getting anything else. We had a $25 off coupon so we went and checked it out. Salad, which was pretty much just lettuce was fresh at least. Dawn ordered chicken & pasta with a pesto sauce, which was quite bland. I had chicken Florentine which was ok, other than being served over chopped frozen spinach instead of fresh. For dessert we split an order of tiramisu and it came out frozen. The waiter was kind of odd as well and very slow even though the place was almost empty. Based on other reviews, I might try the pizza to go sometime, but that's about it. I won't be eating there again.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.
