Oh yes! As stated before, it looks like a nothing-special-place, but once I took a deep breath and made my way inside I just got happy: lots of fish and ribs (depending of the time of your visit, dear Elina ;) ), very well and tasty smoked at a good price. I loved the smell inside and all my stupid tourist's questions were answered in a nice way. Five stars, I love it, next time I'll come in on my first day in Homosassa, promised!

Some locals recommended the Old Smokehouse for chicken, ribs, and fish, so we thought we'd try it. We showed up late in the day. Unfortunately they were out of smoked salmon, so we bought chicken, ribs, and grouper. We have never eaten smoked meats before, so can't say that we are experts. However we thoroughly enjoyed the ribs and grouper. The chicken had good flavor, but was very dry. The place does not open until noon and closes at 8:00 p.m. Although we missed a chance to try the salmon, I'd recommend going, even if it's just to sample the smoked meat and fish.

There was absolutely no smoked fish. As a matter of fact, it was all empty with just some old left over salads available. Very disappointing.

Great place for takeout smoked fish and fish dip. They have ribs and chicken too.Friendly service. Also try the black bean salad it is very tasty

This is one of the best BBQ places I've come across. It's a hole-in-the-wall with only takeout and not much parking, but the smoked fish and ribs are super. Very reasonably priced, also. They are closed Monday and Tuesday and seem to run out of things, but both times we've been there we got great food.

Sitting off to the side before the old sugar mill on Yulee Drive is a brightly colored smoke shack. This unassuming place is a must stop! I tried nothing but the smoked mullet.. It was absolutely wonderful!!

This is a catering, or take out place, one table inside if interested in eating there. Just a small place with good food. As the name suggests, smoked meats and BBQ sauce on side. Ribs were great - a little fatty. The chicken a little on the dry side for us. But good flavor, and the sides are good too -- particularly the baked beans. Worth a try.
