This place is amazing. Closest thing to Bangkok and Thailand since I was there. The basil with shrimp is to die for.

Great food great service!! Nice and quiet place extremely fast service!! They also do delivery...they say delivery takes 45 min, came in 25!! I very highly recommend to others!!

i ordered Spicy Tuna Salad, great good with right portion. Vega Tempera a little bit greasy but still very good. waitress is nice and bring everything fast. definitely will visit again if come in that area.

This is my go-to sushi and Thai place. They are fast and the good has never disappointed. The Thai donuts and the tempura Oreos are the highlight desserts there. Everything I have tried I have loved, this is a great restaurant.

There are two (2) Sushi Thai restaurants in Hollywood with same owner. One is on the beach and this one on Hollywood Blvd next to Walgreens which I like better. Lunch prices are great which includes salad or soup. The bento boxes are large- forgot to take a picture of steak and sushi bento box for lunch which was good.

This is a hidden gem. The energy in this restaurant is very good and the service was on point. Our food was prompt and tasty and at a reasonable price. The decor is dim lighting with bamboo tables and wall, very oriental. It was my first visit here but I will definitely be coming back! I highly recommend this place, especially if you're a Hollywood resident!

Love coming to sushi n Thai! Have been coming here for years and the sushi is always top notch! Service is great and they are very attentive every time, even when it's extremely busy.

This place is going downhill. The past few times it's been hot inside - and you don't want that in a place that serves raw fish. It's kind of dingy inside and the rolls aren't that great. I recently had the Pad Thai, and the one at Siam Rice is a lot better, and less expensive. I'll still go here in a pinch, but for sushi, I prefer Hiro Mari on Sheridan.

  • Lydia S.

Chris was our server, but the entire staff works together seamlessly as a proper team, always watching to see if a guest is in need of something, and ready to assist the server by bringing whatever is necessary to make you feel like pampered royalty. All that on top of the best JB Tempura I've had anywhere in south Florida and the other dishes were excellent as well. The ambiance and atmosphere of the restaurant were also inviting and at the same time, elegant. I highly recommend this place to friends, family, and strangers who love Sushi and Thai food.

the people working there are pretty nice but...it needs a major renovation and a new air conditioning system or something. also the food is not as good as it used to be.

A little hard to find. The fish they use in cooked dishes is tilapia. We had the volcano roll, not the best option. The seafood soup was however fantastic , nice and spicy. The mixed seafood noodles (pad ke Mao) were quite good but very little shrimp and scallops. Overall I think I would pick another sushi place as the Hollywood circle has more night life.

I always get the spicy tuna here and it's great! Always very good and the ppl are friendly as well. Easy to park and easy to find.

Nice atmosphere and service. My dish was good with coconut milk potatoes avocado and beef. Had it medium hot and was yummy. My friend had chicken with basil and wasn't so impressed... Too many green peppers. We had chicken satay which was ok..not a fan of peanut sauce, but that's personal taste. Probably will go back and try the sushi next time.

I was craving Thai food and I drive right by this little strip mall joint and glad I did! Had my old standby red curry spicy with chicken and glad I did! Excellent dish.

By far my most favorite casual sushi/Thai/Japanese restaurant. The kids menu is great, the staff is so professional and polite. The sushi is fantastic! I try something new each time I go there because I know whatever I order is going to be delicious. My kids always ask to go there which is great because they are very picky eaters. Try the Thai iced tea!!

Looks like Yelp! has struck gold again. After a doctor's appointment at Memorial, we were looking for a good place to eat and found this place in a nondescript strip mall. The name certainly doesn't invoke curiosity to check it out and certainly the panhandler sitting outside of CVS did not make me want to go inside. However, with a solid 4 star rating I knew my Yelpers would not let me down. The inside of this place isn't bad - they typical bamboo/rattan motif seen in casual Thai joints. The service was very prompt and friendly. We started with fried baby octopus special as an appetizer. These were great and even our daughter ate them (although I told her they were star shaped chicken nuggets). For mains we had the pad thai and the basil duck. The pad thai was very good - hot, not sticky at all and with just the right amount of spice and peanut sauce goodness. The basil duck was even better - a large portion of duck with a crispy outside and tender inside. The basil sauce was also delicious. We ended with the thai donuts which are pretty hard to mess up since they are fried and then dipped in 1,000,000 calorie condensed milk. I was very surprised at how good the food was here and even more surprised at the reasonable prices. The only reason I wouldn't give this place 5 stars is that when my wife went to the restroom, there was a cot set up next to the door with someone sleeping in it. What's up with that??? Very weird. Anyway other than the sleeping lady this place is great! Definitely a find in Hollywood.

Love this place! After passing by it for years, I finally decided to stop in. (It's owned by the same owners of Eddie Hills, which has been a long time family favorite.) Right away we were seated and the waitress came and asked our order. I ordered two rolls, a fried rice and a Thai Iced Tea. Pascale Roll and Rainbow roll, absolutely delicious. We split the fried rice, and I am not kidding, THE BEST FRIED RICE I HAVE EVER HAD. So delicious, full of chicken, cherry tomatoes and other yummy things. The thai iced tea was a good drink as well, try it if you've never had it. That or a Thai Iced coffee, cant go wrong with either. I was way too stuffed for dessert, but I wouldn't mind trying it when I go back. All in all, love this place... Might have to switch it to my go to sushi place :)

I ordered the sashimi appetizer and a piece of the white fish was still frozen. I probably won't come here again.

Great food. I always get it take out the restaurant is a bit drab. Live the chicken Katsu and the masaman curry and fries rice!!

I highly recommend looking for another spot for Thai and sushi. This is probably the worst one I've ever been too. Which sucks for me because it's the closest to my house but they have horrible service, the food isn't very flavorable or fresh either. I have tried it about 3 times to give it a chance but every time it's bad. Today will be the last time I give them a chance. All I ordered was 2 J.B rolls (very simple rolls) to go & they told me it would be 15/20min a little long but it's Friday so I understood. I got there 30 minutes later & it STILL wasn't ready. Then they had me sit there & wait another 15 min! That's a total of 45 min just for two rolls. Plus there was only 3 tables being served & NO A/C inside. By that point I just asked for my money back & ordered somewhere else.

    (1)
  • April C.

Be aware!!! First off, the waitress tried that scam s*** with us by adding an extra dollar here & there!! Secondly, we sat there for a freakin hour before we finally got our roll, only for it to be half assed!!! Seriously, this whole entire restaurant consistent of a total of "10" tables!!! We ordered a special salmon dynamite roll that had the DYNAMTIE missing from it!!! When we brought it to the waitresses attention, she made excuses & tried b.s.'ing us saying that they only use a "dynamite sauce"!! B.S.!! To add insult to injury this girl added a dollar onto a $16.95 roll that wasn't even what we ordered!!! Her disposition was disgusting & the food left little to be desired! Never again will this place get 1 penny of my money!! WAY OVER PRICED, OVER RATED & THE FOOD IS HALF ASS QUALITY AT BEST!! Never again!!

  • VICKIE S.

Love the Tekka don, my grandson loved the chicken yakitori and the cucumber handroll. The ginger dressing on my salad was yummy. Shared a special - tuna tataki on salad greens, good but should have had more tuna. Service was good and food was served quickly.

Really great friendly service! I had an AMAZING shrimp pad Thai taste was a little sweet maybe next time I will ask them to spice it up, but otherwise all the flavor was there :) I also ordered a kiss roll I think it was called with smoked salmon that was yummy! Even my friend who didn't like sushi enjoyed it! Shrimp tempura combo was impressive presentation but very bland. I will skip that next time I go.

A group of friends and I meet here once a month regularly. Their Tom Ka Gai is the best around. The sushi is always pretty good but not the best I have had. Their thai dishes are really solid as well. I have been going here for many years and it is always consistent and good

  • Elle G.

I've been going to this place for 10 years. I am totally over it. The last couple years the food has really gone down in quality. The service is always really good but the restaurant needs a facelift. Also it's very cramped.

    (1)
  • Peter S.

Here's my issue with this place: it's expensive for what you get. The service was not bad, nice and quiet in there. The food wasn't terrible. They had a bit of entertainment in there, so that's nice if you have kids. But it's a tad expensive. Like...going to Orlando or another tourist trap, kind of expensive. I'm not on vacation trying to get taken advantage of. I'm trying to just nourish myself, and I'm not from Pinecrest. I will say the Pad Thai was delicious. But if you're going to try and charge me some $15+ for a small amount of food, at least put some real shrimp in there....not those tiny little garden shrimp used in a salad. We're not hamsters, that's ridiculous. You certainly don't get what you pay for here, but what you do get does taste good. If you're on a budget, seek something else though. And if you have the money to spend, just go to some place on the beach or in the Gables. It'll cost the same, but may taste better. Just my .02

I'm tired of the disappointment that is sushi-thai combos. The only advantage is a variety of items on the menu, but the food itself? Mediocre. Most of the sushi is smothered by cream cheese or imitation crab to mask the fact that the fish itself is just okay. The Thai noodle dishes always lack a certain something that I can't put my finger on. (flavor? that's a bit harsh) The only saving grace was the curry, which had good flavor and spices. But at the prices they charge... still not enough to have me thinking about returning. I'm sorry, but Thai food does not need to be $12-15 per dish. Someone please get me to a legit Thai place. My taste buds are mad at me.

  • Justin M.

This place was a regular stop for me until they served me some rubber chewy salmon and told me "sorry, that's how it comes". They were rude and the sushi chef was yelling at me and my family.. We then came back only to be told "we don't want any problems" and they wouldn't serve us.. Look, I could understand that maybe if it was a persons first visit, but I was there MANY times before, and to be so totally disrespected by the wait staff and sushi chef was an awful disappointment.. I'm the first to forgive and forget and I wouldn't be writing this, but they denied service?? I've never had this happen.. EVER.. I would never recommend a place that puts the customer LAST.. There food is not good enough.. If you want good food goto Eddie Hills..

  • CalRose E.

The food here is usually very good. Whenever I eat here I usually get the sushi or the curry. The green Thai curry is definitely my favorite! The sushi is made fresh and tastes really good. My only complaint is that whenever I order shrimp in my meal the shrimp doesn't smell fresh. I have had to send back a shrimp meal more than once. Despite that little flaw the food here is really good and I highly recommend this place.

Worst food experience in my life!!! I will never go back there, terrible and disgusting flavor. I ordered pad Thai because is a Thai restaurant I thought they couldn't go bad on this one but I was so wrong.

  • Dan C.

I've been a customer of this restaurant for over 8 years and they never have dissapointed me.he staff is friendly and the food is consistent and very tasty. I emphasize the word consisten because what I like to eat, the Pad Thai, always taste the same as I remember and come to expect. When I'm in the mood for that delicious Pad Thai, I always know that the craving will be satisfied here. They have modest prices and the amount of food you get is great. If you like Thai food, you will not be dissatisfied with this place.

Love, love, love Sushi n Thai. My husband and I have been "regulars" here for the past year - we dine in or take out at least twice a month. The prices are incredibly reasonable - our dinners for two are NEVER over $50 including tip. For some reason, we always stick to the Japanese menu. I've never been a creature of habit and order the same thing, but since I've stumbled on the Tuna Ukke and Four Seasons Roll, I haven't ordered anything else. Tuna Ukke is a delicious appetizer (spicy tuna, cucumber & avocado) - it is spicy, so be prepared. The Four Seasons Roll is not on the menu, usually a daily special, but they've always prepared it for me, even when it's not listed as a daily special. The staff is friendly and your drink will never go dry, whether it's water, tea, soda or beer. :) After reading reviews here on yelp, will try the Pad Thai on my next visit. Thank you Yelp :)

We had 5 dinners while staying in Hollywood Beach, and two of them were at Sushi Thai because it was so good. My husband loves Sushi, I love Thai, and I like it spicy! The food was fresh and very well prepared. (If you don't like it spicy, they can do that too, they listen to what you like and meet each customer's needs/tastes). We almost did not go to Sushi Thai because the reviews were so mixed with complaints about service, and the hotel Concierge did not recommend. Fortunately we know someone who lives in the area who said it was very good. Now I understand why the reviews are so mixed. Many of the snowbirds from Canada and the Northeast are a grumpy lot who we observed complaining and displaying short tempers and rude behavior all along the Hollywood Beach boardwalk. Those who are already inclined to complain about everything mode are particularly impatient with servers who have English as second language. We had no issues at all with communication or service. If you are patient, kind, and respectful, people try harder to give you a positive experience than if you are surly, gruff, and dismissive. Dan loved the whole fish, I loved the Pad Thai. You can sit in or outside, and it is very accessible for wheelchair users, and welcoming of service dogs. We will be back to see our friends at Sushi Thai next Winter as Hollywood Beach is our new getaway from deep freeze.

I reviewed this restaurant on yelp number of years ago. I don't know what happened to my review. But I am surprised reading even a very few negative reviews. This restaurant is outstanding. My wife and I agree that this is the best sushi we found in South Florida. Even the Thai food is good. But if I could recommend anything, it is the four seasons roll. It is outstanding.

  • Adam F.

My girlfriend and I went here for dinner. Started fantastic with some type of very good tapas. But when the main meal came her shrimp was a little overcooked which gave the entire meal a "smoky" taste. Mine wasn't bad but could've used some more seasoning. We ordered three entree's to go as we had family at the local hospital and when we got back to the room only two of the three made it also minus a salad. Who knows what happened as the waitress's accent was so difficult to understand I have no idea what she wrote down or interpreted. Great having authentic staff there but it helps if they know what you are saying.

This place is actually not bad at all; me being the sushi lover I am I love exploring new places; especially when they deliver to my home!! (Nothing is like eating sushi with friends and watching a good game on TV).. Their Tuna Ukke is like a spicy tuna salad but very tasty and yummy and they serve U enough to get full off of just that! I think they add a bit too much of the dressing because the tuna is drenched in it but honestly I don't mind it one bit because it tastes so yummy and there is soooo much Tuna chunks it's amaZing!! I took off a star because of the volcano roll.... Everywhere I go I try the volcano because it's my favorite, unfortunately I didn't think it was all that. The "dynamite" was basically just strings of crab.. There was no spicy mayo added and it wasn't crispy like it should be when it comes out of an oven. The pad Thai with chicken was so tasty and delicious and when I got the fried Oreos with green tea ice cream I forgot of my disappointment in the volcano and left satisfied. Next time I'll order a different roll but that Tuna Ukke!! Yum

Definitely a new favorite! The best take-out sushi price in the area and the quality for the price. I unknowingly came in 7 minutes before they closed, the cashier let me know politely that I had to hurry my take-out order. I ordered spicy salmon rolls and was surprised at the price, didn't hesitate to order a second roll. The rolls were ready in 9 minutes, I came back to pick up in 5 minutes after they were to close and they were still very friendly and welcoming. For the price I received a really good amount of sushi! I shared with some friends who lived across the street & they were shocked that the sushi tasted great since they always meant to try this place but the strip mall idea kind of threw them off. Don't judge the book by its cover this place is el awesome-o.

Sushi and Thai is a great restaurant. One of the better Thai restaurants in the area. I've got nothing bad to say about this place, so i'll just let you know why its so great. 1. Gigantic menu full of options 2. All options are delicious 3. Extremely friendly staff 4. Appears to be pretty clean. 5. Consistent quality after multiple visits This place has a small leg up on Eddie Hills, which says a lot.

There are quite a few good Sushi/Thai places in Hollywood, and this one does not disappoint. My mom and I frequent this one a bit, and they never disappoint. We usually have the california roll and vegetable roll to start. Then we share the vegetable curry - I've had both the red and the panang and they are equally delicious. Thai Iced Tea and Thai Iced Coffee are also tasty and spot-on.

Tried this place last month in the mood for Thai food. Staff was friendly and attentive, the overall decor was nice and the prices were decent. I meant to write the review that night but didn't get a chance and unfortunately the food was okay but nothing that stood out or apparently memorable. My wife and I had a great night out and this was not unpleasant but even she can't remember the dishes we shared. We'll probably go back and try the Japanese dishes since it is so close by but I can't say I was wowed in the least.

Finally decided to try this place after living in the area for almost 2 years. Much better than its neighborhood rival Sake. We had fried wontons, thai salad, country-style curry with chicken, and the wide noodles with spicy basil sauce and chicken. Everything was delicious! We are excited to try the sushi next. It looks fresh and lots of people here on Yelp say it's great.

The food is always so fresh and delicious! The service is always wonderful, too, which can make all the difference in one's experience at a restaurant. I love this place and frequent it often without ever being disappointed.

I usually go to Edie Hills but wanted to try something different and after reading the glowing reviews, I tried this one. Big mistake!! Ordered the Masaman Curry (my favorite Thai dish). I got 2 shrimp, TWO shrimp and a ridiculous amount of potatoes, and all of this in a thick sauce that tasted like syrup. I will never go back.

  • michael s.

All in all the food here is good and tasty, we get sushi most often, but the Thai has been excellent as well. The staff is mostly terrific, especially the girl who usually does the take out. If not for one guy that consistently screws up, this place would get four stars.

  • Melissa V.

I would have rated this place two stars at first, but the regulars next to us mentioned that this place doesn't normally get this bad like that. The first time we got there, it was a Friday night, big line and we had to wait 20 minutes, went to Walgreens next door to get a couple of greeting cards for someones birthday. When we got back, more people were in the line, and we told them we've been waiting for 20 minutes. The people behind us just went to an empty booth and seat themselves. Oh well. We got our seats, but it was in the area where it looked like it used to be a "waiting seats" area with tables and chairs tucked in. We waited for the waiter for like 15 minutes before I waved my hand for attention and finally got some water. After placing the order, we waited for quite a while.. We wondered why. The regulars next to us were almost done with their food, and we asked their waiter if making a salad was taking so long. Then, with a confused face, asked what we ordered again.. Then checked on the computer on his way back and realized the order was never put in. Two ladies, including our waitress, next to him looked at the screen also and looked shocked/embarrassed of the whole situation. I got my salad and Ralph got his cashew chicken dish.. Then, my curry dish came in later. The food was fantastic, no flaws. It was, I guess, an "off" night for the staff for this to happen. The staff kept apologizing. Again, after hearing from the regulars next to us, we decided to give this place another chance. This time, we were there last night, on a Wednesday, not as crazy crowded with lines... But we still got the same area that we got ignored at.. The service was quick and smooth though.. Waters got refilled before even finished. The only downside was that, my hubby's dish had peppers that were not as soft and tasty as mine. My Panang curry dish also costed more than his dish - we wondered why. No odd taste or fishiness in our dishes, though. Everything turned out great. We definitely took the take out menu wit us, and will order from them some time in the future.

Soooo I have been to this place a couple of times. I keep forgetting the review, but here goes. It's across the street from where I live, I went just to try it out and was pleasantly surprised. Everytime I go I'm satisfied with my food. Service is also good, but I always take-away not eat there. The food is reasonably good, but a bit pricey...I'm frugal!!!

This place is amazing. They have great lunch specials- large portions...great sushi rolls too. If you go to this place you can't leave without trying the shrimp or chicken coconut soup delicious!

LOVE LOVE LOVE this place! We live within a mile of this place, so when take out is on order, this place is one of our top choices. Whether you go and sit to eat or pick up your order, the staff is always friendly and courteous. Sushi is ALWAYS fresh. The Tomyam Goong soup is always on point. There is really nothing bad I can say about this place. Prices are moderate and they are always very accommodating to us when we go with our two year old daughter. Again...LOVE LOVE LOVE this place!

Pad Thai was blander than bland. Not to mention the service was terrible. Only did delivery but it shouldn't take 20 minutes to place a simple 2 item order. Will not be returning....Ever!

My first time here I wanted to go to an all you can eat place but my wife convinced me to try this place since she had been here before and thought it was excellent. well I walked in and the employees are VERY pleasant and attentive they seem to care more about the customer than whose table it is which is nice but having three waitresses is a little wierd. The food was ok had the tempura JB roll it was very hot and fresh hot enough to burn the roof of my mouth but that was my fault. The kids had fried fish and fried chicken and seemed happy with the food I was pleased but not wowed. I'd come again if I was hankering for sushi the portions were a good size and the fish was fresh.

Green curry is my favorite Thai dish. I got to say when u ask them to add basil this dish is spot on in this restaurant. It's spicy (u got to ask for it to be spicy) and it has the sweetness of the coconut and the tangy of the basil. Highly recommended!

I have been going to this place for years. The sushi is always fresh and reasonably priced. The staff is very friendly, and always willing to help. I would say I either order from or dine in at this place once a week or every other week.

I love this place because whenever I am down I can count on it. I can place my order online for lunch and still get a 5% discount.. not much but hey the prices are really decent. I go there mostly for thai. Their vegetable roll that comes with your plate is not grease as you would get them in other places. I would give it a 5 if they would give me at least a 10% for ordering online :)

The shumai (wasabi shell gyoza) was so amazing wow. You'd expect it to be too much because it's wasabi but it definitely can be enjoyed by anyone. I had the ramen which was subpar...I felt like I could make it myself. I love their red curry though. Mmmm

  • Evan Z.

Decent decor, good service. The lunch specials at this place are amazing for the price...especially the thai food. The sushi chefs aren't the greatest, but they make a decent hosomaki combo (tuna, california roll and cucumber roll w/ side salad) for $10. Friends also like the sushi/teriyaki lunch combo. That said, dinner prices are a little high for what is essentially the same food.

Sushi N Thai is local for me, and I consider myself lucky. The Veggie Pad Thai is like cole slaw at KFC. It is that to which all other veggie pad thais should be compared! LOVE it! And they know what spicy means...unlike many other Thai restaurants. Rolls are always good and sevice is fine - not too friendly, but efficient. No complaints here. They have been in business over 10 years at the Hollywood location, under the same ownership, I presume. fwiw - Years ago, a seafood distributor told me they order a large amount of fish compared to other local sushi restaurants, and that their fish is always fresh He called Sushi N Thai the best sushi in town".. I also miss the 10% discount for ordering online, but the prices are quite reasonable.

It's not the best but it's pretty good. My wife and I like the Sushi here more than the rest of the menu. Although, the Masaman Curry is very good. From what I understand (and I am not certain of this) the owners are cousins of the owners of Thai House II in North Miami Beach.

Awesome Thai and Japanese food. Everything is very fresh and the prices are reasonable too.
