I often call my mother in New York to let her know I'm going to Rocco's and her reaction is always the same; "Ohhhh I looooove Rocco's Pizza," and she ends that statement with the sound of an enchanted sigh. It's rare for my mother to show enthusiasm for a place, let alone for food, but Rocco's Pizza has the type of simplistic magic that endears anyone who enters. This pizza joint on the Hollywood Beach Boardwalk is ten steps away from the bandshell where the sounds of cover songs blasts through the doors on Friday and Saturday nights.The walls are covered with television mobsters and ancient movie stars, and their customers are covered in sand. It's far from chic, and sometimes the leather faced drunks are too much to ignore. By this point you must be wondering why I am recommending this place as a must... Here's why...Their large selection of food all tastes amazing! It doesn't matter what you order. Let it be pizza, burgers, fries, pasta, dolphin... Whatever it is that you do order, you will be pleasantly surprised by how delicious and close to perfection your meal will be. So as you're chowing down at Rocco's and Guns N Roses' "Sweet Child Of Mine" is being screamed not far from where you sit, you will be one of many to also state "Ohhhh I loooove Rocco's Pizza..."

Are you kidding me???? Why does Rocco's pizzeria only have 3 stars???? I'm from NY and I can tell you that it's the best pizza around. It's compatible to Brooklyn and Manhattan and much better then most if not all of Long Island pizza. I also heard if stores pay to be on yelp they get better reviews it's all a set up with yelp cause I've heard of people leaving great reviews on here and either not seeing them or at the very bottom.

Great pizza. Thin crust, great texture and excellent quality toppings. Green peppers were very good on the pizza. Extremely fresh toppings. Cheap beer. 2 adults and 4 kids and we ate for under $40. 2 large pies and drinks. Great value, high quality food. I didn't order it but saw the lasagna and it looked excellent. It's right next to the bandshell on Hollywood beach so free concerts on Fri and Sat nights are a huge plus. Looking forward to my next visit to Rocco's. Love this place

We stopped by for a slice and a cold beer. I had eggplant on my pizza which was delicious and ordered an extra crispy and it was perfect ! Server was friendly ! Run down interior but food was great and I would go back for food. Yum ! I wish you delivered to Tampa!

Spent a few hours at the beach and was hungry for a slice. The place was packed on a monday, they totally need more help. I got a mushroom slice and my partner got a pepperoni slice. The mushrooms are canned which I like, but I tend to stay away from because the majority of them are from China. My partners pepporoni slice was really greasy( not high quality pepporoni). I had to use numerous napkins to blot. They only carry pepsi products which isnt a good thing in my book. I went to the market next door and got a can of soda for 1.00. There are a lot of old drunk men hanging out in front drinking booze and not eating pizza. They should be shooed away. Ive only tried the slice, so I cant comment on the rest of the menu. The slice is reasonable at 2.75 and .50 per topping.

As soon as you walk in you realize this is a hole in the wall pizza joint. As you get into the restaurant it become apparently obvious this place isn't big on cleanliness. We had to wipe down our own table. The molding strip around the middle of the wall is covered in crumbs and the floor looks appears to get mopped once a day if that. We ordered a large pepperoni pizza. The dough is thin to medium, the sauce was light as well was the cheese. I wasn't impressed with the overall taste it was just average. Nothing stood out about the pizza, it all seemed like box ingredients. The service was average. The price was high compared to the quality of the pizza.

My husband and I are pizza junkies, so when were were staying in Hollywood this weekend, my brother recommended we try out Rocco's Pizza. Thank you, dear brother! Everything was delicious, both the pepporoni, and cheese pizza. But the BEST were the garlic rolls! They are a must-have!

I've never had better lasagna except from my kitchen. It's a shame Rocco's got "taken" by someone or something that prevents them from taking CC orders over the phone for delivery. I don't always have cash available (paper money) when I'm home and get a craving for Rocco's delicious food. Shame on those who've now forced me to call a lesser kitchen to bring me less than comparable food to the amazing food I could get from Rocco's. (it won't be as good, but I'm hungry and don't drive after drinking a beer). My credit/bank account is good.

This place brings back memories. This place has fantastic pizza. Great pizza. The server was very friendly and quick. I hate waiting for drinks or a menu, you know, things a server does. He was punctual. The food came out pretty quickly and was great. I highly recommend this place.

I've been dying to order pizza from this place again after being at the beach with my aunt one day. The pizza was delicious, the cheese was gooey and hot. NOW... The second time... The pizza looked like it was sitting there for a while but it was very hot so I wasn't going to judge. It was bland. I was seriously disappointed after I fell in love with the pizza here :( my boyfriend was doubting this place before we even got here. He ordered the fried dolphin and he said it delicious. I'm not a fan of seafood but it looked really good! However I won't be coming here again. I've had better frozen pizza.

Rocco's gets my 5 stars!! We found it on a side St and we're definitely not disappointed. A friend and I got a sausage and peppers sandwich w marinara and cheese -- AWESOME!! My husband got a slice of pizza which was really good! You have to try their fried mozzarella wedges. The server was nice. We had our toddler w us and they accommodated w our stroller (it's a small place).

I'll keep this short simple and straight to the point!! The food sucks the service sucks. The waitress was either drunk or high. I had to get up walk to the bar and ask the bartender for the water I asked for 25 mins ago. I had to repeat myself more than what my patience would allow me to. The good was tasteless and it took a million years to arrive. I won't be returning.

This place used to have good food. This trip I found it gross, and very dirty. I stood up once to move my chair closer to the table and the seat fell off the chair. The bathroom was disgusting! I ordered spaghetti and meatballs. The spaghetti was over-cooked, the sauce was more like soup. The whole bottom of my bowl was full of water. The only thing sort of eatible was the meatball, but after my trip to the bathroom where there was no soap because the dispenser had long been torn from the wall.... I could no longer eat. Obviously the employees don't wash their hands. I would love to see this place pass a health inspection.... It couldn't!

This place survives because its located on the HW boardwalk. Its a captive audience. The Pizza is not very good, its not even close to NY style pizza.Years ago, there was another owner and the place was clean and the food was good.

We thought it would be a dope pizza pie seeing that it wasn't right on the boardwalk...we thought it would have to be, but it was not. The other review above is accurate in description, but it's not really what we're looking for in a pizza joint. We're really just looking for good pizza. The peppers were pickled and the mushrooms tasted like they could have been pickled too! All the toppings are definitely straight out of a can. We didn't even finish the whole pie. Service was alright...slightly abrasive (they were pretty busy to their defense, not that that's really an excuse).

I have to recommend every one go to Rocco's on Thursday's for their large take out only pizza special for $8.40 a great deal and a very good pizza. Now the bad part there's no where to park, and you have to watch for the meter Nazi's so your pizza doesn't end up costing you a parking violation. If you can handle the stress of watching for meter Nazi's then it's well worth it. If not pay more, and prolong your life.

We LOVE this place. Everyone we stay at our beach condo we have to eat here. We usually always try something different and every time it never fails. It is delicious! My favorite things are the penne alla vodka, cheese pizza, garlic rolls and mozzarella sticks. SO good. Highly recommend.

I've been here a few times over the last couple years, sometimes meeting friends or just a break to get off Hollywood Beach's Broadwalk. The food is tasty and fresh. The service is prompt and friendly and I don't recall a bad experience in any respect. However, when I received the bill on the last couple visits, I noticed a 15% gratuity automatically charged to my credit card at the time of sale. I realize some people won't tip and that's their right but to see this added automatically on smaller checks (party of two) was a bit surprising. I'll definitely be back if I'm making a Beach visit but I'll make sure my service was worthy of tipping extra.

I love this place. A little hole in the wall, but the pizza by the slice is amazing. Actually the Greek salad is amazing too. Not much to look at, but the food is great. Even has a walk up window if you're still wet from the beach.

Pretty good pizza. Nice and friendly staff. The place can get very warm and stuffy at times, but usually this is not an issue. This is true especially in the evening because you can sit outside and enjoy the view of the beach, and the cool breeze!

BEST food, service, location and prices on Hollywood Beach! Every meal is always a winner: Garlic Rolls to die for, pizza pie, handmade calzone, chicken parm sub, sausage pepper & onion sub, huge gorgeous Greek salad, tiramisu, Italian style cheesecake....ALL made on premises from scratch! And all served up with fabulous friendly staff! Come in with your sandy feet, enjoy the air conditioned relaxation and Heaven in your freakin mouth!!!!

I am so pleased with everything here, we're traveling from California and looking for a kick back pizza parlor and we found it and even better it's right off the beach! We got the meat lovers pizza, hot wings and my daughter got a bacon cheeseburger which was soooo good ! If we ever get the chance we will be back for sure!

We went here based of previous reviews. I didn't think the waitress was especially friendly, but as I'm from the west coast perhaps she is very friendly in east coast terms. The outside looks kinda shady but I overheard they'll be adding to the entrance soon including outdoor seating. All we had was the pizza. It was well proportioned and flavored well. I definitely want to try their pasta now. Good prices and portions.

I have never been disappointed by Rocco's! Great prices and good size portions! If you like live music, there is a band playing right outside almost every evening. They also deliver in the beach area, which is wonderful!
