If you're looking for really nice "boardwalk-style" food, on the beach... this is the place! We stopped in for breakfast and really enjoyed the food and service we got and decided to come back for lunch. Lunch was even more impressive! For breakfast, we each got an egg sandwich, one done only in egg whites and they accommodated this without issue. They were delicious and prepared perfectly. With a side of redskin potato home-style cooked. Came back for lunch and enjoyed a large pizza specialty they make with sun-dried tomatoes and it was amazing! Crust was done perfectly. Right amount of sauce and plenty of toppings. Definitely a MUST for those who like Italian and are looking for something good while enjoying the beach!

Owner is NOT customer friendly! He rather stand and watch TV than assist customers. My order was processed through an app. (GrubHub) but never made it to the store because he didn't answer the phone. ALL the other staff were working and he decided the TV had priority over the business phone calls. Thus he didn't receive our faxed order or phone calls from Grub Hub trying to confirm our food order. When this was brought to the owners attention he said the phone never rang. He showed the phone to my husband and he instantly saw that there were over 5 missed calls. Instead of the owner apologizing and making our order, he wanted to make a scene in the restaurant and make it seems like we were bad customers. We refuse to ever go back to this restaurant! The other staff were nice...they apologized for the owners attitude and said he's always rude. He's going to drive his business into the ground if he goes to work daily. Let the staff handle it...they seemed capable. For now...he's lost our business and we will no longer refer people to his restaurant.

Horrible restaurant. Terrible service, like they are doing a favor for us by serving us what we asked for. Asked for mixed salad. There was no mix, only iceberg lettuce. When we asked for what we were ordered, manager rudely came out, and instead of correcting problem, asked what is the problem here. She could have simply replaced salad, but instead there is no no customer service.

We had breakfast here for a week in a row, since we didn't want to go anywhere else. Every morning we got coffee mugs in front of us faster than we expected, plus several refills without even asking. Everything we tasted from oatmeal to the omelettes was delicious. The service staff is super friendly and attentive. Would definitely eat breakfast there for the rest of my life without hesitating.

Nothing I couldn't make at home. Went for breakfast and we ordered the eggs Benedict, an omelette and the two eggs cooked your way dishes for breakfast. Nothing we ordered lingered, it was basically just food that with the desire for making it, we easily could've. This location stays in business simply due to the location...the service wasn't great either, especially when waiting to pay and when trying to get refills.

Best pizza around! The crust is always thin and crispy, and the 3G pizza is delicious! Definitely worth the drive to the beach. The marinara sauce tastes homemade and is to die for. It goes great with their yummy garlic knots! The pasta has always been very good too. My favorites are the pasta carbonara, chicken alfredo, and linguini Marco Polo with a delicious tomato cream sauce. Absolutely love eating here!

I prefer this pizza joint on the Hollywood boardwalk out of all the rest. It truly is in the best location and the pizza taste better, I like a juicy (greasy) pizza. The restaurant gets busy so the service can be a bit slow but the waitresses are all busy. Order a pitcher because there are no refills.

I really regret eating here. There is no attention to you and it feels like you are bothering them for asking questions. Also there are no refills, its extra. Tip its added on your bill. The food wasnt event great and really expensive, not worth the price. Trust me Go somewere else and avoid this at all costs.

All I wanted was a breakfast sandwich and the lady behind the counter gave me this look like no one has ever ordered one Togo. I already had my debit card on the counter when she took my order but waited until she put the ticket in the kitchen to say "I can't take your card. It's only $4." Very condescending. I really wasn't paying attention to the sign above her that said the minimum was $10, understandable. I would have gladly walked to my car which was in the parking garage to grab cash however she had this attitude like I was bothering her. And from other reviews it seems I'm not the only one. I won't be back. Doesn't seem like I'm missing out anyways.

Location is perfect! The restaurant food and service is horrible. Stay away! Not worth your money. Waitress and management alike, rude and aggressive. My first time giving a restaurant a bad review, EVER.

Thanks for the great service Tina. Your the best! Great place to have a nice sunrise breakfast. Prices are very fare for what you get and not to mention the great view. :)

After a long beach day, the last thing on our mind was to get in the car and drive some where. Well, I now regret not doing that because quite frankly the food is nothing out of this world. Definitely need more flavor and seasoning. We ordered a specialty pizza to try for us 5 to share plus each of my daughters orders a plate. My two oldest ordered a calzone and my youngest baked raviolis and my husband and myself shared a spaghetti & meatballs plate. Mind you, when the waitress came to get our order she mentioned that the meatballs were homemade and very delicious so I gave in. Why not? Doesn't hurt to try them out. Well, my frozen bag of meatballs actually tasted better. The pizza was OK. Tasted like one of the popular pizza chains, nothing to brag about. The calzone looked good but the taste was just not there. The best calzone I've had so far was at Anthony's Coal Fired Pizza! Hands down!!! This was was lacking flavor. Sad to say but the best part of dinner were the garlic knots! (That's why I'm giving them a 3 star instead of a 2 star). They were amazing! I didn't even wanna try dessert and I'm a HUGE dessert person. I actually look at the dessert section in the menu first. But this time I had to pass. Didn't want to be any more disappointed. They claimed the cannoli were homemade and delicious but I wasn't buying it anymore. We went down to Ben & Jerry's for some ice cream instead.

Had a great breakfast... Salmon eggs Benedict... and great service Right on the broadwalk, by the beach.

Best pizza on the beach. If you plan it out you can eat on the beach while you watch the sun set over the water--no better seat anywhere.

I've been going here for years. I used to enjoy the service as well as the food and you cant forget that view! Last night (8-11-14) A group of friends and I went, we ordered a special pizza with toppings. It came out opposite of which we asked ( some of us didn't eat meat) we informed the waiter and she advised us she would bring us more of the topping ( which that's not what we ask) she then said ill just take the pizza back and we understood. The service was never recovered.. I asked to speak with a manager which the kids response was "why so you can complain". I was very unhappy with the service thus this review. I hope the service can only get better because that sure was rock bottom for this beautiful upcoming area.

My family and i have eaten here many times. The pizza is great!!! We have tried other items like fried calamari and the wings but nothing compares to their pizza! The calamari was just the cheap part you know just the circles...not the arms...and was flavorless. The dipping sauce we were served was not marinara. It was some weird watery tomato liquid. Wings are good though.

Jack be nimble, Jack be QUICK! We made the mistake of going down the boardwalk to another place and wished we had came here instead. We didn't order anything huge, just Mozzarella sticks and some red wine. I can't speak for the food (although the appetizers and wine were great) but I will be back. Thanks Jack! Super fast and extremely pleasant service.

This review is based on: -the woman behind the counter -the manager -and all of their food besides their pizza My daughter and I recently went here to take out 3 slices of pizza. I paid and left over 20% tip. They didn't give us a box so I had flimsy paper plates burning hot to hold and carry out. My daughter wanted to help and carried one out for me. Not even making three steps out the door, she dropped the slice. She felt terrible and tried picking up the piping hot pizza to throw away. I went back inside and let the woman behind the counter know. She mentioned something about sending me the manager so they can comp it. A few minutes later a blonde woman approached me and just stood there looking at me (awkward). When I didn't say anything she finally asked me what do I need. lol. She didn't introduce herself as manager or anything. Assuming this was the mgr, I mentioned to her we just ordered pizza and my daughter dropped a slice so we are reordering. She said ok and walked away.... (awkward part II) It gets worse: I wait at the counter and when the pizza comes out she tells me how much I owe. So I ask, "the manager did not comp it like you mentioned?" She said No. I told her that was nice (sarcasm). The women next to me thought it was rude as well and said something to the woman behind the counter as they too saw that my 5 yr old daughter literally dropped it as soon as we paid. I decided not to worry about it, and handed her my credit card -- she told me she only accepts cash under 10.00. At this point she could have redeemed herself and told me just to take it. Nope! She demanded that I pay. I only had 2.00 cash left as I gave her the generous tip prior in cash. So I told her to use my tip I gave her as payment as I wouldn't have given over 20% if I knew they would treat me like this. Nope! She asked me to hand over my $2.00 in hand as well. I don't think a single slice of pizza is even worth the bad review and losing a customer. In addition, if you do go here, their entire menu is sub par Italian food. Their pizza has always been decent.

On a busy Saturday night the service was great. Our server was proper and didn't make us wait to take our order. The fettuccine Alfredo was the best I have ever had. I can honestly say that every Italian restaurant I go to I have the Alfredo and this restaurant is the best I have had. Pizza was good. And my boyfriend loved the fried cazon. Can't complain, when I come back to Hollywood I will be comin gnome back here

Pretty decent NY style pizza made by real New Yorkers, I think they were even speaking Italian, but I have no idea......

Best pizza on the boardwalk. Seriously ignore those reviewers who talk abt coming to Florio's - a pizza place - for breakfast! Seriously no. Grab the fam. Come here for a large pizza and some garlic knots and they even do a pretty decent Greek salad if you're health conscious. Check out my pix and see for yourself! Love this place.

  • Marie R.

I've been here many times before and the pizza is decent, the lasagna isn't bad but don't venture out beyond that. The bolognese is disgusting. It tastes like Campbell's spaghetti out of the can. When I first got the dish it had no cream (which is basically meat sauce). I asked my server what was the difference between bolognese and meat sauce and the server had no idea. She goes to the back and tells me "I'm sorry, you're right, we forgot the cream". I then called over the manager who then tried to convince me that bolognese and meat sauce are the same thing. This is NOT Italian food, this is a pizza joint. Don't order anything here other than pizza. To the owner: if you ever want to know, contact me and I'll explain to you, your chef, your manager, and your servers the difference between meat sauce & bolognese. :)

Great pizza, but WAY expensive. But I guess that's what I get for getting pizza right on the beach. Honestly though, great pizza.

Went to this great place yesterday on recommendation from my sister who is local. I told her my husband and I were going to do a pizza crawl to check out all the pizzas on the beach. She said "don't waste your time, just go to Florio's" and that's just what we did. We ordered a pizza, half plain, half eggplant and ricotta. Dear me it was fantastico! Our waitress was great, very helpful and friendly, it was breezy for a sweltering day, and the pizza (with a side of marinara-yum!) was outstanding. Not too thick but still chewy, the breaded eggplant was cut thin and crispy, and the beer was cold. Oh and there was some dude there who cleaned the tables, he looked like Ryan Gosling playing a small town pizza restaurant busboy, just saying. Don't miss this place!

Well been here several times and it's been ok. Today warm beer and seriously greasy and instant stomach ache pizza. Very disappointing.

Came here for breakfast. The fruit bowl was so delicious and I have never seen or tasted a toasted blueberry muffin. It was incredible! The staff was very friendly and fast. We had the opposite experience a few doors down, so we were very grateful. After awhile on the beach when the storm rolled in, we came back and ordered a veggie pizza. Crust was thin and pizza was pretty tasty. We had Tina as our server both times and we never wanted for anything!

  • Sam P.

I have eaten here twice and ordered the same pizza both times because it is so delicious! I order the vegetarian pizza and get chicken added to it. They use a real chicken breast and cut it into pieces--good quality! The service has been great both times. The only downside I see here is the lack of drink specials. They have Bud and BudLight on tap, and that is it. I would like to see more 'good' beers on tap. Other than that, this place is great and you can't beat the view--it is directly on the boardwalk!

Update: After my great breakfast, we took some out of towners there for dinner so they could get a feeling for the Hollywood boardwalk. Fast service. My three DC had pasta dishes they said were great. I had some ribs and fries for about $11 -- not a huge portion, but it worked for me.

Great service friendly waitress she was amazing took our order by memory The food was also great had the chicken marsala it was great home style Italian food A little pricey but worth it

Stopped by here fore breakfast before going to the beach. I got the eggs Benedict, not the best I had but still good. The home-fries were really good! My bf got the eggs with sausage, he liked a lot. Pretty basic breakfast menu and prices are decent. Seems like they actually cook the good unlike a lot of other boardwalk places that just microwave lol Maybe going back for pizza later that looks amazing!

After a long day in the sun fishing and playing in the beach, I don't need anything fancy. I don't mind iceberg lettuce, or cheap wine, not do I need the best pizza of my life, but I do want to hydrate and recharge asap. This place delivered it all, and with a smile, too.

Its conveniently located right on the boardwalk. Perfect to order take out pizza to take to the beach. But the food is just ok. We ordered the Hawaiian pizza and some garlic knot breads. I found it to be a little on the greasy side and not very tasty. Still it's great for take out in a pinch if you're kids are hungry and tired from the day at the beach. FYI they do have indoor and outdoor seating. But my review is only limited to their take out service.

Wonderful low cost joint to take your out of town guests. The pizza is yummy, and the breakfasts are delicious. Great spot on the broadwalk with a lovely view of the ocean and phenomenal people watching. The servers are always friendly and extremely efficient. Don't change a thing Florio's, you're like a good friend!

I have been to Florios in NYC and decided to try Florios in Hollywood. It did not disappoint. Still the best pizza EVER with home made dough and fresh mozzarella. We also had Zuppa Di pesce which smelled great and tasted even better. Love this place, wish I lived here so I could eat here more often!!!!!

I've been meaning to write this review for some time...I'm surprised this place is still in business. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!! There are MUCH BETTER places for Pizza on the Boardwalk! My elderly Father and I went for a leisurley stroll on the Hollywood Broadwalk. We haven't been here since it was Angelo's. It began to rain so we decided to have a meal at this restaurant to save from getting wet. BIG MISTAKE!!! The restaurant was nearly empty. No one acknowledged us as we stood waiting to be seated. I had to get the attention of one of the guys in the back counter making a pizza. Strike One! When he yelled to the waitress in the back she finally emerged. As she walked to us, we were treated as if we were bothering her. She grabbed two menus and sat us at a table. We ordered salad with our dinner and received a dessert plate with 2 slices of wilted iceberg, a mushy slice of tomato and a few rings of white onion. We had no silverware or napkins on the table, which I had mentioned in the beginning. One would think, that silverware would be brought with the salad. I asked for silverware again when the salads were brought to our table. (without dressing) She walked off to grab our utensils and dressing and never returned, instead, she walked to another table. I had to flag the waitress down once she was done taking someone elses order. I had to ask a third time for utensils, for which I got major attitude. As if I was bothering her! Did she expect us to eat the salad with our hands? My father ordered the veal francese, it was tough as a rock, we sent it back, for which the waitress gave us attitude for, by the time we got it back I was nearly done with my mussels. Which didn't surprise me, cause the portion is not even close to being satisfying. Once they brought out the veal a 2nd time, He bit into it, there wasn't a significant difference. He took a few bites and was done. Told me to take it home to the dog. ( the dog didn't even touch it when I got home) We decided to try the dessert, hoping that it was purchased from a dessert vendor. We had tiramisu, it was okay. Basically the only somewhat decent item we had ordered. Unfortunately, the dessert experience was marred by the fact that the waitress never cleared the dirty dishes from the table. I had to stack them and move them to the side. I had to flag her down for drink refills, she STILL ignored the dirty plates! I asked for the check. She disappeared and finally came back nearly 15 minutes later. When she finally brought the check back, she still failed to clear the dirty dishes and the restaurant had maybe two other tables, not busy AT ALL! Should have taken that as a big sign. We should have left no tip at all for her horrific service, however, my father couldn't leave without at least 15%, we usually leave 25-30% for good service. It was raining harder at his point. As we walked to the door where we came in, it was locked and still early enough not to be closing time, around 7 or 8 pm. I asked if she could unlock the door so we could exit, she said "no, exit this way" I explained to her that my father is older, it's raining, and the car is parked on this corner. She still replied with a "NO! This exit ONLY!" Absolutely DISGUSTING! I regret leaving her a tip, especially after her being inconsiderate to an older person. I will NEVER eat here again, and will tell EVERYONE I know how they treat customers, the horrible service and food! Not even CLOSE to Angelo's food!!!

Love the Spaghetti Carbonara, garlic knots and profiteroles. Right on the broadwalk so nice breeze and oceanview. My favorite italian restaurant on the Broadwalk.

We were staying next door at the Paradise Hotel, and our host Elvis suggested the place. It was a Saturday night around 6:30, on a relatively cold 72 degree night in Hollywood Beach. I say relatively cold, because we arrived from Ohio two days earlier when it was -14 with the windchill. These Floridians and their thin blood. But I digress. Anyways we decided to sit outside, which was just fine. Nice view of the "boardwalk" and listening to the ocean. A little breezy, but nothing was flying off the table, so that was a plus. I got a calzone with mozzarella and ricotta cheeses, and got to pick three things to fill it with. I went with spicy sausage, mushrooms, and pepperoni. At $12.50, I would say it wasn't a great value. It was actually pretty good, although the way it was put together, you never got all the toppings and cheeses in the same bite. My Dad went with the Chicken Marsala. I took a bite and it was very average. Not great, not terrible. The salad he got looked old, like it had been sitting around all day. They only had two dressings. Meh. Also, got a diet coke which didn't come with refills. The server told me so when I asked for a second, instead of just bringing one. I always appreciate that. Overall, it was a fairly average experience at an average price point. If that's what you're looking for, by all means swing by!

Don't understand the Negativity surrounding this place. Haven't been here since Angelo's Corner was the main stay so didn't know what to expect other than its inside outside seating directly on the broadwalk, inches from the sand and ocean view as a full moon blessed us this evening. Seated outside 3 adults and 1 two year old. Jack was great throughout making sure we were taken care of. A glorified outside beachside Pizza Parlor with your regular Italian favorites. Pizza was NY Style nice crust nice sauce and pretty much on the money. We got a small pie as well which is a little different as crust was thinner and fresh buffalo mozerrella was melted on top.. both were pretty good though. Entrees all came with salad was basic oil vinegar based house salad. 3 Entrees a Linquini Carbonara which was more like an alfredo with chunks of bacon. Rich but very good considering where we were. Chicken Francaiss was one breast split severed traditionally with side of pasta with same francais sauce. Chicken parm was probably weakest of the lot as cutlet was burnt a bit but tasty. Marinara sauce was ok but nothing spectacular. Beer & Wine only but just some beers consumed and they were ice cold with frosted mugs. Plates and utensils were on the cheap side but you are on the beach. As stated previously service was spot on and they add 15% to all checks so beware. Nothing spectacular here but I had no complaints and it is certainly a repeat under proper circumstances...

Food was good. Service was weird. We had 4 people dining and the food came out in three separate shifts. My son ordered a big salad. His came first and he was done before anyone else got any food. It was a meal sized salad not a starter so it should have been delivered with the other food. Two others had sandwiches which came after the salad was gone. The final person ordered a calzone. It was delivered at least 15 minutes after the sandwiches so they were almost done, too. It was like we were eating in shifts. The waitress apologized for the delay on the calzone because she said they come from different kitchens. They do a lot of pizza business to beachgoers, but since it started pouring right after we sat down there weren't any people taking pizzas to the beach like normal. Didn't really understand the long delays in between food delivery. The waitress was a bit slow when asked for things and didn't check in as often as she should have. Not sure how many tables she was covering, but I've had better service at busier restaurants so I don't think that was the problem. Other than that, everyone was happy with the food they got. I wouldn't go out of my way to eat here again, but if you're already at the beach it's not a bad place to get some food.

Amazing garlic rolls with fresh garlic, great marinara sauce for dipping. pizza is delicious, thin crust, not extremely crispy but perfect. The personal gourmet is also gourmet, a little different from. The large pie, but worth the extra cost. Sangria is fresh as well. . Stromboli is awesome too!

I'm here about once a week. I never get tired of it and I'm always on the beach and boardwalk. Staff is friendly even tho I've had to ask them to put the tv to a channel that isn't Spanish.. Pizza is very good especially the dressed pies and the rolls r good too. IMO tell them not too well done on the slices and the rolls..

First time in the area, always hard to find places for breakfast on the beach. Did a coffee recon before hand, lady at counter was pleasant, and some of the local regulars were in. Brought the family back for a breakfast , had great omelet, they had no problem making a special one for my wife, just check your bill, they do add the tip

Breakfast on a Sunday morning...it was early, no crowds as of yet...walked in and told we could sit anywhere...took FOREVER for someone to come over...asked what we wanted to drink...'one coffee and one hot tea'....15 minutes later it finally arrived...another long wait for a waiter to come over...apologized for the wait..took our order...2 egg and cheese burritos...20 minutes later they came out...asked for bill...was horrified that for a $13 bill they had the nerve to add in a 15% tip! The amount was highlighted in blue marker on the bill...are they kidding????? I wouldn't go back it you picked up my tab!

Food was below sub par. Tasteless and pricey. My boyfriend ordered the stromboli which was just okay. I had the lasagna (a recommendation from our server) which had no flavor. He said the sauce was their own recipe but it tasted like straight tomato juice with the consistency of a really watery sauce mixture. My 3 yr old had chicken tenders (I know, not something to order at an "Italian restaurant") which tasted like Tyson chicken tenders from the frozen food section of the grocery store (something i am very familiar with). Not even perdue brand? Come on! Long story short, I am now in the bathroom writing this review.. Yes, I said it! Only reason I'm giving 2 stars is all for the service . Our waiter was very helpful and accommodating. Very informative and honest about the menu- told us some recommendations and steered us clear of the less popular items which I appreciate to the fullest! All in all, terrible, toilet time inducing food but great, honest, old fashioned service.

My Husband and I had a wonderful lunch at this little beach cafe today and it was WONDERFUL!! We shared a chef salad and a calzone and it was more than enough for both of us. The food was aswesome, best calzone I have ever had, and the service was great. Will definitely go back next time we go to the boardwalk.

We are new to Hollywood. We decided to check out the beach area, because lets be honest, if we are going to enjoy living in a beach town, we want to find the best places to eat on the beach. At first we arrived, we were a little confused as to where we should find the hostess. I guess the layout is a little hard to figure out in that respect, however someone immediately noticed us walk in and motioned that we can sit wherever we like. So we picked the patio. The place is in a great location, and we were able to people watch as we sat having our dinner. We ordered garlic knots and then a sausage pizza. They were both wonderful and exactly what were looking for. The crust was crisp on the pizza, the sauce was tangy and it was what you would expect in a NY style pizza. Our service was great. Friendly, Polite and had great suggestions. All in all we had an excellent experience. One thing I think I would suggest to them is to update their menu's and special's flyers. They are a little beaten up and worn.

We went to the beach for the day. I was starving so I decided to grab a slice from here. Wow! Delish! Thin, crunchy, cheesy, goodness! Perfect for a beach day. Garlic knots were also delish. We'll definitely come back soon!

I would give this place two stars, but the location is fantastic if you are hanging on the beach. We stopped in for lunch while taking a sun break. I shared a veggie pizza that was flavorless and limp. Son had a hamburger and did not like it - too bland he said. Mom had a hot dog and loved it! Great service and fantastic location to sit and people watch on the Hollywood boardwalk. Service was quick and accommodating.

From sitdown till food - already an hour. They managed to run out of cups so at 15mph wind we are stuck with styrofoam cups outside. Now they can't find any menus, and we barely see the waitress. Not worth the wait...

I've come here on two separate trips and each time the waitstaff was super friendly and happy to accommodate me with my cranky toddler (yes, cranky on both occasions) during busy lunch hour. The pizza dough is excellent and super thin (and holds up well in the fridge), and the slices cost what a slice of pizza should cost ($2.50!), fruit salad was fresh and abundant, and the location, of course, is perfect: on the Broadwalk right next to a playground. (PS: it's a busy pizza joint in a highly touristy area... please don't expect gourmet Italian food)

Great oceanfront view, great food and good prices!! The Marinara pizza was awesome! The service was excellent.

One of the best places on the beach! I have found at a lot of the restaurants on the beach the staff can be pretty rude, but not here! They are very accommodating and fast. The food is delicious and the portion sizes are very generous. Their is NEVER a long wait for your food, and is always warm and RIGHT! This is always a place we take friends and family to when they visit!

Great pizza, quick and friendly service! Not sure why there are so many poor reviews but we just had a nice lunch. We shared a medium cheese pizza, crispy crust and the perfect amount of cheese and sauce. The waitress told us to sit anywhere and she took our order as soon as we sat down. The pizza took about 10-15 min to come out of the oven. When we left she offered to make our drinks to go. That was great for a beach day. This is exactly what I'd expect of a pizza place in the beach, obviously not a fancy place and not sure about the other food but the pizza gets 5- stars :).

Florio's was an authentic Italian dining experience. Being a closely held family restaurant, the effort that goes into every plate is evident. The pizza is delicious, the wine is a value pick. I would recommend this to anyone in the area looking for some of mama's cooking. Fantastico!

Entrees were reasonably priced with somewhat smaller portions and came with a salad. Our waiter was friendly and attentive. Our table was on the broad walk which was extra special. We ordered the garlic knots (comes with tomato sauce) which were out of this world, chicken parm, and chicken Francese. We would definitely return....

Ordered Pizza, Garlic Rolls and One large fountain soda. Garlic Rolls were good but for the love of everything, go eat pizza somewhere else! I'm all for greasy pizzas but I've never seen one like this. It smelled delicious but this was literally a heart attack waiting to happen. I could lift the pizza and watch the grease drip off. I patted the pizza down with hopes of making it better and I thought my eyes were playing tricks on me when 2 grease-drenched napkins later, I was still lifting my pizza and watching it drip. My husband was starving so abandoning was not an option but after my first slice I lost my appetite. Oh wait, are you choking on all that grease? Well after you've swallowed as much as you could stomach and you've reached the bottom of your glass, the server finds its a good time to mention there are no free refills. Insert eye roll and for the love of greasy pizza we just ask for another soda, whatever the cost. Good news, when the check arrives, they've already taken the liberty of including tip so be sure to check your itemized receipt before signing the credit card one they've so cleverly put atop. It was a 16% add on so it wasn't a big deal, just wanted to make sure you pay attention! ;)

This modestly priced restaurant sits right on the Broadwalk on Hollywood Beach. Sitting outside watching the morning sun over the ocean eating breakfast is one of the nicest experiences in Hollywood. Everyone loves the pizza, and you can tell, because visitors are always walking down the beach with the Florio's pizza boxes. Great little place.

Its a pizza place on the beach...one/two. Don't expect nyc or Chicago quality pizza. Sat down to eat, garlic rolls were good, bread garlic can not really go wrong. Pizza on the other hand, burnt. Dont call it thin crust, any place in the city does not serve the pizza blackened, save that for the sea food. One can only assume the place ran out of sauce, nothing but cheese was on it. And they charge for refills on soft drinks and preadd the tip fyi. Quick slice! Thats it, not a sit down kinda place. Many other subpar pizza.

Greasy super thin pizza, not a great balance. Good service. Probably popular as its on the boardwalk.

I ordered a Greek Omelete but asked that they change cheddar for feta and was charged 70 cents. I asked for a muffin instead of toast and charged 50 cents. Never once was I told about the extra charges. A couple dining next two me who were visiting from the convention center asked for a slice of pizza a deep dish. They were barked at " number one, go to the window if you want a slice, no slices served at the table and second no deep dish, we have not served deep dish for six months." Awful way to treat our Hollywood visitors. shame on you Florio's The food was OK but watch out for those hidden charges. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. They did take the 50 cents off but I was told now you know for the next time. How about stop nickle and dimeing patrons or at least telling them

Yummy breakfast! Been a couple of times and each time the wait staff is super friendly and the food is delicious. Also, get a pretty good breakfast for the price. This is becoming my new favorite place on the broad walk.

I love that Florio's is on the beach and you can sit outside and people watch. The pizza is good, and I have definitely found it better to order a whole pie rather than an individual slice. The service tends to be hit or miss. The inside isn't very pretty and the only reason I can think of to eat inside is if you need AC.

Meh. I've experienced better exactly. Maybe when I was younger a slice of pizza might have tasted better than it actually was...

Located on the Hollywood Beach boardwalk, this family owned Italian restaurant seemed to be the favorite of tourists and locals alike. Always packed at night, Florios offers some great food at inexpensive prices. Definitely a must stop if your staying on the Hollywood Beach Broadwalk.

This used to be Angelo's for years. The pizza is actually better now! It has a darker crispier crust with more flavor. The mushroom was amazing. The service was good and the place was packed. I want to try other pizza specialties when we go back.

I don't understand the bad reviews for this place. It's a little pricey for what it is but those were great garlic rolls and the pizza was tasty. Grab a table outside and soak in the sun with the ocean views!

Always have the Tri Merli pizza and garlic bread. Very tasty. Love its location on the boardwalk. Great place for lunch. You can sit outside and people watch. :) Service not terrible, but not great. Could be more attentive.

Two pizzas, $40. Not bad. Guy next to me ordered pizza too and a beer while waiting. He got his pizza and the full beer was knocked over. He asked for a refill and the waitress and cashier went on and on about how he would have to pay for it. Shame on you florios. Hope the inspectors zing you again on the next inspection of your filthy restaurant.

Okay, I have to agree with the reviews on service. Wish I could give separate reviews for the food quality and the waitstaff quality. The waiters suck. The food is great. The pizza here is AMAZING. Ask for extra sauce because they definitely skimp. The cheese is so fresh and the pizza sauce is not sweet which is so hard to find. Love it. Bottom line: if you can put up with sub-par service this place is decent. Also, they need a better selection of beer. Not everyone wants american beer with their pizza.

I've been here twice, last time was a few years back. The pizza was good for the area back in the mid-2000s when most New York style pizza in South Florida sucked, but things have really improved a lot throughout the area since then so now I would say this place is just average. The real draw for this place is it's location center of the broadwalk and the fact that it offers sit-down dining al-fresco right on the beach. The problem with this restaurant - and the reason for my 1 star review - is the attitude of its' managers and staff, who seem all too aware that most customers will put up with anything and keep coming back just because of this location. This restaurant is really two restaurants in one. There is a full-service sit-down section with a hostess and a wait list, accessed from the broadwalk on the beach-side. Then there is a by-the-slice area accessed from the north side fronting the park. What no sign, and no person tells you though, when you walk in from the north side, is that if you do not "get on the list" from the beach-side entrance, you aren't allowed to sit down - even in the mostly empty inside section. Basically, the underpaid servers don't want you taking up a table unless you are going to tip them. Which is fine, but the problem is there is no sign to tell you this if you come in from the by-the-slice entrance. There is nothing roping you off from wandering over to an empty table and parking your sweaty butt down and starting to eat the slices you just paid for and picked up. So that's where things went sour very quickly for my family the second time we went there. We went in with two kids on a sweltering day, and the restaurant was maybe half empty. I asked the lady from the slice line if we could sit down cool off, and she said fine. We're eating our meal happily when maybe 15 minutes in, a waitress comes over and starts yelling at us to get out, we have to leave, she's gonna give our table to someone else (remember, the restaurant is half-empty - she could park them anyplace). We tell her the lady behind the counter told us it was okay, and she runs off in a huff to get the manager. Then this big bouncer looking guy with a Brooklyn accent returns and tells us "politely" that he would normally make us leave immediately, but that today he would "do us a favor" and let us "hurry up and finish our slices", but then we have to leave as quickly as possible. I can only speculate that the wait staff here are horrifically underpaid and that their livelihoods depend on folks getting full-service in the restaurant. I feel for their situation. But honestly, their crappy pay is not my problem. I don't pay to eat (mediocre) food just to get treated like some kind of thief or cheater by the wait-staff and the manager. Read the other reviews here and on Google+. These owners have no recognition that if they continually treat people like this that word is going to get out - and patrons will stop coming. Do yourself and Hollywood Beach a favor and stop coming here - tell your friends about this crap. Drive these clowns out of business, and maybe someday this joint will get replace by a better restaurant in this outstanding location!

Surprised by the freshness of my salad. Very nice staff. One of my students with autism knocked over and broke a glass vase.... Everywhere. They were really nice about it and cleaned it up right away. Definitely a better option on Hollywood Beach!

This place is definitely not what it used to be when it was "Angelo's Corner". I had been going to Angelo's for as far back as I remember and I always loved it. I was a little upset to see that it had changed to what it is now. The service here is horrible, most of the servers are rude foreigners who don't really care much about anything. The last time I came here was at night, one of the servers told us to seat WHEREVER WE LIKED and we chose the biggest patio table since it was 7 of us, seconds later we had a very rude young woman tell us that we had to move because the section was closed... did they not just tell us to sit ANYWHERE?? Moving on, we chose another table where we were a little uncomfortable and waited about 10 minutes till we had to ask for menu's because it was clear nobody really cared if we were being helped or not. Our server was fortunately friendly and we had a pretty good experience. The sauce on the pizza is lacking, not as crispy as NY pizza should be but all in all it was ok. As Gina M. mentioned, There isn't much selection when it comes to beer... I really don't want to drink Bud Light, I'm a Yeungling, Blue Moon, or Amber Bock kinda guy. Let's upgrade those taps to beer people actually want to drink, put that liquor license to good use!

If I had the option of giving it zero stars I would. I used to frequent this place when it was Angelo's Corner when I lived in South Florida. I recently returned after a few years to see that it was now Florio's. To start, the service was horrible to say the least. Our server clearly hated her life and took it out not only on us but her other tables as well. She was so rude that I actually got up and walked out before even ordering. My friend decided to stay and ordered a soggy calzone. When he received the bill gratuity was added. When he asked about the added gratuity for one person, the server said that they add gratuity to any check that they want and walked away. My friend had called me and I met back up with him there where I overheard the racist server saying that the "black guy" was complaining about tipping, which was not the case. My friend new he was being singled out because he was black and that is why he questioned it. I wanted to say something but he asked me not to make a scene. I would avoid this place at all costs. The miserable server was a racist and the food has gone to crap also since turning into Florio's of Little Italy. There are plenty of other great restaurants on that strip so avoid this dump and bring your business elsewhere.

Their pizza is the best NY style pizza that I've ever had. Great location on the boardwalk. Friendly service on our visit. This will be my first stop next time I'm in Hollywood.

Pizza was very genuine just like New York style. One issue: The Credit Card receipt DOES NOT HAVE THE RESTAURANT'S NAME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I had to log into my Credit Card company to find the $101.92 was charged to Florio's. Attention FLORIO'S MANAGEMENT: PUT THE RESTAURANT's NAME on the customer's credit card receipt!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ummm....no. Ok, great location, and the pizza was not inedible. But the calzone was really gross (too buttery), lots of oil everywhere, uncreative menu. Mediocre service. Terrible ambience besides the ocean across the street. Get a slice here if you need to, but otherwise seek out more creative fare on the strip.

The waiter straight out said, "all of our seafood is frozen." Not a good sign. Even the shellfish is frozen. A very bad sign. The menu is straightforward, with the usual veal, chicken and pasta dishes listed. We started with a large cheese pizza, which tasted fine. Not great, but acceptable. It came out within five minutes of ordering which means it was not cooked to order, however. The salad was mediocre, with a bottled dressing. You can't make a homemade Italian dressing? Please- that's just lazy. Eggplant Parmesan was, well, not good. Linguini with previously frozen(!) mussels was butt-awful. Veal Marsala was cold. Ouch. The pasta was all Pre-cooked and soft - not al dente in the least. Bottom line: possibly the worst fake Italian joint in the tri-county area. Lazy owners. Avoid at all costs!

Paid 23 bucks for half plain half gourmet pizza! The waiter never told us that we pay for the whole gourmet even if you get half. Then they automatically charged the tip. BAD SERVICE! Management would not help us when we wanted to discuss the misunderstanding.

Florio's of Little Italy has good pizza. This use to be Angelo's Pizza a few years ago before Florio's bought it. I stopped in last night with the family and ordered 2 large pizzas and some chicken wings. The pizza was great and the wings were just as good. Prices are decent and the view you can;t ask for better..Right on the ocean. Service was quick and friendly. I have tried other pizza places on Hollywood Beach in the past.Florio's is now my favorite place to go.

I went with my family and other family friends with their young kids over the Memorial Weekend to this place to eat pizza. After we were sat down by our waiter the owner rudely yelled at me across the entire outside port in front of everyone that we have to stand up because someone else was waiting for this table. I told him that we had waiting already and he can confirmed with the waiter. The waiter backed us up so we kept our table. Then this rude manager never apologized but still managed to come over and asked me in his loud voice again to see if I can move to another table as a "favor". I was so upset at this manager already I said no. If it wasn't because we had hungry kids I would have left this pizza place immediately. When we finished and had paid, I approached the manager quietly to let him know how he made me feel, tell him that he embarrassed me and give him the opportunity to apologize for the whole situation but instead he again started yelling in front of everyone about me. I told him I was never coming back. He said even louder and everyone saw this: "Good! Thank you! Go to TripAdvisor and what ever else and rate me!!!" I just walked away quietly with my family. My four year old even said "mommy this man is very mean and God is watching him". So here I am telling my story. I hope everyone takes the time to read this before even thinking of going to this Pizza restaurant with the rudest manager in Hollywood, FL. The pizza was below average.

PUKE!!! We were served raw shrimp... not undercooked but raw and a little bug walked out from under the meat. This was one of the worse restaurants I have ever been to. I am shocked that they have not made someone sick.. I could not believe my eyes and I knew from the minute the plates hit the table that this was a BIG mistake. eaters beware..

This is my second visit, and I have yet to try the pizza, but judging by the Calzone, the Veal Parm, and the Chicken Francese, someone knows how to cook here. Like almost everything on the Hollywood broadwalk, the atmosphere is laid back and the attraction is what's outside the three walls of the restaurant, but the service was good on both visits too, so I'll be back.

We noticed Florio's of Little Italy because it has tables outside where you can enjoy the breeze and look at the ocean. My boyfriend and I realized that this restaurant was meant for tourists who eat there once and never come back again. But we decided to take a chance. We ordered a large pizza because it looked good on other guests' tables. It was okay, nothing special. The place was somewhat busy and our waitress did not come ONCE to check on us, or to ask if we wanted anything else. We wanted to get a soda but couldn't. My boyfriend tried to flag down another waitress a few times but she completely ignored him, and seemed grumpy. Our waitress showed up after we were done eating for a bit. She just brought a to-go box (I guess she saw we did not finish the pizza) and our check (again without asking if we wanted something else). Like another reviewer mentioned before, they automatically charge a 15% tip. Then when they bring you the receipt to sign, it still has a line for tips, so I'm sure other customers have tipped twice because they did not look at their original receipt. Overall, I would NOT recommend this place, there are plenty of other places on that boardwalk where you can eat better, cheaper, and meet friendlier staff.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
