My boyfriend and I were in Hollywood for a birthday vacation all the way from Vermont and I read some reviews on yelp looking for good Italian I was surprised and extremely impressed by everything they had to offer. I ordered the eggplant Parmesan and it was a HUGE portion you can tell the chef pays close attention to detail while cooking his dishes I loved it!! Aside from the delicious food our waiter and the staff as a whole were so warm polite and welcoming they made our last day in Florida one to remember. It is very seldom you have such attentive people in a restaurant to insure your dinner and overall experience are the best possible but they make sure of it here. Anyone who has not gone out to eat here is missing out!! I will definitely be back again when I'm in the area but until then I'll be sure to recommend your restaurant to all friends and family whom have the chance to dine with you :)

The Best in Hollywood! My girlfriend and I have had the Best ItalIan food anywhere! The bartenders and the owner always treat you like a friend!

This place has become my neighborhood favorite. The owner Sammy is one of the warmest and nicest people you'll ever meet. So far I've had the meatball and salad app, sausage and peppers, veal parm, pork chop parm which is absolutely amazing and their tortaleni and all are outstanding and as good as any Italian restaurant in south Florida. This place is a gem. You can't go wrong with dinner here. Trust me, you'll love it.

Brought a party of 9 to Fascinos last night-Some hard to please Italians from NY. The consensus was that the restaurant has great food!! Specifically our group ordered Caesar Salad, Meatballs, Veal Cutlet Parmesan, Brick oven Chicken, Veal Milanese, linguine and clam Sauce and the Five Finger Cavetelli. This restaurant will now be on our list of go to places in Hollywood.

Wine and food prices were reasonable. Had spaghetti arribiata with meatballs. Delicious but Very spicy. Wife had eggplant parmesan that she liked. Nice atmosphere, great service, what's not to like. $5 valet parking charge.

On vacation in Hollywood with friends we were looking for good Italian food. We read the reviews on Yelp & chose Fasciano's. The great reviews were spot on. The food and service was excellent. All six of us were elated with our selections and our server, Anthony. I had a special of shrimp with pasta & Diablo sauce. I love Diablo sauce and order it with frequency wherever we dine. This was probably the best I've had.

Wow! Recommended by a friend who lives nearby, this is Real Italian! Gotta have the Meatball and Romaine appetizer! Veal Marsala, was so tender cut it with a fork. Wife's pasta was excellent. Family owned and service was great. If your in the area try this place, it's as good as NY!

I was traveling on business and wanted a good meal. This is authentic Italian with great cozy atmosphere. Their fried calamari is unique and delicious. Definitely worth a try. I believe I had Harrison's on the Beach, a penne pasta with grilled chicken in a lemon wine sauce. Just what I was wanting, something light and flavorful. Service was top notch

I hosted a party for 100 people in Hollywood last weekend and had the fortunate experience of finding Fascino's and working with them for the event. They were the most gracious, helpful, do-whatever-it-takes to make the party a success host I could have asked for. Sam (owner), Johnny (chef), Andy (lead bartender) and the rest of the crew were absolutely fabulous. The food was amazing, drinks were spot-on and the service was better than we could have asked for. I had a chance to eat at Fascino's the night before the party as well and had a fabulous meal. I'd recommend it, whether you're looking for a low-key dinner or a place to host a party in the Hollywood, FL area.

AMAZING FOOD! If you are looking for great Italian in the Hollywood area, look no further, this is your spot. It is located conveniently in downtown Hollywood on Harrison street, a block off the circle. Perfect place for a date night or getting together with family. We made a reservation which didn't seem necessary when we first got there, but the place filled up quickly after we sat down (on a Thursday evening). The waiter went over the specials with us and started us off with some fresh baked bread w/ olive oil, balsamic and grated cheese. My waistline would be so happy if restaurants stopped doing this, but the bread is so so delicious. My husband and I went through two baskets. They also serve sauteed peppers which were a unique addition. Hubby ordered one of the specials which was a seafood pasta in a spicy tomato sauce. It was HUGE with all sorts of seafood including clams, mussels, calamari and shrimp. I went with the spaghetti carbonara because I had heard great things and it did not disappoint. Even with everything that looked delicious on the menu I am not sure I'd have the will power to try anything else when I go back because this dish was AMAZING. So creamy and flavorful with prosciutto, mushrooms and peas in a yummy parmesan sauce. The staff was great - very friendly and personable. Excellent service!! 5 stars all around!

Although this review is a couple of months late, and they are closed for renovations, let me just note here that my wife and I had a wonderful evening here. Our host was fantastic, he was attentive and let us know how everything was coming along in the kitchen. We started the evening off with Mussels in a garlic and white wine sauce. It was great. My wife enjoyed the cheese ravioli of which I partook, as is a husband's privilege when the wife's not looking. It was really good. I ordered the Zuppa De Mare, it was perhaps a bit too spicy for my weak palate, but don't let that stop you from ordering it, because I still wolfed the whole plate down. It's a great place, classy, not your typical Italian neighborhood place, Fascino's adds a touch of class to your dining experience. I would most definitely go back.

I ordered a Spaghetti Carbonara to-go, it was absolutely delicious. Super creamy and tasty. They are very generous with the portions, I got a small loaf of bread, sautéed peppers and the perfect amount of parm cheese on the side. Def a little bit on the pricey side but very well worth it. Two people can def eat from one portion.

While on vacation it is sometimes hard to know where to start when looking for somewhere to eat. Luckily, I live on Yelp and the Florida community helped me out there. My boyfriend was craving Italian (as was I) and we searched only to discover a million choices. We settled in on this place for the location and the menu. Upon our arrival we noticed they had valet, but we had been lucky enough to find a spot across the street on our own. We were greeted immediately and taken to our table. They made us feel welcome and were very attentive throughout the entire meal. We were given some delicious bread along with garlic and cheese which we mixed on our own with some olive oil. It was fantastic. I ordered the Fedelini pasta with Bolognese sauce. It had so much flavor packed into that sauce I could have nearly ate just that. I will say the main downfall that I found disappointing was that they don't make their own pasta. From our table we could see all the boxes of pasta. They didn't have much for a beer menu but, it is Italian so you've got plenty of wine choices. Also, the kitchen staff was kind of loud and yelling words you don't usually want to hear during a meal... With that being said, I'd definitely return but I'd like to try some other establishment before there again.

very good food very good service and very good atmosphere. I highly recommend the brick chicken which I think is a specialty of the house but I had a cavatelli pasta with meatballs and sausage that was off the charts. The cavatelli was homemade and tasted amazing.

There is nothing that is more impressive than an owner who truly cares about his business and takes full responsibility. We as yelpers who review do not try and ever hurt a business, we speak honestly in hopes the business owner improves and cares enough about his business and customers to change and fix any issues. Again, my first experience here was amazing and I look forward to going back in hopes it will be the same as my first. Update to come. A business owner who cares so much and takes reviews so seriously and cares has my upmost respect. Grazie!

Whenever we go to Thai or Latin restaurants, I invariably order a whole fried snapper, a South Florida staple. Who would have guessed that this great Italian bistro would serve it better than any I've had elsewhere. Perfect ambiance, professional wait staff (albeit stretched a little bit thin on a busy Saturday night) and great food make for an excellent result. Led here by a stack of positive Yelp reviews, we'll be back.

Fascino's is our go-to when we want amazing food and are starving-the appetizers are so delicious (especially the baked clams) that we can't help having two courses. :) the service is always warm, welcoming and stellar. The food is amazing-filet is consistently one of the very best anywhere (including high-end steakhouses). I love the chicken parm, especially because it comes with a side of delicious tortellini Alfredo-you get to try both sauces. :) Absolutely adore this place and a rock-solid go-to when you have company in town. Just wish they added the lobster ravioli as a regular menu item!

Great Italian food. We were looking for a good Italian place for linguine and clams that was reasonably priced. This is the place. Great wine selection, very fresh ingredients and excellent neighborhood atmosphere. The linguine was perfect as was the meatball appetizer. The restaurant is just off the main drag but very easy to find. Valet parking takes the hassle out of parking. All in all, one of the better meals we had during our visit.

Fantastic food, great menu, warm and friendly owner. It was our first time to Fascino's and I can't wait to go back. We were welcomed at the door by the owner and seated promptly. Delicious warm bread and peppers were set in front of us and a great meal began. I had their Brick Chicken and it was one of the best preparations I've ever had. My wife had a terrific pasta dish of linguini and clams and loved it. Friends had the red sauce on Ziti and loved it and the veal and meatballs were excellent. A must visit when you are in the Hollywood area. Worth a trip from nearby towns. Bravo!

Standard Italian fare. Nothing spectacular, but it was by no means bad. It was just pretty middle of the road. The one highlight were the hot peppers in oil that they bring out with the bread when you arrive. As for my meal, I went with "The Beach." "Thinly-cut strips of chicken breast sautéed with sun-dried tomatoes and marinated artichoke hearts in a garlic lemon white wine sauce, then topped with seasoned bread crumbs and baked to perfection." It was really good and the portion was nice too. For $20 I would say it was a bit on the higher end of my price range for chicken and pasta. Either way, it was still good. Our server was a bit slow that night, but the restaurant wasn't that crowded (Thursday around 9) so it wasn't too annoying. Overall it's a good option in the Hollywood strip.

First, let me say the owner and staff are terrific! It is truly a "family" atmosphere. The owner sat with our group for a few moments and chatted and he was a doll! The chef came over and greeted us as well. On my way to the ladies room, you pass the kitchen.....amazingly spotless! This chef really takes pride in a clean kitchen! Very impressive! Now, the food......I had the short ribs and they were amazing! We were celebrating a birthday and the chef brought out dessert for our friend. We thought it was tiramasu with a flair, but it was actually a white chocolate rum cake. O M G!!!!! Delicious! They are closed for September so I am totally bummed....because I'm dying to go back! Don't miss this one guys!!

Meal starts off great with roasted peppers and bread. For an appetizer we had the eggplant stack which was an incredibly generous portion. The eggplant was perfectly fried and the tomatoes, arugula and mozzarella were fresh and lightened up the dish. My husband and I both ordered specials. He had a pasta dish with spinach, mushrooms, ricotta cheese and ricotta cheese. Pasta was perfectly al dente and delicious! I ordered a mushroom ravioli in a mushroom marsala sauce. It was perfection. My only regret is that this restaurant is so far from my home. Easily the best Italian restaurant I've been to in South Florida.

After a few days on Disney's dining plan My wife and I were ready to try some real food.. So off to Hollywood and a great spot off of Harrison's right down the street from one of my favorites Lola's is Fascinos.. This place is much the Italian restaurant. Service was top notch. Very attentive and everyone working hard. More old school vibe but still a very nice chill place.. My wife had a mushroom ravioli in a Marsala cream sauce and a side of risotto( special request) and I had the best most tender veal piccata I've had in a long time.. We will definitely be back.. I recommend Fascinos for a nice quiet dinner with great food.

The food is very good here, but way over-priced. You really expect top notch ambience for a 5 star experience but it is more of a tavern than a nice restaurant. I also thought Yelp was mis-leading in saying it had 2 star cots. It was almost $200 for a dinner for two. Seems pricey for a 3 star city like Hollywood, FL.

I tried Fascino's, a fairly new restaurant on the Hollywood scene this past Saturday night. I took my mom there for her birthday dinner. When we arrived at 7:30 it was VERY crowded. When we were trying to enter the door couldn't even close behind us because many people were speaking to the hostess about tables. This is former home of Fulvios, and a great location, but it is an intimate setting and I had never seen it so full. Despite our 7:30 reservation we had to wait 20 minutes at the crowded bar for a table. No problem. We ended up getting a very choice booth for just the two of us. The service was a bit chaotic. Not bad, just confusing. It seemed like many different people were coming to our table besides the main server, who was Italian and difficult to understand at times. This restaurant is definitely on the higher end. A thick wine list, a fairly extensive menu of fresh fish, Italian favorites, pastas, veal, different chops, lobster, etc. I had the Veal Oscar with Hollandaise sauce with asparagus and garlic mash. Very good, tender veal - but not much of it. The Caesar salad was just okay. My mom's "Harrison on the Beach" chicken pasta was nice and she really enjoyed it. This is a great environment - it almost feels like dining in a large city. Unfortunately service seemed to drop off toward the end of the meal, and I thought it was a bit rude that they were breaking down tables right in front of us at 9PM on a Saturday. A few kinks to work out but all in all this restaurant could be one of the better places for a nice dinner in downtown Hollywood.

We stayed in Sunny Isles/North Miami and drove to Fascino's for dinner. OMGosh, this place is awesome!! One man band entertainment, owner greets you at the hostess stand, top notch service, Chef greets each table and the food is excellent. For $5 they have convenient valet parking. You will not be disappointed...this place rocks!

Surprisingly good! I went in with low expectations because its Hollywood, but the moment we sat down the staff went out of their way to make sure we had everything we wanted and needed. The food was pretty good, but what stood out for me was the experience.

Came here for NYE with some high expectations, fortunately this restaurant surpassed my expectations. The staff was ridiculously attentive and nice, the food didn't take long to come out (considering it was NYE and the restaurant was packed), and the food was absolutely delicious. I ordered the pasta carbonara; the bacon was cooked to perfection, the sauce was just right, and the peas were fresh. My only "complaint"? I would say that it needed just a little bit more flavor! My boyfriend ordered the cheese raviolis and said they were great. Fascino's is defenetly one of Hollywood's hidden gems. Love this place, totally coming back for another date night!

Went here for dinner on a busy Friday night and had an overall good experience with some ups and downs. We were seated right away and then were proceeded to be left there for over 10 minutes as no one came to our table to take our drink order. The bartender eventually came over and proceeded to ask us if we wanted a drink to which we ordered some wine. Now, as a preface, I did not find the wine list to be that great. It was pedestrian at best. Anyways, the bartender came back over with our white wine, which was not cold at all. So, we had to wait another 15 minutes for it to become cold enough to be consumed. After another 5 minute wait on top of this, the owner came over and asked if we had been helped. Soon thereafter, our server miraculously appeared. I would also point out that the menu has several misspellings on it, which is always fun. Now, for the good part. For appetizers, we ordered the Burratta and the Caesar Salad. Both were extremely good with the Burratta being the star, as always. I loved the anchovies on the salad, though. For entrees, we ordered the Veal Piccata and the Rigatoni with Sunday gravy. Both dishes were spectacular and made up for the poor service we received earlier. The wine went well with dinner once it finally cooled down and it was a decent experience. I am hoping to go back soon and willing to try it again. Here's to hoping that the service will be improved!

The owner called the next day to apologize for not greeting us getting my phone number from our reservation. That was a very nice gesture on his part. The other members of my group did not feel slighted as I did,I guess my expectations are a little different than others, but this is a personal review. Will definitely go there again and see what happens.

Just ate here tonight & We both feel this was the best Italian dinners we had in ages. As an Italian myself, I seldom order this kind of meal because it falls short of what I ate growing up. Not here. The owner & staff are warm and friendly. Dinner begins with warm bread & the BEST roasted peppers! A small side salad was ordered - it was hefty with plenty of fresh vegetables & romaine and easily fed two. Between us, we sampled the cheese ravioli, meatballs & bolognese over gluten free pasta. All were absolutely scrumptious! We were too full for dessert, but the coffee was hot & delicious! The ambiance is a little plain and dimly lit - but the food was a total home run. Valet parking optional, too. Wish we were staying a few more days so we can go again - it was THAT good!

Fascino's is an excellent new Italian restaurant located in the former Fulvio's location on 1900 Harrison Street in Hollywood. I began at the bar with some nice wine served by the very friendly bar staff professionals who could not have been any nicer or attentive. Then moved over to the dining tables for a feast. They brought sautéed peppers and fresh bread that was a nice touch. The Meatball and salad appetizer could've been an entire meal. It was absolutely delicious. The sauce was very tasty! I shared a Veal Chop that was perfect and came with Fettucine Alfredo made with homemade pasta that reminded me of being in Italy. The owner Sammy, a successful restauranteur from Chicago, brought his wonderful chef down to Hollywood and we are lucky to have this new addition to Harrison Street, Hollywood. My whole experience there was GREAT! I hope next time I will leave some room for dessert.

In Hollywood for a Convention- I selected this restaurant via yelp so we could enjoy a meal away from the fray. The atmosphere was just what we wanted: we got a booth and could overlook the whole restaurant. We tried a wine that was suggested by our waiter, and it was fantastic. Usually we have our own ideas on wine! On the spectrum from the heavier meat dishes to the lighter fish options, our table of 3 were well satisfied with our meals, and could certainly see going there again.

My fiance and I have been wanting to try Fascino's so we came here for a belated Valentine's Day dinner. It was great! The lighting and decor provide a romantic and classy atmosphere. I had the Harrison's on the Beach and he had the Veal Oscar. Mine could have been a little more flavorful, but his dish was excellent. They brought roasted peppers and bread when we sat down and our waiter provided great service. We would definitely come back for another date night or with friends.

Solid food, even better service. I liked it and will go back. I ordered something off menu, which they were more than happy to do. A tad pricey for Hollywood, but it's nice to have something with good Italian food downtown.

I was looking for a good Italian restaurant to go to for my birthday. Decided to check this place out based on the reviews on Yelp. Had been craving a good chicken parm with angel hair pasta. As silly as it sounds, I called the restaurant beforehand to see if they served angel hair. It is one of the few pastas I like and not available everywhere. The gentleman who answered said that they did and told us to come on in. When I went to place my order the waiter said they don't have it. I told him I called and spoke to someone who assured me they did and asked him to doublecheck. He very unapologetically stated that the person I spoke with was the owner and they don't have it. Our appetizer came out pretty quick but the food took a very long time. A couple that was seated after us got their food, finished eating, and paid their bill before we even got our entrées. There were only two waiters and one or two people in the kitchen on a relatively busy night. Service was sub par and the food was only mediocre. Very unimpressed with this place. Would not recommend it.

The newest addition to the numerous Italian restaurants in Hollywood. Fascino's is by far my favorite Italian restaurant in Broward County. The food is excellent, the service it incredible, the owner, Sam makes a point of letting you know he's delighted you have come in. If I could eat out every night....I'd be happy to dine at Fascimo's!

We had a great dinner here on New Years Eve. They were busy, but the service was spotless. Food was very yummy. Started with the somewhat unorthodox meatball salad as it seemed novel, and we're very pleasantly surprised as it tasted great -- try it! Mains were also great, veal was perfectly cooked and pasta with chicken and artichokes and sundried tomatoes was perfectly balanced.

Grest restsurant. Had a great time, the owner Sam was very welcoming and warm. Andy is a great barkeep/bartender. Everything was clean, food was amazing and prepared quickly. The best part was th service! Our server, Dominic, was very attentive and anticipated our needs. Five stars, will go there again :)

Can this place get any better.. I came to Hollywood Florida on business again and had to eat at Fascinos. This time when I walked through the door the owner Sam (Uncle Sam as I now call him) immediately recognized me and brought my party a round of drinks.. WOW.. What restaurant does that. We sat for dinner, and started with the baked clams and of course the meatball salad. Both were awesome. For dinner my son had the pounded out pork chop parmesan and I had the parmesan and prosciutto crusted new york strip. I was able to cut it with a butter knife. Needless to say we both ate everything on our plates. I ordered a pasta for the table of tortellini alfrado that was to die for. Ended the meal with tiramisu and choc cake. I had though my first experience here was great but this time I might just move in there. LOL. This restaurant is just amazing. I had the pleasure of meeting John the head chef and of course I had Vince the waiter take care of me again. See you guys in a few months when I am back in Florida.

Found this restaurant on yelp. I'm from New Jersey where great Italian food is found everywhere. Best Italian meal I've had in Florida. The fried eggplant, calamari and stuffed clams were excellent. I had the cavatelli with a side of meatballs which were to die for. The service was great. Would definitely recommend this restaurant.

Go to Fascino's. After a subpar meal here in Hollywood, we were looking for an authentic and tasty Italian meal. From start to finish, this meal was everything we were looking for. From the friendly bartender with his spot-on recommendations to the chef who personally came out of the kitchen with his, this experience was one worth repeating. With an owner and staff as friendly as these, this restaurant can't help but flourish.

Found this AMAZING Italian restaurant by chance! Couldn't have been more pleasantly surprised. All the staff were friendly, knowledgable and accommodating. The food was PHENOMINAL from start to finish! The vibe here is great with rat pack music going in the background and just an all around laid back feel! Can't wait to go back--in fact were going tonight =)

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
