I'm giving Capone's four stars for what it is...NOT what I imagine it could be. Capone's is a typical SouthFl bar and grill and nothing more...cold beer and greasy fried food. Don't expect haute cuisine and white glove treatment...A landmark that draws me back for exactly what it is. When I want 4 star food and service...I don't come here...when I want cold beer, fried food, polite service and a respite from being in the sun all day...This is the place!

Worst place i've been in my life! The server was so rude, we ordered a salad to start, a pizza with light tomato sauce, the salad came after i finished the pizza was basically just tomato sauce, i ordered a bottle of water and came after the food, we complained and the server start arguing with us, then we went to talk to the manager, now i understand why is that place like that, the manager was a rude stupid man who treated us like shit, he starts yelling at me, and coming after me!!! Worst experience of my life, i hope nobody never go to that place, nasty food, and rude staff.

Will keep this one quick and simple. (just like the restaurant) Pizza A-Ok (yup, just like the stars I gave it). It was pizza. You know, dough, cheese and toppings.Nothing else to this pizza. Was it Lou Malnattis? HELL NO! I like all kinds of pizza. Shoot, I even like cold pizza. It's just that it was not memorable for me to give it a higher rating. It. Was. Just. Pizza. The view was outstanding since we sat outside. The inside was pub-ish (is that a word?) Some video games, a bar and some borderline questionable bathrooms. Service was black and white. You order, they bring it. Not too much interaction going on there (good or bad). Would I go back if I had a choice? NOPE. Done. On to the next review.

Conciser me not impressed. I'm from Chicago, and I'd like to think I know good Chicago Style pizza. This isn't it. Sorry folks. From the sauce to the crust, it just didn't do it for me. Our service was lacking too. From the time we came in and were unable to find someone to seat us, to waiting for service and then waiting for pretty much everything. it was a long night of waiting. Our server was nice, just not very attentive. The only redeeming quality this place has is the view off the back deck. I have to say I am curious about the other items on the menu and thinking that since the other reviewers gave it a good score, maybe we just went here on a bad night. Perhaps we will have to give it a try again sometime.

Good locals bar. Best to sit at bar for better service. Love the Stack of Sicily and baked clams.

One of my favorite local spots in the area, food isn't going to rock your socks off but the service is fun, personal and friendly. The fact that you can eat right on the water is an added bonus as well. My personal favorite is the wild caught Mahi Sandwhich. It's pretty much the only thing I get when I go though I've heard the pizza is decent as well.

Ate there today with my wife and 8 year old daughter.Free Valet parking, quick outside or inside seating. We sat outside. Great spot on the intercoastal . We ordered a medium pie half Margahrita and half cheese and 10 Thai Chili wings. We had 2 water and a coke. The final bill was $27 pus a &5 tip. Service was pretty good and the waitress was friendly. Didn't offer refills or refresh water or ice The pizza was not good. My wife and I both compare it to Little Ceasars. Not a whole lot of flavor from the Tomato or the Basil. The cust was almost exactly Little Ceasars mass produced conveyor oven style. The wings were huge and very flavorfull and cooked perfect. I personnaly lke mall crispy wings, but if you like big wings, then these were very good. The Tha Chili sauce was very tasty. The side of blue cheese was good too and looked homemade. I didn't try the chicago style pizza. The outside deck was nice. It wouldn't be my first choice.

Went there one night for pizza. It was good. So a few nights later we wanted pizza again but wanted to stay in our room so we ordered delivery. Service was good and the pizza is very good. We may do that again before we have to go home. Darryl

Super Bowl Sunday, terrible food and terrible service. Place was not that crowed since we were able to get 2 seats at the bar and they also had other available seating throughout resturant. And yes, we do know its a bar, so we don't expect this to be a five star restaurant. However, we ordered a simple cheeseburger, that when my husband took a bite it was awful no flavor at all. It seems like that frozen patty was smacked down on the grill and call it a burger. I ordered a kids hotdog and the fries HELLO how can you screw that up. Well the poor hotdog was chewy and hard to bite. We then ordered wings, wow terrible. Then the bar staff running around like chickens with heads cut off. We had to flag people down to get service. This bar is simply not equipped to have big events. And if I'm not mistaken the owner instead of helping out his staff he was enjoying his super bowl with his own friends. Why own a bar? If your not running it. And yes they have been there for yrs. so I am sure owner and staff don't care what people think. But the sad news is wait until Margaritaville opens summer of 2015 all those patrons will go to the new place across the street. Hollywood has a lot of tourist and I am sure they will go to a new place.

It isn't that Capone's is soooo great, it's just that there next door neighbor, Le Tub, is just that bad! Capone's Flicker Lite, is really not aptly named for the location. That is it's a great outdoor restaurant with killer views. Indoor, eehhhhh not really. it has more of a bar atmosphere. They need a little work indoors. The service was great no complaints, fast attentive wait staff. The food: The stuffed clams are a hit, and if you order 1/2 dozen your full, so share these. The calimari is spot on, The Grouper fingers are fresh and tasty. and the fish dip also is a large portion. This is a great place to sit around outside, and drink a beer and nosh on fish dip, and stuffed clams. How bad can life be!

They serve up some real good pie, pizza that is, and they are right on the water. If it is raining, scoot by and there are some sweet specials whilst it rains. Over the years I've eaten at Capone's many times and have been pleased with just about everything, including their smoked fish dip. The place can be a little ghetto on Friday and Saturday nights, but still a good time had by all.

Horrible place!!! I was there last Sunday and we ordered a Ribeye and a SPIDER the size of a penny was on the food. The manager had the audacity to CHARGE for the steak saying that the spider was laying on the vegetables not on the steak. Give me a break!!!! I used to go there a couple of times, but now.....forget it!!!!!

I've been coming to flicker lite for almost 20 years. Food used to be better but is a hit or miss. The grouper finger sometimes are fantastic and sometimes way to greasy. The caesar salad is crisp, croutons stale. The Chicago style pizza can be excellent and than next time doughy. The drinks make sure it's exactly what you want. I made the same mistake not once but twice (separate times)doing a bartender recommendation, did not like the drink. Literally had two sips of this drink called baby Guinness and was forced to pay for it $10.00 dollar drink. Outside is great view, it's a great local bar but it's changed thru the years.

Horrible, just horrible. Severs are rude and slow as molasses. Sat down and didn't receive WATER till an hour later. Very dirty plates and tables. Don't sit outside because the servers forget you exist.

yes..............5 stars. no, it's not a 5 star place but it is the best pizza/seafood place directly on the water. i've been going here for years & last Saturday we took some friends & family out who have never been here. Dont be afraid of the street view. Use the free valet & hope for a table outside on (yes, ON the water.....not near or close to the water.....but on the water) 2 adults & 6 kids all 12 & under............our waitress Selena was fantastic....helpful, sarcastic, funny. We had cheese sticks, conch fritters, escargot, oysters, grouper fingers, white pizza, regular pizza, a cheeseburger.....probably some other food, 1 margarita & 2 beers the bill was under $100.00............and the food was FANTASTIC!! watching boats go by, in the breeze.......couldnt possibly beat it Great Job Flicker Lite............we'll be back............again

My family and I used to order delivery from capone's once a week. The food is consistently good, but lately the delivery guys are killing the restaurant. If you're lucky enough to get your proper order there is a 80% chance that you have no dressings for salads or to dip, as with some of the apps. I ordered from there two days ago and waited an hour and 45 minutes for food, after being told the delivery guy got stuck in an elevator. Oh, and I had no dressing for my salad. I so want to love this place but they're working agains themselves. Get good employees or your clients will go elsewhere.

A five star pizza joint dive. not fancy, but great pizza and good service from nice people. ate there last saturday nite with the wife. amanda was our server, about 6 months pregnant, great smile, great service. had a large hand tossed pizza with pepporoni and ricotta. it came out hot and fresh and it was good. kinda sorry we didnt order the deep dish as i heard it was good. watched the stanley cup on large TVs. relaxed, casual atmosphere. dont go if you are snobby at all. if you want a good neighborhood pizza joint, that happens to be on the intracoastal waterway, this is it. we were very happy. they could use a better wine list if you like wine the way we do. would like to see more italian wine choices by the glass.

Per a recommendation from my boss, we went here to celebrate an award my section received for outstanding work. The criteria for us picking this place was it had to be a dive with drink specials and great food. So when my boss mentioned Chicago Style Pizza I gladly voted to give this place a try. I walked in and the restaurant/bar it looked pretty cool with it's Chicago themed signs on the wall. The bathrooms were clean but dirty, if you know what I mean, so the dive bar issue was covered. We had two servers and both of them were very pleasant. They had beer and well drink specials all reasonably priced. Another check mark. My group ordered Mozzarella sticks and three pizzas. The mozzarella sticks looked more like big chucks of fried cheese. My buddy said they were pretty good. All three pizzas were regular style not Chicago. They looked good, but no one mentioned if they tasted good. I really wasn't paying attention because I had already decided that I was getting some Chicago deep dish pizza to take home to the family. I ordered one large Chicago Deep Dish with the sauce on the bottom with mushrooms and sausage and One medium Chicago Deep Dish with sauce on the bottom with pepperoni. They delivered my pies and they looked great. I said my good byes to my remaining colleagues and I started the long trek home and trust me its a long drive from Hollywood Beach to West Coral Springs. When I got home my son was so excited because he loves Unos Pizzeria. He dove right in and said it was pretty good. I took a bite of my pizza and the first thing I noticed it was missing the sausage and mushrooms. Man I was pissed. After driving all that way and having a good time to have them screw my order up really sucked. My anger must have effected my taste buds because I really wasn't impressed with the pizza. The crust seemed to doughy and the sauce was to sweet. I didn't like it. When I went to work the next day I asked the guys if they like the pizza and they all replied no. Three guys who had been to this place before said the pizza wasn't as good as they had years ago. Hmmmmmm Remember to tell them that Dan sent you for everything except the pizza. Stay Hungry!

Veteran Hollywood pizza place on the intracoastal. It's not 100% authentic Chicago pan & Chicago beef, but the food is very good. Good beer selection. Friendly staff.

Best pizza on the beach. Hint: get the hand-tossed crust, not the Chicago style. Great happy hour, beer specials all day long, open to close. Great view, seating right on the intracoastal.

Chicago Deep Dish pizza, sauce on top. That's really all I have to say. Because once you try this, you'll be hard pressed to eat "Chicago"-style pizza anywhere else. Cheesy, saucy, and a slightly crispy crust. Plus, you can eat along the water and watch boats cruise by. Then you can wave your slice at them and see who's the jealous one!

DISGUSTING!!! This used to be one of my favorite places and the last few times it keeps going down and down. This time was the worst and it lost my business forever. Everything was disgusting. It used to get away with mediocrity because of the awesome view but they have let the outdoor area get so dilapidated that doesn't hold up anymore. It's dirty, smelly and the food is gross. It's such a shame but given that someone hit their front window almost a year ago and they still haven't been able to fix it is telling. There is some major mismanagement here since the owner died and left it to his children. Another below mediocre place on Hollywood Beach. Gross Gross Gross. It's always so sad to see a place that was once so great just go to shit. Great opportunity for someone to go in and buy or take this over.

Absolutely loooove this place!!! I live in Chicago and have a condo here in dania beach, if I want good Chicago style yummy food I come here!!! The pizza is awesome, my boyfriend loves their mahi mahi sandwiches. I come every year for the great food and bomb scenery! Free valet too btw. Sometimes services sucks but thank god the food always makes up for it.

Been here many many times...the meat lover pizza is outstanding!!!! You have t try it...the service is ok, but not very friendly at all. Also, $2.00 for a game of pool is steep if you ask me.

DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT EATING HERE! This was absolutely without a shadow of a doubt the worst pizza I have ever had! I ordered deep dish and they brought me thin crust. When I finally got my deep dish pizza 20 minutes or so later, the crust was burned and not in a good way. The inside was COLD! It was like they used frozen ingredients or something. The sauce was so plain and boring! It was like some crap out of a can with absolutely no flavor whatsoever! I almost NEVER complain or send anything back but I had to. It was inedible! My only saving grace was the manager was sorry and refunded the cost of my pizza.

There's some live band playing and the place is full. It's Friday night. The band is playing classic rock and IMO, playing it with a little extra smooothness. The place is full of cougars and baby boomers. Nothing wrong with cougars. Cameron Diaz is a cougar. How old am I? Oh nevermind, it's my birthday. I'm feeling old. We share a table with friendly-beer-drinking-man rather than evict him as he was resting his beer there. He was "here for the band." The waitress arrives. Guinness on tap? Yes. Score. When she comes back, I give her this rap: Is this really Chicago style pizza? I mean really? Let me tell you this: I've worked at a few Chicago pizza places. I worked at Lou Malnati's alone for 4 years, so I ate it nearly every day. I know and love Chicago pizza and I miss it dearly. [blank stare] Ok... is it thick crust pizza? Is the crust like bread or is it pizza in a pan?? "Oh, it's pan pizza with a thick bread crust." Sigh. She walks away and we don't see here for a while. I think I scared her off. What the hell. Yes, a large special (sausage, onion, mushroom, green pepper and pepperoni) without the mushroom, please.... pan style. Question: what's the difference between "Original Chicago Pan" and "Pan Style." "Original has the sauce on top." Ok, that's what we'll have. Can I say that this was NOT Chicago style pizza? Well, maybe someone in Chicago makes this style of pizza. I know at least Pizza Hut does. Yes, this pan pizza was the same style as Pizza Hut's pan pizza. So, not like any Chicago style pizza that I'm familiar with and definitely not Chicago style pan pizza ala Malnati's, Uno's, Due's, Geno's, Edwardo's, etc... HOWEVER -- here's the shocker -- it was good. The cheese was tasty and plentiful and reminded me of many Chicago pizza cheeses in flavor. The sausage seemed to be homemade and had a familiar spice to it. There was NO sauce on top and barely any on bottom (maybe they forgot to put it on because they don't serve too many that way?) So, I can't really comment on sauce, it wasn't prevalent. Except for the crust, this could have passed for a decent, thin-crust Chicago pizza... in flavors alone. We saw a few thin crust "hand-tossed" pizzas go by our table. They looked, well, hand tossed. Kinda doughy with air bubbles here and there. Also not Chicago style (thin) or New York Style. This could be my favorite Florida pizza because it's NOT New York style and it's better than the brick oven stuff. But it's not really Chicago style to me. I'm on the 3.5 star side on this one. I'm stopping just short of 4 in the name of slight disappointment, no sauce on top and a slightly long wait for service. (Sorry sam a. -- let's send off for a shipment of Malnati's frozen pies!)

If there were zero stars that's what I would give this place. I have only been once, but the experience was so awful that I wouldn't dare go back. Long story short, one waiter was extremely rude, the second waiter couldn't get our order straight(there was 5 of us) and she forgot half of our food. I asked what was taking the food so long and she replied "the cooks got overwhelmed and all went out to smoke". I asked to speak with a manager she replies "there is no manager here tonight sorry". I walked out after an hour with an empty stomach.

The first two times I went here it was just to have a few beers. The vibe is very laid back and drinks are cheap. Last night we went for dinner. I definitely recommend sitting outside, because the view by the water is fantastic. Inside is kind of drab. A friend of mine spoke highly of their pizza, so we ordered the meat lovers. The medium is $16.75 and the large is $18, so we got the large and I had 3 pieces to take home for leftovers. The pizza came out pretty fast (like 15 minutes) and was really good - crispy, not too greasy and the toppings (pepperoni, ham, saugage) were really flavorful. I think it was more of a pan pizza than chicago-style deep dish but we both enjoyed it. Service was good right up until the end of our visit. We asked for a box for the pizza and another round of beers and then the waitress disappeared for like 20 minutes and never brought anything. I think she forgot about us. The bus-boy got us a box and cleaned off our table. Later the waitress came back with our beers and the check and said something about the register not being able to print. Other than the so-so service, the pizza was good, atmosphere and view out on the patio is nice, so I will be back. They have free valet outside, but make sure you're going there and not to Le Tub. Not that I have anything against Le Tub, but the people at Flicker Lite have a serious problem with people parking in their lot and then going to Le Tub. They are really paranoid about it, so you have to promise them you're going to Flicker Lite and they will watch you go in (LOL).

Horrible Service!! We have been going to the Flicker Lite since mid 70s. In the past 2 years, each time we go the service is worse then the time before. Food is decent-not great. Tonight my husband and I were there at 6:15.It wasn't busy and after waiting over 10 minutes with no one approaching our table to take drink orders we left. The valet asked what happened since it had been less than 15 minutes from the time he took our car. The valet even said, "we're not even busy!" Although I don't think any one at Flicker lite cares, We have decided we wont be going back. We use to take our northern guests there....the guests like being on the water when we go but we will find another establishment on the water that appreciates our business. Over the past few years, I feel that as long as Flicker Lite gets the tourists during the season why should they concern themselves with the locals that keep them in business when the snowbirds are gone.

This little home away from home gem is located off the water on A1A. It offers great dining on the deck/patio overlooking the intercoastal mixed with a sports bar on the inside. The reason I say home away from home is because it is a Chicago bar/restaurant and offers a lot of Chicago favorites like hot dogs and deep dish pizza. Now the deep dish pizza here is not even close to the pizza in Chicago but better than what is around here. This is a great place if you are a transplant Chicagoan like me and want some resemblance of food and atmosphere from back home. You can catch all of the hometown teams (Bulls, Cubs, Bears, Blackhawks, and those crappy White Sox) here. But on big games it gets really crowded in here so be prepared. They offer complementary valet parking and take reservations for big sporting events. Hopefully one day I can reserve a table here when the Cubs are in the World Series but then again I would most likely go back to Chicago to watch and celebrate if that happens.

How the mighty have fallen. A former main staple of Hollyweed's rustic charm and taste of Chicago' Style Pizza. The cold Appetizers along with the cold and distant service made me loose my appetite. The pizza was burnt on the bottom and cold on the top.. Poor execution on all counts.. They should really try to focus on their simple formula hire staff that cares.. a little at least..

Flicker Lite is one of those places that's been there forever. More likely than not, if you're a local, you've gone to school with one of the Capones. I don't remember the first time I ate there, but I do remember it being the starting and ending spot for many a night out. It's one of the first stops on my long list of places to eat while home on vacation, and with good reason. They make the *absolutely* best tuna steak sandwiches (followed by their mahi-mahi) and a fish dip to die for. The view from the deck is unbelievable, especially with the sun setting. The wait staff is exceptional, making sure you're never waiting for a beer, nor do the ashtrays stay full for long (a peeve of mine). Something else I love, as having been a mostly lifelong resident, is that you almost always run into someone you know.

My friends and I decided to have a movie night... and what goes better with that than ordering pizza? This is my friend's favorite pizza place, so we placed a delivery order for a Caesar salad and Chicago style large pizza (we made their lives complicated by ordering their "white pizza" in the deep dish style, except with the ricotta on only half of it, and asked them to put the sauce on top... they happily obliged but it caused a little bit of confusion over the phone). We received our order about 45 minutes later, as promised. The salad was just okay. It wasn't the best Caesar salad I've ever had, but it wasn't terrible either. The lettuce was fresh, there were a decent amount of croutons, but I guess the dressing just left something to be desired. Now, my only experience with Chicago style pizza is from Pizzeria Uno, so I'm not about to claim to be a connoisseur. That being said, I really enjoyed this pizza. While I tend to gravitate toward a thin, crunchy crust, I found this pizza to be delicious anyway, even though it was thick and softer. The dough wasn't heavy; rather, it was lighter and airier than expected, which I enjoyed. I had my reservations about this place due to my afore-mentioned penchant for thin crust, but that is no longer the case. We'll be back here, perhaps dining in next time.

I have eaten at Capone's many, many times. I love their white pizza. But, I wouldn't call it Chicago-style. I would just say that they have a great white pizza. I like the casual atmosphere of the place, and the outdoor seating is great on a cool night. I've had good seafood dishes here as well, and they have a nice selection of beers on tap. The parking is tricky, but I can usually find a space. Go there and have a white pizza and a Peroni on draught. Just don't call it Chicago-style.

If you are from Chicago, you will be disappointed. That being said, my entire experience had some good points. The setting is wonderful, as you can sit directly above the Intracoastal and watch the sunset while you eat. The beer selection is not bad and I had no problems with the service. I went there with another friend of mine from suburban Chicago, so we had to get some of our favorite foods. The stuffed mushrooms were excellent, and apparently are much more readily available in Chicago than in south Florida. I was pleasantly surprised. The Italian Beef was nothing like the many different Italian Beefs in Chicago I have tasted in my life. The signature elements were lacking, including garlic, oregano or any level of heat. That being said, it didn't taste bad, but just had a strangely sweet/soy flavor to the gravy. The pizza was severely lacking. Regardless of the fact it is being called Chicago pan pizza, it was still not good. The sauce was far too sweet and lacked any seasoning, the cheese was probably just mozzarella, and the crust was doughy. Now, holding it up to my standard of Chicago pizza, it was awful. The Pizzeria Uno frozen pizza from Publix is significantly better. Chicago prides itself on its pizza by using high-quality ingredients, thought out and executed flavors, and heart. This pizza had no point of view!

I am surprised about the complaints of food but not the service. The service staff has a huge attitude. I reminded my waiter four times about bringing me lemons for my water and he practically yelled at me that he got it and then he still forgot. I noticed he didn't use a pen but I put up with the service cause the Pizza reminds me of home (yeah I am from Chicago, yeah the sauce tastes like sugary tomato out of a can) but he dough is great and the cheese anas well and I love the sep ish the way it melts in your mouth. Its a good homesick place. I am not quite ready to give them two stars but close the staff needs to get their act together.

My fiance and I eat at this restaurant on a regular basis. It's the best mid-priced restaurant on the beach. The Sausage and Peppers are great. My gal had a caesar salad with sashimi grade tuna. The Mahi or Grouper sandwiches are also excellent. And don't miss out on the true Chicago-Style Pizza.

I'll start by saying that I'm not here to participate in the "original deep dish pizza" debate. I have only had their regular pizza, and it was great. Since the pizza makers always appear busy, I'm not the only one who feels this way. There are many weekend mornings when my husband and I wake up, and by the time we're up and at 'em, we're starved. Flicker Lite has proven to be our go-to stop for a yummy meal and great view. It reminds you why you're in South Florida. Plus, we know we'll be waiting hours less for food than at the neighboring, almost too cool for it's own good, Le Tub. Flicker Lite really reminds you how lucky you are to live in Florida. Sitting on the back porch, you can view the water, wave at the passer-bys on boats and see the marine life up close and personal. Side note: A waitress once asked a table to please not feed the fish. A minute later, she made the "shhhhh" sign and threw a half-eaten pizza into the water for the fish to devour :). First, I like this place because you can go as you are. No need to primp. Just throw on some jeans or shorts and pony-tail it (or put on a hat for the guys). The menu is pretty standard, with some South Florida stand-outs like fish dip (delicious) mahi / grouper sandwiches. All are served with cole slaw, which is amazing by my standard. Or, for a nominal fee more, you can get fries. The menu is pretty eclectic, from appetizers, a raw bar, sandwiches and pitas. I've never had something I did not enjoy. Also, I know that sliders are the new foie gras (appearing everywhere), but they are truly delicious, especially with onions and pickles. The appetizers are pretty run of the mill, but we're not exactly at Joe's Stone Crab, are we? Actually, I prefer to be at Flicker Lite! I've had almost everything on the menu, from salads to their Italian Beef Sandwich. I never regret what I order. For dinner, they have more dinner-type entrees, like steaks and fish filets. As I mentioned earlier, we usually dine outside, but sitting inside is fun, too. They have a bar with friendly bartenders, and high-top tables with individual TVs. There are darts, pool tables and a few video games. Also, they have awesome beer bucket specials, like for $12 (sometimes less). Plus, they're open super late. And the above reasons are why Flicker Lite is the spot!

As much as possible, opt for the seating outside right on the intercoastal. During the holidays, it's gorgeous, with christmas lights strung accross the dramatic length of the long patio. And that's basically what this place has going for it. I'm torn, since had it not been for the absolutely wretched service I would have been inclined to give this place a better rating. Our server, though a very nice person, was not quite all there. Us: "What beers do you have on tap?" Her: "Oh, I can never remember them all. Start listing some to me and I'll let you know if we have it." Us: "Uh... ?" Us: "Uh... how about Yuengl..." Her: "Yeah! We have it! I can't ever pronounce it right..." It was only after a few more rounds of "guess what beer we have" and after she finally takes our orders, did we realize there was an actual list with all the beers on tap, since she had brought it along with our waters, plates & napkins. Clearly she herself did not realize this fact. Though we specifically asked multiple times about the deep dish pizza, she placed the order for thin crust. She also dropped our first pizza and informed us that another had to be put in the oven, adding to our already long wait. The food (pizza, salad)is adequate. Conch fritters awful. The inside seating area smells of week-old sour tomato sauce and grease. I guess this would be a fine place for watching a game since there are something like 20+ tvs inside and out. The complimentary valet parking in their private lot is also nice. Otherwise, I'd recommend finding another venue.

I like chilling on the outdoor deck on a breezy night, drinking a cold beer and munching on some good (but average) pizza. It's good pizza, but nothing special - and DEFINITELY NOT worthy of being called 'Chicago' style pizza. The ambiance is great, the service is always friendly, fast and on point. The views and outdoor space make for a good time, and are the only reason I keep coming back here. The indoor area looks dark and gloomy in an outdated pub type of way, I would not stay if i had to eat inside. The menu extends beyond pizza to seafood, sandwiches, pastas, etc. However, each time I go there I try my luck on the pizza hoping I will get lucky and get an awesome ( or close ) Chicago pie. It has never happened. But hey, it's pizza! It can never really be that bad..... I will keep coming back, and keep trying my luck on a perfect pie with a cold beer in my hand, watching the boats ride by... I love South Florida! :)

My husband brought me here, (we are locals) Saturday night to celebrate my 50th birthday. The young women that work there were very rude. The restaurant was busy.....on our way in a party of five was walking out and their exact words, "the worst service ever". As we entered we walked up to the counter, where two young women were arguing over something and we attempted to ask them about getting a seat, and they both walked away..........finally another girl came over, and we asked her about getting a seat, she said ' WE ARE REALLY BUSY, WE HAVE NO HOSTESS.........my husband said so what do we do, wait for someone to get out of their seat and grab it, SHE SAID YES.........we turned around and walked out.......you don't want our money no problem. But you certainly need to TRAIN your staff for customer service. Personally, I will never return to that place after such horrible treatment.

Chicago style deep dish pizza was not Chicago style. Pizza just had a thick crust... Not sure the cook has actually had real Chicago style pizza. Conch fritters seemed to be missing conch. Service was slow and the restaurant was dead when we were there. Only saving grace is the restaurant is on the water.

Capone's Flicker Lite is excellent. The food and service were great. You can come by car of boat. They have ample dock space in the back. The food was wonderful and they have a nice view of the waterway. I give Capone's Flicker lite a 5 star excellent rating. By Gregg L. Friedman MD, Psychiatrist, Hallandale Beach, FL

I am giving this place 5 stars because it is a Hollywood institution and I always try and come when I am home to visit. Sitting in the back on the water is a little piece of home to me. The food is good and the drinks are reasonable. The deep dish is not half bad either. Is it as good as your going to get in Chicago? No, but its some of the best I have had in Florida.

Walked in and No Help. Took a seat along the Windows and sat for 10 min before the socalled Bartender came over! Ordered a Beer. Looked at Menu and thats where we sat for 15 min. The so-called Bartender walked out the Door with her Cell phone and she was gone. Other person behind the bar made a drink and sat down. So their we Sat. and no one even came over! This is the second time this has happened their! Walked to Bar and asked if we had to pay for our Beer since we couldnt even order! THEY LOOKED AT US LIKE WE WERE FROM MARS! As we walked out Miss Cell Phone came walking up so i let her know how much iwe liked being left sitting their waiting ! So if you are in for BAD service and a real Cr$ppy attitude go their! Its a waste of time! Seems the loud music and crappy service is Normal their! Good luck!

I went and ordered Chicken Parm and the waitress brought out veal which I don't eat. She started to raise her voice and said I did order veal and started screaming at me that I was lying and they would take it out of her pay. I said the customer is always right and why would I order veal when I would never eat veal. She slamed her fist on the table and I felt threatened so I stood up to walk out she grabbed me and pushed me sayong I had to pay for the veal which I took one bite out of and started threatening me that this woman was going to beat me up. Then the manager came over and said I had to pay for the meal. In a normal restaurant the manager would have just sent the chicken over and not taken the side of the waitress or taken it off the bill. I don't live here so I don't know how thy do it in Fl but I have never had such an appaling experience. I will never go back or suggest it to anyone. i thought the food tasted terrible and only went there to begin with bc it was late and near where I was staying. I think the waitress was drunk. The manager was rude and unprofessional. I want to report them to the better business bureau and will once my vacation is over.

What an amazing view from the patio and the food wasn't bad either. The deep dish pizza was really good and the pot stickers were surprisingly good as well. The one knock I would have on Capone's was that the sald was dressed too heavily. This was overall a good experience for me and I will be back when I am in town.

Great pizza and a broad menu. Right on the inter coastal with outdoor seating for those that want to light up a cigar or cigarette. If you are looking for pizza and beer and a relaxed atmosphere in which to meet with friends, this is perfect.

Good "Chicago-style" pizza in this sports bar in South Florida. For the first time, thanks to this place, I actually like Chicago style pizza. Domino's and whatever other places that promotes their own Chicago style pizza really cannot compare to the slightest degree. I didn't get a chance to try their other "Chicago" offerings such as the Italian beef sandwich and the Chicago-style hot dogs, but it is in my to-do list, as well as trying out one of America's famous burgers next door at Le Tub (which has a waterfront view). During the rainy Super Bowl, the entire parking lot was packed with tents, tables, and huge screen television sets for the throngs of Chicago Bears fans that were there. Chicago really loves Flicker Lite in Hollywood, FL.

I wish i could give it more stars. I've always liked coming here and eating out back on the intercoastal. Even just for a drink and some peace. It used to be a 4star for me, but the chef of a decade ago is no longer there. The seafood is very fresh and the smoked fish dip is really good. Problem: execution of pasta dishes. I ordered the angel hair and white clam sauce. I recognized the angel hair and the "steamers" on top and thats all. I'm not sure exactly what they were going for here. It wasn't clam sauce. Left me with question marks. Lol. Service was fair to good, just like I remembered it. Thats a norm in Hollywood- service can be hit or miss. Hollywood, Fla is party central. The key is dodging the loud and inappropriate crowd. No thats not snobby or elitist. Thats just a preference of quiet over action. Quiet and intimate out back- where I like to go. Party central inside the bar. The main attraction here is- once again- the view of the water. location. location. location.

I wish I could rate this place 0 stars. I have been there numerous times over the last 10 years, and it has been under steady and inexorable decline since I first started going. Not only that, but I have become convinced that positive recent reviews sound quite suspicious. The food nowadays is invariably bad, the service both slow and surly, and the management rude. The whole experience seems to have one objective in mind: to find out how poorly a customer can be treated before they give up. Come to think about it, they really have it all: bad food, bad attitude and slow service. If you want to torture yourself and your loved ones, you should really take your family there. BTW- If you are wondering how come come I have kept going after it was obviously a mistake, I gotta say- you have a point!

I love this place for the view and the food. I like the meat lover pizza regular not deep dish as the Chicago style takes too long and going with the kids they don't have the patience to wait. But the regular pizza is really good. Also enjoy the broccoli bites and the fried ravioli. But really for me what makes this place is sitting out on the deck. To be able to combine booze, good food, sports and an incredible view is the bomb.

Rolling into this place we thought we were in for good food, nice location and as the sign said, "family owned" for the last 50 years. Guess the family hasn't run it in 40 years. What a horrible ,poorly run, sad excuse for an Italian restaurant . Our server was nice ,friendly and kept making excuses for the long wait for our food from the kitchen. We ordered the chicken Marsala and the chicken franchase ,one would think, not for these amateurs. Any one familiar with cooking knows the chicken ,both dishes, are dipped in egg wash sautéed in Marsala ,butter ,lemon in the franchase etc and are sautéed in a pan and or skillet ,covered on a med flame, tenderized in their own juices . These chef boy ar dees served the chicken deep fried, deep fried ,are you kidding? When I summoned Joe the manager, he let out an, I don't want to f@&king hear it,took our plates and threw them through the kitchen door at his pathetic excuse of a kitchen staff , I've never seen that before and I am an owner of a restaurant in midtown manhattan for 17 years. The owner, Rich Capone, wake up! Your young ,immature ,childish management is destroying your families business and family name! Call restaurant impossible, bar rescue and Willie Deagle to come save your reputation. I'm sure you have become money hungry ,tourist hole cash cow making cut rate lame excuse for a Chicago Italian restaurant . Your place is HORRIBLE ! Never go there to eat! Never, unless its the last place on Earth!

First time there and probably my last. The pizza was missing a topping and was certainly nothing special. Then they wouldn't honor a clipper coupon. Guess they expect the sunset to do all the impressing.

Whenever I visit Florida, I always like to visit Capone's. The pizza is fairly good, but one menu item I find especially appetizing is the fried mozarella. Mmm. It pairs nicely with the rich, flavorful marinara sauce. The best thing about Capone's though, is the outdoor seating, near the ocean, so be sure and try to get a table there. It is really the best place to enjoy what Capone's has to offer.

I gave it another shot. I am not sure why I want this place to be good. After spending a day at the beach, a Chicago style hot dog craving came at me like a bat out of hell. Damn you Capones for screwing it up. I thought the bun was supposed to be steamed, not half frozen. You didn't give me my pickle either, and the tomato you put on it tasted like shit. You suck.

I need to preface this review by stating something that I mentioned in my review of Kelly's Pub. When I write about something on Yelp, I am rating it "for what it is." Flicker Lite is very good, for what it is. In the whole realm of food as a whole, it is not gourmet, it won't change your life, these guys are not reinventing the wheel. You won't leave here with an altered perception of what food can be. However, in the realm of cheap, casual places on the water . . . it's pretty friggin' (for future reference, can I curse on Yelp?) tasty. I've been here quite a few times. The raw bar items are always fresh, they have a sliders appetizer which is always a winner and the thin crust pizza is great. Everything is in balance. The crust is neither too cripsy, nor too limp. You're not wondering where the sauce is, but you're not eating 3 gallons of sauce with a crust n' cheese garnish. The meatballs that they offer as an optional topping are great, too. They're greasy in the good way. The way that makes you love America. Sitting outside is always cool. They have TVs out there, so you can watch sports, plus you're right on the Intracoastal. "B-b-but, but it gets so hot out." No worries, they always have some nice beer specials. The one drawback is that the service seems a little disorganized out there. The waitresses themselves are always good, but there appears to be lots of confusion. More than once, I have sat there for well over 10 minutes (I work in the biz, so this is not "Customer's Perception Time," but rather a realistic 10 minutes) without being acknowledged. Eventually, a waitress will come over and ask, "Has anyone been with you guys yet?" When we say that no one has, there is always an apology and a "What can I start you with?" From that point, there aren't any problems with service. If you want some good bar food, cheap beer (with tons of choices) and a cool place to hang out, check out the Flicker Lite.

I am not the first to state that their "Chicago Style Pan Pizza" is not the real thing. It is a decent New York pizza with extra crust turned up around the edge and served in a high-rim black pan. Bottom line: it is 1,700 miles south of Chicago in more ways than one. However, it is an honest meal for the money, and well-prepared -- even if it is light on the toppings. Our Caesar salad was excellent and authrentic (unlike the pizza) and my wife and I could split a small one. Service was swift enough in this casual but crowded waterfront establishment. Valet parking was free for diners.

Great casual place - perfect after the beach! Pizza is quite good, if it's nice, sit out on the patio overlooking the intracoastal. Little flat screen tv's at the tables inside so it's great to watch sports. Enjoy!

This is *NOT* Chicago Style pizza. I called them and specifically asked "Do you have Chicago Style Deepdish" and the somewhat rude hostess said of course they did! So in my excited and Malnatti's deprived haz, I head to the place. First, parking situation is not good. You have to pay for valet or find street parking. Tons of construction and a very busy street to cross to get back to the restaurant. We were seated outside on the Intracoastal. I have to say, the view was unreal at night. The ICW really widens out here, so it was great to see all the boats quietly go by (it was 8 pm and dark). It was almost good enough not to notice the horrible service...almost. I guess we were placed on a table that is in a "transition" zone between two waitresses. Anyway, I had to flag down the busboy to tell the waitress we were ready for our orders. I watched as he went over, and the waitress really dressed the poor guy down. That pretty much set the tone for the service the rest of the night. 10 minutes after that, they came to get our drinks and appetizer order. We had the Calamari...which arrived 20 minutes later (seriously). The squid was really chewy with big chunks of the rounds. The breading was really bland though. The sauce to dip it in (marinara) was really really good though. Anyway, we ordered our Pizza, having a spinach Chicago Style with sauce on top. When the pizza finally arrived, I went from elation to just crushing disappointment. The pizza came as normal pan pizza with just some chewy crust and extra sauce on top. No more than 1/2 an inch think. Hell, it was just normal pizza. So disappointed. All in all, it tasted good for S. Florida pizza, chewy crust with a crispy shell good sauce and all...but Chicago Style this is not! Anyway, the bill was cheap, the beer on special was good...but damn, I had my heart set on real Chicago pizza...not this fake stuff.

One of the oldest establishments in Hollywood, Capone's Flicker Lite brings the taste of Chicago with the intercoastal atmosphere of South Florida. Mainly a sports bar, Flicker Lite is home to over 30 HD televisions boradcasting sports daily. Located right on the intercoastal about a two minute walk from the beach, the bar also houses several pool tables, dart boards, a pinball machine, and loster crane machine, all options to keep family and friends entertained. The bar offers gourmet seafood, delicious garlic knots, and its famous Chicago-style deep dish pizza. About the size of a standard sedan tire, deep dish pizza at Flicker Lite includes a 2 inch layer of cheese, a cement truck of tomato sauce, and a crispy, flaky crust baked in an oven not even the sun could come close to. The sight of an oceanfront sunset with the smell of the Atlantic Ocean mist brings the taste of a restaurant like Capone's Flicker Lite a delicious South Florida commodity.

All I can say is this place rocks!! From the great service of the bartenders and wait staff, to the amazing sunset view, to the fantastic food and drink specials, to the very friendly locals, its one of the best places to check out. Order the oysters! The burgers are perfectly cooked and the "drinks to try before 2am" are delicious. Trust me, you won't be disappointed. :)

Very good pizza!!! Don't let the staff fool you; they may not look very friendly or service oriented, but the pizza makes up for it and way, way, way more!! AWESOME FLAVOR! I had the white pizza, all cheese, and added peperoni to it. Very good dough and generous cheese amounts. I am coming back 100%. Because of the staff, there is only 4 stars.

I server was very attentive, and pleasant. We ate there for a late lunch on a Sunday. We were the only table inside but the waterfront patio was packed. Fried calamari appetizer was delicious. Everyone agreed that the food was just mediocre. The fresh dolphin sandwich didn't taste fresh at all and the eggplant stack with tomato was fair at best. Might try another restaurant on the intercoastal next time...

A Chicago theme bar without Jeppson's Malort? What the what? Sure no one "likes" Malort but at least have a bottle of it just in case. You never know what some Wicker Park type will come in and want to enjoy that classic blend of pesticide and nail polish remover. The bar itself was okay. We were there early so I am sure it gets pretty fun later at night.

I can't recall waiting longer than I ever have for service. I'm here on a Sunday sitting outside, not a very busy day and I haven't had a server see me since he brought us our pizza. It's been about 25 minutes at this point. I have enough time to go into yelp, take a video, check in and write a review. Too many other good pizza places to deal with this. Ahhhhhh!

I visited this establishment on a Thursday in mid-December at approximately 7 p.m. with 4 friends. We came by boat. The location and atmosphere for this restaurant is phenomenal, right on the water, and it was really fantastic to hop off of the boat and eat. There is a very large indoor part with A/C and a long dock outside. The views of the bay and intracoastal are beautiful and it's definitely a wonderful place to see the sunset. I am sorry to say that the service and food were less than wonderful. The night that we visited, there were only a few other patrons in the restaurant. but it took almost 30 minutes for our food to come out. Most disappointingly, approximately 25 minutes after taking our order, our server came out and told my friend that they were out of what she ordered. It seems like the server and or kitchen staff could have figured this out 20 minutes ago. What exactly was the kitchen staff doing all this time that it took them 25 minutes to realize they were out of something? Five minutes later, another friend's pizza came out and it was on the table for about 10 minutes before the rest of the food came out. This seems like very poor planning for such a slow night in the kitchen. Four of us had to salivate over the pizza while we waited for our food. I ordered the jerk chicken wings and sweet potato fries with marshmallow dip. The marshmallow dip was a nice touch and it was very delicious, however the fries were cold and there is nothing worse than cold fries so I sent them back. It was obvious that they simply reheated them and they were mediocre when I finally ate them, which is a shame because sweet potato fries and marshmallow cream should be amazing!!!! The jerk chicken wings were okay. As if the quality of the service, and the food, was not enough, here is the real kicker to our night. While our waitress, Kristy Lee, was taking our order, she took out some kind of lip product and applied it. I had assumed it was just lip gloss, and thought it was quite tacky to do while taking orders. However, she then told us that it was medication for her cold sore! When she said that, my friend and I just looked at each other. When she walked away the whole table was dumbfounded and we started to discuss cold sores. One of my friends said that if you have a cold sore that means that you have herpes and my reply was "so basically our waitress just told us that she has herpes"? I don't know if that's true about herpes, but obviously this is extremely unprofessional behavior for a server. Even if it was just lip gloss, she should have done that in the bathroom, and she should never mention to her customers that she has a cold sore. I certainly wouldn't have noticed on my own, I wasn't looking at her mouth closely, I was looking at the sweet potato fries and marshmallow cream on the menu! Kristy Lee seems to be the kind of person that just says whatever is on her mind. She also made a crack about being fat (she may have indulged in some chicken wings on her breaks, it's true) which made some of us laugh and some of us a bit uncomfortable. I love Hollywood Beach and the cool vibe there, and really enjoy the outdoor restaurants, so I'd be willing to give Capone's another try. However, my advice to the management, you may want to figure out a way to get the customers table side chat to be about your phenomenal view and delicious food, instead of discussing whether or not their server has a disease or not.

So being a south florida native I feel like it says a lot that I have literally been eating here since I was a child . Great for Sundays with dad because its right on the water and has its own place to dock yr boat. Literally awesome location right across the beach . Seafood is always awesome and fresh. I personally recommend the conch fritters yum . Tons on ppl go here for the pizza which is also amazing .. Have to get the delicious garlic bread with it ! Bartenders are amazing an drinks are always strong . He only thing I dislike is the parking is a pain.

I used to travel every other week on business all around the country. I would leave on Sunday afternoons and get back the following Friday evening. Sometimes I would arrive at a reasonable time, but not always. For those 11pm-2am arrivals, CFL was always there for me. Great food, even late at night. The staff is always friendly. Seat yourself. Inside can get a bit noisy outside is subject to weather conditions, flying fish, birds, and smokers. (so if you're a smoker, this is for you)... a little while ago someone drove through the wall and smashed the whole front of the store. There had been ongoing construction for a while, but now and the place looks fantastic . Its looking better than ever. There is a wide selection of pizza, pasta, and other dinners. There are great salads and the fish is phenomenal. I've had every fish they offer as a meal or sandwich and always good.

We came here on a Saturday afternoon around 1:00pm and it was eerily dead. Especially on a gorgeous South Florida day. We sat on the pier, and although the view was gorgeous, the seats were a tad uncomfortable. The service was okay, nothing to rave or complain about. As far as the food goes, I ordered a burger (how bad can a restaurant mess that up?) and it was okay but the other people in my party did not enjoy their food. My friends sweet potato fries were doused in grease and the presentation was below average. Capone's is what it is, don't expect high quality service or food - it was an average experience, a tad bit unmemorable. I would not completely X it out but I would not go out of my way to come here. Maybe if I come back I will try their pizza, I heard it was good.

I would have went 4 stars but due to such sloooowww service I'm going with 3. :( Pretty basic menu. We came via boat. Hmmm... FIX YOUR BOAT DOCK!!! Omg it's an accident waiting to happen!!!!! Pizza. I wanted half Mexican half meat lovers. Nope. Not allowed. So I let my S/O get the meat and I got extra cheese with anchovies. 45 mins... No pizza. 60 mins finally .. So we got it to go. I had a Bloody Mary it was OK. Pizza. Yeah it was very good. Although no extra cheese as ordered :( Maryland Shrimp was amazzzzzzing omg

Been coming here for over 5 years and it`s a great experience every time. The service is always great and the drinks are even better. They offer a wide range of food (low cal -pizza). So, if you're looking for a place to go out and don't want to ruin your New Year`s resolution diet, there's no need. They serve the full menu all night. After dark you can choose the tone of your experience by where you sit. Inside can get a bit noisy. There are televisions and pool tables. I've also found that the tables in the front get a bit rowdy late nights. The dock is usually quiet and chill. You can't really see the water at night, but it is peaceful. For a place that feels like your favorite whole in the wall bar, an added bonus is that the bathrooms are really clean. (That's where extra star comes in).

This was my second time at Flicker Lite, My first experience was decent, but my second and most recent experience was horrible. Upon being seated, the server "Dina" made us fee unwelcome with a few snide and sarcastic remarks she shot some of our friends. According to words-music-and-dance, body language is the most important part of interpersonal communication and it was clear to us that she did not want to be there, and even more clear that she did not want to help us. When the food came it was of decent quality and pricing but defiantly nothing special. Dina managed to make us feel completely unwelcome and while it did not ruin our night it definitely put a damper on things.

Came in last night. This place is so dysfunctional it's hard to describe. Walked in and 3 employees were bad mouthing and laughing at a guest on the phone. Sat for about10 min for a beer and there were only 3 people at the bar. After looking at the menu I was instructed by the bartender that I shouldn't order a pizza because the guy making the pizza tonight "sucked" her words. Seemed like the employees were either drunk or high. I would pass on this place.

filthy, stinky, untrained staff. Anybody can wait tables here. No training. food would be OK if it were consistent.

Food is a bit above average. Large menu, featuring pizza. Let's call the inside seating a sports bar. Service tends to the friendly side. You can do a whole lot worse in Hollywood.

This is the first restaurant that I've been to in my entire life that had absolutely zero healthy options. Not that this was a huge deal for me, but if you're looking for something light, like a garden salad, you should definitely seek a different dining establishment. I ordered the turkey burger with sweet potato fries and it was by no means tasty. To be completely honest, I only ate it because I was pretty hungry. However, no amount of hunger could have driven me to eat the sweet potato fries. The food was just not very good. I can't describe the amount of grease that was on my plate. The bread the turkey burger was on- greasy. The sweet potato fries- greasy. The turkey burger was covered in melted cheese and topped with too much of some strange vinegar sauce. Oh, and greasy. My pores after my attempt at eating this food to alleviate my hunger- greasy, greasy, greasy! What happened to turkey burgers being the lean and non-greasy counterpart of the traditional hamburger? Not here, my friends. Not here. The service was mediocre at best. I probably would have been less harsh with my review if this place presented itself as more of a bar, but if you have the word restaurant in your name, there's a minimum standard that you should have to meet and I do not believe that this place meets it.

I had gone to Capone's with my friends three times now. I give 2 stars for the decent food, but my complaint lies with the service. The first 2 times we went, the service wasn't great, but it was okay. The food was good enough that we wanted to make this place a regular spot for us. When I mean food, I specifically mean the Chicago-Style deep dish pizza, and the fried mozzarella. I've had a few other appetizers like the buffalo shrimp (they were okay), and the fried calamari (worst calamari I've had so far). Our third visit to the joint is what ruined our experience. We went on Halloween night, and a worker told us we can sit where we chose (away from the crowd). 20 minutes passed and the worker noticed nobody attended to us so he dropped off menus and said someone will be coming by soon. He left right after dropping off the menu. We were ready to order after looking at the menu for 5 minutes, but then another 20 minutes passed, and nobody came. I went up to the lady working the bar and said nobody's been to our table yet. She said "oh okay." Then, she attended to the people that came a good 10 minutes AFTER us. That was the last straw. My friends and I got up, left the menus on the table, and went out the door. This is the last time we come here. Edit: I also forgot to mention the quality of the food dropped just by the second visit.

Capone's is a good place for pizza and beer and it is open very late. It is a good hang out for people who get off of work late. There is pool, darts, and outdoor seating. Lunch service was kind of a mess...the waitress had to be asked for everything from settings to salt and pepper...she just absolutely did not anticipate any of our needs. The ribeyes came out overcooked. Broccoli was bland. The potato was tiny. The fried mozzarella, which I used to love, was overfried, yet not hot enough inside. It took forever to get the check. But, as I said before...for late night pizza, beer, and fun, this is a good place.

Pizza and service were just okay. It was nice to sit outside on the water though! I've heard that their Italian food is really good, but we had a taste for pizza. Next time, we'll skip the pizza and try some pasta. Avoid the women's bathroom if you can--it's pretty nasty!

Love this spot. It's not swanky, don't expect wine and dine. Expect a local bar and grill spot with great wings and pizza. Sit outside during the day to view the boats. Makes me want to get a boat. :) great vibes and chill staff.

I would love to review this place but since we walked in and sat ourselves and were never acknowledged its kinda hard. It's not like the place was busy. They didn't even seem understaffed, judging by the four employees cutting up at the cash register. I would have even been happy to go to the bar to get my drinks but I never saw a bartender either. We were looking forward to finding a place to watch football on the weekends but this isn't going to be it.

So I wanted to try this place because they have chicago style pizza. It is not chicago style. Chicago style has more of a biscuit crust where here they just roll the pizza dough up the side of the pan. The pizza itself was very bland. Their sauce needed salt. I actually had to put salt on my pizza. Also the pizza was very watery. It was just sitting in a pool of water after I took the first slice. To me it was like a local home grown Domino's Also we got the fried Mozzeralla. It seemed like it was burnt when they brought it us. It was ok, but that is really an indication that their fryer oil needs changed. I also noticed one of the servers who kept pulling up his pants but never washed his hands.

This is a real Jeckyl and Hyde place. You go in one time and the food is great. Come back a month later and its horrible. The only thing consistant is the service which always sucks. This is a last resort place when everywhere else is too crowded. My last experience there was the last straw. Food was inedible and our server was incompetent and really dirty looking.

I can't believe how bad this place is managed. First bears game of the year and the place was severely understaffed. Waited for over 30 minutes before someone took our order. And the pizza wasn't even worth it. Service was horrible all the way around. Won't be back.

Walked in a greeted right away and seated, waited about 4 minutes for our waitress to ask for drinks. Ordered the medium Chicago style original with sauce on the bottom. Area inside was kind of dark, the manager had all the blinds down. It was a cold day so I guess I understand. Restaurant was clean and tidy, did have an odd smell but not something worth crying over. Pizza took about 20 minutes due to it being deep dish. Came out hot, cheesy, and crisp and fluffy! So amazing! Definitely Chicago style. Would definitely return!

The setting is old Florida - an aged, pier like setting right on the water And that is were it should stop. Unfortunately this place serves food. If you want to eat here you have to be under 25, enjoy lots of beer and have a big appetite. Atmosphere 80 Run down, but it is old Florida Service 75 They tried, they really tried Food 60 Let the grade suffice Value 65 Believe me it was all about the setting You really need a few drinks to appreciate the place. That being said and done it is Hollywood and I simply can not image anyone traveling into the area to have lunch or dinner. Albeit, other then the Marriott, I would say Capone's is typical. If you must, pizza and beer are probably your best bet.

The good. This place makes fantastic Chicago pizza! The best. The bad. It smells like a toilet when you walk in. The place is "methy". Truck stops have cleaner bathrooms. The menu reads like an phone book. It a pizza joint man!

Ate here tonight. Beautiful sunset outside seating. The food was Ok and the service was mediocre. Watched a pizza eating customer at the bar unscrew the cheese shaker and scoop out the cheese with his fingers. Also did the same thing with the red pepper shaker. Restrooms were dirty with no toilet paper.

Went here for a bears game when we were on vacation. Game was on every TV. Loud fun crowd. Food was really solid, had fish tacos, they were really fresh. They have an incredible outdoor patio. Basically a dock on the water, Beautiful. Our service was great, waiter was attentive, even though they were really busy. He was very nice and accommodating to our requests, he definitely made our experience better. Overall a nice little sports bar with a Beautiful date night worthy patio.

Good Food, Really Bad Service. If you are a server, the most important part of job is to get the customers order right, you get a better tip, the business gets a better reputation, more clients come into the restaurant, you serve more customers and in the end you make more money. Let's go over that again.....Get the customers order correct, take the extra second and write it down, your not impressing anyone by trying to memorize an order for 6 people and then get 1/2 the order completely wrong. The Goal here is to make Money ! Three visits in a row, three different servers. An upset 20 yr. Customer.

We came here in 2001 and it was a pretty good experience, good food and had great memories. Went there again with my wife, daughter and her friend. The place is a total dive, and not in the good triple D reference. Smelled bad when we walked in. Sat outside, the tables are crappy, chair are flemzy plastic. My wife and I could not both sit on the same side with both of our feet under the table. While there 3 people, I assumed customers wearing swim suites, drove off of the patio into the water. The 2nd one purposely took her top off and showed everyone her breast. My daughter and her friend wanted to leave before we ordered. I decided to stay, this is a famous place. Anyway we ordered 2 apps, both were pretty good and that was the best part of the meal. They seemed homemade and hand battered. The Pizza was not good. Below average!! The parm cheese shaker looked like it had discolored stuff in it and tasted old. Very disappointed, could be a great place. It needs a major cleaning and spiff up.

I'll give this place a 4.... because it sometimes I go and it's a 5... and sometimes I go and it's a 3. When they're making the deep dish pizzas right and the sauce is good... the food at Capone's is amazing. They make a really really good deep dish pizza when they're on their game. Many years ago it was always great. Then it started to be more hit and miss... some days the pizza was great, others it was "eh." I would recommend going and trying it though. It's nice to sit out on the deck and watch the boats go by on the intracoastal.

Food isn't conaistent and the staff can be a bit nuts, but the dock is beautiful. One or two servers are nice. The drinks are well made and the menu has great variety. Stuffed shells, Penne Ala Vodka, and pizza are good.

The place is a bit run down and the bathrooms are old. That said, the pizza is great. A lot of beers on tap at great prices. Salads are always fresh and their Italian beef sandwich is awesome. Service is usually excellent. Their dockside dinning is great with amazing views in the evenings before the sun goes down. Great family place with huge tables. Full liquor bar with daily happy hour $3.50 well drinks and beer specials everyday all day. Love this place.

I never tried deep dish Chicago style pizza so my husband found this place, no where near our home but it was worth the trip. Waitress was very nice and helpful. Pizza and French fries were delicious. They had a whole menu but we stuck to pizza. It's bar setting with pool table basketball shooting game and other similar machines. You could sit out by the water but we opted for Aircondition. We would defenitly go back!

Patron Beware! Okay so, I've been both going and ordering delivery here for years. And when I say years I mean +6. I've ordered delivery more then I've eaten there. Whenever I did go to Capone's it was either because it was super late night and or because friends majority ruled. It's pretty run down, it's on the water but to someone who lives year round here on the beach in South Florida, it's no big deal. Some of the employees probably shouldn't be working there or anywhere for the matter, which leads me to why I WILL NEVER EVER order from this place again in my life. I've lived in a highrise on Hollywood Beach for years. Everyone knows about Capone's and orders due to an extensive menu (some things cooked way better then others - don't order the Buffalo Shrimp, better off with Pizza) and mere convenience of where it's located. My boyfriend orders the same thing, the same way, every time for 5 years now and it never ever (except once) came to our door correctly. He gets a bacon burger with american cheese and asks for the fries to be done EXTRA CRISPY. Not a rocket science project. The reason we order the fries that way is so they don't come like how they did the other night as soggy mush potatoes. I tell them all the time by the time it gets to the house the condensation soaks the fries and makes them gross. So please do it crispy. ONE FREAKIN TIME they got this request correct, ONCE out of 50+ or so orders over the years. It's ridiculous. Recently, he ordered the usual and it came with fries so wet when I picked it up it limped so bad it broke in half. No fries for me or him. His burger had no bacon on it but the receipt reflected the bacon and the charge. I called as soon as I saw the food and was told by some chick with an attitude "so what do you want me to do?" Really? I asked to speak to the manager, she puts me on hold for like 10 minutes and then a guy picks up. I tell him my concerns, that I've spoken to a manager in the past for another messed up order and was told I'd get a desert, how rude the girl who picked up was, and why the cook cant seem to comprehend EXTRA CRISPY, after my entire rant you know what he tells me...? I'm not the manager I'm the delivery driver who delivered your food. WTF. Are you kidding me? I asked him what he had to do with the preparation of my food. If he had been back in the kitchen cooking it. He replied he hadn't so I asked him why he was given the phone to speak to me. He tells me the manager won't take calls and gives him to customers that are unsatisfied. I demanded the manager come to the phone, the driver comes back and tells me...he doesn't want to talk to customers and told me to handle it. IT WILL BE A COLD DAY IN HELL BEFORE I EVER IN MY LIFE EAT AT THIS ESTABLISHMENT AGAIN. The employees suck (not talking about the driver who had nothing to do with it and agreed very much with what I was saying), a few of the waitresses look/sound like they're on pills, and the management is horrible. Never again.

My friend that I haven't seen in awhile suggested for us to meet at this place since it's just down the street from me. It's a casual place & the food was decent. I had the eggplant lunch special. I would eat there again.
