Molina’s Ranch Restaurant Menu

Sorry, We are updating this restaurant menu details.

I'll attempt to explain why I'm giving Molina Ranch two stars and my waiter a 15% tip. Yes, I can be harsh to a Hialeah restaurant! Like most folks in the Republic of Hialeah, I heard about how this place is better than the better known Cuban spots and our abuelas' kitchens. Based on my experience this afternoon, I have to disagree. For starters, I was served only two rolls (not even Cuban bread, so minus one for authenticity.) Most Cuban restaurants' baby Churrasco is large enough to not have me hungry two hours later. Yet, although my baby churrasco was tasty and the chimichurri had a nice kick to it, "tengo hambre" as I'm writing this. The sweet plantains were ripe and sweet, and the moros were a little on the dry side and small on the portion. Even the creme Brulee was unspectacular, as the crust wasn't crispy how I like it. The kicker, and what ensured my low rating, was that my waiter didn't come around to ask about the good until the end. Sorry Rancho Molina, vete pa'ya!

It's a nice little Cuban restaurant in Hialeah that serves the typical Cuban food. Just letting you know, it's freezing in there, so bring a jacket! I had chicken with white rice. My typical Cuban meal! The service is fast and they never disappoint.

Best croquetas I've had in my life are made at Molinas. I go out of my way to go there just for the croquetas. The rest of the food and the service are lackluster.

At one point, Molina's was thee Cuban restaurant. The lines outside would be as long as the food was delicious. The restaurant would almost burst at the seems on the weekends. The space was small and you might be uncomfortably close to the table next to you. All that didn't matter 'cause you knew that you would be getting great Cuban food, exceptional service and at a fair price. And then they built themselves a huge new restaurant across the street And it has been mediocre ever since The food has seemed to have lost its soul. The old kitchen must have had some built in flavor enhancer that only comes from thousand of bistecs and onions and platanos and not being cleaned 100%. Like one of those old skillets that's half magic The price has gone up The service seems disinterested. What happened to the guys in bow ties??? Nothing last forever Shame

Great spot for Cuban food ! Best Moros in Miami ! Always consistent with the great tasting food. One of my go to restaurants when I am craving quality Cuban food.

Such a staple in the Cuban community. This place is all class. From the moment you park your car, you know this is going to quench your Cuban food thirst. The smell of masitas de puerco in the air legitimizes everything. They have great daily specials, great pricing, waiters are always dressed in their white long sleeve shirts, black vest, and bow ties. Wonderful, friendly service always keeping everything nice and clean around the table. The food is perfect. I felt like my grandmother was making the morro in the kitchen. None of that fake chocolate syrup rice either, it's the real deal morro. The sweet plantains are not the frozen kind, these guys are pealing and slicing them fresh. Feels comforting when I eat authentic Cuban food I grew up on and this place always gets it done right.

This is the best place for real great Cuban food, the rice, Marquita's , the chicken in lobster sauce, YUMM!!, I miss the location next to my old house, but I always make the drive to this one and everyone should also. It's worth it!

I saw Molina's Ranch Restaurant reviewed on "Check Please South Florida". Being fan of Cuban Food I meet my wife and her family for lunch. My wife comes from a Cuban family so there was some experienced critics with me. When talking about " who has the best Cuban food in Miami" is a talk that can break out in a street fight down here. It's serious business to some people. So three Cuban ladies and a gringo walk into a Cuban restaurant in Hialeah......... This is really a nice place! It's super clean and welcoming. Tv's on the wall playing the news and ESPN. I found it odd that they were playing 80's music inside. Every Latin food joint in Miami always playing salsa or other regional music on the radio. We where seated and brought water and fresh Cuban rolls right away. We ordered mariquetas for the table and placed our orders. The Marigueta's were crisp and where on point. I always get the fried chicken chunks and morros when I go to new Cuban place. My wife and her family ordered soup and Steak sandwiches. The chicken was juicy and cooked properly. It was pretty solid taste wise and was hot. It was good but not the best I've had. The Morros had pork and pork cracklings and could go "toe to toe" whith some of the best places Miami. It was good stuff!! I get tostones instead of plantains. I tostones were cold and bland. My mother in law had the White Bean Soup. She said it lacked seasoning. The steak sandwiches were big and meaty. My wife's steak was cold and the steak Had no seasoning. The soup and sandwiches didn't wow anyone. This place is a solid three stars. It might be the best in Hialeah. My reigning champ of " Best Cuban Food" is Little Havana in North Miami. Molina's does have the tools to be the best. The service was great and attentive. The seasoning was just bland on some of there dishes. When I am in Hialeah working I will stop here for lunch and try their Cuban sandwich.

Whenever I'm in the mood to eat congrís and chicharrones, THIS IS THE PLACE TO GO TO!!! Good Cuban food, great atmosphere, the staff is nice, and fast service too! Place has big TV's too, in case there's a big game going on! Highly recommend :)

  • Trey H.

The lechon asada was fantastic - not too greasy but cooked perfectly. The rice was plentiful and more than enough for two sittings. I gave three stars because when the waitress saw we were American and didn't speak Spanish, her attitude became snotty as if she was dismissing us as customers. Maybe a bad day on her part, but very unprofessional nonetheless. I would recommend the food anytime, definitely willing to try it again.

I come here every Saturday. The staff is amazing and they treat you like family. If you can get a table with Pedro, Jasmin or Dinorah, you will be well taken care of!

    (5)
  • Sarah G.

Expensive prices especially compared to all of the other Cuban restaurants in Miami, but the dishes are big enough for two. I was definitely impressed with our orders of ropa vieja and vaca frita. Can't wait to try other dishes.

This to me is one of the most understated gems of Cuban cuisine in South Florida. Though maybe not as popular as La Carreta or other places, the Cuban food here is perfection. Whether it's a simple standard like un bistec de palomilla (Cuban steak) or something a bit more elaborate, like "Cordero contramaestre" I've never had a dish that's less than great--if not usually excellent, and I've been here A LOT with my parents. So we've gotten to try a lot of their menu items. Desserts are also a treat, my favorites being the regular flan and the mamey flan.

While I would love to give them 5 stars....I can't; service is good, Moros are great, service is fast and abundant food. However, the food is average. The main issues is that the "rabo encendido" was awfully salty.

    (3)
  • Albert G.

Rabo encedido, croquetas, real authentic Cuban food, as good as it gets!

    (5)
  • John L.

The food is simply average , just as another Cuban restaurant in Miami or Hialeah, the service is kind of slow and bad, most of the waiters are men with grumpy face, you have to be waiting and calling them for water, to do a request for something else, etc, etc. Some of them are even texting or talking between them not paying attention to the customer needs.

    (3)
  • Al N.

Excellent food! Taste great..fast friendly..great Cuban food and coffee..will come back again

  • Laura A.

Love this place. My fav dishes are the palomilla, the troncos de pescado, the ropa vieja, and the vaca frita. The vaca frita at Molina's is the best one I ever tried - unlike La Carreta who's always burning my vaca frita, even when I say not to have well done. The moros are great, plantains well cooked (some places leave them half uncooked which is not very appetizing on my part), i really love this place. ALSO, cleanest bathrooms on any restaurant in Miami - at least the ladies' one.

Nice place in Hialeah if you're in the mood for Cuban food. Family oriented & you can't go wrong with their colada's.

They take Cuban food and really step it up to cuisine. The food choices are typical of Cuban food, but very lovingly prepared when compared to the common dreary "cafeteria" food so prevalent throughout Miami. They even serve natilla! This dessert is a childhood favorite of mine, which is basically a smooth and rich custard made from fresh eggs and milk. Extremely attentive wait staff and service. An example of how responsive they are is my sister dropped her knife and before she was able to pick it up the busboy had a new one ready for her. Very friendly environment and a landmark spot I was surprised I'd never been to before. Menu is available in English for those who might feel intimidated about ordering in Hialeah. I would definitely recommend!

New items on the menu! Molina's is my go to Cuban restaurant, I enjoy eating here, the place is clean and everyone is always attentive of the guest. I always get my typical, Congri, Lechon Asado, Fufu, and Jupina! Everything was delicious and the prices are reasonable.

  • Jorge Daniel M.

Delicious food. The waiters and the people here are really nice. I ordered breaded chicken and it was delicious. I loved it. They give you freshly baked bread that is really good with butter. Order the avocado plate, is really good.

We were in the mood for Cuban food so, we turned to Yelp. Found this place had a bunch of good reviews and 4 stars. Still wondering how they got those stars. First we were seated by a young man that waved us down from far away holding up fingers, very rude and he was very out of place. I ordered picadillo it was not good. Basically they took found beef dumped a butt load of cumin and tomato sauce and served it. And the service, well let's just say I felt like we were bothering the waiter with our presence. Not going back.

Great place when craving Cuban food. Everything that I have eaten here is good. Place is clean as expected. The only problem is that the service is not good. Waiters are extremely lazy and most of the time are standing watching TV.

One of my favorite Cuban restaurants. Definitely one of the best in Miami and Hialeah. Great prices and great food. Has a great location and everything is always clean. Way better than other overpriced Cuban restaurants by the beach. Highly recommended.

  • Zunnette B.

Best cuban food I have had, better than Versailles and La carreta! Great hidden gem in Hialeah. Service was great and food exceptional! Just amazing, and this is coming from a Cuban American who was born and raised in Miami, the food here is the best cuban food hands down! Great place!

  • Christopher M.

My usual spot to dine on my way from Miami International Airport to home was a small family resturaunt on 4th called Astoria closed. The owner recommended I try Molina's since he was closing. He was right. The food is tradional Cuban and good. It is located on my way and the food taste great. On my second stop there I had the daily special of Lechon Asado, moros and maduros all for $8.99, perfect meal at the perfect price. Since I am an American and the waitress thought I spoke no Spanish she was not happy to wait on me. As soon as I spoke enough Spanish to order she completely changed her attitude towards me making me feel more welcome. This is why i rated only 4 stars.

Very good food, courteous service and great ambiance. The portions are not the biggest in hialeah but then again, you get what you pay for. Loved the Milanesa de pollo. Glad I came.

  • Jasmin M.

The food here is very good. I had the tamal en cazuela which was delicious. My husband had the vaca Frita with Moro and tostones. Delicious!!! If you are in the neighborhood definitely give them a shot.

Gone are the days where you would have to wait outside in this redesigned typical Hialeah house for a dinner table. The food was great and everyone wanted in on any given night! Now it has upgraded to across the street in a bigger location. The place is more presentable then the previous and things are well put. What has fallen has been the quality of the dishes. Some things are still good(el cordero de dios) however ordering a caldo gallego was once delicious now it's a watered down blend. This tends to be the case for other dishes on the menu. Simply put, the foods just not made with love anymore I suppose lol. With all that in mind. I can turn my head and still call this place my go to spot for a quick Cuban dinner. Reason being there aren't enough restaurants to compete with molinas for the atmosphere/food ratio you get in Hialeah(at least on the east side of things$

Been here twice on my lunch break. The first time, I ordered fish and it was so mediocre that I can't remember any details about it. The second time, I wasn't feeling well and simply ordered soup. I dined in this time and when my soup arrived it was room temperature. I tasted it and my blood pressure instantly shot up to dangerous levels! Lol! That soup was SOOOOO salty. The waitress was super nice though. I didn't want to send it back so I played with is until I was ready to leave. I have definitely had better Cuban food living in Miami my entire life. I though it was not worth another visit so I'll pass on returning.

The Food: I ordered the #1 on the Meats Section. This includes roast pork, moros and your choice of either yuca or maduros, I ordered both. I say it time and time again, "You want to judge or review a Cuban Restaurant? Try their pork." So that's exactly what I did. How do you mess-up a perfectly roasted dead pig? Well, come here and find out. SO much salt was used that it became unbearable. Soon after the first bite, even the water tasted like your pork. Which reminds me, customers should not have to ask their server for a refill on water no matter where it is one is dining. I like to be fair, the dead pig itself was roasted just right and tender. The maduros weren't burnt and the yuca, despite the overpowering taste of the pig was clearly under seasoned. Best part of my dining experience were your Chicharrones (Pork Rinds.) They are made there and added to your moros. They are so good I ordered a small order to-go. Another plus, they don't add the black dye to their moros here. Customer Service here needs major improvement with this being my second visit here (read previous review for breakfast last week.) Will I be returning here? Absolutely not unless I happen to be in the area for Chicharrones. You are overpriced and food is way too salty. This includes your moros. Now, if you read this review and you like the feeling of your arteries clogging with every bite, then yes, by all means come here. My lips are still tingling and I got home over an hour ago. For those that don't know, Cuban Food is not supposed to be spicy.

    (1)
  • Daniel R.

The food here is delicious! Can't go wrong with Mariquitas for an appetizer. Whatever you decide to get for an entree, make sure you get the Moro on the side, best Moro in Miami for sure! Quick service too, good for going during an hour lunch break, usually in and out in less than 45 mins.

I love Molina's. I try to eat here every time I come back to Miami. The food is like good home cooking. It's never been too salty, just the right seasoning, and I always love the chicharrones they throw on top of the congri. This place is solid Cuban food.

    (4)
  • Richard S.

Always enjoy this spot for lunch while in Miami for business. Great food at a fair price. Last time I enjoyed the skirt stake , time before had the roasted pork. You will not leave Molinas hungry . Staff was nice to me as I tried my broken Spanish.

As far a Cuban food this is my favorite place So far even though I've only eaten here once. Very professional staff but the food was amazing I went for lunch and ordered Lechon asado roasted pork with rice and beans and plantains the rice and beans are amazing and have bits of chicharrones in the rice but the pork not stands by itself soo flavorful. Gotta say that it was one of the best lunches I have ever had in a while. Very new clean place and the service I great. I had the flan and coffee after the meal both excellent. This place is a no brainer also try the shrimp creole looked amazing with dirty rice

This Yelp review has been long over do, If you are ever in Florida and want to experience authentic Cuban food and service, you have to go to Molina's in Hialeah. Eating at Molina's is like going to mom's or grandmas house and having a meal. Each bite takes me back to childhood and each bite is more comforting than any mac and cheese could ever be. EVERYTHING on the menu is scrumptious but I will start off with my favorite dish The Picadillo. Their picadillo is perfectly seasoned. Ay! the salsita that this glorious minced meat is swimming in is good enough to have by itself with a soft hot piece of one of their Cuban rolls, have the picadillo with white rice, black beans and platanitos maduros and you've just made your day. Also, their prices are very affordable. I ordered take out the other night and I spent under 10 dollars for my meal, I even had leftovers that I shared the next day. I would suggest the mariquitas for the appetizer and don't be shy to drench them in mojito sauce. For dessert I would suggest the classic Flan, it is smooth and just sweet enough to hit the spot. Molina's also carries the best Cuban sandwhiches, Media Noches and croqueta preparada. Please run don't walk to Molina's, I will personally take you myself everyone should experience Molina's at least once in their lifetime.

One of my favorite Cuban restaurants. Definitely one of the best in Miami and Hialeah. Great prices and great food. Has a great location and everything is always clean. Way better than other overpriced Cuban restaurants by the beach. Highly recommended.

Best cuban food I have had, better than Versailles and La carreta! Great hidden gem in Hialeah. Service was great and food exceptional! Just amazing, and this is coming from a Cuban American who was born and raised in Miami, the food here is the best cuban food hands down! Great place!

Rabo encedido, croquetas, real authentic Cuban food, as good as it gets!

The food here is very good. I had the tamal en cazuela which was delicious. My husband had the vaca Frita with Moro and tostones. Delicious!!! If you are in the neighborhood definitely give them a shot.
