Man, was I hungry. And it was late so was happy to find Denny's open. Had a really sweet waitress dressed as a reindeer so I thought she was Rudolph but she said, "nope; Vixen!" That was over-reaching a bit but a sweet gal and a very good and efficient waitress. The food was nothing short of tasty too. I also had a pumpkin flavored coffee which was pretty good. Worth a stop.

The service here today was really horrible the worst ever I didn't want to eat the food after the second time that I ask for another order of the chicken tenders

The food just wasn't up to par with the Denny's I've had before at other locations. They forgot to put avocado and cheese on the "avocado" chicken sandwich... We asked the waiter to bring up avocado and brings us the most sloppily cut slivers of avocado on this plate. The whole thing was just really unappealing. The waiter kept forgetting everything we asked for.. If you can't remember things..write it down. It's annoying to keep having to repeat yourself. It was no busy whatsoever we were his only table so there was no reason for it really. Ditch the ice coffee as well it's expensive and not good. If I went here again I would stick with the breakfast food and not order off the lunch menu.

One word: Gross!! There were flies all over the back wall we were sitting at and the food was sub-par. Who messes up hash browns?

The Hallandale Beach Denny's location is the ugliest Denny's probably anywhere, and it does not give the impression of being clean because of very ugly decor that creates a brown, dingy environment. That is because the franchise owner for that location is obviously a jerk and has been for a long time. It took them years- many years- to finally redecorate, and they did an absolutely terrible job at it. I don't know why Denny's corporate puts up with that. I think that IHop forces franchise owners to update their locations regularly, but the Hallandale Denny's was dirty and ugly for years before only getting slight improvements that only created another kind of ugly. You are also going to encounter problems with that one and any other Denny's as per some of the reviews here, but I have found that any poor service or poorly made orders have been well attended to by management. They have a good crew now at the Hallandale Denny's, and the menu items have vastly improved. For your money, the food is very good, and when mistakes are made, they are responsive even after the fact (send an email or give them a call). I have been consistently satisfied with whatever I have ordered over the last couple of years or so (including a couple of times when I've sent something back and it was replaced). Denny's has a deserved reputation of being an impersonal, corporate, processed food chain restaurant with poor to average quality. Recently, however, they've done a bang-up job of improving all the menu items, from soups (some are really excellent) to entrees. Like most of the United States, the employees are members of the working poor who have seen benefits cut or eliminated and income stagnate, but they have become quite professional at the Hallandale Denny's because of reasonable and nice shift managers despite the lousy Hallandale franchise owner and the bad decor. For value and for a good meal, recommended. Perhaps one day soon they'll redecorate again and make the place look more cheerful.

I'm a frequent customer at Denny's no matter where I go. This location is close to home and the atmosphere is laid back. Whenever I dine there, the server is friendly and he/she makes sure I have whatever I need. Their strawberry banana bliss smoothie is delicious, and my regular order of French toast slam is always made the way I like it. Bread cooked w/a light buttery cinnamon taste, w/a dash of powdered sugar. I like that scoop of butter that they like to place on top of the French toast on the side. Eggs scrambled, w/some bacon. I also like the hashbrowns, but it doesn't come w/the French toast so that's extra. The cheesecake topped w/strawberries is also good, but I'm always too full to eat any dessert. Next time, I'll take one to go...Can't wait to eat here again. Maybe I'll try something different on the menu

There is an Ihop directly across street. I suggest going there! Lets start by walking int he door. We were handed menus and pointed to a dirty table. We waited a few minutes then decieded maybe if we sit at dirty table it will get cleaned. Took only a minute then. But then put in drink orders.. 25 minutes later we reminded him we are still waiting on drinks. Meanwhile another table was sat and delivered there drinks by same waiter... He then brings drinks. After an hr wait we inquired about food. We were only ordering breakfast, shouldn't of taken long. He brings out 4 out of the 5 and says the 5th wasn't ready. One had a hair sitting right on top... Yikes! Manager Please. She gets the other plate and a new one to replace the Hairy one, even gave a slight discount. BUT AVOID this place unless you have way to much time to kill and aren't that hungry...

It's a typical Denny's joint that you go to when your hungry at night. Service here is ordinary where they take there sweet time if it's even slow also. Ordered the grand slam and my cousin ordered the chicken tenders he didn't like his since it was drenched in sauce the grand slam was pretty good but made you feel like crap later. Overall place was dirty service is ok

This place was really disgusting. The fish in the fish and chips looked so bad that before i even cut it everyone at the table suggested i send it back. it was a dark brown ,looked very strange, and tasted freezer burned. The mashed potatoes is "powder out of a bag mixed with water "according to my waitress. My friend ordered roasted red potatoes and they had been deep fried like french fries. There were big flies everywhere, filthy, and it was freezing with actual frost on the windows so you had to sit in the middle of the restaurant to not shiver while you ate. The fish was 9.99 and my friend suggested we go to Red lobster next time where the fish is flown in fresh daily and a full course meal maybe costs about $12.00 for the tilapia and the food tastes gourmet compared to this and I am not even a Red Lobster fan. If you are going to Dennys because it is cheap that really isnt the case. Its disgusting food and still costs about the same for places far better in food quality, service and ambiance. Cheaper is not a reason to go there and be disgusted.

My boyfriend and I went here for a nice big breakfast but were very disappointed. We are both vegetarians so I ordered the veggie omelette and he ordered the bacon avocado omelette and specifically asked for no bacon. First of all, they took one hour (no exaggeration) to bring out any food to us. When they did they only brought my veggie omelette out and said that they had put bacon in my boyfriend's omelette and had to remake it. His omelette came out surprisingly fast and as he started eating it, he could taste the bacon fat in the eggs. THEY HAD PICKED OUT THE BACON and sent it back to our table. I then found pieces of sausage in my food, and the veggies were also raw. We refused to pay for this disgusting excuse for a meal. The waitress apologized and was very embarrassed. Definitely never coming back here again.

It's been years since I ate at a Denny's. I have to say, the food, the service, and the music were all TERRIFIC. Soft, relaxing guitar music, quiet ambiance, very nice server, and some really satisfying, healthy food. We had a fresh Veggie Skillet with potatoes and scrambled eggs on top. If I'd been in a fancy restaurant, I couldn't have been happier with the quality of the experience. It's unfortunate that the appearance of the restaurant is an older diner-style place. But do go in and prepare to be delightfully surprised by everything else.
