As a Chicagoian, this was a disgrace to the 'Chicago Dog'. I will never ever return here to eat again. I had 2 ant crawling out of my food that had just gotten done. GROSS! The hot dogs don't taste like all beef or have that snap when you bite into the hot dog like real Chicago dogs do! They put 2 small quarter pieces of tomato which wasn't even right and one sport pepper when there should be 2. Not to mention the pickle was cut wrong... It's like they are cutting corners to make a few extra bucks. Disgustingly disappointed in their Chicago Dog!!! See picture I posted.

We've been to Yummy's several times. The Italian beef dip sandwich is good, the meat is tender and the au jus dip has a bit of spicy kick. The albacore tuna salad sandwich is fresh and good, if almost too big for me. A good ole' reliable place for lunch that tastes as good and as fresh as mom would make it. I believe the cook puts a lot of love into his food and it shows. Haven't tried the hot dogs yet but will sometime soon.

Really great time had the Chicago dog and the Italian beef. Dog was spot on. Beef was packed!!! Looks like a lot of items I'd like to try

Right along the main drag into olde Gulfport is Yummy's. Set amid a complex of other gift shops, it is a quick and easy eat place with sandwiches, ice cream and some amazingly good hot dogs. Big plump franks with all the fixins. If for nothing else, stop in and have a scoop or two of ice cream. Great cones. Then sit at the tables outside under the big trees and relax. Very nice place and a favorite here in charming little gem of a village. Gulfport. A slice of old Florida hidden amid all the Tampa Bay growth.

As a Suburban Chicago resident, I was skeptical that the hot dogs would really be "Chicago Style", especially since they offered other types of dogs as well. NAILED IT! Thanks so much for a great meal from a now-formerly-weary business traveler.

A true italian beef sandwich (Chicago style) as well as the real McCoy vienna hot dog done in the traditional Windy City fashion. Hot dog bun was perfect (this is important) and Vienna dogs have that snap Chicago people love so much. Spot on!! Nice and clean (albeit cluttered and crowded-but what else would you expect in such a place) owners very friendly-I had heard all good things about this place and it was all true. Beer available-goes good with spicy Italian beef or peppers on doggies. We will be back soon! Not today (Sun) because they are closed!

This most random of establishments made me very happy. There is a gift shop inside, but truthfully I wasn't interested in that. They serve some seriously tasty hot dogs, and the ice cream isn't half bad either.

I love the new direction this place is taking. Had lunch with my friend Don here and had the best chicken salad plate . Thanks

As a resident of Gulfport, I do not "get" Yummy's appeal... The food is absolutely the blandest, with minimal quality and quantity. I ordered a "ham and cheese sandwich plate". I received one slice of American cheese, *one slice* of what appeared to be store-bought square lunch-meat ham, on grocery-store-brand style white bread. It was the saddest deli sandwich I have ever been served. Served with equally plain generic ruffled potato chips on a paper plate (I felt like I was at the world's worst picnic) My girlfriend's young niece (5) got the hot dog. It was a hot dog...also exactly what one might expect at home. Plain bun with a boiled dog inside. Which is fine...but you see the lack of inspiration here...same as with the ham sandwich. They also offer "30 flavors of hand dipped ice cream!!" OMG...Hand-dipped? That just means someone scoops it by hand, right? Don't you mean "homemade"? Nope, all the ice cream is Hersheys brand. 'Hand-dipped' makes it sound like grandma herself is in the back with a wooden spoon churning the cream from fresh-milked cows... "Yummy's" sadly does not live up to the expectations of their own name. Lies!!!!

I have to say to start, take each review you read anywhere, about any place, with a grain of salt & make your own choice on a place. Everyone has different experiences & expectations so still check out the place for yourself. I have lived in Gulfport for a year now & I enjoy ordering from here. I did start out ordering the hot dogs but I'm not much of a hotdog fan. Although I did enjoy the ones I ordered here. Like the Slaw dog. (I seem to really like coleslaw a lot lately) Anyways, I have been ordering more sandwiches lately that are always delicious. Like the (god what haven't I got) the Ruben was good. (I could sit here & think of all of the food I had but that could take all day & this would be 2 pages long) All in all & don't have any complaints. The owner is always friendly to everyone that walks in. It's a cute little deli that has a great small town atmosphere. They are still open during the construction going on right now. & boy I can't wait till that's done just to see how much better the place will look. Excited for them. But again, all in all, no complaints from here. Check it out & see for yourself. You'll be back. :)

My son was so enamored with these hot dogs that he ate two in a row (he weighs all of 40 lbs, soaking wet) and when he asked for ice cream at the end, the owner was so impressed he gave him the cone for free. Wonderful guy and when I managed to steal ONE bite of the miraculous hot dog, I understood why. I don't know what their secret is, but WOW! I have a vegetarian wrap and it was wonderful with sweet balsamic vinegar and home made cole slaw. Really lovely little place. It's under construction for expansion, can't wait to get back to Gulfport and see it finished.

They say they are open Tues - Sunday. Drove there Friday night at 6;30pm with the family to have dinner and they were closed. BUMMER!! BTW, the reason their hot dogs are no different than those in front of the Home Depot, is because they get their product from the same Vienna Rep...who services the Home Depot vendors, too. Oh well, I guess I will just wait til I need a power tool or garden stuff for my next Vienna Fix!

This is such an adorable little place to have lunch. It's a remodeled and redecorated beach bungalow from the 1960's, with a dining room where the front porch used to be and a gift shop on the opposite side. While you wait for your order, you can amuse yourself with a game of solitaire, or maybe a peg board game. Food-wise, this place is great for lunch, and an inexpensive choice. Don't expect anything fancy; you get standard sandwiches and chips. They also have a wide variety of novelty desserts. It kind of feels like eating in a beloved aunt's winter home. Overall, I would say 3 stars for the food, and 4 stars for the cozy, nostalgic atmosphere. Definitely beats driving to a fast food chain.

Chicago Dog is Chicago Hot Dog! Renown Vienna brand is served here, for those who don't know what is the real brand served in Chicago! Nothing special here..you can get this type of hot dog in front of Lowe's and Home Depo in St Pete. The prices are the same at the hardware so stop giving the place bad critique. The location is clean, the people at the front desk are friendly. So what's not to like, it's Chicago Style Hot dog, not Bern's. By the way, if you don't order Chicago Style and you order plain hot dog or a ham cheese sandwich, shame on you! Your at a location that serves Vienna! If you don't know what to order, ask for Chicago Hot Dog, Polish Dog. Yes, they serve beer! Okay what's unique is the ambiance of the location..if you enjoy people watching the is the place to be. I am fan, because it's brings Chicago to me here in Florida! And I know how to order which type of hot dog!

Under the new owners this wonderful place has slipped a bit in the qua;lity of their food. Not quite the same taste to old favorites...!
