Fried green tomato BLT: 5 stars. Incredible. Chipotle mayo adds just the right kick, the whole thing is a winner. I'll be back for this for sure. Breakfast burrito: Good, a little wet. Maybe stick to the tomatoes.

I've only been to Stella's for breakfast, first time it was great This time is was ok. The bloody Mary's have good flavor but are pretty weak.I think it just depends on who makes them. I decided to get the fried Green Tomatoes Eggs Benedict. This dish was not the best I've had there. The eggs were over cooked, the yolks didn't run, the hollandaise sauce had good flavor but was congealed on top of my eggs and the green tomatoes weren't very juicy. All of these issues caused for a dry benedict . On a positive note the potatoes were really good. As always the service was great, the servers were very attentive and we never had to ask for anythinh. This may have just been an off day. I'll be sure to him back and update my review.

Really cute and quaint little place. The staff is super friendly! Breakfast was good, very fresh. My poached eggs on my benedict were cooked perfectly, and the dish wasn't overrun with hollandaise sauce. I suggest the homemade donuts they shop to you - worth it!

As soon as you walk up, you are greeted with smiling faces and welcoming hellos. Atmosphere is laid back and is a great mum and pop place. Homemade doughnuts are to die for! I ordered the shrimp omelet with egg whites, it was good but lacked a little flavor. My friend ordered the California Benedict and it was delicious! I will absolutely be coming back. good cheap food with friendly staff

I have pretty much stopped going here since they changed their pancake batter recipe. They went from having the best pancakes in the bay area to something that tastes like Sysco Item # 56453. Previously - the cakes were fluffy and delectable, with a bit of a crisp edge like they used bacon grease to fry em in...now they are thin, bland, sad things not worthy of mention. I absolutely do not understand why restaurants do this. Sad, really. Still a decent spot for breakfast, but as a Gulfport local and aficionado of breakfasts - I have no more interest since so many places do a better pancake. The bacon has always been on the weak side as well, but I was willing to forgive that due to the pancake excellence. I wonder if they have changed the biscuits & gravy recipe too?

Occasionally, we'll visit wonderfully "Weird Gulfport!" We came down just to hang out on a Saturday so we selected Stella's from breakfast Their Cali Omelette, with spinach, avocado, tomato, egg whites, & goat cheese was so flavorful! We ordered the Fried Green Tomato side on our continuous quest for the perfect FGT! We scored a delicately breaded version that was quite tasty. They captured the secret to good grits as well. The Corned Beef Hash is homemade! That's huge! I wouldn't serve the canned stuff to anyone! The house coffee is the locally roasted well flavored Kahwa! Our server was informative & attentive. Once again, the service was a .team effort. A great eatery will be crowded on Sunday.. "People! Embrace life & chill. Dining out is not a drive-by experience. Enjoy!

There's a lot of good things to say about this local breakfast/ brunch hot spot in Gulfport. (1) the serve a solid breakfast. I ordered a florentine Benedict and my boyfriend ordered the ham steak benedict. For both of us, they cooked the eggs perfectly - running yolks, semi-firm whites. With mine, I really liked how they used fresh spinach. Most of the time I order a Benny with spinach, the spinach is cooked (which isn't a bad thing, but there goes some of the nutrients in the cooking process). And they did a nice job piling it on too - none of this two leaves bs. I ordered the hash browns as a side and those were not great. They tasted very plain and just not worth eating. I tried dousing them with ketchup but it didn't help much. I will say that they have pretty descent coffee. Not weak which is a pet peeve of mine. (2) another positive is that they have both a great outdoor dining option and an adorable diner for those who don't like to eat outside with us savages. They have several tables outside (it is uncovered) on the sidewalk and they are very pet friendly. Tons of people brought their canine companions. We had a dog in tow and all the servers were super friendly to us and the furkid. The inside is very diner-esq. lots of character in a fairly small space. (3) this place is walking distance to a small marina there were you get a great view of the water and boats. If you're visiting during the week there are several shops along that street to find whatever you're looking for. So you can eat here and walk off your breakfast afterwards.

Love the art district!! Heard about the corn beef hash so i had to check it out. Lets just say in my top 3 of all time and I eat alot of it. Perfectly grilled with 2 great poached eggs. Also got the fried green burrito, the wife says best breakfast burrito ever. Great blood marys, great hash browns, great atmosphere.. I dont give them out too easily but Stellas definitely deserves 5 stars.

Total beach vibe cute place with good food, good company and service. Nice outdoor seating and definitely a great stop. Not expensive very affordable and the food is portioned appropriately!

Food is great. Everyone waits to eat here instead of goong next door or down the street. I never try to go anywhere else for breakfast in Gulfport

Was surprised when we got there and saw how small it was but very electric with people enjoying themselves. It is one of those treasured "dive" dinners in all the best ways. The service was excellent. We went for the corned beef hash breakfast because of the reviews. For us this wasn't very good. It had a strange taste. First we thought it might be bad but decided that this must be their recipe. Couldn't taste the corned beef, more like viniger. I looked around and all the portioned I saw were fare for the price and we spent the extra dollar to get hash browns. If we go back it will be an omelette next time.

Tried Stella's after hearing the great reviews, mainly from Gulfport locals. That's sort of the key... Gulfport locals like to promote anything in Gulfport. We had brunch with a party of 7, everyone ordered something different including both lunch and breakfast items, so a lot of variety of offerings at the table. The food was acceptable but not really anything special. No one left saying that they were in a rush to return. So the place is kind of cute, a little bohemian, nicely situated in Gulfport near the Marina. The service was fine, the food unfortunately just average and uninspired.

This is worth it and I don't want you to mess it up for me. That's right you Yelpers, I almost don't want to tell you that I like this spot. This place and the menu is exciting. There are a lot of dog owners that go here and it can get weird but who cares? Life is short; eat and order anything cause it's going to be good and they will surprise you. Highlights: Pierogies Fried Green Tomatoes (like the movie only delicious) Pancakes that are actually good w/cinnamon butter Affordable egg sandwiches Great waitstaff Passion Hipsters Lowlights: Expensive juice that's ok Dog city intimidation Hipsters I wish I came here more. Great spot! Bravo

Three words: Corned. Beef. Hash. Put some ketchup and hot sauce on it, mix it with a fried egg, then cry because you didn't get another order. Try their Irish coffee, they're dangerous because they're so good. I've only ever come here for brunch and 95% of the time order the corned beef hash. They make it in house and it's amazing. I've also had the lox bagels, good, but be warned, the lox is very thick cut for people who aren't into that. The place is packed for brunch be prepared to wait, and feel free to bring four legged friends.

I stop in there for breakfast and an occasional lunch. The food is good, and the staff is friendly. I enjoy sitting outside, but that can be problematic at times. Last Saturday morning I got my leg licked once or twice by the dog behind me, two dogs in front of me wanted to fight with dogs walking past, there were a couple of other dogs taking up the two empty seats at a 4 person table while 4 people were waiting for seats. Dog hair flutters about, the servers pet the dogs, butter your toast, refill dog dishes, handle your food and share bacon with some of the 'special' pets. It's a nice spot with good food- just be prepared to eat in a kennel.

What a great place for breakfast!! You know it's good when there is a wait :-D We only waited about 10 min to get a seat inside. Oh did I mention it's Fathers Day!! Loved how they had specials centered around "Father's Day" I had the Mahi Mahi Benedict! We also had French Toast and Mel's Burrito! Friendly Staff and Barbra the owner makes you feel like your a regular on your first visit! Thanks for an amazing breakfast!!!

WE LOVE STELLA"S. It is our go to place for breakfast and we recommend it to anyone we know who is in the area. It is a small place and gets packed during peak hours but exactly what you are looking for when craving a good diner breakfast.

  • S B.

Was in mood for a nice corned beef sandwich and read good reviews about breakfast including corned beef hash, so drove past a regular deli to try. Probably the fattiest corned beef I ever had (maybe it melts as hash), and not much of a sandwich for the price. Maybe better for breakfast...

I WISH I could rate this better, because the tuna salad was made with real tuna & not overpowered with mayo. We both enjoyed our light lunch. It is very very tiny, but cute and quaint. However, I witnessed an employee marrying ketchups in plain sight, right on the counter. This is the shady type of thing you want to do in the back, where no one can see. This is such an egregious violation of my senses and my knowledge of hygiene that it is actually affecting my entire review. If a restaurant smells a certain way, or you see something in the front of the house that doesn't look entirely sanitary, you can be sure that the things you don't see are just as bad, or worse. It is heartbreaking to me, because this could probably be a lovely little place to visit if I wasn't so paranoid about my health standards when dining out. I'm giving 3 stars, because the food is good, and the one stain on my experience (albeit a HUGE one that won't come out) was the ketchup grossness.

    (3)
  • John C.

Very average. Service was good but food preparation and ambience was nothing special. I have no idea how this place could possibly win a best of award. Specific details of how food falls short. Home fries portion was tiny and they were overlooked ( but I think I got the end of a batch but they should never have served them), and a waffle was also overcooked and quite dry. Indoor seating and layout seems lacking a sense of style.

Not sure why it's titled on Yelp as a "deli" as it seems more a restaurant. That said, this was a wonderful find! Some of the best breakfast in Pinellas County. Dog friendly. Don't miss this place! Yum!!! Charming, friendly staff.

Great breakfast! My wife found this spot because it shares a name with our daughter, Stella. Pancakes with cinnamon/sugar butter were very good. Service was outstanding, wait staff was very nice. We're vacationing here but this will be a must on future trips.

We went to Stellas for breakfast this morning, it was delicious! My husband had pancakes, grits and bacon. I didn't care for the grits but the cakes were light and spongey. The cinnamon butter added just enough sweetness. I preferred them to the Gulfport Grill. I had the breakfast wrap with chorizo sausage, peppers and cheddar inside. I added jalapenos and sour cream for $1 more. Wowsers, mine was good! It packed flavor and bite. It was so filling, I didn't make it to the home fries. Everything came out fast and our server was pleasant. Its a tight squeeze inside but it was air conditioned and the other diners were cordial. Ask for your food to be seasoned if that's your preference, unless you want to add salt and pepper yourself. I will definitely be back!

My go-to breakfast spot on the weekend... provided I'm on the move by 9. Fills up quickly, at least on the patio and its a little cozy inside. I can almost promise someone has written a ballad about their corned beef hash. It is almost impossible to find this kind of real honest-to-god made from scratch deliciousness in Florida. I have never been for lunch, but I'm currently adding it to my mental "To Do" list. Stella's is in almost ridiculously charming downtown Gulfport, which is worth a visit whether you're a local or just visiting. Service is always friendly, if not always fast... it seems like the servers kind of take care of the whole restaurant, so I kind of get how a few other reviewers felt overlooked... it happened to me ONCE out of the dozen or so times I've been there. But, instead of stewing... just say something and these folks will be all over it. And then they will bring you amazing food and you'll be happy again!

I've been here for brunch and haven't been disappointed, but haven't been wowed. All food was prepared decently. Staff is friendly and I like that there is both indoor and outdoor seating. Coffee is good as well as the grits, but nothing really stood out.

  • M L.

Really friendly people, really avg food. So Lilly A, I'm balancing your review! FYI, there are about 5 restaurants all in this area so you can't go too wrong if they are too busy. Just not a big enough place to do a good job on the weekend, French toast was basically bread. I think they really just can't handle capacity. During the week, likely better. Was a super busy Sat am so keep that in mind. Good strong coffee and nice to sit outside! If in the area and it is not too busy, much more likely to recommend.

Stella's does not live up to its hype and definitely does not deserve its Best of the Bay rating. After going there several times, ordering a wide breadth of breakfast food, the general consensus is that the food has a generally soggy feel to it, like it was sitting in the kitchen for far too long. The waffle was burnt on the outside, and it was still not crisp. The menu explicitly stated that it would be served hot, but it was, at most, served lukewarm. Along with the waffles, the benedicts, burritos, and omelettes proved to be disappointing and poorly cooked breakfasts. The only redeeming quality, and the reason why I gave it 2 stars instead of 1, is that their fried green tomatoes are pretty good. Bottom line, if you want to wait 30 minutes to an hour for consistently below average breakfast, go to Stella's. There is much better in Gulfport.

  • Kathryn D.

Hands down, the best pancake I have ever had...and this is coming from someone who has eaten a lot of pancakes. Stella's cinnamon sugar butter just changed my life for the better...Staff were all so friendly and personable. I would make the trip from Boston to Gulfport, FL just to have this meal again!

  • Matthew J.

It was good for a largely charming little breakfast. Waitress-recommended pancakes were tasty, corned beef hash was in the style of the very famous (and sadly for my St. Pete-living behind, superior) corned beef hash on offer at Yanny's in Clearwater. Not as good, but in the style of, which makes it head and shoulders above lousy canned corned beef hash, which Yanny's forever ruined me on. If the Stella's team would head up north and figure out the subtleties of the magical corned beef technique going on up there, that'd be heaven because I'd much rather eat here with their lovely little sidewalk cafe option (indoors is nice too) than in some lousy Clearwater strip-plaza. I liked Stella's for breakfast and I'd go back...and you cannot beat the utterly charming Downtown Gulfport setting. Good value, overall, I felt.

The thing I always look forward to most when visiting Family in Florida is stopping by Stella's for brunch! Yes, it beats the sun and the beach. It's that good!!!

  • Matt G.

One word: Meh. The place is a tad cramped and the prices are fair. I ordered a "specialty burger" that was the burger-of-the-day. It was a decent burger with lots of great toppings: bacon, avocado, cheeses, and such. I think it might have been a bit too much though. The avocado just took over everything. I'd say visit if you get the chance one morning that it isn't busy. They're breakfast looks pretty good.

    (2)
  • Michael B.

Suffering from it's own success. Food is always good but now they have crammed in about four more tables outside and added a "see hostess for seating" on the sidewalk and a t-shirt concession fold out card table down the way. Also, as crowded as it was, there was a four-top that had a "reserved" placard on it and we were there for 45 minutes and no one showed up. It used to be Funky and Cool with good food but the vibe now is all business. Food is still good and eating breakfast under an Oak tree is always nice but it isn't the quaint little place it used to be.

The service was great. The menu had a large volume of creative and tasty options. Highly recommend. I got the veggie wrap with goat cheese and homemade potato chips :)

Location, location, location...can't make up for poor service. A very cute little café just off the waterfront in Gulfport. The corned beef hash was very good, the wheel French toast was tasty, And the eggs were cooked perfectly! My friends had pancakes, and said they were in the top 10 of any pancakes they'd ever had! Sadly, Stella's loses a star for poor service. Although everyone who came by our table (there were three or four different people) were lovely and friendly, the servers kept forgetting things. I will give them that this was on a Sunday morning, but they weren't overwhelmed with customers. My first mug of coffee was brought in a cup that still had someone else's lipstick on it; after the second mug came, I asked for milk/cream for the coffee. After waiting, and the coffee getting cold, I eventually went into the restaurant (we were sitting outside), and grabbed some myself from a side station. After the first (cold) cup of coffee was gone, they came around with regular coffee for my friend, and were going to come back with decaf for me. In the next 45 minutes, It never arrived, even though I asked for it two more times. I'd like to believe that this for service example was an anomaly. The food was good and I would like to give Stella's another try, if I am again in the area.

Such a great place!! Probably the biggest pancakes in all of St. Pete.. seriously! And Barbara ' s Fried Green Tomato omelet is to die for!! Obviously the best place for brunch in Gulfport because it was the only packed out place on the block!! Way to go Stella's! EAT HERE!!

What a great find - food was exceptional. We tried the fried green tomatoes, shrimp cheese grits, and the sausage links are the absolute best. Love the location and the service was friendly, knew the menu, and made suggestions. Will absolutely be back ~

  • Jessica S.

We brunch it up here almost every week. Usually very friendly staff and excellent location. Food is good for the most part. The shrimp and grits have potential but definitely need work..a different sauce and no raw onions. The fried green tomatoes are the best!!!!! They need better sangria/mimosa specials (we only eat here and go over to Saltys for drink deals). The hangover burger is a favorite as is the teddy bear breakfast.

  • Geoff T.

What a little gem of an eatery in a little gem of a town. We saw the menu last night while strolling around the area, and decided we needed to go back. Definitely an excellent call. My wife had the ham stack, I had the corned beef hash (REAL corned beef hash, made with real corned beef and real potatoes by hand, NOT from a can... What a concept). Both were delicious. Wife got the pretzel bun as her bread option. Try with honey, you won't be disappointed. Eggs were cooked just right. There's a mug wall for regulars, where you can hang your favorite mug on the wall for your daily sojourns for the breakfast truth. How I wish we lived close-by so our mugs could go on the wall. Maybe someday...

Nothing special. Not even worth too much of my time. Food was average or mediocre, far from anything special or worth returning. The service was really bad. Found them rude, not friendly to visitors, but we're very friendly to locals or usual clients.

  • Jim L.

Super friendly staff and localized hash! We were greeted warmly on our visit here and staff attentive throughout. Both my veggie wife and I were delighted with breakfast. As we're from the north, we loved sitting outside to eat. Excellent filling breafast fueled us to explore, Gulfport, a very pedestrian friendly town.

  • Danny T.

I can see why this place is so popular. Walking in for breakfast, we were greeted by just about every employee around, "Good morning, how are you, welcome to Stella's." Then again as we were leaving, "Thanks for stopping in, hope you enjoyed it, come again!" Courteous service like that book ended around a great breakfast--no doubt this little spot is a great choice for anyone visiting the Gulfport, FL area. First off, they like Yelp. If you check-in you get a free drink with entree purchase. Nice. Like I mentioned, we stopped by in the morning so I went with my current obsession: breakfast burrito. It was perfect. Honestly, might be the best breakfast burrito I've ever had outside of my house. Usually you order one, it comes on a plate and you dig in with a knife and fork. Sure it's doable and probably still tastes good but usually creates a mega mess. Nine times outta ten the thing turns into a plate of 'rito guts and butchered tortilla by the time you're half way through. Stella's wraps theirs up real tight then cuts it in half. It was the best hand-held option I've had and the neatest/easiest option outside of a fast food joint. They use chorizo. Twas good, spicy. They also got eggs, taters and onions tucked inside as well as a healthy amount of cheddar. Got it with a side of crispy bacon, tasty grits and attentive service. All around I'd give it a 9 outta 10, just cuz there's always room for improvement. Wife ordered the waffles with fruit. Also good, light and golden but I think they misled her about the fruit. She asked if it was fresh, they said yes, but the strawberries were def. the kind you buy either frozen or canned. You can always tell by the color and texture. The apples were really good, I think they might've been fresh. Laced with cinnamon and sugar, like an apple pie dropped off the kids for your waffle's toppings. Relatives of ours had put us up for the weekend so we wanted to treat them, the 4 of us got outta there for less than 40 bucks. If you're a local, bring your mug in, they'll keep it on the wall for ya so you can get your cup of Joe with a side of home-field advantage. Would love to go back for lunch or dinner, but for now--take my word, Stella's is a perfect breakfast option, and if you try the burrito, I dare you not to put it in your top 10. Stellllll-uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!

My wife and I are Gulfport locals, but my job keeps me out of town for long periods. Whenever I do get home, Stella's is a priority for us. We sometimes try other local breakfast spots, but we always come back to Stella's. This might not be high cuisine to some people, but it is always a good hearty breakfast at a fair price. We love the people and the location. When I am out of state for weeks at a time, I love knowing that my Harbor Cafe mug is hanging on the wall at Stella's waiting for me to come home.

Great breakfast spot with friendly staff and good value. My first time there I was treated like a regular so I don't know what another reviewer was talking about when they stated that they were unfriendly to out of towners.

Must stop from here on out when I visit. LOVE IT! Fried green tomatoes, breakfast burritto, pancake special.... YUM! Locally owned and operated too. Always a plus in my book.

Had the French toast and a side of the homemade corn beef and hash. My wife had the eggs Benedict. All was good. Fun local atmosphere, especially sitting outside on the sidewalk. Lots of people had their dogs outside, so would love to bring our dog with us in the future.

First time visiting the area and found Stella's on Yelp. My boyfriend and I pulled up to a packed outdoor seating area, and I was expecting a wait, but they were able to seat us immediately inside. Lots of stuff on the menu I was interested in trying, but I landed on the crab cake benedict (a special) and he had the shrimp and grits. Other then the grits needing a little extra salt, both were delicious. My hash browns were seasoned well and poached eggs were perfect! Crab cake was flavorful and fresh as well. Our server was friendly and attentive despite a nearly packed house. Would definitely come back and may try to squeeze in one more visit before heading home!

  • Carey F.

My second visit here wasn't as pleasing as the first. The hashbrowns were undercooked and lacked seasoning. My husband ordered eggs benedict and unfortunately the poached eggs were overcooked. Hopefully this was just an off day, as we thoroughly enjoyed our first visit!

Awesome breakfast spot. This was my last breakfast in Florida before our move and I wish I had known about it earlier! Service efficient/friendly, food was great and the atmosphere was laid back/chill. We were outside, since I had our dog and it was a little toasty. My only suggestion would be to make those outdoor ceiling fans a little bigger, as they were quite small and totally ineffective. Other than that, I really enjoyed all aspects of my meal.

The corn beef hash is fantastic because it's home made. I haven't really eaten anything else because it's so good. The other food looks pretty good too.

We had breakfast at Stella's our last morning in Gulfport. I'm sorry we waited so long to try them. The food, service and atmosphere were all great. We dined outside on the sidewalk and enjoyed the relaxed, dog friendly atmosphere. Our server was excellent; friendly and helpful. Mt wife had the crepes special. Three crepes stuffed with bananas and cream cheese and honey drizzled on top. Very nicely done. Their breakfast burrito was excellent. It was stuffed full with eggs, chorizo, cheese, peppers, onions and potatoes. The side of home fries was excellent as well. We will definitely be back when we are in the area.

Having lived in Gulfport for a couple months now, I've been to Stella's several times already. That's a good sign in itself. The first time I visited, I was admittedly hungover. The corned beef hash was literally the best I have ever had. None of that canned crap here. Now, I wasn't sure if it was just because I was hungover or if it was actually that good. But, I went back and got it again and yes, it's that good. And now I've gone back a couple more times and it's still good. My only complaint is that sometimes it is crispy (which i prefer) and sometimes it's softer. Maybe I will just request it a little extra well done next time. My BF got the breakfast burrito once and he liked that. I got the corned beef hash benedict once and I didn't really like that- the sauce and eggs was too much with the hash and it masked the flavor. Go with the plain and simple corned beef hash and you can't go wrong. My mom got the pumpkin silver dollar pancakes and she loved them. Their coffee is also really good AND strong! I really like this place. The only beer they have on tap is Stella- cute idea.

Stella's seems to be an encapsulation of Gulfport itself: Casual, relaxed, a little funky but with good taste. While we arrived in time for brunch we opted for lunch items but many breakfast choices would tempt us back again. I had the fried green tomato blt on wheat with the ciega chips that turned out to be home made potato chips. It was quite good, the wheat bread was thick & hearty and strong enough to hold everything but not too flavorful to overwhelm the other parts of the sandwich. The breading on the fried green tomatoes was seasoned and gave a nice crunch to the coolness of early season tomatoes. Service was attentive but spotty as a beverage we ordered we had to ask for twice but it was easy enough to wave down our server in the quaint space. Checks were easy to split at the counter as we made our way out.

How's this place doesn't have 5 stars is beyond me. The food is fantastic the atmosphere is wonderful and very fitting with the vibe of Gulfport. This is a great place to go if you like a great meal and the prices are very reasonable. I will be back again and again until I try everything. Breakfast burrito, biscuits and gravy and French toast were all worthy of coming back for and I have heard the corned beef hash maybe the best thing on the menu so that's my next meal can't wait!!

Update 1/14: From 4 stars to 3. Having visiting the restaurant a dozen or so times, I have to confess that their service has been going downhill. That's not to say that, once someone eventually gets to you, they're not professional - quite the opposite. But last weekend was the second time I've sat down, waited for 15 minutes, and then left. Go during downtimes and you should be fine. Friendly, neighborhood stop for omelette, serviceable coffee and a respectable side of grits. The pancakes are fluffy and the bacon thick.

Stella's was pretty good for breakfast, but not the best I've ever had. If you go here be sure to check in on Yelp as you get a free beverage for checking in when you purchase a meal. So that was a plus. This is the first place I've ever eaten breakfast where I was still hungry after finishing my meal due to small portions. Other than the small portion size, it was really good, try their breakfast burrito, it was pretty good, the home-fries are decent as well.

Consistently great brunch with incredibly helpful staff and an atmosphere that will make you feel like a welcome regular even if it's your first time. One of the best brunches in Pinellas!

Went for breakfast/brunch at Stella's expecting good things, unfortunately the service was appallingly, we were initially served with coffee and water then left for about twenty minutes for food order and refills. Then when the corned beef hash turned up the eggs were not cooked!, very disappointed and will not be going back

What took me so long to discover this gem. I agree with other reviewers that it's probably swamped during the weekend. Got there around 11AM, and it was packed inside, while nearly deserted outside. So pleasant to sit within view of the waterfront while enjoying a cup of coffee. Ordered a single egg breakfast, which also included two slices of ham, a generous portion of hash browns and two slices of rye toast. I was shocked that it arrived about five minutes after ordering, and kept me full for hours. Less than $6 including coffee and tax. The nine or so outside tables have a polished stainless steel look, accompanied by wrought iron chairs. Flowers along the outside wall. More people kept arriving as time passed. Was asked four times by a waitress and waiter if I wanted more coffee, so giving them a medal for service. At the end, another kind waitress lets me know that I could pay her instead of going inside. She promptly returned with my change. What's not to like.

I have eaten here several times and have always enjoyed the food. Stella's serves breakfast and lunch outdoors in a dog friendly spot in downtown Gulfport. Will definitely recommend the breakfast burrito, hash browns and mimosa to drink. The service is usually very good and it can get busy during the tourist season and on weekends so I would suggest eating there on a weekday. Prices are reasonable and you get nice, friendly service with a smile. The name comes from the great aunt of the owner who was a christian nun name of Stella. You can read this when you see the notice posted on the front window of the business.

Having grown up in California where breakfast places are numerous, we're always looking for new breakfast places to eat! Stella's was recommended by a server at Habana Cafe as "the" breakfast place in the area so we went and were not disappointed. It is an obvious local spot but we look forward to bringing friends and out of town guests because of its quaint, friendly atmosphere (the restaurant and Gulfport in general). Not the usual bacon and eggs... Finally! The house-made Corned Beef Hash was delicous - nicely browned on the outside but tender on the inside with Poached Eggs on top and served with Cinnamon Raisin Toast. My husband had a Florentine Benedict with "fresh" Spinich (which keeps your English Muffin from becoming soggy). We both had the local coffee shop "Kahwa" coffee that rounded out the meal perfectly. Portions are perfectly sized - no need to have to split mounds of food with my husband for a change (I really like that) and we will definitely be back with others in tow! Thank you Tammy for the great service and Barbara (co-owner) for taking the time to stop by our table to say hello! Check out their website stellasingulfport.com

Cute little cafe by the water. Came by for lunch and ordered the Poached Pear Spinach salad (guess it was a daily special) which was suggested by the waitress. It was DELICIOUS and refreshing. We also ordered a Philly cheese steak sandwich and the portion is decent. We didn't order any breakfast but I saw some of the dishes, they looked really good as well.

Ate here twice during our last vacation in Gulfport (we come once a year here). The staff is very friendly, the food is made from scratch. The fried green tomatoes are great, as a side or as an omelette. It's a nice place to start your day with a delicious breakfast that wasn't just popped out of some freezer bags. If you like corned beef, you have to try the hash, yum.

My boyfriend and i were looking for a different breakfast/brunch spot and I came across Stella's on yelp. Loved the atmosphere! It had a great homey feel. We thought the food was good, nothing out of this world and the menu was fairly priced. I was really impressed with the corn beef hash and my bf with the coffee. I had the lox Benedict, it was pretty good. The eggs were a little too runny for my taste, easy fix and to be fair I should have ordered them the way I wanted them. The hollandaise was decent, I felt it lacked depth of flavor. We also had French toast and it was a little dry for our taste. The corn beef hash and eggs was the real winner in my book! We would definitely come back. The atmosphere is ideal for lazy Sundays. It is also in a great location to just walk around and explore Gulfport. Give this place a chance I think you'll like it.

Stella's has decent food - good for a weekend breakfast or brunch - but don't expect to be in and out of here fast when they're busy. The service on Saturday and Sunday mornings is horrific - they are understaffed and unorganized. There are too few waitresses, no hostess, and the seating is basically a free for all for whoever can grab the table first. My boyfriend and I have both been in the service industry at various times and we are always disappointed with how this place is run. I will be less likely to come here because of the poor service. That being said, the food is always good, the atmosphere is nice, and if you want a slow, relaxing breakfast or brunch in a quaint downtown area, this is the place to go. And they are dog friendly if you're outside!

One thing Gulfport needs is an authentic bakery/coffee shop that opens early in the morning. I was not impressed with the breakfast here AT ALL. I know of better places to eat. Maybe not in Gulfport, though.

Great dog friendly breakfast spot. We sailed into the Gulfport anchorage, dropped the hook and then had breakfast with friends here at Stella's. Wow, it is one of those places that you will surely crave after a couple of weeks. Laid back, little funky, great food and great service.

Everyone else pretty much said it all. Great hash. Great Reuben sandwich. Nice hash browns. Scrambled eggs just like I like. I was disappointed that the orange juice wasn't freshly squeezed but that's neither here nor there since the food was awesome. Gulfport should be really proud of this place. Also, to feel like a local grab a mug off the wall for your coffee.

My friends and I are tremendous fans of this place. We love the food, the staff, and the atmosphere. It's like "Cheers" but with food! We go every Sun for brunch and we love it. You can even bring your dog! Awesome place. Go go go!!!

If you are in Gulfport, stop in for awesome fresh deli type fare. The owners/staff are so personable and friendly. We returned to Stella's this year on our last day because we didn't want to miss out on these sweet place. We hope they are always a part of Gulfport!

This place is great for breakfast! We thoroughly enjoyed the coffee and quiche and eggs Benedict and great service! I would recommend this place and get there before 0900. Great Veteran's Day breakfast! It was sooo! Good on Friday that we returned to have another excellent breakfast.

My favorite is the feta and spinach omelet, but I have never had a bad meal here, and I eat at Stellas about 3 times a week. Consistent, the staff is friendly, and the price is right.
