Converting cottages to restaurants with large decks and welcoming yards strewn with fairy lights appears to be Gulfport's forte. Walking down the main drag newly painted and planted little cottages sit next to those still untouched. After seeing the dramatic differences it is difficult to understand why all across the USA neighborhoods do not follow these simple examples and lose their drabness. The restaurants are usually crowded, the servers are good enough to open Server University, but the high priced food is hit or miss. Neptune Grill is the sole restaurant not a converted house, not sweetly decorated but offering a view of the water. Our server was so good we stayed longer than usual not wanting to say good bye. Neptune is as much bar as eatery. The decor is from long ago---meaning there is none. The reasonably priced food is surprisingly good. Two of us had seafood and ate every bit agreeing it was fresh and well prepared. One had Greek food and found it average. We had passed other places where the wait time was 30 minutes. We were seated immediately at Neptune. I would come back here any old day rather than wait to sit in someone's old living room while people crowded around me waiting for my small table. When I do no matter what my order, it will follow a bowl of the rich shrimp bisque.

Late lunch here with my son on a lazy Monday. Met the owners' son who was VERY professional and attentive for your basic diner. I was in the mood for greek food and loaded up, ordering way too much. The food was generally good, but not as great as I hoped. My gyro did not have enough Taziki sauce or veggies, but it was a decent effort. I would like to see a darker Tahini based sauce added. The grape leaves were clearly hand made with love, and truly excellent, except they were covered with a creamy lemon sauce that I did not expect. I prefer my grape leaves dry or just with olive oil. The Greek salad was very competent and satisfying -- no potato salad, which to me is an unhelpful addition from Dunedin, FL. Ironically, the best item we tried were the boneless chicken wings my son ordered. They were perfectly crispy in a very nice buffalo sauce. If it had been early enough to be drinking, this could have been a party hit! I would definitely recommend Neptune Grill and would like to try more of their menu items. It is basically diner comfort food. If I could go there more frequently, I am sure I would find the menu items that satisfy me. This is a well run establishment with the potential for excellence on food, even if they miss the mark sometimes.

I have been coming here for about two years. The service is great and the food is always delicious. Recently i convinced my manager to bring the department here and they were very accommodating. Also, it's right infront of the water! If you want to walk around after or grab a drink down the street, great location. Oh and the prices are very reasonable!

Food was fantastic! The fish spread was so good. I had the crab cake platter, the cakes were perfect large pieces of crab. Our server was very friendly and the food was quick. Enjoyed our dinner very much.

Great food at really great prices. Went with 11 people and everyone was very happy with their food. How often does that happen?

Christmas evening and a warm place to land with many locals and friendly staff. For $23, shared the crunchy almond grouper with stir fried veggies and baked potato. Very good and the full course was huge and easy to share. It's right across from the beach and full of character.

We think this is one of the Best Restaurants in the Tampa Bay Area! You can eat inside or outside at the Bar! The food is great, the staff is kind courteous and very knowledgeable about their menu! My wife loves the Fish Tacos and the Fried Shrimp Dinner is super. Did I mention they have a large selection of Greek dishes? Outside in the afternoons the juke box is playing and impromptu sing alongs will start up. They have live music too. Great views of Gulfport Beach as well!

The food was awesome! I had the chicken quesadilla appetizer which filled me up as if it were an entree. The prices were very reasonable and got lost in the menu. It was very extensive. We had a table of around 20 people, and our server did quite the job keeping up. Food took awhile but as to be expected with a table so large. Definitely worth stopping in.

Another round at Gulfport, FL. I had there gyros $9- quite small for the price I paid for compared to other greek locality in town. With that said, the peta was well prepared, I like it's lightness and crisp. But the portion of meat is eye catching. The owner needs to visit the other greek place by 49th and Park by Pinellas Park! My groupie had over priced burgers and other had breakfast. I don't think' I'd be back. Don't get me wrong there tiki bar was full of peeps drinking away but the inside restaurant was empty-duh there's a reason!

We recently ate at Neptune Grill and enjoyed the experience! We had fried calamari, the chicken quesadilla, and the california wrap with fries. Delicious. Besides good food, good service and the ambiance, Neptune Grill is in an awesome location. They are located at the corner of Beach and Shore with a view of the water from inside the restaurant or from the outside bar. Cant wait to return!

Fast friendly service. Olga was a great server. Shared a blackened grouper sandwich. It was ok but the tarter sauce was spectacular!!

Loved the tiki bar. They had $2 drafts. Met some really friendly people. There are a lot of regulars around happy hour. Ordered the Chicken Souvlaki Platter. It was really good. Loved the tzatziki sauce. It's listed as an American restaurant but they have a lot of Greek dishes on the menu and I believe the owners are Greek, as well. Would definitely be back. Great view.

Located in the heart of Gulfport, my favorite little spot in our area. So its what drew us in.Due to having kids with us, we chose the more family friendly inside dining room over the outside patio/bar area. Very quiet and slower paced, but was clean and service was good. The apps, potato skins, were great, pretty straight forward. Side Caesar was excellent. But out of 3 entrees, only 1 was really liked. The baked crab cakes. My chicken fresca would have been top knotch if they would have not waaayy overcooked the chicken, but the lemon sauce and veggies were very good. The kids cheeseburger was kinda tasteless, BUT very generous in size actually. The chicken marsala was just horrible. It was breaded, but then soaked in a sauce, that tasted 100% like maple syrup no less, so it because very mushy. I asked my Bf how he even ate as much as he did. But we understand different taste for different people. Would come back and give the patio area a try, and new entree choices before ruling it out completely.

We stopped for a snack of their grilled octopus with an adult beverage, and were glad we did! It's right across the street from the water, so you couldn't ask for a better location. The service was very good, the octopus was delicious, and the live music was an added bonus. The other patrons were all friendly, to the point of giving us tips on other places to try during our stay in Gulfport. We'd definitely stop by again to try other items on their menu.

This is a solid place. I love their flaming cheese (oily, but excellent!) and their chicken souvlaki, but hands-down the best is their Greek burger with feta and kalamata olives. I also enjoy their Greek salad, which (thankfully) does not come with potato salad. They're dog-friendly on the patio, which has misters and shade. Service isn't always prompt but it's friendly.

Decent place for a drink. Nice, friendly and attentive staff:) The food isn't totally exciting but it's better than average. You will enjoy the fish and chips and feel fat afterwards like I did:)

We always have a great time here! We always sit at the outside bar when Cory bartends here on Sundays. He's very friendly and makes the best drinks! The food here is the best Greek food around as well. I would recommend the hummus and veggies and grilled chicken pita with their homemade tzaziki ! All around amazing staff and crowd

Our first visit will not be our last. Really enjoyed the place. Excellent home cooked food and really good quality as well. The place was clean and tidy with no obtrusive music playing. Our server was knowledgeable, fun & attentive....pretty sure he goes by the name of 'Lucky'..... The portions were huge, much bigger than we are used to in Europe but I am glad to say the quality did not suffer in a 'quality vs quantity' scenario.

Neptune's is our favorite place to eat in Gulfport. The food is consistent as well as the service. They offer delicious entrees and some are gluten free, indicated on the menu. You can't beat the prices too. We recently ate at 'high end' place in town. We were so disappointed by the food, service, and atmosphere. We told ourselves we should've have gone to Neptune's for better food and better prices. Btw, my favorite dish is the Chicken Fresca.
