If you're looking for a home cooked, flavorful and filling meal- look no further! After a night out on the town my significant other and I were craving a genuine brunch and tucked away inside a Publix strip mall, we got just that. Don't let the outside fool you, this place is as Mom and Pops as it gets! Don't forget to check the special menu they give you which appears to change weekly.. The Gyro omelette and the classic breakfast combo were both awesome, but my favorite part was sitting at the chefs counter and chatting with the delightful servers and watching all the food go out.. Not a bad dish in site. I will be coming back, it's worth the 1.5 hour drive!

It's been a while since I've ate here. I used to come here a lot when I lived around the corner. Thankfully, there wasn't a wait there right for the lunch crew came in because it gets packed, especially on the weekends. The small family owned restaurant has been standing since 1991 and it has a lot of regular customers. The staff is friendly and the service is quick. The menu has a lot of good and healthy options. The prices are reasonable for the amount of food and leftovers are never a bad thing. I always have been a fan of their omelettes, so I got one today for old time's sake. Nothing fancy, just cheese and a side of hashbrown casserole. It was yummy in my tummy! Breakfast for lunch was for the win today.

Waitress was nice, the gravy was good and the rest was sub par. I ordered an omelet that was overcooked and the ham tasted weird. I didn't care for the home fries but my bf did. I can't even describe how bad the bacon was, even the second time it came out bluh! It was chewy and cold then it was chewy and greasy like the dipped it in hot oil before sending it out. Pancakes were average, most of the meal was just edible. Disappointed because it was crowded but it may be because the portions are large.

We ate breakfast here the other day and enjoyed it! We shared the Beef Portabella omelet, and it was huge and affordable. I had also ordered a side of biscuits in gravy which made it way too much food for 2 people! I was delighted to see the beef in the omelet was very delicate and easy to chew, almost like pieces of gyro meat. It had large strips of cooked red pepper and big chucks of portabella mushroom. The only thing is it could have used some sort of sauce. The hot sauce on the table sufficed though. This also came with 2 sides--yikes! We ordered hash browns and pancakes but I left them to the husband as I attacked my biscuits and gravy. The biscuits and gravy were so-so, but with everything else and all of the other options on the menu, I'm okay with that. The service was also extremely friendly. Overall, I would come back!

I really was excited to try this place based on the reviews and it is right by my house. Unfortunately we did not have a good experience at all. The young waitress was extremely rude to the point where I had no choice but to call her on it. I chose to cancel my order and leave. Honestly, I wouldn't trust a person like that handling my food. I spoke with management and their excuse was that they were short staffed and had an unexpected rush. I completely sympathize with anyone being overwhelmed but communicate that in the beginning (about being short staffed) rather than directing an attitude at customers, especially when unprovoked.

Having only eaten here a dozen or so times, I noticed that the regulars are warmly greeted, smiled at, asked "how are you?", "oh is this your grandson?", etc. That's all great but at the same time we were waiting and waiting for everything (including our check) and getting blank looks (no smiles) from various staff members and managers who were passing by. So, it did start to feel like we weren't really important just being occasional customers. Don't get me wrong, I work for a small store so I understand how much you appreciate your regulars. But maybe take a moment to stop and say "hi folks, how are you today?" in between greeting the regulars. Hope this helps! Food is great though! (Maybe use some pork broth in the gravy for biscuits and gravy for a more savory flavor. Gravy is a bit bland.)

The ricky pita is very good. The omellete rob is eating is awsome he said. Also the service here is great.the only thing i didnt like is the bacon on my pita wasnt fresh cooked. It was probly leftover from beakfest. But that aint the worst thing ever. I would come again

Maybe I'm a little biased when it comes to Pete's, because I've been coming here since I was a little girl. Always a busy place with plenty of regulars, I find myself stopping in every once in a while to see how things are. I love their french fries (more like steak fries) and their home made pasta crab salad... best sides to another favorite, the white meat chicken salad sandwich! My mother loves their Southwest wrap and the omelettes, plus they always keep the hot coffee coming! The menu is pretty diverse and they offer daily specials. Another top thing to note is they offer a "healthy" selection of items for those trying to keep fit or to keep the protein going after a gym workout. Overall, Pete's Place has been a staple in the Riverbridge Shopping Plaza ever since I can remember; it's a casual, family owned and operated business, and deserves all of the attention it can get.

Best Kept Secret in Palm Beach County! No frills atmosphere - BUT Food is always fresh, portions are generous and prices are amazing. Pete and Kathy, the owners - are always around to chat with and make you feel welcome. Located inside the River Bridge Plaza next to Publix on Jog and Forest Hill Boulevards -- the location can't be beat. If you go on a Sunday morning, expect to wait...home cooked meals, friendly folk, great prices... it's definitely worth the wait!

Found this restaurant on yelp and decided to give t a try. We ordered smothered eggs. The muffin was over toasted hard and dry. The hashbrown was burnt and cold inside like it was leftover. We ordered an extra toasts. The server forgot and never brought it out. We were kindly mentioned to the lady up front when we paid. She gave us a nasty look and said I'll tell the kitchen. Definitely will never come back.

One of my absolutely favorite places for breakfast! The wheat germ pancakes are to die for! I love that they have a menu for people that eat like I do! 6-8 egg whites, grilled chicken breast and wheat germ pancakes!!! Love love love Pete's Place!!

I've been to Pete's a number of times for breakfast and the food is always consistent. I usually stick to the omelettes and hash browns. My husband loves their choc chip pancakes! Like another reviewer stated they can be a bit greasy at times but still good. Stay away from getting a water it tastes worse than hose water. Other than that it's a great place to grab a bite for a very reasonable price.

This time service was great! But, had the Wam Bam; eggs were runny (eww), not enough real butter (gave us "spread"), bacon could've been cooked better. All in all, much better than first visit!

Wow best breakfast ever!! I had the rise and shine meal. Scrambled eggs, French toast and bacon. It was prefect...

My husband and I ate at Pete's last night. We were seated immediately and our waitress took our drink orders right away. My side salad arrived promptly and our dinner not too long after that. The food overall was just okay. Nothing was bad but nothing was memorable. The waitress delivered our dinners, refilled our drinks, then disappeared for at least 20-30 minutes. The place was quiet as we arrived around 7:30 and they close at 9. So after of day of work and dropping teens at various places in the early evening, this hit the spot. I prefer to eat at local places instead of chains. We'll be back but hope the food and service will be a little better next time.

This place is crowded so you would think it was good. It might be if you order exactly off the menu. I ordered my omelet with the onions well done, extra cheese, home fries not deep fried and the English muffin well done with real butter. Not only were they 0 for 5, but I waited 25 minutes longer than than I should've!

Been here for lunch a few times-can't really speak for the breakfast. It is an old school type deli-type restaurant with a bar in the back. The first time I was here, it was great and everything was fresh. However, my last visit was not up to par. The bread wasn't fresh and the lettuce in my salad was old and wilted. It really destroyed my appetite. Everyone else I've gone there with had great meals so I'm hoping my case was a fluke. I have not 86'ed them but I'm not really in a rush to go back anytime soon.

Based upon Yelp reviews decided this might be a good half way spot to meet my bro from Jupiter. Good choice. Greeted warmly at the front desk and by our server. Bro chose the cheese and vege quesadilla. It was HUGE and delicious. He could only eat half. Also had a great looking salad. I chose the 1/2 chick salad sandwich and chicken noodle soup. Both terrific. Obvious lots of regulars. Prices are very reasonable. Wish this place was near my hood.

Words cannot explain how much I like this place. A true local spot with huge portions and low prices. The staff is always nice and remembers your name, even when I call in am order they recognize me without having to tell them who I am. Of course thus could be because of how often I get lunch take out. I recommend the salads they are very tasty and you will not find a bigger salad anywhere. I dont know how they manage to make the chicken so perfect every time but it us delicious. The high protein menu items are great for people who like to workout. You can also order a protein shake which is also enormous. They let your kids color a picture and hang it on the wall which they enjoy. Petes does not serve dinner except on Fridays but it doesn't matter there are plenty of places to eat dinner not as many great breakfast and lunch spots which Petes definitely is. If you are looking for a fancy, uptight small portion restaurant I recommend you go somewhere else. If you are looking for a friendly, local spot with huge portions thus us your place !

My family has been to Pete's many times for both breakfast and lunch. We love this place. The food speaks for itself. From the smothered eggs to the Philly cheese steak, delicious and the prices are great. It is restaurant food with that cooked at home taste. I will continue to go for many years to come.

Pete's is a breakfast and lunch place that has been on my "places to try" list for a long time. I finally made it today. Lots of good omelette choices. I chose a Meadowland Omelette filled with fresh spinach, grilled onions, sundried tomatoes, mushrooms, and provolone cheese. The omelette was delicious..a very generous portion...however, a little greasy. It was served with a side of chunky home fries which I ordered well done. Because they are deep fried, (I didn't know that) I probably shouldn't have ordered them that way. A bit too overcooked. I also had a choice of toast or pancakes. I ordered the pancakes. They were good but nothing spectacular. The service was great...super fast! Our coffee was refilled without us needing to ask. Our server checked on us a couple of times throughout our meal. I would definitely return to Pete's and recommend it to others.

the food is good sometimes not always but the rudeness of the owner who can look past you and not say hello really ..and some of the waitress can make u sit and wait until they are done talking and then wait on you or even ask can i get you something to drink to keep you occupied and they can be very catty about the other staff or even customers that have come in really keep comments till place is closed up and say hello to people after years of going just cant take that so am off to deli inn or palms diner or bagel place on hypoluxo and jog where those places have friendly wait staff and food is better prices. as one puts ham on there table they dont put ham on mine and no one gets a comp of any sort on anything either for gratitude

Enjoyed the place, very unassuming little spot tucked away in the one corner of a strip mall. We went for breakfast. Has been around for many years and is owner operated. As far as we could see all portions large and freshly prepared. Omelet's made with 3 egg's with a generous amount of fillings. Cuban sandwich again huge and one of the best we've had. The only negative, service a little slow. Otherwise we will go back for breakfast again.

Every Sunday morning after the 7 o'clock mass my family always ended up at Pete's Place. This goes back at least 15 years. The owners Kathy and Pete knew my entire family (which is no easy feat) and they were always so kind and welcoming to us. But this is about the food and like the owners it is awesome! When I was still young and ordering off the kids menu, no other place could make Mickey Mouse pancakes with an orange peel smile like Pete. When I got a little older Smothered eggs is where it is AT! There would always be extra cheese oozing onto my potatoes! I wish I still lived close enough to eat there every Sunday again. I'm sure just like when I was growing up, there is still a line out the door of happy hungry people at Pete's.

Best breakfast in Palm Beach County, hands down. My boyfriend and I stumbled across this little hidden gem after going to IHOP, looking at the long, long line and deciding we were too hungry to wait. This restaurant happened to be in the same shopping center, so we gave it a try. And boy was it worth it. Every weekend there are different specials (carrot cake french toast, Oreo pancakes, peach pancakes, etc.) All delicious. Generous portions, good variety and consistent quality. And the lunch is just as good, my boyfriend loves going for the Adam's Thanksgiving sandwich with turkey, stuffing, cranberry and gravy. We go back almost every weekend.

Based on the positive reviews here I made a visit to Pete's this morning for the first time. For breakfast, I found nothing that would not make this a genuine 5 Star restaurant. My over medium eggs were perfectly cooked, the flavorful sausage patty was huge, moist and hash browns delicious. Service was attentive and pleasant. Size portions are large and pricing reasonable. Daily specials are available. The atmosphere was home-style inviting and comfortable.

This is a very small restaurant open for breakfast and lunch. Try the omelette's or the fruit stuffed french toast. You won't be disappointed!

Very small place that seem to have a faithful following. This is family owned and has a nice feel. I really enjoyed my meal. I had a turkey sandwich and it was delicious. The fries were thick and steamimg hot when served. The bread used on my sandwich was buttered perfectly. I can't wait to go back and try breakfast. Give them a try.

Great place the other reviews are dead on about the owner and the great food. I love the body builder menu they have, lots one healthy choices. The oatmeal pancakes last me 3 days they are so big I have tons of leftovers.

Always crazy busy on the weekends, the local crowd has flocked here for years. I agree with Ben that the regulars here seem to get a little more favorable attention and service. The 5 egg white omelette with turkey sausage and provolone cheese always keeps me coming back. This is A LOT of food for the money and there are usually a horde of well fed people camped outside the doors waiting for a table. It's a family business and I have a soft spot for those. It's clean, service is quick and they slam it out tasting pretty darn good every time.

A great place where all the locals hangout. I agree that the staff is syrupy sweet to the locals but oddly enough don't engage with first timers. But if you're looking to grab a bite and go than this is a great place. Their tuna melt is delicious on rye without the tomato and provolone instead of American. The portions are MASSIVE. The Caesar salad comes in a bowl built for a giant, so you always leave with a full and happy belly. When I first started going here they made you pay for splitting meals, which I found a little tacky. Kids are welcomed to come. They hand out coloring sheets and crayons which the kids can then hang up their art on the wall.

Decided to give Pete's a try after the reviews on here. Had a bit of a challenge finding the place but that's because my mapping app had me go way past and do a U-turn. Not the restaurants fault, but be careful if you're using a mapping app on your phone! 9:45 am on a Saturday morning, the place was packed! I expected to wait a few mins but was seated immediately. I perused the menu when my waitress came to me and took my drink order. I decided on the All American omelet with swiss and cheddar instead of the cheese sauce. Ordering this way was apparently a problem as she made kind of a big deal about changing the order around. I also ordered the small pancakes. My order came faster than I thought it would considering how busy they were and I was pleasantly surprised! It was HUGE! Usually when I order something and it's oversized like this, it's not usually the best it could be (quality over quantity for me, please) but it was pretty darn good! My only complaints would be the hashbrowns were a little overdone but still very good. The pancakes (desert for me) were very good. The only reason I deducted a star was waitress making a big deal of changing the order around slightly and how much grease was used to make the omelet.

The food is great, the portions are huge, the coffee is hot, and the people are friendly. What more can you ask for? If you go on the weekend, expect a wait, but it's definitely worth it.

Every time I go home to Florida I always meet my friend at this place. Great food, reasonably priced and always great service!! We always enjoy the service and the relaxed atmosphere there. I love the corned beef hash and eggs. I will definitely be back when I go back home to visit. :)

Amazingly fresh, good foods, over-sized portions. I have had their seasonal specials like the pumpkin pancakes, the deliciously un-healthy country fried steak omelette and the amazing blackened grouper salad (on different days of course). This restaurant has become a family favorite and is a fantastic value for what you get.
