Okay let me start off by saying i went to this buffet a few times before and before tonight I really loved the food here and thought the customer service here was superb.Tonight is the last time I and my party of 3 will step foot in his establishment ever again. Now mind you the website for New China buffet stated that closing time on Sunday April 5 2015 stated they would be closing at 10:00 pm est. Me and my party of 3 walked inside the doors at around 8:55pm we came in the hostess greeted us and walked us over to our table. we got up proceeded to grab some plates of food and immediately as we sat done i noticed my crab legs were ice cold i called over my waitress and told her my food was cold and she heated up me and my parties plates. I then asked her what time they closed because I noticed the Bus boy's loading up some of the food to take in the back. she changed the subject to the food on my plate. and i didnt ask her again a at around 9:00pm the waitress came over to our table and informed us that they would be closing at 9:30pm and she said it in a rushed town of voice. I stated why didn't you guys tell us that ten minutes ago when we first came inside like any paying customers would of liked to know. she said eat, eat like telling me to go sit back down and eat indirectly. at 9:10pm the hostess came to our table again and told us you have to 9:30 pm until closing she had just told us not even 10 minutes ago. I was getting highly upset by this tine and told her i know and they didnt have to tell us this every minute. the waitress then came back 3 times in the next 8 minutes to see if i was done with my food. I told her to I KNOW WHAT TIME YOU GUYS ARE CLOSNG AND PLEASE STOP HARASSING ME. All the staff was staring at us and waitng for us to leave. we got up at 9:26 pm and i told the hostess how we were treated tonight was horrible and I would NEVER be returning again. The hosted responded good and said byeeeee to us in a condescending manner. I have never in my 33 years of living as paying customer been treated in such a way at an establishment and was f\flabbergasted at the way me and my party was handled. Mind you we spent $50.00 for a party of 3 and didnt even get to eat that much the food was ice cold nor did we enjoy our food at all. I give this restaurant 5 thumbs down. and do not recommend anyone to eat here.

I went again and now realize the food isnot bad , especially the seafood dishes, crabs, crab legs, oysters, large shrimp, egg rolls , spare ribs. wait for the food to come out fresh before taking and if you ask they will restock crab legs and other dishes. so for the price during the week and the 1.50 coupon you can get A GREAT DEAL. just overlook the depressing atmosphere it needs to fefurbished but the food is better than most if you watch your selection , sushi bar is terrible.

As far as Chinese Buffets go this one was very good! Ate there yesterday for my Father's birthday. He requested the place as one of his favorites. The food was fresh and was being rotated often. The roast beef carving station was a popular hit at our table! My husband enjoyed the sushi also. They had options for kids including chicken nuggets and fries. Service was friendly and waitress was prompt in clearing our plates and refilling drinks. We enjoyed lunch for $7.99 on a Saturday afternoon.

We called ahead to inquire about the sushi selection and were told "he can make anything you want." When we arrived, the selection was warmed over, "he" was nowhere to be found, and there was also no one behind the counter to freshen up anything or cut any meats. Not once did I see ANYONE freshen up the food. The Chinese selections were horrible. General's chicken was barely edible. There was a small selection of dim sum, most of which was inedible. The only bright spot was the service. Our waiter was friendly and always around to clear plates or refill drinks. Other than that, horrible.

This is the place to head to for long, interrupted tea drinking and talking with friends. Of course, the tea comes in the price of the buffet, whether you chose to eat or not. The servers come by and ask if you want fresh tea. Nice touch. The name may be New China, but the atmosphere definitely reminds me of Old China, Asian tea houses to be exact. Just ask to be seated in the back rooms. You will have your privacy. Foodwise, for nibbles or definite eats, the selection cannot be matched for either price point or tastiness. Cold items, warm items, then sweets. Oh yes, sushi presents itself, though one wonders why. Another factoid: during the aftermath of hurricane Jeanne, when most of the county remained locked shut, New China opened! I ate there with opened doors and floor fans on. Love it, and you will too.

I WOULD GIVE THIS PLACE NEGATIVE STARS IF I COULD. Sushi was warm, and flies were all over the place. We were just seated with our plates when SEVERAL LARGE COCKROACHES crawled up the wall next to us. Furious, we called a manager who squashed the bugs amd told us "it happen," and if we didn't pay she would call the police even though we hadn't even touched the food. She showed us a piece of paper saying the place had been sprayed, which basically means nothing if there are still roaches that size in your dining room. She would not allow us to leave and physically blocked the door, but did give us 20% off our bill. Gee thanks. Upon leaving I notified the heath department and the BBB. A truly awful experience.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
