Hot and Ready my ass! I haven't been to a Little Ceasars in about 20 years, and now I know why. I arrived at about 5:20 on a Saturday afternoon and upon walking in, I saw people sitting around waiting for pizzas. Not a good sign when your whole business premise is based on immediacy. I placed my order for a deep dish cheese and large pepperoni, both of which are supposed to be "Hot and Ready" between 4 and 8pm, at 5:27. Since I ordered two pizzas, and the deep dish wasn't ready, I was told "Give us 5-10 minutes". As I was waiting for my pizzas, I began to notice a disturbing trend: people would walk in, order one pepperoni or one deep dish cheese, pay for said pizza, and walk out lickety split. After watching this for over 15 minutes, I decided to speak up. The meth-mouthed guy on the register repeated "Another 5 minutes". After 25 minutes I stepped in again and caused a small scene. I am as likely to create an outburst and uncomfortable situation as Bill Belichick is to inflate footballs to the correct pressures. Needless to say, I walked out with my pizzas at 6:01, more than 30 minutes after ordering. The sad thing is, after getting home and tasting the pizzas, they were pretty good. For $5 and $8, the taste was above par for the price. However, I won't be back to this Little Ceasars, and highly doubt I will visit another one within the next 20 years.
