I love coming here to eat Tri-Fongo (not mofongo) which is a typical Puerto Rican dish. Green plantain, yuca and yellow plantains mix together with pork garlic sauce OMG!! It is not on the menu but they have it! The most delicious dish close to home!!! You have to try it!!!

The only reason I gave them a a rating of two stars is for the poor service quality on the weekend. The night crew look so bland and unfocused. Lately it seems like it takes them forever to get to us. Our waitress took more than 10 minutes to give me WATER. Not to mention she passed our way several times. I like coming here because it is a nice place to dance. Even though the DJ could mix up his selections a lot better. It's always 5 reggeaton followed by 5 merengue , 5 bachata and 5 salsa, then repeat. Not really keeping the crowd on edge.

Actually a beautiful restaurant inside and the staff Is friendly. The food was "ok" ... I would go back again and try something different. I don't think they get many gringoes in there :)

The left side is a Dominican restaurant, and the right side is a bar and dance floor. CocoCabana is a great place to dance to bachata, merengue, and salsa, with a touch of reggaeton. One night recently the DJ played "Bailando" by Enrique Iglesias. That song got my wife dancing really hot. The good news is, entrance is free when the DJ is present, and it's smoke-free. The bad news is, they charge $10 per person cover when there is a live band, so it's $20 for my wife and me. I prefer when they have the DJ because more people get up and dance, and it's free. One Saturday night in October I was there when a live band was playing, and the dance floor was empty. They need to update their web site and Facebook page to include all upcoming events so the public can know which nights will have a DJ and which nights will have a live band (which is probably about 2 or 3 times Saturday nights per month). The best time to dance is between 11:30 pm and 1:00 am on Saturday nights. The dance floor is just the right size, and they have awesome multi-colored light beams that shine through artificial smoke. Safe free parking in a good area near 10th Avenue and Jog road. Nice mixture of ages on the dance floor, everybody having a good time.

First time here! We came on a sunday, with a group of 5 people. Pretty legit Hispanic food. The majority of people here were Hispanic but everyone encourages dancing! DJ kept us on our feet, and if you didn't know how to do a little bachata or salsa there were plenty to show you the way!

I've been here to dance at night during weekends and it's usually not too crowed unless they have a band or groups, not very well known bands, Spanish music of course, you have to pay entrance when there are and the bottled water costs $3.00 btw. Every time I've been here the servers look like they want to die! They look bored out of their minds even though there is lively music playing. The only reason I'm giving this place 2 stars is because I love to dance and it puts me in a good mood to do so but honestly the last few times I have been here I have left mad or disappointed. Just the other night I needed to leave in a hurry and he wouldn't bring the check, I waited for 10 mis - and then I told him (Ronald) that next time I would just leave without paying and he said to me that he was busy! BUSY, in the rudest manner. I work in a restaurant myself and this place wasn't even that full for him to be SO BUSY, like swiping a card was SO time consuming. As for the food I can't complain. But the night time servers should really take a dose of smile because you're truly killing the mood in the whole atmosphere...we know your life sucks as a server, I know myself, but the key to being a good server is not showing the misery.

Authentic Food, atmosphere and service. . .The place is tucked away in a strip mall, so at first you may be hesitant, but when you open the door, you are transformed into a little slice of caribbean heaven. The food is fresh, and flavorful, the staff is attentive and timely and the owner goes to every table to make sure you feel welcomed. dancing and Music on the weekends. . .BONUS!!!. . .hurry up and get some.

Excellent food, great atmosphere. Friendly service. The owner makes rounds to ensure service and food meets or exceeds your expectations. Highly recommended!
