Like Kyle said, this is totally old Florida. Hung out here on a Sunday afternoon and it's definitely populated by locals who know what kickass place this is to hang out. I guess it used to be called ABT for Alafia Bait & Tackle. Didn't think about ordering food but I think they only had snacks. Didn't see a kitchen. The beer selection was fine and we hung out on picnic tables overlooking the Alafia, watching people jetskiing and boating by. Definitely stop by here if you're adventurous. It's totally chill and definitely a nice place to hang out.

"Alright! Guinness in a can! What? no glasses?!? You want me to pour Guinness into a small plastic cup? It doesn't work that way!" That was after being ignored by 3 bar staff in the main bar for over 10 minutes with no other customers at the bar. This place should be a regular stop for me. But it won't be.

Dirty, disgusting, thieves work here. I used my CC to buy a pitcher of beer for $8 on March 11th. I forgot my card there but a new one had just come in the mail so I activated it and went on with my day. Lo and behold, 7 weeks later $976.35 of fraudulent charges were put on my card over the course of 5 weeks. Thankfully my bank has refunded the charges. Dixie Dockside you better watch out! We are going to prosecute you to the fullest extent of the law!

this is a must see renovations. they took out the wall in the middle to expand. they have new tvs ,new extended bar outside, new doors, new jukebox, new chairs, and great prices. $14 for a bucket of 6 bud... its a relaxing place to drink on the water!! now open till 1 am during the week . they also have bands on the weekend....go and have fun i did

The perfect stop for a mid-day brew, we stumbled upon Dixie's when cruising down the river over the weekend. Our waitress, Tammy, couldn't have been any friendlier. Prices were reasonable (4 drafts for $10), but was semi-surprised that they didn't have food (other than chips, peanuts, etc). They had some live music starting, but we didn't have time to stick around and enjoy it. I'd call this more of a bait shop than a restaurant, however I'd be more than willing to stop here again. Check it out if you're in the area, it's got a very "authentic Old Florida" vibe going on - and if that's your scene, this could be your new spot.
