We walked in to find a filthy restaurant- every table was dirty, and there was only one server. We were afraid to stay so we quickly left.

Excellent food and great price. It's a small place where the locals go. They have a perfect diner menu. The fish was cooked perfectly and the hot sandwiches were excellent. We will be going back. Service was good.

We had breakfast with a group of 12 on Sunday morning. Everything was fantastic from the service to the food. We will definitely go again when we are in the area.

Amazing! We came in from Indiana to visit my grandparents and stumbled onto this place. Everyone was very friendly. The food was great. I had the Crab Benedict and my boyfriend had the Meatlovers omelet. Don't skip on the pancake and home fries and at $1.99 for a side there's no reason not to order them! We will always come back when visiting Engelwood.

Went for breakfast last week. The place definitely has a charm about it, but the best I can say for breakfast was that it was just OK. My wife had an omelet with mushrooms, spinach and cheese and the good news is there were lots of goodies inside. The bad news is it was one of those omelets made on a grill, not in an omelet pan so it was flat rather than fluffy. It seemed to be made from premixed eggs in a carton, not with 'fresh' eggs... though that is an impression, not a fact. I had the standard eggs, hash browns, sausage, toast. And they were OK, though the portion of has browns was paltry and the toast was below average. The funny thing is the toast was what brought us in. Somewhere my wife read they made their own bread... hard to imagine. Maybe if when Hostess went bankrupt these people hired one of their bakers, that might explain it. But this bread could have been bought at any grocery store. And breakfast was $17 and change. Not worth that money, there are better options. For this price (or less) I would take Food is Love or Spinnakers. For a cheap breakfast, I would go to Good Times. But if you like the character, this one is your place. Maybe dinner would be better... (I would give it an extra half star for that, but it is not worth a whole star to me)

Great seafood platter. I had it grilled , to perfection. Great price and friendly service. Locals must keep it a secret.

Lovely place with great breakfast and friendly waiataff. The crab omelet with hollondaise sauce was amazing. Next time I'm in town I will be back!
