We have had many very good lunches and dinners ay Mango Bistro since they opened several years ago on Dearborn Street in Englewood. The atmosphere is a fun and quirky euro-chic, and the food is freshly prepared and very tasty. The service is very good and has continued to be so as the restaurant has become more popular and busy. There is entertainment on Saturday evenings, and when the weather is nice, it is great fun to eat at one of the outside tables. The last time we ate dinner there, we arrived early, and were treated to a two for one wine special. I had a delicious Pinot Grigio that our server said was one of the house wines. Along with a salmon appetizer that was very flavorful and nicely presented, I had a really scrumptious crepe filled with eggplant, tomato, and cheeses. Although Mango Bistro has increased its prices for entrees from the early days, it is still very reasonable and remains a good value. It is great to have Mango Bistro in town, and it has become our favorite local eatery!

One of my favorite place to go for lunch or a weekend dinner. Energy filled atmosphere, great entertainment on the weekends, gets everyone on the dance floor. The couple who own this establishment are wonderful and very customer oriented. Excellent wine selection, great salads with the freshest ingredients, the best lobster bisque around which is a staple on their menu. When they have their homemade mushroom soup it's to die for and their crêpes are out of this world.

Very casual place for dinner but very nice. Good service with an attentive owner. Red sangria was very fruity but not too sweet, quite good. Crepe special was tasty and a very different experience. Would return again.

Sent there by a local, we found this place to be great. The crab chowder was delicious. Very nice sandwiches and they have gluten free wraps and bread. Excellent teas Very nice porch to enjoy the day.

Englewood subjective, but this place is fantastic. Something truely different in the area with perfectly executed food that does something to stand out! Its well prepared, the staff is cool, they have a good wine list. If you dont have blue hair, you are tired of every italian place in the area, you should go here. No regrets about it!

The Riviera Crepe was well prepared. Lobster Bisk was great. All dinner options seemed a bit overpriced though. There should be some more variety with a better price range in my opinion on the dinner menu.

Nice place for lunch. Pretty extensive menu for a bistro. Be sure to check the menu online as the selections are unique, but it's hard not to find something to suit everyone's taste. They even have a kids menu. Service was great and food was well prepared. The black and blue pretzel sandwich was very good. The lobster bisque was ok. Smoothies were delicious.

Great atmosphere and great service. The food is so so good. I wish I had had the room to eat more. I got the lobster wrap and my fiancé had the warm Hawaiian lobster roll. The lobster/seafood salad was incredible. Really. Mine was cold in a wrap but my fiancé had it on a sandwich on warm pineapple bread. I had a bite and it was honestly the best sandwich I've ever had. We sat outside and it was nicely shaded and the atmosphere was lovely. The staff were kind and eager to help. Great experience. Will definitely be back.

4 of us for lunch to a very crowded cafe. Seating available was inside unless you wait. Best deals are 1/2 sandwich and soup the whole sandwich and bisque is pricey. The lobster bisque is my all time favorite and alone worth the trip. The sandwiches and wraps are all outstanding. Creative ingredients like apple, Brie , pretzel rolls, wraps, special corn chips etc. even the variety of ice teas and their quality is unusual. Highly recommended for lunch.

My husband and I went for lunch. It was our first visit. Fantastic little place on Dearborn St. Service was great - she was very friendly. Food was fresh. We'll definitely go back!

The food is fresh & scrumptious, and the atmosphere is artsy and inviting. I'd recommend Mango Bistro to anyone in the Englewood area.

We don't normally eat out at lunch when we're away from home but saw this place yesterday when we were in Englewood and it was crowded. So today we were close and stopped by just as the lunch crowd was beginning to arrive. Perfect timing. Got seated right away. The menu is interesting. Lots of salads, wraps and crepes. I ordered the "wrap special" as a combo with tomato basil soup. My wife had the Baja mango wrap. The soup was excellent. Hot (a real turnoff for me is lukewarm soup) and flavorful. It had (dried) basil and cream (?) drizzled on top. Don't know if it's home made/don't care. It was really good. The wrap was chicken, spinach, cheese and bacon. Totally satisfactory and tasty. Glad I got the soup. A full wrap would have been too much. My wife raved about her wrap. It had shrimp, mango and rice with a mango sauce. The wraps also came with a generous portion of whole grain chips which were nice to sprinkle on the soup or eat alone. Overall, this place is a winner and I recommend it. One note - check the hours. Only open till 3 except for Fri & Sat (till 9). Closed Sunday.

We had breakfast here during a visit to the Englewood Farmers Market. The coffee is great...bold and not wimpy. The food is good too. I had the New Yorker; this was a big bagel with a huge amount of smoked salmon, along with onions, capers, tomatoes and sliced cucumbers. It was a huge serving, easily big enough to share. There is seating inside and on the patio. The patio was very nice, and there are plastic roll down wind screens for cool breezy days, and a patio heater. The waitress was super nice, and just the right amount of attentive. We will definitely be back.

Great little place with healthy food and gluten free options. Everything we've ever ordered here has been great. We often sit on the patio with our dog and it feels like we're on key west. It's a wonderfully relaxing lunch escape for us.

Great little spot to stop for lunch on the patio. Recommend getting a half wrap and salad/soup. They also make some of the best coconut cream pie and key lime pie I've had in a while. The service is really efficient and the tables turned regularly, so I wouldn't go there expecting a leisurely meal. To comment on a negative review of their lobster bisque: generally, a bisque is a puree/extraction of shellfish, and is not supposed to contain big chunks of seafood. Next time try ordering chowder or bouillabaisse, if you can find it.

Great food, great music, great folks, great fun. Have been here multiple times and always an enjoyable experience. Owners interrelate with guests to make you feel like family.

I had the lunch special which is half a sandwich on a pretzel roll and I had a cup of the lobster bisque with it. They offer iced green tea, regular tea and mango flavored tea. I had the mango flavored tea and my husband had the regular tea and both were wonderful. It was fantastic and I can't wait to go back.

One of the best restaurants in Englewood, Fl. I ordered the Mango Chipotle wrap. It came with a fresh side of fruit and chips. I also ordered the blended chai. It was too icy, so the waitress gave me a better one in a larger cup. Overall, the meal was delicious and so was the blended chai.

My wife and I were there for lunch two weeks ago and thoroughly enjoyed the chicken and the shrimp sandwiches. Great iced tea also. We will be back.

Do not understand the bad reviews. We ordered take out on two Thursdays as we sell pottery at the Englewood art market and the food was really good. Had lobster bisque both weeks, the Cuban was good and the wrap was good too. We will certainly become regular customers

I should have looked at Yelp. Not that this place was terrible, it just wasn't what we had hoped. It was the first place we ate on our short trip. We each had the Lobster Bisque, which had a pretty generic flavor but lacked in actual lobster. Would I eat it again? Of course, but I wouldn't make my lunch choice just for this. We also had a pretzel roll (smaller than you expect) and a couple salads that were fairly nondescript. I would go back if I needed to, but there are other local places that are much better.

Coffee is great and the coconut pie is amazing! My husband had the French mushroom soup and loved it.

This place has some of the greatest lobster bisque I have ever eaten. Mango is a funky/arty gem. In the heart of cool old Englewood, Mango stands apart. The menu for breakfast and lunch is vast. I have had the breakfast crepes and they blew my mind. However, my favorite is the lunch combo made up of a cup of the bisque and a half sandwich made on their pretzel bread. This bread tastes like a delicious soft pretzel and is a killer. I have been tempted by the grilled cheese brie sandwich, buy that pretzel always wins in the end. Staff is very nice, with many longtermers. The owner is also very present, which keeps quality high

Came here for lunch during an arts and crafts show, recommended to us by friends. We loved the food and the casual/friendly ambiance, and will definitely return. We sat outside on the patio. I enjoyed the pairing of soup and panini. I had the lobster bisque with the milano panini and both were great. My dining companion had the cuban pulled pork sandwich. We saw at least a dozen other menu items we want to try and can't wait to do so.

This is one of our favorite places to go. Their lobster bisque is very good, and you have to finish off with their version of key lime pie! Their smoothies are also very good. This is the only place my husband will order a smoothie! I also love the iced chai latte. MY son in law had the mango iced tea and was pleased with it. They also have plastic cups that biodegrade. They are right next to the farmer's market on Thursday mornings in Englewood.

The lobster bisque was awesome, the service was good, and the live music with dinner doens't hurt either. :) The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because I thought some of the menu items were overpriced (wraps at $15?). But all our food was delicious and all in all, we loved the place. A great find in Englewood.

Been there twice on this trip to Florida. Great service, great food, and great location. Get the lobster bisque, it is excellent. We took our dogs both times, they give them a bowl of water and welcome them to the patio. Fantastic place!

probably the best place to eat lunch and dinner on Dearborn St. A Key West kinda place with vegetarian options along with shrimp and other healthy stuff. They have liquor too and often live music around cocktail hour.

Excellent restaurant, and two or more nights they have jazz, live. We have been there two times. One for lunch. We ordered a sandwich of shrimp, roll up type, that was grilled and excellent. We both had the best lobster bisque we've ever had [and we live in Cape Cod]. Wine is a full glass, and $5., nice not to get screwed for $8-$10 for a 1/2 glass. This place is all about the customers. It's hippy like, and professional. I don't remember what our friends ate, but all agreed this place is for real. They are in the historic area of Englewood, and on thursday's there's a good farmers market next door. I'm not sure of their hours. Customers are friendly, chatty and nice.

My first review of a place I really did not care for... Nice atmosphere but over rated and over priced... at least under value. Went for lunch about 1:00 on a weekday. Waited a few minutes for an outside seat. Pretty much ignored by the staff until a table opened up. Once seated we were not given menus and had to ask for them. Waitress never checked back on us and I had to request the bill at the end. So service was not good. I had the Palermo pannini with Lobster bisque. The flavor of the bisque was good, but I doubt there was a half teaspoon of lobster in it. My wife's portion was the same way. (Some comfort that VERY few lobsters gave their lives up for the bisque.) Sandwich was hot when it arrived and had good taste, but it was spartan at best. Only enough meat to be recognizable. My wife had the roast beef 'pretzel' sandwich. A little unique, but SMALL... the pretzel was no more than 2 fingers wide and about six inches total with one piece of roast beef on it. This place is definitely not on our "must go back" list. If you just want ambiance, then this might be the place. If you want good food, their are lots of other better options.

LOVE IT! The service staff is courteous and the food delicious. Not run of the mill "expected" food. Love their lobster bisque and paninis. Great for lunch!

The menu is small and tidy. I have had earthstopping light dishes here. I hate to say this but the coffee is my primary draw. The smoothies are outstanding. I had a bowl of lobster bisque that made me want to cry.

Lobster bisque is divine. Good food and wonderful service. Friendly place but can be noisy. May eat outside, too. Love the place!

You must try Mago Bistro on Dearborn and Mango St. in Olde Englewood Village. It is a favorite of the locals including my friends and me. I always get the lobster bisque and salad or 1/2 sandwich. My Northern visitors love to come here for lunch, it is quaint and the food is good. Lunch prices are average for this area. In season it is very popular so you might have to wait for a seat. Be aware of crowds in this area on Thursdays for the farmers market, in the park next door, starting in October til spring.

Saturday night, we had great service, it was almost 5:30 and we were the only ones there. I had a mangolada, frozen drink , icy and refreshing, my husband had a glass of sangria, said I wouldn't have liked it, it was not on the sweet side. He had the seafood crape and I had the vegetarian Mykanos crape. His was delicious, I had a bite, mine had too much goat cheese for my taste, and along with the bitter greens inside, I did not enjoy it at all, the dinners come with salad on the side, and there were dressing choices on the menu, but our server did not ask what we wanted. Mine was overdressed with a vinegar tasting dressing, my husband ate it as he likes lots of dressing.
