When we visit the East Coast, we search for awesome pizza, calzones, and eggplant parmigiana heroes. My wife and I enjoyed a 12" eggplant parmigiana hero and a ricotta and mozzarella calzone. The tomato sauce was perfect and the eggplant was sweet with perfect breading. Even though we were sated with the perfectly prepared New York style fare, we forced ourselves to share a cannoli. Again, the shell and the filling was extraordinary. If this was a regular trip for us, we would soon become frequent customers.

I decided to try the take out pizza and it was impressive compared to the chain store pizza joints and some of the other local Italian restaurants in the area. The ordering process over the phone was pleasant the hostess provided the price and a accurate pick up time. I used the walk up window on the side of the restaurant it was ready when I arrived and piping hot. Plenty of toppings great cheese and a nice crusty thin crust cut into huge slices New York style. I definitely will return and try a few of their other offerings.

I don't know how this place can get good reviews, unless they are only receptive to tourists. I have lived here most of my life and have only been here 3 time. The first time the rude waitress i wrote off as a bad day. Second time I waited far to long for a dry tasteless calazone accompanied by another rude waitress. Today i call in an order for my father and wow, couldn't have revived a nastier person from tone of voice to implying I am stupid. If this was for me i wouldn't have bothered getting it. I am willing to drive the next town over just for a Greek salads if needed. I will note that today when i picked up my order they were not busy, so i can't see how it was a busy frustrated employee.

I agree with many post here. Food is pretty good it's the service that takes away from this place either it's slow or wrong with order or just bad attitude all around.

Great family owned restaurant. Great Pizza, Pasta, Sandwiches, Calzones, Dessert. Everything! Great service and food all around. They have a take out window unlike some other places which is great. I do have to say that Alberto's also has one of the best Philly Cheesesteaks in town. Downside is sometimes the place gets a little too packed sometimes for my liking when I want a nice quiet date night, but they still have fast service even when slammed. From a personal standpoint, I've even had the owner stop to help me when my car broke down on the side of the road. They are good people, and if you don't like something about your meal they will fix it and make you happy. Bottom line... great people... great food. Just a great local Italian place that I would recommend to anyone.

We ordered 2 some garlic knots and poppers. The poppers came out first but took over 13 minutes. Then 15 minutes later the garlic knots came out. The place wasn't very busy and our server treated us like we were gonna be light tippers when we ordered water to drink. She had to be hunted down for refills. The pizza SLICES finally came out 45 minutes later and ALL FOOD WAS SUB PAR. Thin mushy slices. The slices are big so if you do order 2 make sure you are hungry. I don't have anything good to say about our server or the food quality.

Great local Italian food! Soup was delicious as well as the panini. Staff not so pleasant, not interested in making small talk. I would definitely revisit.

Very very POOR POOR service!!!!!!!!!! Food was "ok" at best, wait staff forgot half our order, then messed up our order twice (all the while blaming the kitchen however she never wrote our orders down) then attempted to over-charge us and got into an argument at the counter. Best part - checked our bank statement and they over charged the meal after all! PLEASE STAY AWAY if you appreciate nice food, good customer service and wait staff that is actually helpful.

There should be a Zero stars option. We will never go back. Mediocre food, terrible service. The waitress took our order and never came back- ever. We sat with empty cups watching people around us, that arrived after us, get their food while we still waited. The lady manager was incredibly rude. Terrible restaurant!

Good local Italian. The service is okay but the owner needs to be more friendly. I was in last week and I tried to compliment her on the pizza and she just blew me off. She is always cranky.

Awesome pizza, garlic knots, and Greek salad. A little slow with the service, but that should be expected. It's not like ur going to little ceasers. I will will back the next time I come to Florida.

Great pizza, great Stromboli, good Greek salad (most of the time), ok Caesar salad, mediocre service. Over the years we've eaten here probably 20+ times. We've had great visits, and we've had terrible visits. Most recent time we had a problem with the Greek salad and casually mentioned it to someone who had asked on the way out (an older lady with short black hair). She told us we were crazy and that the salad was fine. I hadn't asked for a refund or replacement or anything but she was so mean and angry. We only (and rarely) get pizza to go now.

This is my all time favorite pizza. I used to live in Edgewater and miss this place but now I make sure I eat at Alberto's every time I visit. The pizzas are huge for the price and I absolutley love the greek salad. I have tried to find a pizza and salad that compare but everything always falls short.
