Dinner and golf outing with the family while visiting St George Island. Kids played golf, while the adults had some beers. Our waitress was really good, considering we were a group of 12 (8 grown-ups and 4 kids), she was all over it. We ordered raw oysters, fried shrimp, fried oysters, fried fish, grilled fish, and more beer. Everything was really good, obviously fresh, and very flavorful. Although most of it was fried, nothing was overly greasy. The draft beer was really good and really cold. Don't be quick to judge this place.....lots of locals showed up while we were having dinner which is an obvious sign of a good place. It doesn't look like much from the outside, but the little golf course kept the kids busy and the food is much better than a lot of places on the island. Give it a try if you're visiting the island.

Great find !!! Brand new patio area complete with 5-6 big screens and Direct tv NFL Sunday ticket. Watch your favorite team. Beer was cold, wings excellent, seafood platter was huge and very tasty. Good service. Relaxed and fun vibe. A must for football fans.

Don't expect much. It is a mini golf combo. The food is typical bar food. Boneless chicken wings were good. Fries - average, nothing amazing. Frog legs - good....Philly Steak -good... BBQ Pork Sandwich - good. Ham & Cheese Sandwich, sucked, didn't melt the cheese and ham was not all that. Service was extremely slow, not overly friendly either. You can do better as far as food in the area. This place occupies the kids so you can drink some beers. That is about all.

OK... I always thought this was just the local Mini Golf AKA Putt-Putt. I was surprised when I rolled up and they had a banner that said "ALL YOU CAN EAT SNOW CRAB EVERY OTHER FRIDAY". I thought to myself that is the craziest thing I have ever heard. Putt-Putt and Snow Crab what planet am I on... Ohh yes we are in Eastpoint, FL just off the bridge from St. George Island on the Forgotten Coast right on the corner of HWY 98. So if you are here on St. George Island the food can be hit or miss. More often a miss than an hit that is for sure. But the Red Pirate was a pleasant surprise. So on to the food. Food: I had the "Peel N Eat Shrimp" $9.95 was perfectly cooked with really good flavor and it was 1/2 lb maybe 3/4 lb. My wife got the "Shrimp Sampler" comes with 2 sides $12.95 and again cooked perfectly. My son got his usual Hamburger $4.95 "Kid's Version and he ate it all. Drinks: OK get this Draft Beer (Bud, Bud Light or Miller Light) $1.00. YES that is correct $1.00 and it was Ice Cold which is kind of hard to come by in these parts in the summer. They have bottle beers as well and all the other usual drinks. Atmosphere: Keep in mind this place is casual. You get plastic silverware and the food comes on plastic plates or baskets. But they have a good sports bar vibe with tons of TVs to keep you entertained. If you "eat" you get a discount on the Mini Golf. Its good fun and with a beer in hand its hard to beat. Waitstaff: The waitress was very nice and we got very good service. The owner was great and she had that fantastic southern charm. I give this place 5 Stars because the food was really good. Don't be freaked out by the Putt-Putt vibe and just go with it... :-) If you like good food give them a try.

Our GPS took us the wrong direction, but so glad I called to get directions. It's in Eastpoint west of the bridge to SGI. I enjoyed the $1 draft beets and very friendly staff. We came for lunch so it was quiet but they have nice tvs for watching games or you can play mini golf...kinda weird but kitschy. The food was unexpectedly good. It's a little divey place but fresh seafood and well prepared. Just like the other reviews, the price is nice and the portion size was good.

Interesting!! So we opted for something a little different and decided to give this place a shot ignoring the outside exterior and going by reviews and the best word I can come up with is interesting.... The women at the front register are by no means nice so be prepared. We were told our table was ready and then the other lady working the front desk sat another party there and when I asked why she said because they were before you. No I'm sorry there was a mix up or anything apologetic. I ordered the snow crab it was good but nothing any different then any of the other local restaurants. The chairs are plastic school chairs from elementary school (not kidding) me being pregnant was not happy about them and neither was my back. We did the miniature golf course afterwards one word TRASH. The course just needs to be torn down and rebuilt. All of the ponds surrounding it are mosquito ridden and don't work carpet is worn and well I can't find anything positive to say. It definitely was a experience and lord knows they were packed for their all you can eat snow crab but at its truly not worth it. The all you can eat snow crab doesn't even come with any sides it just isn't worth it. The plus: the kids loved the $1.00 a game video arcade and the mini golf I for one did not and won't go back. I don't think attaching a bar with a live band and cheep beer to a mini golf course with small children and drunk men is a good idea.

Cool place. Don't let the rough exterior scare you off. I mean, it does kind of look like a place that would show up on Bar Rescue or Restaurant impossible. In spite of this, all 7 of us enjoyed our food and our mini golf. There were a lot of locals here when we walked in; local police, families, etc, which is always a good sign. Everyone in my party ordered some variety of a seafood basket. I got shrimp and scallops which were both fried just right. There wasn't an excessive amount of greasiness to the fried food, which was nice. The TVs were all good quality and had either cartoons or the World Cup depending on where you looked. As for the mini-golf course, it was halfway in between run down and renovated. Some of the holes needed some work, missing part of the green felt for example. We pretended that it was just another obstacle, thus adding to the challenge.

LOVED THIS PLACE! Hidden gem between Apalach & SGI. We took our fresh catch from our fishing trip here. They cooked if up for $1.99/person!!! Yup & it was quite tasty! Sides were good. Stick with the fries & hush puppies and you won't be disappointed. Service was great! We sat in the bar area and there was live music on a Friday night. Family friendly in the bar. Take your catch of the day here!

My wife and i have enjoyed two meals here and plan on coming back every chance we visit the Forgotten Coast. On our latest visit she had the snow crab and I had Flatiron steak and grilled shrimp. Both were excellent. What I love about the Red Pirate is that they don't treat the side dishes as an afterthought. The hush puppies are awesome. Beer and mixed drinks reasonable. Service is so good you'd think you were eating at the home of the waitresses and the lady at the register. They treated us like family. Jim, the owner, has stopped by to talk to us both times. Who cares about how it looks on the outside? Don't people realize some of those are the best places? They have our business as long as we keep coming to SGI.

Good raw oysters, what's wrong with the tea..like colored water. 4 stuffed crab shells were lacking crab flavor, fries we cold and not editable. Salad was not bad. Not a 3 star place to eat,

Wanting to avoid the crowds on the Saturday on the Seafood Festival weekend (Nov 1) in Apalachicola, we opted for this local spot in Eastpoint. As others have commented, it seems like a popular choice for the local Eastpoint folks too, as several obvious regulars and a local EMS pair came in while we were there. The Hut restaurant used to be the locals' hangout, but they are now closed. Service was friendly and prompt. Bottle beer was only $2.50, a bargain from other local spots on SGI and Apalach. Ordered a dozen local Apalachicola oysters on the half shell for an appetizer, and they were shucked fresh since we could hear them opening them in the adjacent food prep area...and they were delicious. My brother ordered a burger with slaw, and I ordered the oyster basket with slaw. The oysters were great, and lightly fried. The cole slaw was way too sweet for my tastes, but the ingredients were fresh. Several college football games were playing on the 6 or 7 large screen TV's in the place, and I can see it being popular on game days. Overall, I would recommend this spot offering good food, good value, and good service.

The food was great, servers kind, and they were able to accommodate my son's food allergies. We didn't play golf, but that's available too. My family was very pleased. All the seafood was great.

Great tasty homemade food. Shrimp and hushpuppies were addictive. My daughter loved the chicken sandwich with cheese fries. Will be back. This is our new stop over on the way to the beach. Very clean establishment. Did I mention they have a mini golf course outside.
