My meal today while tasty, gave me a little anxiety. For starters, lunch was pretty busy. Got there around 12:45 and we were lucky enough to pick up a table cause the place was jammin. We were taken care of by what seemed like owner/manager and she was excellent. Very friendly, very professional and polite...nothing short of my usual experience with the Colombians so I was quite pleased. I ordered a patacon that brought pineapple- You could pick chicken or beef and I opted for the chicken and a lemonade and waited. Waited quite a while before it finally made its way to the table...and when it did it was ginormous. When I took my first bite...it seemed I was chewing forever, and the thought alone made me anxious- I couldn't fathom myself finishing that plate with the amount of chews it would've taken. The thought alone was exhausting and after a while, I just got tired of eating it. It wasn't bad, it wasn't exceptional, but I got bored! Next time, I share this or maybe order something different cause now I know that sadly, I don't have the patience to eat a patacon.

I'll grant three stars for overall good experience with a few hiccups. This was my first time trying out this location and I had a really good experience a few years ago at the Patacon Pisa'o in Kendall. I opted for the Doral location primarily because it was closest to my office and I only had about an hour to run there, eat, and run back. I came here on a Saturday around noon time. The place was quiet (we were one of three filled tables) and by 12:30 the place was packed. AMBIANCE: minimalist, strip-mall store with about 15-20 small tables. Nothing special, but clean space. ETC.: a Colombian colleague recommended that I try the juices/smoothies while visiting this restaurant and so I ordered the Lemonada de Coco. It reminded me of a robust and delicious Thai soup called Tom Kha Gai (coconut, lemongrass, and lime flavors). Very good indeed. Service was slow and confusing, but then I really don't expect a lot more from a Latin American place -- isn't that why it's called "Latin time"? FOOD: this is where I was most disappointed. I am a picky eater, but I always give a place the benefit of the doubt especially when trying something ethnic. I ordered the Build Your Own Patacon and got four toppings: guacamole, shrimp, chicken, and mushroom sauce. All of the flavors were so overbearing and not one complemented each other's flavor/spices. The shrimp, chicken, and guacamole were very fishy (the bad kind of fishy) and I LIKE seafood -- I'm thinking they were all cooked separately, but then coated with a fish sauce or finished in a pan with something fishy? It was upsetting because I usually like to pull apart pieces of the patacon and layer each bite generously with my chosen variety of toppings (similar to tacos). I was forced to eat everything individually with the patacon to dilute the fishiness and the culinary experience just wasn't enjoyable.

Delicioso! Great Colombian food! The restaurant's decor has really changed for the better since I last been here-- awesome job! And the food is still good, especially the patacónes y bandeja Paisa; don't forget to wash those down with a jugo de mora o de maracuya. The food service is also good there too; sat down quickly during dinner time and was brought the food almost immediately.

Some of the best Colombian food in Miami hands down!!!

Excellent food, just as eating at some high end family cuisine in Colombia. Ask for limonada de coco to drink!

Love this place! Generious portions, fresh, homemade Colombian food. This is as good as it gets. The service is quick and polite and the decor is very authentic. There's a nice, family vibe here and it's a great place for lunch or dinner. I love coming here for one of the bandeja paisas, which lets you sample a little bit of everything: cheese, chicharon, steak, arepa, rice, you name it! Their natural juices are excellent too. Fresh and delicious!

Had carne encebollada. Eight bucks. Nice portion. Topped it off with fresh passionfruit juice. There goes my diet.

The food at this place is beyond great! Everything we ordered was amazing. Patacon, and limonada de coco were my favorites. /the only reason why I give it a three star is because the service is terrible. The waiters were nice but slow, and we had many of them which was confusing, I wasn't sure who to ask for things. This place would get a 5 star if service was clean. anyways I will be coming back for more!

This place is always packed because the food is sooooo good!!! Their soups are my favorite thing to have! The one with shrimps and scallops is full of so much flavor :) Definitely try this place for authentic Colombian food Cons about the place is that it takes a while to get your order.

It takes a lot for me to give 5 stars. This place is amazing. Traveled to Miami for work and found this place by making a wrong turn. The beef empanadas were delicious, none like I ever have had. For my main dish I had the Sobrebarriga A La Criolla - Beef Skirt Stew, Rice, potatoes, yucca, sweet plantations. Oh...and fresh home made Guava juice. Amazing!!

Horrible service!! My boyfriend and I came on a Sunday. It took 45 min to get an appetizer of shrimp and fries. Then another 20 min of waiting on our food only to find out they didn't have any tostones!!!! Seriously.... Food is good, that is the only reason for the 2 stars. But when a couple walks in 30 min after you have been waiting...and gets their food before you from the same waitress.... Not cool. Will not be back because of the service. :/

I've had Colombian food at friends homes, but never at a restaurant. The beef empanada was hot and delicious. Ordered the platano, which is a plantain that is rolled and flattened and then fried. For toppings I got shredded beef, guacamole and cheese. It was massive and delicious. They don't make the dessert in house, but I ordered the coconut flan which was good. Service is ok. Not super friendly but perfectly adequate. Definitely recommend!

Today a bunch of us ordered lunch. Colombian food friday. I've previously ordered from here, always got the Ajiaco! Which is amazing and is the only reason this place is getting 4 stars. I'm not Colombian but I LOVE a good Ajiaco. Almost obsessed. But today decided to change it up and get a patacon. Must say it looked amazing on the website but when the food arrived I was very disappointed and so were the rest of the ladies. The patacon was sooooo hard, it even hit my coworker in the eye when she bit it. Sad I did not enjoy my meal.... I wanted so badly to like it but it was soooo hard to eat..... I will not be ordering patacon from here again. Next time I will go with my usual and get Ajiaco.

Great food. Juices are delicious, we had the coconut and pineapple. The servers were very attentive even though the place was packed.

This was my first time here. I ordered to go the Churrasco (skirt) steak with rice and beans. I also ordered Patacon pisao combo with 3 items; chicken, carne (beef ) and beans. The Patacon pisao was tasty with the chicken and beef. The churrasco was not so good. It had no taste whatsoever. I ordered the steak well done and it was still pink on the inside. The rice was not tasty at all. I don't see any reason to return here. I have to mention the service was outstanding.

This was my first time eatuing at this type of restaurant so i wasnt sure what i was doing/ordering. I went with the Bandeja Paisa Regular and it was pretty bomb!! Steak, RIce, fried egg, arepa, beans, and an avocado.. I was really full.. lol If im ever in the area, ill make it a point to stop in.

La comida es muy rica pero los frijoles y el chicharron de la bandeja paisa demaciado pequeños, senti q me habian dado tamaño para bebes. El patacon si estu o delicioso y la salsa de los camarones fue la mejor.

Its a small colombian restaurant with good dish selection and variety. They specialize in the smashed plantain, the carb, and then you add proteins to that (chicken, beef, etc). The patacon dishes are big enough to share. They have excellent natural juices, fairly priced ($2-3); passion, lemon, coconut, at least 8-10 flavors. They have all colombian traditional dishes (calentado, paisa, ajiaco, sobrebarriga etc); they get really busy at lunch and are closed sundays

    (4)
  • German L.

The Food was ok not what I expected I order the bandeja paisa especial doest taste like really Colombia food for that price is not worth it the Service suck The waiter she to busy watching TV and they forget to taker the customers. I'm sure I will never come back again.

I am not in any way qualified to rate the authenticity of this place's Colombian cuisine. But based on the full house of Colombians, this little cafe in a strip mall in Doral is the closest thing to Bogota. Not sure what I ate; but everyone around me had plates loaded high with delicious piles of meat, rice and guacamole. Service was kind enough to not charge me for a fig and cheese desert I didn't like. And didn't rush me through a long lunch. The drinks look like fun concoctions of exotic fruit. Give this place a try for an alternative to the arroz con pollo places.

This place is always jam packed and for good reason If you like food you will love this place. It is truly the best Latin restaurant in the history of the world. The natural juices are magically delicious. You gotta try the maricuya which is the passion fruit juice. Its like drinking the sweat of an angel. Seriously they are great, more like smoothies than juice but no complaints here. If only they dropped a shot of tequilla in them hmm... The food is great. Healthy sized portions with a lot of flavor. I've been there about 6 times and I keep ordering the carne asada because it is so delicious that I have developed an irrational fear of eating anything else. Like if I eat something else I might come back maybe they will be out of carne asada? The decor is nice. Nothing special but I believe it adds to the appeal. The whole place has a truly authentic feel. Like you have left the country. If they could have one of these on the beach that served real "drinks" it would be a gold mine. I highly recommend this place for anyone who needs food to survive.

The best Colombian food, EVER! Truly one of my favorite places that I miss when I am away. All the locations are decorated with Colombian decor, the service is always great, and the food is well priced and delicious. Must haves: At least 2 empanada colombiana per person Mojarra Frita - Mojarra entera acompañada por yuca, tostones y ensalada Bandeja Paisa con carne asada - Carne asada, arroz blanco, fríjoles, plátanos maduros, huevo, chicharrón y arepa Carne con Champignones - Arroz, Ensalada y Maduros Bistec A Caballo - Arroz, Ensalada y Maduros Anything and everything is great. Once you become a regular, they treat you like family.

My first visit to Miami and my first taste of Colombian food. I had the bandeja paiso regular and it was fantastic! The guava juice was like a smoothie, but with just the right amount of sweetness. The plantain was delicious and so was the avocado. The service was great, even though they were so busy. I would come here again.

Stopped over for one night before our cruise and stayed across the street. We decided to try the place. Excellent choice! The food was awesome! The food seems really fresh and nicely prepared. The price of the food matched the quality and amount. The restaurant is small and was full the while time. Didn't even have room for dessert. I would go back again anytime!

The servers didn't speak english at all and actually encouraged me to practice my spanish... I ordered the Baby Churrasco to be "medium rare" and it came out rare.... I ask them to cook it longer and it took another 15-20 minutes before it came. When it came out my friends were already done eating and my steak was burnt... I was so hungry I ate it anyways while my friends waited for me to finish. Then when I got the bill there was already a gratuity charge of 15%. (I usually always give 20% no matter what but since the waiter never informed us of the charge and it was specified no where on the menu I just decided no to provide any other additional tip). My party was only a total of 3 people including me so in my mind I thought this was ridiculous. Anyways at this point I just wanted to leave so I paid and decided that I'm never going back.

This place is legit! It doesn't look like much from the outside, but it's well worth the try. The empanadas made with the masa shell are super crispy and lovely. The mint-pineapple drink was delicious; every table should get the empanadas and mint-pineapple drink. I've never had patacon before, but I'm in love with it now. It tastes just like potato, and it's super crispy. I wish I had ordered the 6 combination topping on it. We also ordered the special combo plate, with beef, crispy pork, plantains, beans, and rice. The crispy pork (lechon) was amazing! Most place overfry their pork and it's super hard. This place was spot-on. Overall, loved it. Will be back again since we come to Miami every year.

The Food is In tremendous quantity and not expensive at all.. It is very authentic and isn't just a plate of grease. Only issue is that there is a limited menu.

Mmmmmmmm... Colombian food at its best. El Patacon is named after its main dish. A green plaintain fried, smashed thin and fried again. To this they offer toppings of everything from shredded beef, to chicken with onions (pollo encebollado), absolutely fantastic. This dish is best eaten there, not in delivery because like any fried food it must be consumed immediately. Their empanadas are the best COLOMBIAN empanadas in Miami. By far.

I enjoy Colombian food, Bandeja Paisa is one of the best dishes ever created. I rarely request Colombian food so of course the hubs jumped the minute I suggested it to find a restaurant. Luckily, we came upon this little treasure. The service is not their most outstanding feature but the food is good. I found the meat was good quality although my steak could have been a bit thicker for the Bandeja. The tostones were just like I like them, not too think and cooked the entire way through. The offerings were that of most traditional Colombian restaurants including the sods and desserts. They have great specials and a wide variety of menu choices. This place is very popular as there were only a few small tables unoccupied upon our arrival and throughout our meal. There were many Colombians dining there which is always a great sign the food is good and may be authentic. We enjoyed the meal, may dine here again if when we visit the area. Definitely satisfied the craving.

One of the Top 2 Colombian restaurant in the area, dare not say Miami as there are plenty, but they are right up there. Their patacones are always on point, never too soft and always crunchy con the edges. Their Bandeja it's pretty good, but not better than their patacones. I recommend accompanying it with a couple of empanadas and a passion fruit juice; ask for it with milk instead of water.

The food might be great. But the service sucks. I call for pick up at 2 I got there at 3:25 and guess what???? Sorry y or order is not ready. You have to wait. I drove for an hour from coral springs to miami and they don't have a patacon with meat ready after 90 minutes. Wow. Then they complain for the típs.

I love patacones. They used to be my favorite treat as a kid. And the patacones at Patacon are out of this world! Flavor is not too different from what I'm used to but the size is absolutely crazy. Seriously, the patacones are literally twice the size of my face. We dropped by for a small snack as we headed back home to Weston from South Beach. I had not had patacones in a while so thought, hey, patacones are always great treats, so this place seemed perfect for a quick meal. Oh how misguided I was... We ordered some empanadas and two patacon dishes: the Sierra Nevada and the Antioqueno. The empanada was great; very different from any other empanada I had eaten until that day since the empanadas here were fried. The outer shell was crunchy and meat inside was very tasty. Soon after we finished our empanadas, two huge plates of food were brought to us on a big tray. My jaw dropped the moment I saw our patacones. These patacones were so big in size that I couldn't believe they were the dishes I had ordered. I asked the server how many plantains were used to make these and he said 3. THREE plantains for one huge patacon cake. DAMN. Still in shock, I went on to munch on the gigantic patacon. They tasted fine, just like the usual patacon and the toppings of both dishes were great. Personally, I enjoyed the Antioqueno a little more because I thought the Sierra Nevada was a little too much cheese for my taste. Loved the mix of rice, beans, and meat on the Antioqueno. After this meal, my family and I were so stuffed we couldn't breathe. And no, we had not finished the patacones. I actually don't know anyone that would be able to eat 3 whole plantains in one seating. It was quite a sight to see those huge patacones and I don't think I'll be able to forget them. Ever.

This place is really great. Its hidden in a little plaza in the middle of Doral where there really isn't much else around, But if you are lucky enough to find it, definetely stop in, or take-out. The food is so good, my favorite is the grilled chicken smoothered in a creamy mushroom sauce served with "patacon," which is basically a very thin fried banana, rice, and salad. But almost everything here is pretty delicious. Best of all the prices are amazing for the amount and quality of food you get.

If you want awesome Colombian food, come here. Located in a strip mall in the heart of Central America (Doral), this is where the Colombians come to eat. If you don't speak Spanish, definitely bring a friend that does since even the menus are in Spanish. Patacon has all of the usual delicious Colombian favorites - empanadas, chicharrones, sancohco, and my favorite - Bandeja paisa. However as sacrilegious as it sounds there is a dish here that is even BETTER than the Bandeja. If you come here, then definitely order the dish the restaurant is named for - the PATACON. A Patacon is essentially a large plantain pancake not dissimilar to tostones. On top of the Patacon you can order several toppings such as grilled chicken or steak & onions, shrimp in white sauce, mozzarella and chicken, and chicken and pineapple. However, I always order the "Combination" which comes with pork, beef, and shrimp along with a couple of different sauces. QUE RICO!!!! The portions are HUGE so you can definitely share one between two people if you order a couple of empanadas as well. The best part? The majority of the menu is under $10!! Head to Patacon if you want a true taste of Colombia - and you don't even need a passport!

Food was great. Empanadas ...Great. Carne Asada, Carne Creole and the breaded plank steak....all great. The service was lousy. We got a guy who could have cared less about serving us. Had to call for drink refills, etc. We wondered amongst ourselves how could a server be so bad and then we found out the answer. They automatically add a 15% gratuity on your bill and also have a line for a tip in case you didn't notice they already charged a tip. I understand and support a mandatory gratuity for large parties. Three persons is not a large party. When your tip is automatically going to be added, there is no incentive to provide good service to your guest......and this guy didn't. Won't be returning any time soon.

Terrible service! Had like 3 different waiters, when ordering they waitress didn't even look at us. Small portions, enpanadas were burnt, and bandeja paisa with no chorizo, that's not a real bandeja paisa. Never again. So disappointed.

This little Colombian restaurant in the Doral is AAaaaaaa-OK. They have decent lunch specials of the day. What they are known for as the name calls it is their flatten large green plantain served with you choice of meats and sauces - OH...and CHEESE! Generously... The empanadas are good, but my only complaint is that they have a lot more potato and every little meat, but besides the point they are very fresh and tasty with some hot sauce. My suggestions...come early for lunch before the crowd sets in and leave with a happy tummy.

i used to eat here more often because i work right next to this place and the food was always really good. my only complaint was that it was a bit too cramped. i visited this establishment today and now i have more than one complaint. the waitress took our order and got us our drinks relatively quickly. we got our empanadas like 10 minutes later. not too shabby. then i started noticing that all the other tables around us that got sat were already eating their entrees and i started asking questions. i asked them to the person i was sitting with, naturally, because no one else would really pay attention to me. eventually the manager came by and asked me if i'd like my bill. i said now then she walked away and said, 'tu comida.' but i wasn't sure if she was walking away satisified that she had cracked the code or because she was going to go check on my food. eventually our waitress emerged from her sabbatical and i asked her if she had any predictions on when our food my possibly be ready and she said she'd check. maybe ten minutes later we got one dish then a few minutes later i got mine. my patacon was burnt to a crisp. there were random lettuce leaves thrown on it, like napkins at a greek tavern, and it just wasn't very good. i ate it because i was starving. i guess at some point between when i stopped going here and today they decided on a strict 'we hate our customers, also FYAD' policy. this policy also includes refusal to refill my water glass BECAUSE ONE IS ENOUGH. RAAAWWWRRRRR. the other waitresses seemed to have their shit together, so i assume this is an isolated event but it doesn't take away that it still happened to me. the manager could have turned this around at any given moment but just kind of refused to deal with me. when the waitress gave me the bill she said she was sorry for the service but it was crazy. how she knew what was going on in that restaurant without actually being there is beyond me and a question i will take with me to the mausoleum. so, yeah. suck it, customers.

Every so often I have to satisfy my craving for patacon. I just love the way they take a toston and flatten out practically the entire banana and fry it so that it's extra crispy and the size of your plate. I tend to get guacamole, chicharrones, and shrimp as sides to eat with my patacon. It's a small location but the they are always friendly, fast, and the food is great. The bandeja paisa is what my spouse tends to get and he loves it as well. Their empanadas are a great starter.

Went there for lunch and it was packed! My friend had been craving a 'bandeja paisa' so I ordered one too. Another friend had a salad and anither the patacon with 4 combinations. My bandeja paisa was really good. The beans were cooked perfectly and so was the carne asada. The egg was not cooked the way I normally eat it, but it was still ok. The salad was just lettuce, chicken, croutons and dressing absolutely nothing special or different. The patacon was pretty good as well. It wasnt very expensive, at least not for lunch. I'll probably be back.

I've been to Patacon Pisa'o several times. It's close to my mom's job, so I usually go when I'm free and have lunch with her at this restaurant. I absolutely love the little whole-in-the-wall feel to this place. During lunch it usually gets packed. This past time we went, we were the first customers there since we were a wee-bit early. We got there at 11 AM and they open at 11:30. The servers and hostess are very friendly and attentive. For lunch we had two empanadas to start which were delish. I had one of the patacon specials [the chicken with pineapple sauce--- WOAH]. My plate was DELICIOUS!!!! I loved the pineapple sauce. Can't wait to have it again! My mom had another patacon with chicken [don't remember which exactly] and she liked her plate as well. For dessert we had the tres leches... which was surprisingly really good, since I'm not a big fan. I really like this place and their prices are very fair. Two bottles of water, two empanadas, two patacon plates, and one dessert came out to $30. Not bad if you ask me! I would definitely recommend this place, especially if you like huge tostones!

While visiting Miami, my friends and I wanted to try something different than the big chains we are already familiar with. We found this hole-in-the-wall restaurant using Yelp, and I have to say that this restaurant serves some very delicious food. For appetizers, we tried two items - the empanadas and the shrimp. We requested to have the shrimp cooked with the garlic sauce they provide. What a difference! The garlic sauce was already flavorful by itself; having it infused into the shrimp added another dimension to the food. The empanadas were also pretty good; however, someone else mentioned that they may be a bit more on the potato side, which I agree with. Regardless, I would still recommend people to try it out (especially the shrimp cooked in the garlic sauce). I don't remember exactly what everyone ordered, but since everyone in my group ordered something different, we tried a little bit of each other's dish to get a feel for how the menu is. Like with the shrimps, all the food was good. I ordered a stuffed tilapia (or was it another fish?) dish. I think it's new on the menu since it was written in on a paper. Portion size is also very big, so you won't have to worry about leaving hungry. One of my friend ordered a whole red snapper; he finished half and took the other half home. Before you know it, his family managed to clean out the red snapper down to its bone. The best thing about this restaurant are the juices. There juices are so fresh that you can see the fruit wanting to separate, which has you stirring it back into place every now and then. And it tastes pretty close to its fruit content. There were several times we wanted to go back to the restaurant just for the juice, but time would not work out in our favor. We tried another juice place hoping to be as good as the juices served here, and it ended up making me crave for this place's juices even more. All in all, I recommend this place.

I've eaten here a few times and the food is consistantly good. In my opinion their best dish is the Patacon itself. Today I had the "arroz con mariscos". It was pretty good- and I would have it again, but it wasn't as good as the Patacon! That said, I would recommend this place to anyone!

The absolute worst service ever !!!!!!!!!!! I had heard such great things about this place and decided to order online. I received a confirmation email thanking me for my order and letting me know that it would be approx 1 hour for delivery. So far, so good... An hour and a half later I called the restaurant, where I was explained that half of what I ordered they had sold out of but if I wanted they could change my order but that it would take another hour. Seriously? I said I wanted to cancel my order, and was simply told "ok, bye". No apologies,no concerns, just bye... and to get my money back seems like a hassle already... So 1.5 hours and $40 later, I'm left hungry and bitter. Thanks!

The only time I've ever been here I found a piece of knife in my food. Thankfully I noticed it as I was chewing the meat before even chocking on it. When I showed the manager the piece of knife she seemed concerned but not concerned enough as if "one of your customers almost swallowed a sharp blade" concerned. The food was okay, but because of the service and reaction I don't think I'll come back here to eat again. Maybe I'll tag a long if my friends come and order a juice (something that won't come with knifes in it), but definitely not food.

Mas o menos. That's how I would describe Patacon: mas o menos (more or less). The bf and I came here after picking up a menu and decided to try it. The place is cute. Small and quaint. It very nicely decorated inside. I really LOVE their decor. They an entire brick wall with folkloric items. Really pretty. The service was mediocre. We had two separate waitresses. One who took our order and one who ended up bringing us the food and charging us. We had asked for empanadas along with our yuca fritas and the empanadas never made an appearance. When we asked the waitress she remarked, surprised "OH, the empanadas! Do you want them now?". No we don't want them now you've brought us our freaking entrees already!!! The food was ok. The yuca fritas were good! Especially with the little sauce they have on the table. It's spicy!! Nice. I had the bandeja paisa and it was ok. The egg, avocado, maduros and rice were the best things on my plate. Everything else...eh. My bf had the patacon de pollo al gratin. That was much better! Oh, and the portions are HUGE!!! Our bill was under $30, so I'd say it wasn't too bad. Just don't expect good service.

This place has all the Colombian favorites. The empanadas taste JUST like my grandmother's! And the patacon meals are great -- I usually get the steak and onions on a giant flattened plantain. Mmmmmm. I ate inside once and, although it was completely packed and I felt smushed, the service was good. Usually I get it to go and it comes out fast. I'd definitely recommend this place as one of the really good Colombian restaurants in Miami.

Great Colombian sampler - You can find dishes from various regions of the country and they are all authentic and well prepared. If you want to try something from the Andean Region(Bogota) definitely go with the Ajiaco- it is actually glorious if you have a hangover. Try the Sancocho for a Caribbean taste, this is more than a soup, it is a full meal ! Open your appetite with an empanada or two before your meal, you will not be disappointed. And the Bandeja Paisa will definitely give you a good taste of the Paisa Region - this is where Colombian President Alvaro Uribe hails from and it is a true reflection of the spirit and variety of the area. This place is a must - we see out of towners walk over from the nearby hotels and they are mesmerized by the sheer quality and variety of this outstanding Colombian eatery.

After seeing the name and the plate size patacones I though this was a gimmick to cover up sub par food. Boy was I wrong. First of all start with the papas criollas and some great chicharrones, at that point you could stop and go home happy... but there's more. The aforementioned plate size patacon is delicious, and no matter what you order it, with you can not go wrong. The steak is good the chicken is good but try ordering the combination, a patacon accompanied by a number of sides for you to dip, slather, and stuff your patacon with. Its deep fried deliciousness topped with a hotchpotch awesomeness. Definitely pay this place a visit but don't tell your cardiologist.

Awesome! The fish sancocho on Friday is the best! Most go early, because if you get there a bit after 2PM, it might be sold out and you will have to wait till next Friday. My friends had the Bistek a Caballo and Pollo con Champinones and were both delicious. The place is simple and hommy, small but clean. The prices are very reasonable. Can wait to go back. The only recommendation, is that the tables might need a little more space between table for a little more elbowroom and a more comfortable dinning experience. Can't wait to go back! This is a Most Go, if you are looking for Colombian food in the Doral area.

Delicious and fresh colombian cuisine! I had the pollo encebollado and it was great! Huge portions-there was no way I was finishing that meal in one sitting. The portions are large even for lunch. The empanadas are great too and you can wash them down with a colombiana. The service was very good, the only negatives are that the tables are really close together so it's very cramped. We also got charged for the wrong meal, but other than that the place is worth a visit!

this place even thou it is a hole in the wall and we have had our share of slow service, the food is definitely worth the effort. we have gone on various occasions for lunch and tried the lunch specials. for the fish lovers out there, on Tuesday the fish special is "Pescado al Limon" that is "fish in lemon sauce" this is delicious flaky white fish fillet which sits on a lite flavor able lemon herb filled sauce served with a very nice side salad and white rice. the fish was cooked exceptional with a lite crust on outside and flaky inside. we have also enjoyed their traditional plate called "Bandeja Paisa" this consist of small white rice with a fried over medium egg on top, a few pieces of fried pork rinds, a portion of their red beans, slice of avocado, 2 fried plantains and a small arepa (which i admit does not have a pleasant taste) and a strip of churrasco steak!!! and all for $9.99!!! we have been able to share this plate between 2 people.. and best yet for all those who are not familiar with restaurants.com certificates, check it out Patacon participates in these offers and have $10 certificates (which you can get for $2.00 when they offer their 80% off) so a meal for 2 w/certificate can be very inexpensive. Really enjoy the food here

I am not Colombian, but OMG this place is yummie.... I love their pineapple and yerba buena natural juice (I think that is how you spell it), the food has a great taste and is fresh. I love Fridays because they have live music and good specials. Their portion size is reasonable and you can even share their famous dish Patacon...

Always very good. Love this place! Generous portions, fresh, homemade Colombian food. The service is quick and polite. I love coming here for one of the bandeja paisas, which lets you sample a little bit of everything: cheese, chicharon, steak, arepa, rice, you name it! Their natural juices are excellent too. Fresh and delicious!

Uber authentic Columbian cuisine executed as good as it gets. We stayed next door at the Hampton and needed food, and we were sent here by the front desk. Small, owner-operated, and incredible flavors and quality.
