Grease pit chain w/bad food and bad service. The menu was 1 page long and for some reason they thought we needed 20 minutes to decide. We ordered our food... my coworker specificially said no tomatoes on hers and it came loaded with them. I think they added extra instead which is bad since she's allergic. The waitress apologized and got her a new plate. I had the garden salad which would have been ok but I made the mistake of getting a scoop of egg salad. Oh, it was bad. Shredded eggs with a funky mayo. Very thick blob with an odd flavor. I had a tummy ache from the one bite I took. The shakes were good... if I would have gotten the one I ordered. I ordered strawberry/banana and my coworker ordered strawberry and we realized later into drinking it we must have had the wrong ones. I guess if your up for greasy food and don't mind the bad service, go for it!

Horrible. Eat anywhere but here! 50 obnoxious high school aged employees bombarded us by screaming at us when we walked in, we were sat at a table in the middle of a walkway and throughout our meal the lights were practically turned off and all of the waitresses attempted to dance directly in front of our table. They also messed up one of our burger and fry orders. Just a terrible and poorly run operation with sub par food and a loud and obnoxious atmosphere.

Placed an order for two hamburgers and fries, coke and a shake. Was waited on very fast but waited almost one hour for food to arrive and only got it then because I complained to the rude manager about the long wait! People came in after I placed my order and got their food without any problems and were done eating and had left before I even came close to getting my order! The waitress that took my order even said she wasn't the one that took my order earlier even though she had brought a coke and shake to my table 40 minutes earlier! The manager made all kinds of excuses and basically told me pay for my drinks and leave if I could not wait for my order! Her name was Melissa! This Rocket is a dud!!

This place was very bland for the price. Would have been happier with a Mcdonalds burger.

Food was great. Service was quick and attentive. Four of us cost 61.00 without tip... Hotdog, chicken tenders and hamburger. All came with fries. Three sodas and one milkshake (very good). Brownie sundae... We all shared.

It's been a long time since I've been to a Johnny Rockets - I'm glad I was able to experience this one. The service was friendly and efficient, the place was clean, and everyone's order, from the chicken strips to the grilled chicken salads was good. It wasn't the most spectacular experience I've had but certainly one of the good ones.

Your experience is directly related to the time you go. If it is busy then they seem to have a hard time handling the service. If it is at an off time on an off day then you are set. Luckily my wife and I tend to eat at off times and days. I have been in here on days when there are events at the bandshell on a weekend and it was maddening. The food is good and the service friendly enough most of the times. If you want a burger that is not BK across the street then this is your place.

I haven't eaten at a Johnny Rockets in years and my husband and I needed a quick burger and thought let's give it a try. This is located in the busy beach area of Daytona up on the 2nd floor. Great view of the beach! It wasn't very busy at all so we wrere sat immediately and our server was at our table in less than a minute. My husband and I decided to split a burger and fries and I ordered a vanilla shake. I had forgotten how deliciious their shakes are! Mmm good! The burger and fries were cooked perfectly. No complaints at all. The server was friendly and attentive and seemed to enjoy his job. The restaurant itself is decorated just like all of the other Johnny Rockets (which is 50's style) but this one could use a little cleaning and fixing up. Just felt like it was old and unhappy if walls could talk! We will most definitely return when we want a burger in Daytona!

Went there for the first time with my daughter and her friends. The food and service was great. Our server Gregory was very friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. We had some questions some of the items and he was honest when we asked for his opinion. Personally, I would rather be told the truth if something doesn't taste as good as the pictures depict than to be told that it's great and be disappointed. The part that I love is when they turned the lights off and started to dance to a couple of the songs. We cheered them on, as well as danced and sang along in our booth. It was overall a great experience for us. Everyone was very nice there and we can't wait to go back again.

We went to this restaurant for my daughters birthday. There was 15 of us so we had to wait for an hour which was understandable. Once we were seated it took 15 min for the staff to ask us what we wanted to drink. Once we actually received our drinks they 45 minutes have passed. When we finally received our food an hour has passed. The hamburger I ordered was a larger hamburger torn in small pieces to make my hamburger. I spoke to the manager and she said they ran out of my size burger so they had to improvise. I couldn't believe it. This was my daughters birthday dinner. All our meals were terrible. The manager would not discount our bill or take anything off. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!!!

I come here whenever I visit the beach - truly a treat. Great service and awesome food! On my birthday we ate there for lunch and I was spoiled!! The staff were so friendly and made my special day feel even better! We're going on vacation soon for summer, can't wait to stop in, say hi and grab a bite! Also their shakes are heavenly!!

The food's ok but too expensive. A burger and fries costs more than a meal at fast food restaurants. The diner is active and lively though.

My family stopped into Johnny rocket and we were greeted with a nice cheerful hello from all of the staff. Our waiter was very quick and efficient. He never let out drinks run out, and when they gave my brother sweet potato fries, he promptly apologized and requested a new batch of normal fries from the kitchen. The food was pretty good. But I'm a cheeseburger kinda gal. I really enjoyed when the staff started dancing to a 70s disco song. They were super sweet, nice, and have great customer service. We will be stopping here every time we are in Daytona beach!

With five of us, one a seven year old we decided to drop in for lunch on a busy Saturday. We were seated right away and had not one but two waitresses take our orders. We were entertained by the whole staff singing and dancing. Everyone was very friendly and what I believe to be a manager in a blue shirt checked with us several times to ensure all was well. I also noticed that she kept busy ensuring other tables were taken care of. Our food and shakes came out very fast and we all enjoyed our meals. I was a bit nervous at first when I sat down and read other reviews but I didn't experience any of the issues others had. Service was promt, courteous and very polite. We had a very enjoyable and entertaining lunch, thank you.

This Johnny Rockets is in a very busy complex. Tourists everywhere. I love tourist spots sometimes because you can get some great people watching in. This was no exception. There was quite a wait for this restaurant so we put our names on the list and hung out on the balcony area watching the people below us. Barefoot and shirtless hillbillies, preppy college girls, goths making out... it had it all! Granted, my family and I were also tourists and don't worry we put on our own version of a show for other people watchers. Don't we all? The restaurant itself is small but they do have TVs which is great if there are games on. This is the first time I have been at a Johnny Rockets where they actually danced when certain songs were played. I remember a time when they ALWAYS DANCED. Oh well. I am generally not a fan of Johnny Rockets food. I can't eat most of it because of my gluten intolerance. I stuck to a tried and true item, the milkshake, combined with a bunless burger. I should have just gotten two milkshakes. I always try to enjoy their bunless burgers but I am always disappointed. It just doesn't satisfy. Really, the only reason to ever eat at a Johnny Rockets is the milkshakes (or malts if you can have malt). They are filling, delicious and you always get more than enough. The service was decent but we did wait quite a while for our milkshakes in the beginning. Everyone but me ordered fries with their meal. The server brought us the traditional smiley face plate of ketchup but no bottle. That much ketchup is not enough for 5 people. We asked for a bottle so she quickly grabbed the nearest bottle but it only had a few tablespoons left in it. We ended up "borrowing" ketchup from a neighboring table. Come on servers, condiments are important when trying to choke down over-cooked burgers and fries. With the long wait, parking could have been expensive but my favorite trick is to get the parking ticket validated at the movie theater. That usually gives you 3 hours of free fun.

We ate here once while at Daytona beach! The place was the only one not packed to the gills with people waiting to be seated. Our food was good and the wait for the food wasn't bad at all. Our server was awesome and in my opinion, Johnny Rockets is a great place to eat if you aren't feeling sea food or over priced concoctions.

Slow slow slow. Pretty much empty when we got there. Our order was taken but an overly enthusiastic guy who couldn't even get the drinks right. We tried to get his attention a few times but he seemed more interested in being behind the counter talking to his coworkers. We did finally get the correct drinks but the food took forever. Before our food arrived all the waitstaff did a little dance number to obnoxiously loud disco music that seemed to drag on forever, just bring me my damn greasy burger already. Did I mention how greasy the burgers were, or how obnoxious the waitstaff was? Oh well we won't be back but consider this fair warning if you go there.

We were not greeted by anyone and stood waiting. We finally sat ourselves. After a waiter helped himself to a drink he took our order. My three year old just wanted a water. After ten minutes we served our self to the drink and they didn't seem surprised. We ordered three shakes. After ten minutes I asked the same waiter where the shakes were and his response was, "I put in the order". He then proceeded to take his pills and put on the rest of his uniform. They greeted others but no one looks up so it lacks the sincerity. Slow, lazy servers and they lack real management.

This was absolutely the worst restaurant experience I've ever had. We had a one hour wait which was okay because there was a line of people. The real problem was the wait after we got inside. We ordered right away and waited over an hour for basically fast food type burgers. Really? We asked our waiter about the wait and he just put his head in his hands. We finally left without food after waiting over an hour. Do not recommend this restaurant No stars.

Went here while passing through Daytona Beach and checking out the boardwalk. Not sure if they were open and even after going inside still not sure. Servers were friendly but sloooooooow. Everyone had on a dirty apron and looked like they slept in their pants. Food was acceptable standard fare of burgers and fries. Inside restaurant looked like it needed a good cleaning. For a laugh they have posted in the restrooms a diagram and descriptions of what an employee should look like while at work, maybe the employees should check it out.

Great atmosphere, but had to ask 3 times during our visit to play some music!!!! Staff was training so at one point we had to get a new server for whatever reason. This place is very overpriced for burgers, but they are pretty good. Milkshake wasnt bad either. In my opinion this is a steak n shake that just cost alot more. Save your money!

Bad service and the cook obviously is lazy too!! I ordered a houston burger asked for bacon and didnt get bacon !! My girlfriend ordered a strawberry milkshake and it tasted like it had bananas we both agreed that the service is horrible they tried rushing us but the only reason i gave it 2 stars was the burger and the milkshakes are soo good the chili cheese fries are great you must try the oreo strawberry milkshake but the service is just horrible love the food though
