優れました ~ Based on all the Yelp reviews, we where in the Davie area today and decided to try this establishment. ~ The ambiance of the restaurant was exactly what my partner explained that her sushi experiences were in Hong Kong w/ the stainless steel belt conveyor circling around the inside of the very comfortable booth seating area and sushi bar. Our waitress "Zoe" was very knowledgeable about what we wanted and was sure that our order was properly spaced out so that we could enjoy our delicacies over a 90 minute lunch. We all shared: ~ Fiesta Roll ~ that was a shrimp and spicy tuna roll with an I/O yellowtail jalapeño dressing on top. (had a nice bite to it) ~ Tonkotsu Ramen ~ that consisted of a thin Japanese egg noodles in a rich pork broth, yellow corn, seaweed squares, bamboo shoots, a marinated boiled egg that had a great taste of soy sauce permeated throughout it, large pieces (8) of pork belly chanshu and a garnish of Japanese scallions. (house special) ~ Hamachi Kama ~ this is the collar (jawbone) of a yellowtail fish. It is the most fatty and juicy part of the fish and a delicacy that most Americans are not aware of. It was grilled to perfection until the skin was crispy, crunchy and the meat was moist and juicy. The portion (see picture) was so large that it would be a minimum of two orders at any other Sushi restaurant in the BPB area. (very tasty) ~ Salmon Kama ~ these salmon collars where also grilled to perfection that was also very juicy and tender and the portions once again was "HUGE" (see picture) ~ Crispy Tacos ~ two delicately prepared tacos that where made from a light crispy wonton wrapper filled with spicy tuna, avocado and a flavorful steamed white rice ~ (excellent) ~ "Special" Spicy Scallop Hand Roll ~ ....this was not on the menu but we saw it on a previous Yelp review and asked if they could prepare one for us. OMG, it was so large and filled to the brim with luscious scallops in a savory and tangy mayo sauce. (awesome) Their "Iced Green Tea" was excellent and our glasses where never half emptied before Zoe refilled them for us. ~ (thirst quencher) Overall the culinary experience was such a treat, very reasonably priced and left us completely satisfied. This is a definite place to try for I believe that a true connoisseur will enjoy this establishment. 喝采 ~ Cheers ~

Thanks to the Yelpers who gave Yuzu good reviews. I happened to be nearby and made a point to stop for lunch today. Excellent idea. Yuzu is a small, cute Japanese/Sushi bar that happens to be awesome. It reminded me of being in Hong Kong ( this is GOOD). They have a full menu of Sushi, Yakitori, noodle dishes, AND conveyor belt offerings. Our server, Zoe was so friendly, and helped us make some difficult selections from the menu which was studded with many tempting choices. Hamachi Kama..... heaven. Huge pieces of grilled "collar". Tender, savory, luscious,, sticky with collagen that you can only get from those special cuts of fish. We also ordered Salmon Kama... not as euphoric as the hamachi, but damn good. Ramen with a generous portion of pork belly so tender and melting (sigh), vegetable, seaweed, soft boiled egg that I suspect was poached in soy sauce was perfectly cooked, and tenner, chewy ramen noodles in a broth that was creamy with egg yolk. We had a few sushi rolls that were fresh and delicious and the spicy tuna taco starter that was fantastic! Wash it down with iced green tea and you have a great, healthy meal. Looking forward to my next visit!

The sushi is really good here , fresh and clean. I like that you can order a bunch of different sushi plates for an inexpensive price. The alaskan roll was great! The tonkatsu ramen soup was good. I have had better. I don't know if I'd order it again, however, I will come back for sushi and desert. There bento boxes are huge and yummy. The fried rice is really good. I will be coming back

So this place is not like japanese market or naoe in miami, but for the price it is not bad. If u like sushi/sashimi and you want the freshest ask for the chef's special (omakase) The price can vary, anywhere between $30-60 per person. Everytime I go I ask for chef's special and the owner/head sushi chef himself will come greet us and tell us what us the freshest fish he has. Usually I let him have the artistic freedom. He's never disappointed me. I dont grad the sushi from the conveyor belt, bc I'm not a big roll fan unless it's made right in front of me. Their yakitoris are amazing. The sauce is house made, not too sweet or salty. Just perfect. Here are some of the examples of dishes I've had there. I came here on the 4th day they opened and been coming back if i wanted some omakase nigiri or sashimi at a much more affordable price. Ambiance/service : it's bright, clean, decor is simple, and the service is on point. Not super attentive where it's suffocating but around to check up on us without asking.

After coming back so often, I had to bump up my rating to 5 stars. I almost never come for the conveyor belt options anymore because their on- and off- menu items are excellent. Yuzu has some of the freshest fish around (including those imported from Japan) and probably some of the most affordable omakase options I've ever seen/experienced. I'm a sucker for omakase and I love that I don't have to break the bank as much to eat delicious and authentic sushi. I hope Yuzu remains customer-friendly and keeps their prices extremely reasonable so that I have a reason to keep coming back. Very friendly chefs as well who care about their craft and check up on you to make sure you enjoy what they prepare. Seriously though, the other people on here complaining about the lack of variety on the conveyor belt just need to crack open the menu or speak to a chef. Don't be lazy or unadventurous!

I'm hovering around 3.5 stars here, but I think going to round down to 3, since nothing here blew me away, and as well all know (or should know if you've been to one of these type places) that the plates can quickly add up! Yuzu Kaiten has been on my radar since they first opened, and really peaked my interest when I read Paul M's review. So finally after months of waiting I was able to check it out! Despite reading ahead of time the conveyor belt system still wowed me, as this is different from any other "floating boat" sushi place I had been to. One thing to note if you're a clean freak (I'm not), the sushi here presumably is cleaner as it's kept nice and safe in a different closed environment. It also means that opening the conveyor belt door may slow you down a bit, so you need to keep an eye out on what's coming and make sure you don't miss what you want - in one case I had to wait for the entire thing to go around again. Ok, so what did I eat. Well as you may know these places can get pricey. Grabbing all those little plates seems like a great idea until you get the check and you regret all of your decisions, so I did try and aim for the mid-priced blue and green plates. Favorite of the night was the Miami Heat Roll which definitely packed some heat. Second favorite was the roll topped with imitation crab meat (Snow White?), and you'll notice like me that grabbing the plates is probably more memorable than the actual names. I did also order the YellowTail Collarbone from the menu since I'd seen so many others raving about it, along with a miso soup. The soup was as expected, but the YellowTail somewhat let me down. It was good, but not as good as the other reviews had lead me to believe. I wouldn't order this again. This may sound strange, but I tried the Creme Brulee for dessert, yes not a real Asian standard lol, and found the dish to be good, but kind of off. More like a Custard Brulee than a Creme, if that makes any sense. Overall, Yuzu is a fun place, especially for someone who hasn't done the floating boat style places. Pricing was fare, but you can of course rack up quite a hefty bill here. Sake, wine and beer was available, but the menu was taken away from me as soon as I ordered water, as if I wasn't allowed to revisit my choice. The service at the end felt a little weird, maybe they wanted to make sure I didn't "steal" any other plates after they had tallied the bill, but they definitely hovered around a bit much.

Move over NYC! I have been dying to come here since my best friend visited and my parents visited. This was my parents third time and they still love it. The conveyor belt was a nice touch, but we opted to order from the kitchen. We got an eel roll (4 pieces), tamago nigiri, sushi and sashimi combo for one, and an order of fried oysters. Finally we ended with tempura green tea ice cream. Each dish was amazing and super fresh. The tamago was definitely made in house. It had some colorful swirls instead of the uniform yellow at other sushi joints. Sweet and chilled on top of flavorful rice. The star was the sushi and sashimi. The fish was so fresh and melt in your mouth good. Presentation is beautiful and well thought out. The chef even stopped by our table to apologize for the wait and took his time to explain each fish. When I asked about the fresh oysters my friend had tried, he told us that they no longer ordered that, but they had fried oysters. It came out nice and crunchy with a tasty dipping sauce. Dessert is always the best part. This was even better with green tea ice cream! The only other time I've had fried green tea ice cream was in NY at a night market. This was different, but just as good. Again, presentation was beautiful and tropical.

Love it here! Really Fresh fish! Try the Omakase! The chef comes out to present his creation and describe the type of fish. He is very talented and very inviting!

We needed lunch. And we wanted a good meal. We took a chance on Yuzu Kaiten. We never imagined it would be SO GOOD. Service: If every time a server came over to check on us was a drinking game I'd have been under the table halfway through the meal! Several servers checked on us and the sushi chef came out to speak with us - twice! The second time he showed us pics on his phone of the Japanese seafood/fish he's received in the past few weeks. He said he's going to increase the amount he's ordering from Japan to meet the increasing need. He has excellent knife skills and is rightfully proud of his product and ability. We ordered: Yakitori food: Hamachi kama - yellowtail fish collar - a rich, roasted, juicy, fatty part of the fish. It's served with ponzu sauce but I like it with just a squeeze of lemon or lime. Delicious. The bacon wrapped asparagus was perfect - and dare I say better than another retaurant known for yakitori food? Yes, I dare. The bacon was flavorful without being oversalted. And the grill deeply flavored both meat and veg. Appetizers: The miso broth was served in the biggest bowl I ever got. It was creamy, with small diced pieces of tofu and seaweed spiking the broth. It wasn't salty. Hubby ordered soft shell crab. I poked my chopsticks inside a piece to taste the crab. What sweet meat! I don't like fried food but I took the whole piece to pry out the rest of the sweet white flesh. The STAR of the meal: Paper thin slices of Japanese sea bass and yellowtail (usuzukuri). The fish was served on a bed of ice with strands of daikon radish decoration and finely chopped chives and finely chopped hot pepper (I assume because it was red and spicy). Dessert: Hubby ordered creme brulee and it was a creamy chilled custard with a warm glass-like toasted sugar top. Hubby took his spoon to crack the top open and I had 2 spoons of creamy, toasty decadence. This was one of the better creme brulees we've had. Conveyor belt: Yes, we'll be going back. And we'll bring my mom. She'll love the refrigerated conveyor belt of food and desserts. There are signs introducing the dishes and every plate of food has a clear dome. There are even signs telling customers to order specific dishes from the servers. So the conveyor belt serves to stave starving appetites and advertise menu items. I didn't expect to like the restaurant so much, but I really did. We hope to return in a few days.

There is an unbelievable sushi place in DAVIE. I cannot believe that I just wrote this sentence but Yuzu Kaiten is amazing. The chic modern interior is very nice as the entire restaurant is brand new. There is a pretty cool conveyor belt that goes around where you can just pop up the window, grab, and eat. The wares going around looked very good but a sign up front caught my attention: Otoro 3 pieces $12. Having spent as much as $15 a piece for that lucious melt in your mouth fatty tuna, my curiosity was definitely piqued. Once I ordered some from the waitress she mentioned that they have other fish not on the menu that just came from JAPAN. Japan???? What you talking about Willis? The waitress said that the chef could come over and give some additional detail if I wanted. Kurt the sushi chef came over and explained that indeed every Tuesday and Friday they get shipments of fish from the south of Japan and that what was sent varied by season and catch. HOLY MOLY COULD THIS BE SO??? IN DAVIE???!! I mean I have had some legit quality sushi from Japan in Miami at Japanese Market, Nobu, NAOE, and Zuma, but in Davie? I quickly agreed to have Kurt make me a sashimi platter including Otoro and some fish that was just flown in. While we were waiting the chef sent over a complimentary appetizer of chicken skewers which was great. Our lunch was starting off on a good note for sure. I became a believer as soon as he brought over my beautiful plate of fish. There were: Otoro Tuna Rendokai (Red Sea Breem) from Japan Isaki (Grunt) from Japan Suzuki (Seabass) from Japan Cobia from Japan Salmon Fatty Salmon Are you effing kidding me?? This plate was absolutely delicious and incredibly unexpected. The Otoro was great as always but the selections from Japan were all delectable. Seriously high quality stuff. The best part was it was only a fraction of the cost of what I have paid for similar platters in the past. My lunch partner sampled a bunch of stuff from the conveyor belt and it was all good too as it is freshly made by the staff in the kitchen. Kurt came back and we chatted a bit more. He explained that the word has started to get out and that every Tuesday and Friday they are getting very busy with sushi fans. If you are thinking about going - Don't think RUN! Just don't go on a Tuesday or Friday so I can have more sushi for me.

It is big news when a new Sushi place opens right in our neighborhood in Davie. When we saw the sign for Yuzu Kaiten Sushi, my 10 year old and I (being the sushi lovers in the family) eagerly awaited it's opening. The verdict? 10 year absolutely adored the place. I was somewhat disappointed. Yuzu Kaiten Sushi has a closed conveyer belt circling the restaurant. You can either take items off the conveyer belt or order from the menu. I have never really liked places that have items passing by, whether they are on a conveyer belt or a boat. To me, this is a gimmick. I would rather not eat my sushi (or any item) after it's been out for a while. Sushi should be served to the table absolutely fresh. Since the restaurant was barely full when we were there, I do wonder how long those items remained on the conveyer belt. The menu is not small, but it is somewhat limited if one is not a sushi lover (translation: my 11 could barely find anything to eat). There are "appetizers", "beginner rolls", "special rolls", nigiri, sashimi, donburi, noodles, and bento boxes. If one is not a sushi eater, the bento boxes ($12-$14) are really the only option. The bento boxes come with 2 gyoza, veggie tempura, 4 piece California Roll, rice, and soup or salad. My husband thought his Beef Teriyaki Bento Box was okay, but not something he would return for. I actually enjoyed the Tonkatsu Ramen. The savory broth was filling and delicious. The pork belly and egg both had a great flavor. I really have not had Ramen before, so eating this has inspired me to taste other Ramen dishes to compare it with. The Ramen would have been filling enough but I also ordered several rolls to try. This is where I found that this restaurant fell short. Although there are many rolls on the menu, most of theme re made with tempura, crab stick, mayo, and cream cheese. It was difficult to find rolls made with fresh raw fish! My 10 year old and I tried several rolls He loved them but I just felt that the fish got lost. We tried the following rolls: Lobster, Rock & Roll, Spicy Tuna, & Tokyo Sandwich. All of the rolls are reasonably priced at $4.25-$6.25, but they are mostly 4 piece rolls. If I had a favorite, it was the Tokyo Sandwich ($4.25). Served in 2 pieces it has salmon, mango, spicy crab, massago, and tempura crunchy. Although it had a lot going on, this roll was pretty tasty and filling. I was not crazy about the other rolls, which seemed to have a large rice to filling ratio. The Lobster Roll was made with lobster salad and I am not even sure if it was made with real lobster. With the mayo and cream cheese, it all tasted like mush. I tasted 10 year old's "Rock & Roll" Roll. Not something I would order.....a deep fried roll with shrimp, salmon, cream cheese, sweet sauce, and spicy mayo. It was really a mess. Service was polite and usually quick. We did have to wait a while for one roll that we ordered later in the meal. The place seems very clean and has a sleek, modern, almost stark decor. The backs of the booths are very high so the booths seem somewhat private. I don't think the family will be returning here together soon. One son absolutely loved it but the other hated it! Husband was not thrilled with it either. Although I did not love the rolls, I could get by eating the Ramen. This may be a place for a date night...with my 10 year old!

I've never been to this type of sushi place like this where there is sushi available on a conveyor belt. I like how quickly I can be in and out, very convienant for those on the go. Especially if you like to have a variety of rolls. They also have traditional made sushi made to order, i haven't tried it yet, but will next time. The quality of the sushi on the belt is very good and there are a variety of choices from sushi, sashimi, salads, and rolls. Definitely love the convienance, price and serve is excellent! Finally a good sushi place in Davie!!! Will definitely be back. Updates to come. :-)

Conveyor belt sushi restaurants are so much fun. You go, sit down, and stare at all of the wonderful sushi that passes by. But this is so dangerous. I've gone a few times when I was really, really hungry and well, I just started grabbing everything and was full in 10 minutes. Just let the conveyor belt go around once and scope out what they have and then dig in! Each plate on the conveyor belt ranges from about $2 to $6. When I have an appetite, I end up spending anywhere from $20 to $25 on myself. So yeah, it can get a little pricey. They have a good selection on the conveyor belt, from nigiri sushi to classic and specialty rolls to edamame to even desert. I found that there's not much of a selection on a weekday evening, considering there are fewer number of customers that come in. So if they don't have it on the conveyor belt, you can order what you want with the server. They also sell entree dishes such as ramen, udon, and chirashi bowls. The ramen is pork based and has a hearty flavor to it. Their chirashi bowl is full of different sliced fish over rice. In my opinion, they give a crap ton of rice compared to the amount of fish. Not the best I've had. Service is pretty good. I feel like the servers are attentive and check up on you regularly. They'll split checks for you if you have multiple people in your party. The seating arrangement is set up well - large, comfy booths situated around the conveyor belts. This place is a cool spin on your neighborhood sushi joint. Not the best, mind blowing sushi I've had, but it'll do when I need to satisfy my craving.

I love kaiten sushi since my high school days, as it's an easy and inexpensive way to satisfy my sushi cravings. The kaiten places in Miami, such as Shima and Katana, only open at nights, so I'm hoping for a good kaiten place that is open for lunch. Ok, starting on the positive - what I like about this place: - instead of rustic floating boats, sushi here comes out on a conveyer belt with clear covers, reminiscent of space capsule. Each dish is also covered, a lot more sanitary than sushi going around in open air. - There is clear signage of what each plate is as it passes by you. - Service is courteous So, why the low rating? Because it fails on what counts: the food. I am not comparing it to fancier sushi joints, but really apple to apple. I will not say its ramen doesn't compare to Momi, that's expected, but Go Bistro, at the same price, offers a much better bowl, from the noodles to the broth to the toppings. Similarly, the unagi is way nicer at Shima - bigger, thicker, more succulent piece of fish. We ordered a conch salad, and it came out as five slices of conch on a few leaves of lettuce with a smear of sauce across. Okay, technically the lettuce makes it a salad, I suppose, but it certainly is not what we have in mind or tried elsewhere. We also ordered the green tea tempura ice cream but the shell was so hard we couldn't break it apart. Total disappointment, definitely won't be back.

Went here with my boyfriend - the atmosphere was cute and reserved. I loved the rotating trays and the wait staff are so humble and quick! The warm house sake was... Interesting and the after taste was nice. The sushi was fresh and the tonkatsu ramen was great. Will definitely be back.

Yup. This place is good. It goes along with how society thrives on instant gratification. You walk in; get seated; and eat to your heart's content. I've never had to wait too long for a table. But then again I try to avoid peak days and hours at places like this. I usually come in for a late weekday lunch or a late dinner to avoid the crowds and waiting. The staff here is super attentive. And it's easy to flag someone down if you wanted to order any special menu items that aren't served on the conveyor belt. I've tried their seafood ramen and the soft shell crab roll that's off the menu. Seafood ramen wasn't the best in my opinion. It lacked depth of flavor. Kind of tasted like a prepackaged ramen packet that they threw extra stuff in. I don't think it's worth getting. I regretted not ordering the tonkatsu ramen instead when I got my bowl. The soft shell crab roll, however, was tasty. Nice big chunks of soft shell crab that stayed crispy. Major noms. The plates off the conveyor range from around $2.50 to $6.50 a plate. The plates are color coded and there's a key on the belt so you know how much you'll be paying for each plate you grab. The salmon and tuna sashimi pieces I've had here were always good. Not fishy, fresh, and full of delicious fatty omega-3s. Yellow tail was good here too. Didn't care for the mackerel too much, but maybe I just had a bad plate? They have little rolls on the belt as well. Just read the descriptions as they whiz by and hopefully you don't act too slow while grabbing your plate. Hahaha. If you want sake or beer, they just got their alcohol license too long ago. They have a pretty good list of sake to try from your super traditional unfiltered to your sparkling fruit flavored ones. There's an alcoholic beverage for anyone's taste. This isn't your fancy sushi, omakase experience here. It's sit down, grab food, and go. And sometimes that's just what you want and need. Glad this place opened up in the area so I can add another quick bite stop to my list!

One of the best Sushi meals I've EVER had!!!! I've been here several times now since it opened and it is consistently impressive. Tonight was just exceptional though... I asked our waiter if they had any sashimi specials (not on the menu) the answer was yes! We ordered sashimi for two and holy cow was it INCREDIBLE! The fish selection was unique, exceptionally cut and incredibly delicious! On top of that, the service was incredibly friendly and efficient. (Our waiter was John) He kept our drinks filled and made sure we were happy. We certainly were!!!!! We only had two items from the conveyor belt, but both were great. We got there at about 5:05pm right after they opened and it was fun to watch the conveyor belt selections grow and grow as we continued our meal. All in all a fantastic UNIQUE restaurant!!! I will be back! Many times!

I'm so glad to see a new conveyer belt sushi place in Davie, finally! Usually I have to travel to Miami if I want sushi like this. The restaurant is very cute, the booths are very spacious and the environment was clean. Servers were very attentive and friendly. My boyfriend and I mostly ate sushi from the conveyer belt. It was delicious, and they had lots of different varieties to choose from. I will say that compared to some of the other places that have this conveyer belt type sushi where you pay by plate, the prices were a tad bit steep. The places I go to in Miami, in my opinion, have better quality sushi for better prices. Of course, it does beat having to drive 30+ minutes just to go to those places, so I guess that makes up for it. We then ordered fried calamari from the menu, but it wasn't anything special. I've had better fried calamari at Cheesecake Factory. The sauce they serve it with was good though. For dessert we ordered green tea ice cream, which was very good. It's your standard green tea ice cream you can get at pretty much any other Japanese restaurant, but it didn't come with any toppings like whip cream or cherries like at some other places, but it was a nice-size serving, which was good. Overall, we were pretty pleased with our visit to Yuzu and will definitely be back to sample more sushi!

I found out about this place a couple of weeks ago and finally got the chance to try it out. I heard they get fresh fish flown in from Japan so I had to try. Our server showed us a list of 5-6 different kinds of fresh fish (not your typical tuna or salmon or yellowtail), and we decided to do the Omakase for 4. They even had my favorite-- Aji! It's hard to find Aji in Florida. On the boat there were 14 different kinds of fish. Everything was so fresh-- almost (I said almost) as good as sushi I had in Japan. The fish selection & quality rivals that of Nobu in Malibu, Zuma in Miami, and Marumi in Plantation--just to name a few. And the price of Yuzu is almost half the price of previously mentioned places. This place is the bomb!! Tuesdays & Fridays are the days the fish arrives from Japan.

As soon as we entered we were greeted by a warm and smiling face. We were seated and told to we could order off the menu or help ourselves to the sliding plates next to us. Within a few minutes of exploring the plates our server came. I have never seen such warm, friendly, lovable server in my life. And i am not exaggerating. He who is I believe Japanese middle aged man, who's hearts beauty reflected on his face approached our table with a friendly hello in his adorable accent. He was very kind and attentive. He took our orders, offered us chicken teriyaki and kept up with our table. The service was great. There was a conveyer belt on our right side with a variety or sushi and sashimi. The plates were priced according to the color of plate. We grabbed a few plates which includes the California roll, tofu sushi skin, spicy tuna, Philadelphia roll and ordered shrimp tempura roll. The sushi wasn't the best but it was pretty average. I enjoyed the shrimp tempura roll the most. We also ordered the Hamachi Kama which is the collar of the yellow tail fish. That was the best Hamachi Kama I have eaten anywhere! And it was only $7.50 for a large. Incredibly deliciously grilled served with an amazing sauce! Yummmm. Prices for sushi are average and quality is average as well. However I will be back just for the service, the Hamachi Kama and to try some other things on the menu. When we were leaving three of the employees were standing outside on break. Still very professional they thanked us and told us to have a good night.

2nd visit with more friends and family. It was a early dinner and the chef was not around. HOWEVER our waitress called the chef and he arrived 15mins after to prepare a Chef's special sashimi boat for 3. FRESH fish flown in from Japan was artfully sliced and decorated ontop of a boat. The cuts were delicious with 5 different types of Japanese fly fish. Accompanied by cuts of tuna and salmon. Yumm! Always delightfu to visit chef Kurt for sushi. Thank you again !

Another awesome find by sisters. Even though they had the conveyer belt with sushi and appetizer selections, we decided to opt for the boat selection with Sushi Chef's choice. The Sushi Chef came out and asked what we liked...of course we wanted all the goodies! Aji, fatty salmon, ikura, uni, ama ebi, mirogai, ika and more....all fresh tasting! This is a definite must try and must go back for more sushi place! Great service, great Sushi Chef and most of all...awesome sushi!

Right now this is our favorite restaurant in/near Plantation: - Price is 5 stars - I now laugh at the $12 rolls in Publix I used to buy - Service is 5 stars - attentive but not smothering, incredibly friendly, and authentic - Food is 5 stars - I'm no sushi connoisseur (as evidenced by the Publix comment) so to me sushi is sushi, no big deal. HOWEVER, this place upped the ante with new flavors: baby octopus salad, crawfish salad, delicious soups, and "off the menu" items including the chef's choice (a giant plate of fresh sushi, priced by the person) and desserts (yummmmm). - Everything else is ok: nice décor, TVs playing sports, strip mall location, easy parking, open at normal times.

Always wanted to try kaiten style Sushi. Shout out to Mimosa N for letting me know about this place, thank you! This place has crowds coming based on the Yelp reviews! There was a wait time on a Friday night at 9pm for about 15-20 minutes and we were just conveyor-belt shopping ..I was this one and that one and oooh that one, that in itself was a treat! The hostess was SO courteous and sweet, 5 star on service! There were a few different waiters taking care of us and answered all our questions and even checked with chef on specials. Although the Japanese student-waiter dropped the glass, he handled it so well that he made me proud. Everybody made sure we were happy. The sushi rolls, yakitori, ramen and especially sashimi are very good but the real star is the Hamachi Kama. I have a new found appreciation for Salmon and various fat grades of tuna thanks to Yuzu! Being a fan of Japanese culture and food, I enjoyed the whole experience!

We went to Yuzu with Mom tonight. She liked the idea of the conveyor belt but went crazy for the menu items. She loved the fish collar and miso soup. Tonight the head chef (owner?) walked around the restaurant with a platter of fish. He showed us a red walking/flying fish from Japan and a Branzino from Italy. He showed us how red the gills were. He had a giant clam on the tray too. The fish was very fresh. We ordered sashimi made into thin slices and told him to use whatever fish he wanted. He said he was going to use Alaskan king salmon with the Japanese fish. I don't understand how a conveyor belt sushi place also has fish from Japan. It's like opposite ends of the spectrum. Seriously. When the fish was served there was so many kinds. We liked the slices of black grouper, stone fish (the best), grunt, and sea robin. There was a fresh scallop sliced between slices of the lemoniest lemon we ever had. I don't know if it was a Meyer lemon or home grown or what but it was very lemony. The king salmon was very creamy but a little thick for me. There were other fish slices too. I was shocked by high quality of the fish and the generosity of the chef. He made beautiful precision slices. The presentation was beautiful. We also had fish tacos (ok but there are better things to have here), bacon around asparagus and bacon around shrimp (very good), chicken fried rice (big chunks of chicken, roasted corn and other things). We finished the meal with a creme brulee and cheesecake. The cheesecake was very creamy but once we tasted the creme brulee we liked it even more. The servers are very friendly and asked if I wanted drink refills. We didn't have to flag anyone down. When we left we saw a line out the door but the servers never made us feel that they wanted us to leave. We didn't know people were waiting. They wanted us to have a good time. If you like sushi and I mean sushi. Not rolls that are fried and cream-cheesed, or fake crab, order from the menu or ask the chef to prepare something for you. You can't beat it.

As a south Florida native, Fort Lauderdale sorely needed a conveyor belt sushi place, and after seeing an ad in the mail, I was excited to try this one out, especially since it was so convenient to where I lived. I ordered the tonkotsu ramen and grabbed some things from the belt. The belt is refrigerated and had quite a few items rotating, so I had zero qualms about the idea of the sushi being left out for too long. The place itself is super clean and quaint with modern decor, and with this type of cuisine (and all the horror stories about food poisoning), this is a great sign. The food had great flavor and the rolls themselves were not small. They come in 3 or 4 pieces but with about 6-7 plates and a tonkotsu order, we were beyond stuffed for about $15/person, which is a great deal for Japanese! The tonkotsu broth was cloudy and delicious and you really can't beat that quality for 10 bucks!

First off, I would like to say that I'm very picky when it comes to sushi. I've had my career for about 10 years as a chef and I tend to evaluate beyond just the food. This has to be one of the better conveyer belt sushi restaurants I've been to. If you are not sure what roundabout is, it's basically ready made sushi on a convader belt. Unlike others, here they have signs of the sushi coming up. The location is right off of University, pretty easy to find and a decent location. The layout and decoration reminds me of the restaurants in Asia. -The booths with tall backs gives you a private dining experience. -Brightly lit dining area. -Fresh sushi with fresh fish. Not the frozen tuna. -The roundabout goes through all the tables. -Reasonable price. -Servers are always available to assist. I would definitely recommend this place.

If this place is close to you, I'd recommend the sushi. On my first visit here, I sampled some of the various plates from the rotating sushi bar and the tonkatsu ramen, both of which I may be a bit of a snob about. Nonetheless, here is my detailed review. The rolls were pretty good. Each booth is situated so you can just slide up the plastic paneling as plates go by you and pick to your hearts desire. Right when they open at 5pm, there were only rolls, various salads, and desserts on the conveyor belt. By 5:30pm, sushi and sashimi began to join the lot. So if you are here for the sushi and sashimi, you may want to time your arrival appropriately. The fish is fresh and the pricing is appropriate, so I would definitely come again and even bring a few friends/family members. The tonkatsu ramen was okay at best for me. It is definitely better overall than the majority of other venues I've been at in South Florida. The noodles are the thick kind and were pretty good, The soft boiled egg was great and flavorful. The pork belly slices felt like they needed to be cooked for at least a couple hours longer to give you the "soft melt in your mouth" meat you would normally strive for. Also, you could tell that it had been frozen previously. The broth also had a hint of the umami/savory sensation, but felt watered down upon first sip. As you reached toward the bottom of the bowl though, the flavor did improve in the broth. While my boyfriend enjoyed the tonkatsu ramen, I couldn't help but feel a little disappointed. Nonetheless, it still probably beats driving to Miami.

The best Japanese food I have had, the sushi is very fresh and the service was great too!! I'll be back very soon!!

Came here for lunch with some friends. Considerably cheaper than most sushi places. Love the conveyor belt idea! They gave us complimentary chicken yakitori. Good food but I like my rolls freshly made. A little cold for my taste. Will probably be back again to explore the menu. Nice layout and love the decor. Place looks clean and tidy. A plus!!

This place is pretty mediocre. We ordered $42 worth of food and I just felt cheaped out. Yuzu Kaiten Sushi is basically Sushigami at Sawgrass Mills Mall but in large scale restaurant form. Futomaki rolls tasted really funny, tasted like what Chinese supermarkets smell like. Udon gave my mouth a bad aftertaste when I finished all of it and I'm 98% sure it's MSG. I didn't feel great after eating their udon. We got green tea tempura for dessert and the presentation for that was cute and it was yummy but really how do you screw up frying some ice cream. Most of their sushi dishes consists of 90% IMITATION CRAB MEAT and 5% rice and 5% cucumber or some random thing. I guess if you like chemical meat go ahead and try it. Oh, and let's not forget the crap ton of sauce they use on their sushi. Why does sushi need sauce? That's an abomination in my culture. . Half the stuff on the conveyer belt seemed pretty questionable. Their cheesecake looked like Costco cheesecake but old. It also smelled like a public bathroom. I don't think I'll be back here. Ever. Do not waste your money on mediocre food and service. I think I'd rather eat at Shinju (4 minutes drive) and that is saying a lot. And our waitress wasn't rude or anything but boy are they slow. It took a long time to get her attention to ask for the check and we're really patient people and understand how tough the restaurant industry is. Their menus aren't even proper menus, they're basically take out menus. However, I did like their booths and how you can't see the people in front or behind you, so the seating is pretty intimate and private. As for the prices, it's just OK. It's not exactly cheap but not very expensive either. If you want good quality Japanese cuisine I suggest Go Bistro and Sasaya Japanese Market. I know some Davie residents might lean towards Yuzu Sushi more because it's so close to many homes and apartments but the drive is worth it and I'd rather drive to get good quality fresh food than this trash. Hate to break it to you but just because you've got a fancy conveyer belt doesn't make up for your crappy food. Up your standards, fellow Yelpers. I say that in the friendliest way possible so please don't take it the wrong way ha ha.

I just had their bento box. It was decent. But my friend suggested to get "Omakase" which you tell them how much you want to spend and they prepare the plate of all sorts of goodies. Next time, I have to do that!!

Unique experience of getting your sushi. Love the idea of conveyor belt. Yummy food! Tried their Ramen and it was OK. I only like their sushi but definitely going back here.

love his place! Modern and new decorations. Love the sushi belt that goes around. This was our first time here. We had very fresh sashimi's from Japan!! We love and had Omakase = Chef Menu. And the staffs are nice. Can't wait to come back !

The sushi was better this time around. For a rotary style sushi it's good. The wild fire was my favorite and it's only 2.25 for two. We will be back.

Super cheap, super tasty, super fun! This place is awesome! I like that you can sample a bunch of different types of sushi and for only like $15 or less you're full. Each plate ranges from $1.50 to $6.50. Plus they give you a free sample of delicious yakitori. I'm definitely gonna make this a regular spot so I can try everything. What a great find!

I've been here quite a few times for lunch. The sushi train is awesome with a variety of fresh rolls. I highly recommended it! The bento boxes are delicious and the tonkatsu ramen is great.

Great experience. It was my first time at a belt sushi place and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The waiter gave us a free appetizer which was delish of course. I've had better sushi but the ambience and service were fantastic.

Very fresh & tasty baby octopus salad! Had 2 bowlfuls. Irresistable. All fish was perfect, lovely & fresh fresh fresh. *Very private booths *Low prices *Huge selection *Convenient & fun *Unintrusive, efficient service *Ample free parking.

Tried this for the first time tonight. Location is super convenient. The food was good, but nothing spectacular. Not enough sushi variety in my opinion - wish they had more raw options. Thai donuts were really good though. Would come again for convenience probably, but not my first choice.

Got the chance to try out this new sushi place on Tuesday. It's right across the street from the tower shops. I absolutely loved it! My sister & I got there a little after they opened up for their dinner hours. There were a couple of other tables already occupied. Our servers were really nice and checked back to see if we needed anything. We got started with a couple sushi plates off of the conveyer and they were all delicious! Yuzu offers the sushi (4 pieces) on the conveyer belt, as well as a menu which you can order off of. The menu has extended choices for sushi (full rolls, nigiri, sashimi), as well as other items such as bento boxes, donburi, ramen, udon, and yakitori. The good thing about this kaiten sushi place is that they only put up a couple (maybe two or three) plates of each item at a time. This keeps the items fresh. The refrigeration in the closed conveyer belt also helps with that. A little while after we started eating, one of the servers brought us an order of complimentary beef yakitori. These were pretty tasty -- well-seasoned and cooked. I also had an order of the 'egg omelette' (tamago) nigiri, it was pretty good. It also didn't take too long to come out at all. The chefs seem to put a lot of care into making their food. The prices are reasonable, the staff are amazingly friendly, and the food is of great quality. The best sushi I've ever had? It's not that, but if you're looking for a quick bite of sushi, this is a great choice. While the food is a solid 4 - 4.5 stars in my book, I'm a sucker for great service, which is why I'm rounding up.

It was a clean establishment and the sushi was pretty good. I'm not sure if we arrived at the wrong time but some of the sushi looked like it was riding around for a while. The staff was a little hard to get their attention and I don't think they were really busy at the time maybe 5 tables?

This place is awesome! The staff was so friendly. Love that you can sit and eat immediately. The sushi was fresh and the rolls were delicious! Love that this place is within walking distance from house! Will be a regular for now on.

  • William F.

Dont let the fact that its a conveyer belt dissuade you, it was fresh and delicious! Usually don't give reviews but wow! Look at all these exclamations I'm using! We got a 20 dollar special plate of sashimi, and it was great, and plenty! The Nigiri was okay, but the sashimi was on point and fresh, even from the belt. The staff is very friendly and the owner/chef came out and showed us the fish, and chatted with us. Superb service and quality food. Will have to come back and try their ramen and other menu items.

    (5)
  • Suzette H.

The food was great and fresh! The staff was very pleasant and helpful. We ordered from the menu as well and chose a few items from the conveyor belt. Loved all. The hot green tea was also great! Will definitely be back!

Walked in here with high hopes of having a nice Japanese sushi lunch at a decent fair price. This place is off the charts high on prices. I mean really a half a roll for 6.25? I can go down the street to the sushi buffet and get the same quality for 12.95 AYCE ... You serve yourself here too... What gives? Clean place, brand new, but just a tad high for the area

    (1)
  • Jeff H.

This was a unique experience I am torn. The variety was not a lot but the service was awesome. I would have liked a little bit more explanation of what was on the conveyor belt bs the menu. They are limited on alcohol if that is your choice. I will say it is for the quick fix for Shushi on step above publix. I give them a higher rating for cleanness, friendless, and attentiveness.

    (4)
  • Anastasia M.

Awesome prices for the fresh tasty rolls you get. I got the awesome Dragon Roll I think was the name. For dine in you get 4 pieces for 3.25. I got it to go and they only sell it as an 8 piece for 6.50. Great deal either way. Will definitely go back with friends to dine :)

Great sushi and bento boxes at a super decent prize!!! I wont say is amazing or the best sushi but for the price it is great and you can ask for the chefs special which chef makes woth lits of imported fish from japan! The service i have to say has been 5 stars!

    (4)
  • Helena C.

This place is the best. The fish is so fresh. The owner told me that the fish was imported all the way from Japan. He takes sushi to a whole other level. I have been looking for the same taste all over America. I finally found it. Sushi lovers will certainly enjoy the meal.

The only reason I can't give it 5 is because I haven't been to Japan. That said, we are Sushi Snobs who recently relocated to the area from Los Angeles. We've been looking and looking for some authentic Sushi in Fort Lauderdale. Well, this place is the real deal. Sure they have the standard fair (rolls, etc) which was very fresh with a wide variety available. Conveyor belt delivered, I did see many different rolls with 4 pieces or so per plate. Nice way to sample at very reasonable prices. I tend to look for what I don't see on the menu. I asked our waitress if there was any special off menu fish available. She said yes and within a few minutes the chef came out to discuss all the fresh fish he had that was flown in that morning from Japan. I ordered a sampler of all those far East delectables. Just awesome!! As the dish was being served, the chef came over to discuss each variety on the plate and brought out a special sauce for one particular type of Sashimi. Beautiful presentation, served on a bed of ice and daikon. Only a couple of minor issues (for us)... We found the sushi rice to be sweet, the crawfish salad was prepared with a bit too much mayo (and lacked seasoning, I would add Massago, maybe some green onion and spicy sesame oil ) , and I wish they had "real" Crab available as an option for their rolls. Very small points considering the awesome sushi, and outstanding service. They will know us by name very soon. Don't pass up this hidden gem.

  • Jose B.

I've been eating here almost every day for the last week! Totally love this place. It has a sushi conveyer belt that goals around your table the whole time you eat. You can pick your favorite rolls off as they pass by. Sushi is fresh and good quality fish. Highly recommend you check this new gem out!!

    (5)
  • Josh V.

Overall not a good experience. Sushi was overall "ok." Buffet quality, but that is what I expected coming here. Convenient if you are in a hurry. Service left a lot to be desired. The hostess was not welcoming. And out waiter seemed to have more important things goong on than seeing to his tables. We were done eating trying to flag down a waiter for a good 10 minutes before anyone acknowledged our desire for the check. He then left before I could hand it back, and we waited another 10 minutes for our waiter to come back and take my credit card. It was not a busy time, so this level of service was unacceptable. I might come back sometime for a quick lunch, maybe, but Yuzu is definitely NOT a date night restaurant.

Best sushi in South Florida! So authentic, so unique, so fresh, so delicious. The chef was very professional and even gave us plenty of freebies. The staff so kind and polite. I would definitely suggest this place over any other sushi place in Broward. If you're a real sushi buff, go with the chef special!

First visit and I was very happy with the selection and service. You have option of ordering from the menu or serving yourself from the passing conveyor belt of dishes tableside. Prices vary $1.50-$6.25 for 2 or 4 pieces per plate. Will definitely return.

    (5)
  • James G.

Fun, clean place with really good food. The service was the best part, as they were very friendly, fast, and attentive. We really loved the salmon sushi, and I was partial to the Dragon Roll. Definitely a fun place to take your date; who doesn't love a conveyor belt with food?!

  • Andrea E.

The a small place with pretty good service. The waiters hover a bit but at least they're always there. I ordered the bento box with curry chicken and was disappointed. The rice tasted a too oily and I didn't like how the curry sauce was made. My recommendation is to just pull plates from the amazing conveyer belt they have! My husband and I got sushi, drinks, and desert for about $45. The sushi is really good and I love that you can see the food and pick what you want

    (4)
  • Alice C.

My mom saw an ad in the Chinese newspaper about this place. So for dinner we decided to give this restaurant a try. Service was definitely on point. But the food was mediocre at best. Sushi and other small dishes are served on a conveyer belt that circles throughout the entire restaurant. You can pick up whichever plate you want and not have to worry about waiting too long. Each colored small plate has a set price and depending on how many plates you have it will determine your bill. You can also order some items on their menu which isn't featured on the sushi belt. Not sure if I will be back to visit.

  • Dalise V.

Really enjoyed the food here. I am not a big sushi fan but they offer a wide variety so I tried the chicken karaage and was EXTREMELY SATISFIED! It came with an awesome sauce and each time Ive ordered my food to go its always been steaming hot still! That is worth 5 stars to me! Their conveyor belt is pretty neat too! Definitely recommend this place!

Not bad. Had the spicy seafood ramen. Definitely a strong kim chi taste. So only order if you really like kimchi. Sushi was okay and sashimi was fresh. Overall, not bad at all. I will try again and next time I'll try their grilled items.

Super clean. Super friendly place. I always have loved the idea of the sushi on conveyor belts. This one is enclosed and refrigerated so all the sushi stays as fresh as possible. I just moved to Davie and was desperately seeking a sushi place. Lucky for me this one just opened up. Will for sure come again.

Fish is NOT fresh, hair in my noodle soup, the chef put fish bone with the head as decoration on my sashimi plate, and the fish skeleton stinks so bad, wasabi was tasteless.... Never trust a sushi restaurant that is not own by Japanese ..... Want real fresh and real Japanese food- go to Marumi !!!!

  • Gina C.

Convenient conveyor belt sushi restaurant if you need a quick sushi fix. The server asked if we wanted to speak with the chef for any special requests which I thought was a great service. The chef came to our table to offer what specialties he could make for us. Extremely accommodating. Fresh sashimi. Very fairly priced. Will definitely keep this in rotation.

Best sushi ever. So fresh and delicious. Hidden gem....highly recommend. Avid sushi lovers and foodies....Ask for chef's special.....you will not be disappointed. • L G.

First the disclaimer... I went at an off time. Now the bad news... minor selection going around and around and things going around and around for a long time. I was waiting for a JB roll which never came around so finally I had to ask the waitress to get one made for me. And I picked several salmon sushi off the belt as it passed by and you could tell on two of them they'd been going around and around for awhile. For the same price I could have gone down the street to the Shinju sushi buffet, had it fresh, and had it faster. I've heard about the conveyor belt (told it was a train) and wanted to experience it so, been there, bought that, don't want the T-shirt.

    (2)

Absolutely legit. I loved the selection on the conveyer belt and the wonderful atmosphere. Prices are very fair and the quality was fine.

Went here cause so many good reviews. Got there about an hour or so before it closed on a Sunday and boy was it an experience. The waitress was very pushy and rushed us thru the entire meal. I didn't find the sushi too great either but the waitress had a really bad attitude toward our whole group. My friend asked for a saki shot and beer. He had 1 beer before that and it was about closing time so she told him he was too drunk and wouldn't bring it out. Terrible experience, I live around the block and eat sushi often and will never be returning.

This place is amazing. Super fresh and very clean. The staff is quick so is the food. I've been here three times this past week. My husband loves it too. So far we have had the sushi conveyor belt and a salmon bento box. Nothing has disappointed. My new sushi spot.

I went to Yuzu 2wks ago, I was impressed the places are! 1st the server is a lil unknown abt Japanese items, little disappointed I guess! they r new n inexperienced. But that's fine w/me I'll give them 2nd chance to learn n trained. That's go back to food. I'm not crazy abt the( I call them tutu train sushi) we have couple plate but sashimi wasn't cold enough. But I saw some table have Chef prepared to the table, so I ask him if he could do the same for me n my sister. Indeed he did n he did a fabulous job. Chef Curt ur the best. Everything was fresh n high standards. thx. I went a wk later cuz Chef Curt say he have Toro, Toro is not easy to get. I differently will not miss that. This time i bring my BF. This time I get to try ramen noodles too N yakitori. Yakitori some good some ok, but I wish whoever do the grilled person. pls dun over pouring too much sauce on yakitori, I dun like my grill stuff full of sauce! I'm eating what the flavor of the food not swt sauce. Ramen noodle is awesome my BF enjoy very much. For some person on the Go, conveyer belt is good for them. For me I'm not crazy abt it. If u want the freshness my choice is ask CHEF to prepare at ur table, I think u would b amazed. Over all this place is differenly I will recommend. Chef Curt delicate his passion to severed the best for all his customers, thx. I'm a very picky eater. But this place is worth goin to.

I have been here 3 times already. I didn't want to write a review until I get a better feel about this place. At first impression, I wasn't too impressed. The reason being was that the conveyor belt's selection was minimal. The next two times I ventured towards the menu and the Sushi Chef Special. I have to admit i was more pleased about the food. The service so far has been great. The servers were attentive. I would definitely go back to try the rest of the menu.

Best sushi I've had in the Plantation area. I had the Miami, rainbow, & dragon rolls. Wife had the "rock'n roll". We split a roll, I forget the name. We both had salads, I also had the cheese cake. There is a conveyer belt right by the table so the food just keeps teasing you as you wait for whatever it is you want to come by. If in a rush you can ask your waiter to track it down or if you want multiple rolls like I ordered it came on a beautiful decorated plate. Everything I tried was delicious. I asked the wife to get the wheel-barrel so she could roll me out of here. This will definitely be a place we visit again. It's new and it shows. Very clean atmosphere, bathrooms are clean and nice looking. Some places cheap out on little things and that distracts from the overall experience. As long as this place maintains quality and the rest of the staff is like our waiter this is going to be a successful business. I highly recommend!!!

one of the best authentic sushi place in town. I've been living in Miami for six years, and this is the very first time I feel like Im eating in Japan. everything is so fresh. The boss and waitress are very friendly. would definitely revisit again.

  • Eric W.

The food is great. Very cheap price for sushi. The staff was EXTREMELY nice. Even let me sample a piece of sashimi for free which has never happened to me before at a sushi restaurant. The rolls were large even the 4 piece ones and everything tasted fresh. The atmosphere is very pleasant, they have a new age vibe and even have a conveyor belt with plates of sushi if your into that. I had a great time with my fiancé and her two friends. Both of them spent under 5 dollars and was full. The head chief was so nice it really was a breath of fresh air. Most restaurant don't know how to treat their patrons but yuzu sushi does. I will definitely be back and highly recommend.

This place has great prices, great food, and friendly staff. They have an sushi plate conveyer belt that winds past each table at the resturant. As far as prices go, they are cheaper than most other sushi resturants. I will definitely be eating here more and would recommend it to anyone.
