This pizza was very good. Made fresh to order. Staff was very attentive and friendly. I had the margherita pizza. My son had the carne compagnia? I'm sure my spelling is off. It was very delicious with ham, chicken breast, pepperoni and sausage. They deliver also. The pizzas are 12 inches in size. Even with the thin crust it is a lot to eat. I will definitely go back.

The food at Piola is authentic Italian and no less. Despite the many locations, Piola's food tastes rich and homemade. Be sure to check in to receive the amazing, free margarita pizza!

I am a big fan of Piola and I am debating between giving them 3 or 4 stars. The food is awesome, the prices are great and the servers are friendly. They suffer from being one of the only decent places to eat in this God-forsaken town of overpriced and underwhelming food options. What that translates into is HUGE LINES of people Friday and Saturday night, most of whom have no sense of decorum or manners.

I have been holding out writing the review until I had tried their pizzas a few times for consistency because it was hard to believe the pizza was this good without driving to South Beach and going to my favorite Fratalli la Bufala. I have found myself coming to this restaurant at least ten times and the pizzas are great and the toppings are not just the traditional salami, sausage and cheese they always have some interesting ingredient that throws a twist to the pizza in a good way. My favorite is the Napoli it has anchovies calamita olives and for the twist sun dried tomatoes I ask them to cook it with red pepper flakes to make it spicy. It reminded of the pizza I would get in Napoli even though this is a north Italy pizza chain, for American standards it taste close enough like Napoli pizza, the birth place of pizza. I have lived in Napoli on and off for twelve years and my wife is from there. It is difficult to give american Italian restaurants a good review but this one deserves it. I am thankful they have arrived my neighborhood because the other Napoli pizza restaurant here Bellini is inconsistent, crowded and over prices. On contrary Piola, has impeccable service the wine is not overpriced. The atmosphere is great for families, so don't worry about bringing young kids.

So I had high hopes for this restaurant from all the awesome reviews it had. When we got to there they told us the wait was 10 Minutes. We waited over 50 minutes to be seated while the hostess sat 4 parties who arrived after us and they did not have prior reservations. We asked after the first two parties were seated if we would be seated soon and the hostess said we were next. Three more parties were seated after this.We asked for inside seating and they say us outside even though they had a table inside. After we were seated we waited 10 minutes and still no one greeted us or took a drink order so we left. It seems they obviously did not want our business. Really disappointing.

First time visitor. Food was fresh and very tasty. The servers were pleasant and happy to work here. Good ambiance, and we were offered delicious thin crust pizza as a courtesy. Good customer service. I'll definitely be back!

Amazing!!! Loved the friendly atmosphere. Loved the pizza and the drinks. Awesome service. Cannot wait to take my children and let my friends and family know about this restaurant. Waiter Aldo, was great guiding us throughout the menu with patience and a smile. They gave us a delicious complementary Lime Gelato. Oh we loved it!! THANK YOU for being a huge part of a perfect date for my husband and I.

The 29th of of every month is all u can eat HOMEMADE gnocchi in a variety of homemade sauces. They melt in your mouth and it's hard to choose a favorite sauce. Pizza is great too. The minestrone soup was very nice and large portion. Don't miss coming here.

I met five other friends here for what they call "pizza time" , Monday through Thursday from 4 PM to 5 PM all pizzas are six dollars from 5 PM to 6 PM all pizzas are seven dollars. We went there last night which was Wednesday and the wine bottles were half-price as well . Aldo was our server and he was just top notch, really attentive and thoughtful service. Five of us ordered a pizza we had wine and we ordered several salads to share for the table oh yeah and Nutella pizza for dessert . The salads were gorgeous and tasted great. The pizzas were terrific. They sent each of us an after dinner drink on the house, lemon ice cream with vodka sounds strange but it was delicious. I will look forward to going back here again and telling my friends about it.

My gf and I come here before the movies as regular customer here since they opened and food and service are always excellent. Good fresh pizza and pastas, legit italian owners. We recommend the penne rosate for pasta. Def worth a try.

The food was okay. Huge portion was a plus except I couldn't finish my pizza. Not bad, but not the best I've had either. Friendly bartender was a plus. Seems like they have good specials.

Fire oven Italian pizza. We order two 12' personal pizzas which is the only size you will fine in their menu. This palace is only been here for four months but you wouldn't know it by the loyal clientele who use to drive to the Hallandale location and now flutter to this place. On a busy Friday night we were sat immediately, and waiter on short there after. The pizzas were hot, cheese, and delicious, they had a thin fire roared crust... My favorite. I order the drink special, which I had return because it was very strong, this seems to be the norm with all their drinks since my husbands drink was also extremely strong. The girl was very polite and apologize for the drink not being to my liking. Despite being a busy night our waitress was attentive, polite, and present, to the point where she offer to have my last slice of pizza warm up in the over for me before finishing my dinner. If you have not yet it, stop by.

We had dinner and they had only been open for 1.5 week we tried the meatballs they were great but even better was the Pizza our waiter recommend the Rio de Janeiro it was amazing, next time we will probably add another meat and want to try the pasta. Even better when we were there it was Ladies night so wine was free, they have Italian wine which was great.

Excellent food and great service. All pizzas and salads are delicious. Try pizza moderna and Hawaiian. The drinks are great too...caipirinha was excellent. Would definitely recommend! Best pizzeria in the area!

This was my first time here at Piolo; It's close to our home and was open late so two big pluses. Atmosphere and staff was superb but for some reason I didn't think the food was all that. I ordered a pizza and a pasta- don't remember the names of my entrees on the top of my head but it was basically a veggie pizza and a four cheese pasta. Very basic nothing all that. Maybe it was the items I chose? Will try it again another time. Hopefully I'll have a better experience with the food next time.

This spot is new to the neighborhood. Went here one afternoon for lunch. Our server took about 5 minutes before he greeted us, other than that, our meals were good. I had the soup and gnocchi, the soup was good, but I didn't get that wow factor from the gnocchi. The ambiance is nice and trendy! I'd give it another try.

From the other reviews I was ready for some great pizza. That's NOT what we got. The pizza was soggy and NOT good at all. Paul Newman frozen pizza is way better. We won't be going here for pizza again.

Excellent place, food and environment! I believe the most authentic Italian place I have been in a while. Our server was really helpful and made sure that we had a pretty good dining experience. Prices are very reasonable, and you actually get more that you paid. I will recommend it 100%

Amazing, never heard of Piola's before, but now I am definitely a fan!!! From we walked in the door we were treated well, the greeter at the door had a smile and a welcome. We sat outside, yes in humid FL, and we were totally comfortable. It was my first visit and our waiter, Vlad, was very willing to answer my questions about the menu. I had the white pizza with onions and mozzarella cheese, YUM!!! My friend, who had been there before, had the pizza with brie and smoked salmon. Yes, I'm from New York so I know good pizza and this was very good, the crust was amazing. I'm still thinking about the DELICIOUS tiramisu we shared. Good for families, date night or night out with the friends. We will be back.

I went to Piola location in Pembroke Pines and I've expected more. Service was slow and pizza was not as nearly good as in the location in Hallandale. I am disappointed. Not sure if I would go back there soon.

When the decorum beats the food that should say it all. I was truly excited to try the place after reading so much about it but I must admit I was left extremely disappointed. We went for lunch which at the time only had 3 tables occupied. Figured the service would be quicker because of this but still waited almost 15 minutes for our waiter. Though he was friendly, he kept forgetting our order & had to come back twice to verify what we wanted. Since it was our first time I always like to ask recommendations which he could not offer. We ordered the meatballs for appetizers. They were no bigger and tasted just like those out of a Chef Boyardee can. We ordered the lunchtime special; I had the chop-chop salad & the carolina pizza . My nephew had the ceasar salad with the alfredo pasta. My salad came with a preset salad dressing that was extremely tart ( I ended up using the balsamic vinegar) and the pizza lacked flavor. My companion's salad looked good but the alfredo pasta was nothing to brag about either in presentation or taste from what I was told. Our lunch came to almost $35. Could have done better all the way around at the local mom & pop pizza place. Lesson learned . Never again.

Wow I love this place and it does help a little bit that only takes me 5 minutes to get there from my house lol. I came here with my friend to have some pizza and brew ask for the lunch special menu. Fyi if you go there at lunch they won't give you the special menu menu unless you ask for it and with your check in to Yelp you get a free cheese pizza. great deal and the pizza forget about it you could taste the freshness of the ingredients the pizza definitely awesome love coming here one of my favorite spots

Great place to eat! I used to go to the Piola on Lincoln Road, Miami Beach all the time and having recently moved to Davie, FL I was pretty excited to find out that they had a location here! Not only is the food excellent but the service is great too! The servers are very attentive to their customers. Excellent place to eat! Everything on this menu is fantastic. Came here with friends and family and I had the Rimini pizza which has ricotta cheese topped with smoked salmon and parsley. My friend had the Rio De Janeiro which had oven pulled chicken breast, catupiry cheese and a dash of parsley. Incredible! As an appetizer my husband and I shared the Italia Unita which had a daily selection of sliced meats and cheeses served with bread and jam. Incredible! Visit this place, it will not disappoint!

We have been going to Piolas since 2007. This place never disappoints. I've been to many different ones, and this is one of the best (maybe because is newer?) The environment and service are great to spend some time there. Their Pizza is the best you can ever have. They are not your typical pizza (ny style or papa johns or whatever), no, this is made with the best cheese and ingredients there are, many different ones. Their pasta is great, too, but man, that pizza is one to die for. Too bad i can only eat half or 2/3 of one. Before i would eat mine and my wife left overs!!! Talking about left overs, next day this pizza taste even better if you heat it up in the oven!!! Okay, now to their bar, while they have a small selection of cocktails in the menu, be assured they will be the great, too. Their Caipirinhas are the best ever. I have tried them in many places, made them at home, but Piola's always comes on top, no matter the location. They use fresh natural juices for the drink. Right when you order them. I mean, can you say that about any other restaurant or bar? They also have many other rum, whiskey/bourbon selection. I also order lemonades for the kids. It is really good. It is not just squeezed lemons... they put some whole lemons in the blender for few seconds! It comes out really delicious! Their management seems to be on top of things there. The employees are happy to work there. I usually talk to them a lot since I am a frequent customer. I keep always referring people, who immediately become frequents, too. I mean, you gotta share the love, right? Enjoy their food!

The pizza at Piola was really good! They have an extensive list of pizzas, both regular and white. They bring out bread with olive oil, cheese, vinegar and other pizza toppings while you wait for your pizza. I do think they have too many pizzas on their menu too, which isn't a bad thing for some people! It just makes it more difficult to choose as a lot of those pizzas are really similar to the other ones. The pizza took like 10 minutes tops to come out from when we had ordered. I like that their pizza is thin crust so you don't feel disgustingly full from all of the bread without enjoying the pizza toppings. I had the San Daniele and it was topped with prosciutto. Delicious!!! Boyfriend had the Quattro Formaggi and enjoyed his as well. I like that they have really good pizza specials for the type of whole pie, personal pizzas they offer. We were able to get a free pizza from a coupon in one of the neighborhood advertising magazines they put in our mailbox so definitely keep an eye out for those!

What a great find! This place is modern and the food and service are great. This is located in the cinemark plaza. I found out this is a chain restaurant but it truly does not feel like it at all. The restaurant is big, clean, and everything looks new. They have a great wine and beer selection on tap (found a new favorite Schöfferhofer). We ordered a ceasar salad which for me beat outback's (yes they make a mean ceasar salad). We also got a pizza can't remember the name but it had delicious spicy sausage. My only complaint is that I wish it had more meat. I really enjoyed this place. It has this exciting vibe about it. Can't wait to come back and try some of the pasta dishes. If you go ask for Johan, probably one of the best servers we've had in a long time and the reason why they're getting 4 stars.

  • Ruth C.

BEST pizza in all of South Florida. Thin crust and made in a wood fire oven with any of your favorite toppings. The crust is crunchy, yet the texture is elastic. The cheese melts in your mouth. Everything is fresh and true Italian. The staff is friendly and VERY attentive. (Johan and his manager David were awesome)The decor is very modern, yet rustic, and versatile. Great for a girls night out or a romantic date with your s.o. They have special drinks of the day. And PLEASE!!!! For desert you must try their torta nera. It will delight ALL your senses. Take advice from a pizza aficionado: Piola is the BEST pizza you've ever had!!!

Absolutely fabulous pizza and salads. The service is phenomenal. The waiter Johan was attentive and the beer selection was excellent! Nothing bad to say. This place has exceeded my expectations.

One can't ever say that I am not a cheap date! Last night husband and I had a pre-movie dinner at Piola for $25 and enjoyed it very much. Granted our meal included a free Margherita Pizza with our Yelp check in, an $8.95 value-great deal!!!! We also had a Carbonara Pizza ($12.95), Chicken Caesar Salad ($11.95), and still had plenty to take home. Both pizzas were great. Piola's pizzas are all individual sized but they are pretty big. The crust is super thin and for me, they have just the right amount of sauce and cheese. The toppings are very subtle. I could barely taste the egg and bacon on the Carbonara Pizza. On another visit, we got the Parma Pizza with roasted eggplant and I remember it being a little light on the topping as well. Being a pizza purist however, the Margherita Pizza is still my favorite. Be aware that Piola does not have a full Italian menu. Pizza is the real star here. There are however some Antipasti, five meat dishes, salads, and a few pastas. We have tried the gnocchi which is fantastic. I even believe that once a month Piola has an all you can eat Gnocchi night. Dangerous! Piola also had many other specials to watch out for. I think if kids come in their school uniforms at a certain time they can get a discount. There is also live music at on some nights. One night we saw a singer who was truly talented and a joy to listen to. The service was polite and fast. Pedro took great care of us but if we needed anything, all staff members did not hesitate to come by. I truly appreciated that we came in an hour before our movie and we were able to make it out in time without a problem. For an informal, quick and easy meal, Piola does not disappoint! Go get your free Margherita pizza with Yelp check in while the offer still lasts!

Hold on folks this is going to be a long one. Pizza is my bae. Seriously, I LOVE PIZZA. I stumbled upon this place by accident oh happy day accident. Let's see - please order the ham+pineapple cheese pizza it is far too good for anyone NOT to eat. Best thin pizza I have had in Miami - new york is a different story. Drink menu - these bartenders are FANTASTIC I had two caipirinha which were refreshing (this is usually a Brazilian drink) for desert don't even bother ordering a menu order the tiramisu - second best I have ever had & trust me I am the tiramisu queen over here. It is relativity decent pricing for Italian food. I have gone around 3 times since my first encounter and I can say with complete honesty almost everything is good. Ranging from pizza to cheese plates (oh my gosh cheese plates) to full course pasta.

I was not impressed with the hoards of people waiting outside and blocking the whole entrance inside to the pick up area. I had tried for delivery but the wait time was over an hour so I went in to pick it up. I think the place is the latest craze and in 2 years it will be empty like so many other places in the area. The pizza was small, cold and didn't hardly have any sauce. The crust was good but not worth the drive, the crowd or the price. Just to be fair, I will go back on a week night and try something other than the pizza. Out of the whole place I liked the bar the best and would probably stop in sometime for a drink. It's small but cute and they seem to know how to make a good drink. The funniest thing happened when the bartender passed me my pizza and threw me the slip for me to sign before taking off. He had given me a pencil to sign for the charge on my credit card! Really? I can understand being busy, but I am not about to sign anything in pencil.

Great atmosphere, good food, good service. We stopped in for a quick bite after a movie. First time here and I must say I was pleasantly surprised. I'm not a pizza fan by far but our pizza was fresh and delicious. Our waitress was friendly and the service was fast. Kudos. Would definitely return and recommend.

Came on a Thursday night when ladies get unlimited wine. The place is packed. Service is a little slow but that's understandable. Went to the bar for some wine while we waited for our table. As soon as we got our drinks our table was ready. I checked in on Yelp and got a free Margahrita pizza! So cool! Hubby got the steak salad. It was very good. The pizza was excellent also. I'm partial to thin crust pizza so it was what I wanted. Maybe more basil on top would have made it perfect. They also had a guitar player inside which was very nice. It's a little loud because it's crowded but great place for groups. Defiantly recommend Piola. Will be going back soon.

This is my mom's and I go to spot whenever we're in Broward. I have never had a dish I don't like and the servers are ALWAYS pleasant! Everything is made fresh to order - pizza, pasta, soups, antipastos and more! When I check in I make sure to collect my free margarita pizza to go lol. Piola is great for whatever your in the mood for. Tapas and drinks, heavy meal, light meal, healthy meal, not so healthy meal lol. I always order a schöfenhoffer (grapefruit beer) *SP* highly recommended.

3.5 stars. Waaaayyyyyy too many pizzas on the menu. Just when you think you've read them all, they have another section on white pizzas. Just pick about ten and do those really, really well. The crust is thin, but kind of limp. Not soggy, just not enough body to hold the ingredients. Folding turned out to be the only way to go. I used the free Margherita Pizza with the Yelp app. Two problems with this--one, a cheese pizza arrived instead of a Margherita. We were on a schedule to see a movie, and the person who got it said it was fine. Then when the bill came, the "free" pizza was on the bill, even though the waiter had actually taken my phone from my hand and pressed all the buttons to "verify" this offer. I had a drink with pineapple and mint that was actually quite good--not too sweet. Still prefer Doughboys pizza to this.

Piola is a great little spot in the Sheridan Shoppes. We've been here a couple of times and have yet to try something we did not like. We scored with a free margherita pizza upon check in (already winning!), which was delicious. You can't go wrong with any of the gnocci dishes, and the chicken parm is crunchy and tender. We tried the tiramisu today and it was excellent! Overall, great atmosphere, service, and food. Keep doing what you do piola!

You only get one chance to make a first impression so when you bring hard, cold bread to the table you've already started on the wrong foot. If you can't get the bread right, how can you possible get an entree right? Got here early to beat the "lunch rush" only realize no one comes here. And after my lunch I can understand why. Our server was friendly, not too knowledgeable or experienced in waiting tables but he wasn't bad. We ordered a Chicken Parmesan(slightly burned and overwhelmed in cheese) and a Salmon w/Penne in a pink sauce(menu stated tomato sauce not pink) . Both dishes were hearty and both were decent, not great. I was a bit disappointed that during lunch none of our meals came with soup or salad , and we were already upset about the horrible hard bread. Grand total 32.76 for a lunch with no soup or salad, rock hard bread and two glasses of tap water. I would not come back even with the free pizza coupon from checking in on Yelp.

First time here, we were looking for somewhere to go for dinner before our movie. We were going to go to the sushi place a few doors down, but decided it would take to long... I am glad we kept looking and saw this place! Our server was Alexis, very sweet, got our order correct and brought our check right away when asked, so we weren't late for our movie. My husband and I both got pizza. He got the meats and I got mushrooms, onions and sausage. We loved it and decided it was definitely worth the drive from Cutler Bay to come again. I did see a few reviews about the crust. I will agree, it is not crispy on the bottom, but this didn't bother me. Manager /owner, not sure which, was very nice and checked on us a couple times to be sure everything was okay. Overall, we had a great experience.

Piola is good for the quick and convenient pizza experience. Service was excellent and the weather was fantastic that night too. Unfortunately, I didn't feel like the food quality was up to par. For any Italian or Italian-style restaurant, serving bread is always welcome. Serving cold and not toasted bread, however, is not okay.

Very casual cool dining! The best part is that they're open late and the bar is a nice spot to order a few beers and some appetizers!

  • Jessica D.

Amazing! Defiantly 5 star worthy for the pizza. I've only been here twice and each time ordered different pizzas (so this 5 star review applies only to the pizza, although I'm sure the actual dishes here are just as great). Upon entering you notice that the environment is festive with bright colors and inviting. Being seated each time was a breeze no wait. The staff here are extremely friendly and knowledgable they offer honest advice with a smile. At any pizzeria you should expect parmesan cheese but this place gives you the freshest one I have ever had in any resturant, and the best part is it's on the table! (nothing is worse than being ask would you like some cheese? and they come out with the little hand grinder and say tell me when to stop) Besides Piola using thee freshest ingredients they bake their pizza to perfection! Thin crust, authentic pizza that does not leave you feeling overly full and with regret. I've tried four pizzas already and they all have impressed me with their unique taste and combinations! If you're in the mood for pizza or even if you're not you should come give this place a try. It has become my new favorite pizza place.

Good Italian food in a strip mall in Weston. Thank you Yelp, this is why you are such a valuable tool. I would of never stumbled across this place otherwise. Pretty hungry on a weeknight, we sorted by "open now" on the Yelp app. It was getting somewhat late and when we arrived there was literally not one person in the restaurant. A couple of gentlemen having beers outside, but that's about it. No biggie, it's a Wednesday night in Weston....it was expected. We take a seat and the waiter immediately tells us they have buy one get one free entrees Mon-Thurs after 10pm! Damn, what a deal! You can mix and match pastas and pizzas - so we did just that. First I started with a carpaccio - while it was a massive serving - it wasn't too amazing. It was good, but not great. I don't think I'd order it again. The server asked if we wanted some bread for the table, sure, why not! I didn't realize that the bread was $7. It was some damn good ciabatta but wasn't expecting it to be so pricey - especially for the size. Next I got a white pizza and the wife got gnocchi. My pizza was incredible. Super thin, crispy crust with ricotta, basil and a few pieces of chopped up tomatoes. It's also a pretty large serving. The gnocchi was probably the best thing we had and luckily the wife was getting full and left me a little to finish off. Dipping the rest of that bread (and my crust) into the sauce that came with the gnocchi was the right thing to do. The service was stellar. Even though they were closing up, our server told us that there was no rush when we asked for the bill. We really just couldn't eat anymore - we were stuffed. He also grabbed an extra table for us before the food came out since just one table is rather small. All around, great service. Their menu is pretty massive - mainly consisting of a variety of pizzas. They even have whole wheat options. Plus some traditional Italian pasta dishes. Will be back for sure to try some of the other items.

Love this place! Hands down on Mother's Day the best treatment ever on a busy day for all Resturant. Piola's food was still on point with the food service and add the extra touch of a complimentary Rose and small box of chocolates. This topped my day on Mother's Day!

Wow, good quality pizza west of I-75!! We were seated immediately on a busy saturday night. I think it has to do with their great staff and quick attention. We ordered two different pizzas: Margherita (got for free through the nifty yelp app at check-in) & Diavola, which had spicy salami. Both came out really hot and the crust was on the thin side, but so yummy! We also ordered two white sangria's, and they were divine. Just the correct amount of sweetness and alcohol combined. I definitely loved their colorful decor! We sat outside this time, as the weather was great and it was very nice. I would definitely come again, as i hear they have ladies nights and an awesome happy hour.

Pizza was not good at all. Basically we ate cheese bread. We got 2 pies- a white pie with prosciutto and tomatoes and a sausage pie. Both had wayyyy too much cheese and a trace of sauce. Crust was ok- but wow. I don't understand all the positive reviews. The place has a nice ambiance but that's about it. Awful pies.

This is my first time in here and the attention was incredible, so kind. Johana was the waitress who served us and she was always keeping an eye on us. The place is beautiful and cozy. The pizza was delicious, perfectly cooked and they use quality ingredients; my husband order the gnocchis day special and it was a wonderful experience because you can taste all of the gnocchis flavors that they have..... Amazing!!!! I recommend this place to all the people that love Italian food because this place deserve 5 stars...! Updated 4/12/15: The Lasagna is delicious, it's the best one that I have had in USA!!! You guys need to try this place...also the service its really good Pedro was our waiter and he was so polite and helpful!

My family discovered this place a couple months ago and we've been back every week since. The food has always been perfect. The staff are super friendly and helpful. It's just one of those restaurants you look forward to going to.

We have come here several times for a couple of months already and have never been less than impressed by the great Italian food that this restaurant serves, it's always DELICIOUS! The service is always great, the place looks in its own way beautiful and cozy. The lasagna is the best lasagna I've ever had in the US, you need to try it out! The best thing I've always seen here is that everyone is genuinely interested in making sure you are having great food and experience, I don't know why I haven't done the review before. Love it, love it, love it!

Good fresh pizza with rare toppings! This is not a typical pizza place, thank god. We got the Bella Napoli(baked eggplant with tomato sauce and mozzarella) as an appetizer which was awesome! Perfectly crunchy even under the tomato sauce and mozzarella. It tasted great lightly dipped in oil and vinegar with a little bit of parmesan sprinkled on. I was torn between the Ortomisto (Roasted eggplants, spinach, roasted sweet peppers and broccoli topped with cherry tomatoes) and the the Quattro Formaggi (Gorgonzola, brie and grated parmesan cheese). I usually always get a pizza with lots of toppings on it so the Ortomisto was my first choice but I really wanted to see what the crust and sauce was like before I started loading it up with toppings, so I got the Quattro Formaggi, which was recommended by our waitress. It was very good, very fresh and perfectly crunchy and creamy. My friend got the Braccio Di Ferro (Ricotta cheese and spinach, he added pepperoni to it), he didn't love that the ricotta cheese was in really thick dollops on the pizza and ended up spreading it out a little thinner, but loved the quality of the pizza and will try something different next time. I brought the free margherita pizza (through yelp deal) back to my mom and she loved it, she said "This is my new pizza place!" All around everyone loved it. We ordered a few different drinks, the Lime Caipirinha was very good, tasted similar to a margarita (this was my first time having one), the Kiwi and Strawberry Caipiroska tasted super fresh and light like summer, the Red Sangria wasn't a big hit but Sangria isn't generally LOVED by us. The WINNER WINNER was definitely the Sgroppino Al Limone (Lemon gelato and Vodka). A desert drink for sure, but super delicious. Shout out to our awesome server Jessyca, she was prompt and helpful and right there when you needed her. We didn't get to try the desert because we were so full but the tiramisu will be a must for next time. Thanks Piola!

A nice twist to pizza. I'm in love with these pizzas, they are so delicious. It's not your average cheese and pepperoni pizza. My favorite is the catupiry

This is the best thin crust pizza I've eaten till date. Very well made with good options for vegetarians. The prices are nominal for an Italian restaurant with good ambience. Amazing service too. Would highly recommend to anyone visiting Miami.

Finally a place you can find good pizza. The only reason why they didn't get five stars is because the restaurant has an aromatherapy smell to it, and I don't like fragrancy smells in restaurants. The pizza is awesome ! Crusty, non-greasy, you can hold it and it won't drop even if it has toppings.

Excellent place to go with family and/or friends!! The food es amazing!! We tryed the Margherita and the Miami Beach pizza, and they were both delicious!! And the kids ate Gnocchi... Perfect!! You can seat inside, with a colorfull decoration, plenty of light. Or you can seat outside, that is so nice ! Definetely one of my new favourite restaurants!!!!

We went here based on reviews. It's good local fare, but it's not 4.5 stars great by any means. I like salt, but food is overly salty. Returned the eggplant-parm style appetizer - I never return food to the kitchen - due to saltiness. The pizza is good - needs more, but higher quality cheese. Tomato sauce too acidic. On the positive side, the drinks are great and the service is very good.

We are regulars...the food is great, their drinks are awesome, and the overall ambiance is fantastic. Price is good. Lets start with the food. Their pizzas are to die for - fresh mozzarella, or pineapple and ham...pizaa bianca...they have everything under the sun in that oven style that makes them so perfect. Their pasta...WOW. My favorite is the Penne Cividalle, creamy sauce with pancetta, rosemary and tomatoes. To die for. My husband loves the bolognese and my kids will never leave anything on the plate when they share a lasagna. The chicken parm is divine - the melted mozzarella and olive on top os the perfect combination with a side of marinara spaghetti. We love this dish. They have the most delicious caipirinhas - strawberry, or kiwi...freshly ground for the drinks and one-of-a-kind. And the service is great. Hands down, one of the best italian/brazilian spots here in Weston. :)

I love Piola and I was so happy to hear that they openend one closer to the Fort Lauderdale area. I used to go to the SoBe location when I still was single and lived on SoBe. Those days are over, but the Pizza love is not!! :) The staff was very attentive, friendly and quick. Can't wait to come back !!

Are you kidding me? How come this place does have such high rating? Atmosphere is OK. Soggy and tasteless margherita pizza. Mediocre at best. I am glad we didn't have to pay for it. The only good thing was the meats and cheese plate and it is hard to screw that one unless you buy mystery meat/rotten cheese from an unknown source. Will not be back.

Piola was amazing in every way from the service to the food. This is our first time and we definitely had the best experience in a restaurant. David was really awesome one great person his service to the client was exceptional. This is what people look for combined with delicious food, the food was well seasoned and cooked. We also had torts negra gelato(desert) it was delicious, better than what we expected when we read it on the menu!!!

I don't know what the hype is around here, but the food here is horrible. As a pizza lover, I thought there 12" margarita pizza was going to taste like an authentic margarita. Pizza was horrible, and it's not brick oven as perceived it is. They should change the name on the menu from margarita pizza to just a cheese pizza. It tasted like a flat bread with cheese. The sauce was invisible, and the battle with the local fly seemed endless. I'd rather eat digornos or Ellos than this. Pastas where also horrible, tasteless, and seemed well overcooked. This place looks like they care more about soccer and happy hours than the actual food.

What is this greasy gob of white something on this pizza? They call it catupiri and I call it waste of money and time. Please avoid like the plague.

BE CAREFUL WITH PIOLA'S YELP CHECK-IN OFFER (READ FOR DETAILS) This review takes into account two separate visits. I'll be honest the first impression of this restaurant is pretty good. It's nicely decorated, the hostess that accompanies you to your table is friendly, it's in a really good location, etc. The first time i went to Piola it was with my family and we had an enjoyable, but not perfect, experience. The food was good but our waiter was absent the majority of the time making it difficult to order more sodas or even for my dad to order a coffee at the end of his meal. We got tired of waiting and my dad had to get up and ask for the manager to get our check. The second time I went with some of my friends and once again the food was good but our experience was ruined by staff and management. Before I get into the negatives let me say that Piola does have a large number of food options on the menu and while it is not even close to being the best Italian restaurant in the South Florida region it is a delicious option if you happen to be looking for something to eat before or after the movies at Cinemark. It is clear that whoever is training the waiters/waitresses isn't doing a good job because what are the odds that both times I went my experience was ruined by staff? This second visit the waiter claimed to be new so he did not know the menu, took forever to bring our drinks, and had to ask the manager about how the Yelp check-in offer worked. Like with the waiter from my first visit, this new waiter swung by the table maybe a total of 3 times. One of those times he brought my friends their drinks (some had sodas and some had beers) and he forgot my beer so he said "I'll be right back with your beer." Good thing I did not hold my breath. Our pizzas got to the table before our waiter ever came back and when he did return it was not with my beer so I told him I did not want it anymore. That was just the tip of the iceberg of problems. One of my friends noticed that Piola had a check-in offer on Yelp so we asked our waiter about it at which point he took my friends phone and went to show the manager. He came back pretty quickly and he himself activated the four check-in offers on our phones. Since the offer said "purchase required" each of the four people that got one of the free Margherita pizzas also ordered another pizza to take home since the offer is dine in only . When we finished our meal and asked for our check we noticed that only one of the Margheritas had been marked as free so we asked about it and after going to ask his manager he came back saying it was only one free pizza per table. I, myself, went to speak with the manager at the bar and he was very reluctant to take the other three pizzas of the bill. After arguing for a couple of minutes about how it was his fault and not the new waiter's fault (since we saw the waiter ask him about it) he finally gave all four Margheritas for free. I really hope that manager didn't blame the new waiter and take those pizzas off his pay after we left. He might have been a bad waiter since he is new but there is a learning curve to the job. The only reason I am giving Piola three stars and not one or two thanks to management and staff is because their food is pretty good. It is sad to see a good restaurant dragged down by such issues. I won't be visiting again. Side note: This restaurant does not do refills with sodas, instead they bring you a can and a glass. That's totally fine, it encourages customers to not get as many sodas/refills since you have to pay for each can (healthier for the costumer in my opinion), and it's something that is done pretty much everywhere in Europe.

Famous because of their pizza but not just that, they earned my husbands and my heart with Pedro's service! Top of the line service, explaining everything, gave us great suggestions, and always around us, his sympathy was all to feel us comfortable and really want to go back soon. The Carpaccio was sooo fresh, meat cutted thin to perfection with arugula and parmesan cheese (that was our appetizer) we ordered the Capricciosa pizza suggested by Pedro it was ham, mushrooms and artichokes, great taste, u can feel the coal fired too, also ordered a Margherita (free thanks to Yelp) and it was absolutely delicious, is a thin pizza but i don't need more. They have a lot of specials during the week, late night and also ladies night with free wine! For sure this pizza/italian spot is a must.

My friend took me here for a little lunch date and we both ordered the Toscanini salad which was incredible. I love the mix of the smoked salmon with the tuna and the cheese. It's a heavy salad you will definitely feel full after eating it. The ingredients tasted very fresh. I also love that when you check in at least for now you get a free margarita pizza which we were too stuffed to eat. We took it to go for my friends husband and he loved it. Next time I come back I will try their pizza or looked really really good. The place was very clean and the bathroom was also.

Fantastic service, pizza is always consistently awesome. These guys are true Italians and are very welcoming always. They truly understand hospitality and treat everyone like family when they dine in or out. Don't miss the 29th of each month when they do different variations of gnocchi - all you can eat. The manager even told us to let him know in advance if we want a special sauce and they will prepare it for the day. Two thumbs up!

I must say I was highly impressed with the service we got from this restuarant from the moment we walked in the door. We ordered salads and should of shared because they were big. My husband had the minestrone soup. I'm normally not a fan of this soup but loved this one. What made it special was when Andrew the owner came over to talk to us and asked if he could bake us a pizza on the house. How could we say no.....we loved it. We will definitely come back. Thursdays is ladies night free house wine a big plus.

I went to piola yesterday and as soon as the bread got to our table there were at least 10 bugs flying around our food. There were so many that we decided to move and sit outside. Then when we sat outside we could see all the bugs on the window. It was disgusting! When we made our waitress aware she said that she was sorry but that she was aware of the problem. I usually love this place and I use to go all the time but those flies really grossed me out.

My first time here and I've never heard of it until today. What a nice restaurant, they were open today for new years day not only that but the waiters were attentive and helpful with the menu. They had fresh made lemonade which was sooooo tasty. The appetizers were bruecetta breads which were fresh as well. The menu was full of options from different salads to crozone to antiparsti and pizza! Very nice Italian style restaurant. They also have a sitting area outside, However I did not have any dessert so my next visit I will post dessert review.

Pizza is what I came for. If you have ever had great pizza you know it's all about the ingredients. This place is average at best. The sauce is nothing special and the doe needs improvement. Anthony's coal fired is better even though it's a chain. This place should be better. I hope they can improve because it's a fun place with friendly service and a full bar.

Can't stop coming back here... I think I've been to this place enough times (3 to be exact lol) to write a decent and honest review. Pros: - Love the atmosphere and vibe to the restaurant. They have awesome colorful lanterns hanging from the ceiling - Indoor/outdoor seating - Friendly staff, the owner (or at least I thin he is) always comes to greet me and my friends and ask us how our meal is - A lot of freakin pizzas to choose from, red and white sauce pizzas with a variety of toppings - The red sangria is the BOMB (white is ok) - They always have deals!!! 1. Entrees 2 for 1 Monday-Thursday after 10pm. 2. Girls buy 1 entree and get unlimited house wine (Merlot or Chardonnay) starting at 7pm on Thursdays... And I'm pretty sure there's a bunch more. Cons: - NONE!!! hahaha. With that being said, I'm gonna head there right now!

Loved this new neighborhood spot! Pizza was light, thin, chewy and crispy. The wine was complimentary (ladies night on Thursday ) and the Rasberry caipiroska was amazing. This local hidden spot is a sweet Neighborhood gem. And let me jut say how lovely the ambiance was with the live Brazilian Lounge music.... The service and attention was spot on! Loved #piola and this spot has great potential for ladies night and just an overall chill dining experience. P.s. They have draft beer Yummmmmmmmmm!

We came back after a bad experience before when we waited 1 hour for a pizza, but wanted to give this place a second chance because the food is good! Well, we were very surprised because David - manager - recognize us immediately and he also remembered we like room-temperature water to begin. We didn't have to wait one minute. He let us skip the line of people waiting and took us to our table, our pizza was served on time and well... the whole service was waaay much better, I will say excellent, so congrats Piola! You know how to make up your mistakes (free dessert included!) Thank you for your service this time. Thank you David and for sure we will back soon. :)

Piola? In Pines? Really???? That was my response when my sister in law informed me of a lunch she was orchestrating. The only Piola locations I'd been familiar with were those in the ultra hip hubs of Lincoln Road and Brickell. But lo and behold, this strip mall in Broward next to Cinemark Paradise Theatre came out to play with the big girls by housing this restaurant! You go Pembroke Pines (or Weston, as it's listed under this city for some reason)! As soon as we arrived and greeted by a nice young man, we sat down, and I promptly decided to indulge in a mimosa (weekday lunch, but I can't be stopped!) as my sister in law ordered a strawberry caiprioska (code for vodka infused) which she downed and had to order another. And to kill time until the rest of our party arrived, we ordered the bruschetta (refreshening, but nothing outrageous) and the meatballs (a total win - we ended up getting a second order later during the meal). Enter my 19 year old niece, and sister in law#2 with my 4 year old nephew - now we got a party! Pizza Piola and Diavola were great. The thin crust was perfect and just enough to fill you up without making you regret all the carbs you just scarfed down. The lasagne was awesome, as well. It was a pretty big serving that tasted authentically Italiano! As we neared the end of our lunch, I was forced to participate in dessert. Anxious because I was already late for a mani/pedi I had scheduled, I felt even more pressure in being summoned to be the dessert decider. After a quick deliberation and a consult with the waiter, I bet all my chips on the Coppa Piola (rule of thumb: when in doubt, just go with the dish that carries the name of the establishment you're visiting). And, you know, all I can say is I'm awesome... the perfect choice of dessert.... Vanilla ice cream, chocolate drizzle, some other delicious stuff I can't fully recall... I'm just a total badass. Needless to say, everyone left happy and satisfied from lunch that day. Great service, great food and great prices. Plus, even after my quickened pulse and heart palpitations of the possibility of being late (I have a thing for being on time, just a small flaw in an otherwise flawless human being!), I ended up being on time for my nail appointment! #Winning! And with that.... All's well that ends well!

Adore Piola! Although busy at times, waits for tables have never been terribly lengthy. High quality ingredients, unique cocktails, and very nice service make Piola a regular in our household. Of course, the pizza is wonderful, but if you want to really indulge, try the ravioli! Really lucky to have this little piece of Italian so close to home!

Sat outside, but inside seemed pretty modern and upbeat. Pizza is very thin, very thin. Free bread and oil to dip as appetizer. Got the free cheese for checking in. Not a bad deal at all!! Service was good others seemed also very attentive. (Managers possibly? Don't know who they were but they asked how all was) got the cappuccino and the brownie/ice cream dessert. Pricing was average, getting the free pizza made it better. Bill was 29.00 two pizzas, a beer, cappuccino and dessert. It was myself my husband and 2 year old. We'd go back!

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
