I'm from Orange County, CA where Banh Mi and boba shops are abundant. I came here with the intention to grab some quick food to eat at the airport. I ordered two of their banh mi and smoothie combos. For one combo I got their BBQ chicken with a honey dew boba. For the second combo, I ordered their BBQ with a mango boba. I originally wanted the passion fruit smoothie instead but they had run out. Both food and drinks good and I was quite impressed. The BBQ chicken was flavored perfectly and was delicious. No complains on the BBQ pork either. Both drinks were also perfect for our hot day. The portions of the boba drinks were HUGE. It was a large size for the combo. For two combos, my total was about $14. The girl that rang us up was really nice and fast. The food also came out ultra fast. When we arrived on a Saturday they were packed and the line wrapped around. However, everything took little time and we were out of there. This Banh Mi restaurant has a small eating area inside and outside. They have booths inside and a few tables outside. Other items besides Banh Mi include plenty of ready to go made Vietnamese food. There was also a lot of Che items (Vietnamese dessert). I recommend this place if you want some cheap Vietnamese Banh Mi in the area.

I was in dessert heaven upon walking in !!!! They also have pre made spring rolls, rice and vermicelli dishes! (It was on a Sunday) I had the banh mi dac biet. Which was good. Not great.. but good. Had a different twist to it than of those I'm use to. But their smoothies were to die for!!! Soooooo good! I've gotten the avocado bubble tea and my friend had the tropical passion that he couldn't stop raving about! Overall I'll be back to try their other items! Glad I've found this little gem!

Do you want to taste a little of the authentic Asian food that awaits you in Broward, Travel no more as this little corner has Vietnamese fast food, which isn't so fast, but that's good. A Vietnamese Pho restaurant next door, the super market you can go to, to buy the same ingredients and emulate what you just ate. There is even another restaurant on the other side of the shopping mall mostly Chinese. Now back to the Banh Mi, its fresh, its consistent, order the shakes, with tapioca or without, full sugar or half. Enjoy something you might not eat everyday. Make it a habit. They have a bread that is with sesame seeds, that kind of taste like a doughnut, because its slightly sweet and fried, and its really delicious. They have a round one with coconut and mung bean filling. Dare to be adventurous

I go to this place mainly for their bubble tea and it's one of the best around! Try their green tea or black tea milk tea. Friendly staff!

I stopped by this place because I was craving a boba smoothie. I tried the number #1 (the works) and it was decent but I wasn't too crazy about it. I probably should I tried the Korean bbq pork instead. As for the smoothie, I ordered the taro milk tea. I didn't like the gelatin consistency of the smoothie- it's probably because I go to a lot of good boba smoothie places and am used to having milk teas a certain way. The boba seemed like it was cooked too long because they were too mushy. On the plus side, the people who worked there were very nice & I like the interior. I'd be willing to give it another try.

This Vietnamese Sandwich shop gets fours stars because of the excellent customer service from the white guy working there, lol. He was enthusiastic, friendly, and said that the owner's mom oversees the food so it's still Vietnamese run. I tried a variety of sandwiches there including the Dac Biet $4, Thit Nuong (Grilled Meats), and Xiu Mai (Meatball). Their menu system does a pretty good job on indicating which ingredients you don't want or want extra of - I asked for extra pâté spread and mayo and I believe they actually followed my instructions hooray. I think I'll ask for extra pickled veggies next time I visit. The bread is okay. It is very crunchy (like many so cal shops) which is nice, but I think the inside of the baguette is missing a little chew. However, this texture of bread shined when paired with the saucy meatballs. They have a fun combo option where you can get a boba or coffee drink with your sandwich for $7.95. It's a great reason to splurge and get that boba. I tried both the frozen coffee (slushie) and regular iced coffee and I think the ice coffee is still better. I hope they get their menu situation figured out. The paper menu said buy five get one sandwich free. Then somewhere else it said ten. Ten sandwiches is a bit extreme. I actually like their to-go food. The food is vibrant and nicely displayed in clear plastic containers. I think they should have labels listing what the item is, the English translation, prices, and ingredients so newbies aren't afraid to try out the fun foods. It makes for a great lunch or dinner the next day. If you do buy the to-go containers of noodles and grilled meats, then take the noodles out and microwave them separately from the sliced cucumber and herbs. If you're buying the banh beo (steamed rice cakes), then place them on a separate microwavable plate and gently microwave them at less power. I haven't had pre-made cups of Vietnamese desserts so the corn and coconut milk che $2.95 was a delight.

On my list for quite some time after recommendations from others. So when Mark A. & I finally had a chance to try, I was surprised to see it is a very small place. It has limited seating area, which almost makes it seem like it's not meant for people to have their meal there. However, service is SUPER fast. That came as a great surprise. We ordered the lemon grass grilled pork, which was good, and the Korean BBQ beef, which was VERY good. I also had the Thai Tea boba. It only comes in one size (always a downer for me.. I want options!), but it's very sweet and the boba was cooked just right. I'd definitely suggest for a good banh mi, but take it to-go and find a nice park area to have your meal instead of inside the small cafe.

For the price correlating with what u get & taste, well, I see why they sold over a 1,000 on opening day, but since I'm a newb to ban mi's I'm reserving a star, but I will definitely be back. I liked it & my bread was fresh & tasty. As a bonus my husband liked it bc he was once very under impressed by a bahn mi at Pho 79, tho that's not really saying much overall. Now I wish it was next to Pho 78 instead of 79! We're a far cry from LA & NYC Asian food but I've been outside of south and central FL and at least we have a good start!

Amazing find (thanks to Sandra D for recommending). There is not a whole lot of originality in our burger-centric society, so 545 is refreshing not just in its menu, but in the originality of the concept. It centers around a concise menu of fresh thai sandwiches on fresh-baked baguettes, and smoothies/teas. I am a sucker for boba (bubble) tea (something else you don't find a lot of in Florida), but on my first visit today I found a smoothie I couldn't resist: #29 - soursop. About 4 years ago I planted a soursop tree, having no idea what a soursop was except that it was edible. After trying this smoothie, I'm going to be doing my best to get that tree to grow! The fruit has a prickly green exterior and a white pulp, and the smoothie has a taste that I can only describe as pina colada, if you made it with half pineapple and half PEAR. It's really a unique taste and worth trying - damn refreshing on a 90-degree Davie day in May. Other really tempting smoothie varieties included avocado, jackfruit, strawberry with soursop and basil (!!) and avocado with banana. I would also really like to try some of the bubble teas, including "thai tea", jasmine, taro milk, green tea, all with those tapioca balls that make it into a "bubble tea". For sandwich I went with the "lemongrass grilled pork" banh mi - also really delicious: bread that was obviously made that day, lots of fresh veggies (I love the cilantro in thai cuisine), and delicious meat. I think one true sign of liking a new find is wanting to return in the very near future, and I DO want to come back here as soon as possible to try more of this affordable, simple and refreshing food. A $7.95 combo (sandwich and smoothie) is a great deal, and not just limited to lunch.

I am definitely a fan of 545. Their banh mi is solid & it just flies out of the sandwich station as you're ordering. The first time I went, our sandwiches were on our table almost as immediately as we sat. The lemon grass pork & the korean bbq were both tasty choices. At $4 a sandwich, it's not a bad price at all. Not sure you can find a better tasting banh mi for a better price in South Florida. The boba is pretty good as well. 545 delivers great value for a lunch time option; or an afternoon snack if that's your thing. I also like that they use Spot On Rewards app.

We found 545 when we came to the same complex to shop at Food Town... an amazing world grocery. 545 U.S. An unassuming little place with counter service. They have the most delicious French baguettes for authentic bahn mi. Their ingredients include pork roll, Korean BBQ beef, pate, head cheese, pork meatballs, lemongrass tofu, and more... I've tried "The Works" and the tofu bahn mi... Both delicious. The bread is chewy with a little bit of crunch to the outside, but not crumbly. Definitely try the fresh pressed sugarcane juice-- very refreshing!

This place is awesome. Finally a more modern place to get Banh Mi and other goodies! Great place to get my asian snack foods fix and bubble tea close by work. I had the #4 banh mi, and want to try the cheesehead and pate banh mi. The bread here is actually good, nice and crispy/fresh, you know that good banh mi bread balance. BTW - Cheesehead is actually not cheese. I learned that today... if you're adventurous you should try it! I don't want to scare anyone away so I won't post what it is :P but ask the cashier lol They had other snacks like pork buns, rice cakes, spring rolls and other to go food boxed up. Good for a quick bite, snack or lunch break.

This place was more than I could have hoped for. I don't think I have felt that I have had a truly 5 star restaurant experience in sometime. And that's after the bar was set high by fellow helper reviews Sean, Amanda Howard, to name a few. How did it get to be that good? Let me start by saying I have an affinity for seemingly small strip mall restaurants with offbeat food options. And the plate options here will set you in another place for sure. I was furiously hungry after a bike ride and used Yelp to find the closest bookmarks. 545 Bahn Mi was one that popped up and I could see the high ratings and the eclectic menu and Beelined for it. I was ready for a long line as per previous reviews but at 2 pm it seemed I missed the rush. Great success! I could see how it could be a slow line though. There was only 1 person in front of me but took 10 minutes. It's not really fast food so I was cool with it. I had the number one as recommended. Great call. I got the avocado shake and man that was excellent call. It taste incredible. It was all so good I forgot I had anime bike jersey on. The cook stopped and came to the front just say the "straw hat" jersey was cool. Nice compliment as I left, pleased that I made a great call on where to stop in

I've had quite a few dishes from Bahn Mi, but hadn't actually stopped in on my own, so I've been waiting to write my review. To be honest, I was a little apprehensive about stopping in, mostly due to customer service concerns, so I was content with the to-go options that my dad's gf had been feeding me lol. So far I've tried - Taro Milk Tea Vegetarian Bahn Mi Sandwich To-Go Rice Cakes To-Go Spring/Summer Rolls Last night was my first time stopping in, and went just to get a milk tea - I opted for Taro flavor which was perfect and not too sweet. The bobas were maybe a hair over cooked, but I'll let that slide. What really impressed me was the customer service. The two people working the register were friendly, personable and willing to talk about the whole menu with me! This place does have some to-go food already prepared but it does seem like it changes daily and they can't guarantee they'll have what you want. If that rice cakes dish I had before was available last night I absolutely would have bought two or three to go lol. Do I think the bread is the best I've ever had on a Bahn Mi? No. But considering this is South Florida, and there aren't a lot of other bahn mi options, this is a sure winner!

Still delicious and fresh. Came to get some freshly baked banh mi( love saying it). They had made an extra sandwich and generously offered it to us. Excellent customer service! Many customers that go to Pho 79 stop here to get a banh mi. Must try!

Best banh mi place in town. They also have a lot of vietnamese drinks and desserts. I personally always get the sugar cane (fresh) juice. I decided to try the crawfish here once, and I probably would not recommend it (it was packaged and placed in the fridge). I didn't expect it to be good though as they don't really specialize in crawfish. Last time I went it was off the menu, so maybe they decided to take it off. Service is great, never had to wait too long in line. Parking: its in a small little strip mall, so free and no worries finding a free space.

Let's start with the sandwiches. Tried chicken and the most common more popular BBQ beef Bahn Mi. I can honestly say the BBQ beef was as good as any Bahn Mi I have ever had in Georgia or Wisconsin. Eating the Chicken after the beef was a mistake as it failed in comparison to the beef and I couldn't eat it. Black bubble milk tea is another story. I am what you can call a boba tea connoisseur. The tea is over priced (even taking into to consideration the price and size) and more expensive than any boba tea I have ever had. Flavor, it taste similar to what is to be expected from a sugar Cain and cheaper boba powder blend. All together not impressed comparing to places like "Quickly" but it is probably the only place that serves them in the area. On another note the passion fruit smoothie and lychee jelly was on par and delicious. I would definitely eat here again especially since the sandwiches are so cheap and delicious. This is a solid 4 star Bahn Mi joint and would recommend to anyone who wants to experience the food or is looking for an authentic Vietnamese sandwich spot.

I wish that there was a place like this in Jupiter. I'm Vietnamese but I'm not big on eating it. But every time I see a Banh Mi place I always go in. I ordered the Honey Dew Boba Tea, with Jelly and I liked it but it didn't have much flavoring in it. I also ordered Banh Loc and it was delicious I loved it. I wish I would've bought more. The place as a whole was very clean, the staff was extremely nice and the atmosphere was welcoming. I'm moving to Fort Lauderdale soon, so I will for sure be back.

My new go to for bubble tea. I've had bubble tea before from a few different places but this is hands down the best spot for one. Never tried it? Then what are you waiting for! Get up and go there. Now. And while your at it try one of the sandwiches. I stumbled upon the place one fateful day when i was fiending some delicious but too lazy to go too far. We all haven these days. Lucky for me this was a new spot and only 2 miles from the house. At first glance it has a new wave restaurant style decor reminiscent of a chipotle or burger fi. Not what you typically envision for a Vietnamese spot, but I like the look. The staff are friendly and happy to answer your questions and give suggestions. You choose the flavor bubble tea that you would like as well as the type of bubble you would like.I tend to gravitate toward the exotic or anything I've not tried so I was torn between the honeydew green tea or jackfruit bubble tea. It was my luck that I had brought my mom along. She chose the honeydew ( no coaxing i promise), and I got the jackfruit with pearls The jackfruit was slightly sweet and delicious. The honeydew green tea was sweeter and also the victor in my opinion. At only $4.75 it won't be long before I try them all.

I got the Number One Combo because it has pate and head cheese with a Taro Milk Tea for $8. My friend and I split also the Sesame Seed Bread too. Although the sandwich was delicious, I personally felt it was too skinny. I have a pretty healthy appetite and if I was just eating the sandwich without the milk tea, I could have easily eaten two. For $4, I would expect more meat or at least a little more vegetable filling. However, I don't really know of any other Banh Mi places here, and the sandwich ratio does help you appreciate the bread and it's not as messy as it could be. The Taro Milk Tea was decent, but I'm picky about it and it didn't really wow me. My main suggestion is that if you are hungry and can eat, order two sandwiches. If you eat like a normal person, one sandwich should be fine. You can eat in or take it to-go.

My boyfriend and I are big Vietnamese food fans and were going to try the Pho place but decided to check this out first. We are so glad that we did. Most Vietnamese restaurants (although this is a 'cafe') are kind of dirty and dingy looking with unfriendly service. We were pleasantly surprised to find that this place was modern and bright looking, and all 3 people behind the counter were outgoing and friendly. They allowed us to sample the taro smoothie which we both agreed was INCREDIBLE!! My boyfriend ordered the Korean BBQ sandwhich and a green tea milk. He was extremely happy with both and thought the combo deal was a great price. I had the avocado smoothie which was fantastic tasting, very creamy and refreshing. We are happy that we found this place, and can only hope they will expand to other cities as we don't live in Davie!

What 's brown, has the aroma of the earth and is sultry to the eye? Yes a nubile Vietnamese debutante sunbathing on the beach, but there is another. It's called a Banh mi sandwich, a staple of the Vietnamese cuisine. 545 Banh Mi has completed my holy trinity with Foodtown & Pho 79, all located in the same plaza. Talk about convenient ! I've been waiting for 545 Banh Mi to open for about two months now since I first saw their opening soon sign pop up beside Pho 79. Although only open for two days, when I arrived there was a steady stream of Banh mi seekers . I ordered a marinated grill chicken Banh mi, a strawberry/banana smoothie with tapioca balls and a red bean/taro/pandan jelly desert. Believe it or not, I've never had a Banh mi sandwich before, even though I've been patronizing Vietnamese restaurants for quite a while now. I have to say I'm quite impressed, it was full of flavor, super fresh, herbaceous and the bread was soft & airy. bit.ly/1HB5sz0 4.5 STARS The smoothie was quenching, fruity, and the tapioca balls were nice and chewy. bit.ly/1HB5AP4 4.5 STARS The Jelly desert was alright, I don't think I'll order it again though. 3 STARS What impressed me about this place is they not only make their own in-house bread, but they also make their own condiment sauces. The menu is divided into Banh mi sandwiches ($4), smoothies $4.75), pearl milk teas ($4.75), dessert che ($4.75), and juice/drinks ($4.50 sm, $5.50 lg). bit.ly/1HB5aby bit.ly/1HB5aby If you want to dine in there is one long banquette with five tables. bit.ly/1HB6YBn They have quite a few people working there and everyone appeared friendly. Outside of giving me my smoothie without the tapioca balls, which they quickly corrected, everything seemed to be operating smoothly. NOTES - They don't accept Amex.

Alright...I am sorry to burst the bubble... 545 had so many high remarks, I just had to step in for lunch and grab one...maybe two Bahn Mis. So walking in during lunchtime on a Tuesday, order one of The Works and an Avocado Shake with grass jelly. But before I pulled out my payment, I opted to add a Korean Beef...felt a bit hungry, you know... So, first impression, the joint is modernly constructed and the initial impression on the eye was nice, but the staff aren't the friendliest. Wasn't greeted, nor thanked, nor did they ask any questions. Just allowed me to walk in, grab a menu and decide on my own...being the first time, I felt lost you know. I wanted to eat in and I noticed they bagged my sandwich instead of putting on a tray for dine in. To save them some wrapping paper, I proceeded to ask to place the other sandwich that I ordered on a tray since I'll be dining in. All I was advised was to just unwrap it... Well, enough of that... Now to the food. The Works- The toppings are good, the pickled items were just perfectly balanced, not too sour, not too sweet. There was a bit of a lack of meat though, it seemed like if I was just eating bread, even though the baguette was nicely baked...perfectly crusty, chewy and soft in the center. The head cheese, the pork and the pate all blended well together, just wish there was more. Korean Beef- Now this one my friends...has good flavor! The beef is well marinated and sweet just like Korean beef should taste like. Just wished there was a bit more beef though. =) But it was by far my fave so far. Avocado Shake- This was delicious. Saw them drop in a Hass, a couple of dashes of this and that, ice, milk and on it goes...Layered at the bottom with my choice of grass jelly, this was not overly sweet and just perfect. It satisfied my sweet tooth for the rest of the day. 545 BM Cafe definitely has potential. I believe the staff is very young and inexperienced. This is the time to train them. If service was better and they provided a bit more ingredients, I'd be a regular... But don't hold me to it...you go try it for yourself.

Sandwiches here are just plain awesome! I recommend the Korean bbq beef, lemongrass pork, and meatball banh mi. The smoothies are great too! The Taro flavor is my favorite. If you don't want it too sweet, they will adjust the sweetness to your liking.

FREAKING DELICIOUS! Found this place driving around in Davie. So glad to have tried this. I had the lemongrass grilled pork bánh mì as recommended by the guy at the register and I went with the Soursop smoothie (also his recommendation) delicious! Simply delicious. The jalapeño and the daykon are great, and who doesn't love cilantro?!? Point is I will definitely be back to try all of them.

Growing up in LA. I have had many Banh Mi sandwiches. Ever since I moved to FL from LA, these are types of food I missed the most. So we found out this place has just opened and immediately thought we have to pay a visit. This is a small sandwich shop, but very nice and clean. The decor is very simple and modern, but their food tasted very traditional. We looked through the menu and specifically wanted order Banh Mi sandwiches on this visit. Since they are having a special on buy 5 get 6th one free, we took the opportunity. There are so many different kinds of Banh Mi, probably over 10 kinds or so. Therefore, in order to make our decision on which Banh Mi to get, we just went from # 1. to # 6. on the menu to go. So far we had about 3 kinds or so and they were all delicious. The one I like the most was their #1 on the menu which was called The Works. I think I also tasted #4 which the the BBQ Pork. Each sandwich costs about $4.00. The portion is not very large (I have a small appetite and I think I can eat one and a half of them by myself), but they are packed with big flavors. They also serve some Asian drinks like bo ba milk teas and some fruity drinks, which I think we will try next time.

This place deserves 5 stars for their friendly and knowledgeable staff alone. The staff always has a great attitude and always gets things right. The smoothies are great as well as the assortment of food items they have out everyday. The only critique I have is that the sandwiches could use more meat. Recommend!

545 is a Vietnamese sandwich cafe that boasts a simple menu of banh mi (sandwiches) and drinks (boba tea, fruit smoothies, coffee, and tea). Conveniently located in Davie, you just jump in line and make your order, or grab from one of the pre-packaged snack boxes. All sandwiches and drinks are made to order, which is nice to see and know that your meal is freshly prepared. I appreciate that 545 is a new small business and that they support the local community. The banh mi itself aren't my favorite in south Florida, but they are still very tasty and fairly priced. I think they are light-handed with adding the pickled veggies, so I paid the extra 50 cents for more. They offer a variety of different meats that you don't normally see in a banh mi, and I wanted to try all of their many different options. I ordered one sandwich with the roast pork and another with Korean BBQ beef. My roast pork was very salty, but incredibly moist. The Korean BBQ beef was a solid, flavorful meat, but the portion is also scant. You can pay an extra $1 for more meat. Both sandwiches ended up very soggy as I ate. I prefer my bread warm and toasty, for a crispy French baguette is what differentiates a banh mi from any other sandwich or hoagie. I tried their black milk tea with boba. They give a generous serving of tea and don't load it up with ice, so I do appreciate what they serve. The boba was really mushy though, either they were cooked for too long or they sat in liquid for too long before serving. However, I did finish my entire drink and I would order it again. The cafe itself is very small and narrow, with limited seating, but clean inside. The design of the cafe doesn't accommodate very many people at one time, so be patient when ordering. I can't imagine how the line gets during busy hours. The staff was very friendly.

Not awesome, but not terrible either. For South Florida it will do. Sorry, but once you have had banh mi in Vietnam or Cali your standards become a little higher.

The number one best thing about this place was the service! I came here as a visitor to Miami area and looking for asian food (specifically, there is a fantastic asian market in the same plaza). We stumbled on this cafe and browsed only the first time we went in, unsure if we wanted to get premade food. After visiting the market, we had to return to the cafe and its fresh-looking foods and friendly staff. We ordered 12 sandwiches (buy 10, get the 11th free!). Most of them was the "the works" version, with a few beef, and one marinated chicken. We took it to go so they said we should have them pack the veggies separately in order to prevent it from being soggy. It was super thoughtful of them to suggest that considering it was more work and more resources (little individual baggies for each veggie). Each veggie includes, by the way, cilantro, pickled daikon and carrots, cucumber, and sliced jalapenos. After getting back to the rental house I put a pork sandwich together. It was not the best banh mi I've ever had -- REALLY too crunchy bread and "The Works" meat/liver pate was bland (marinated chicken was great) but the veggies were nice and fresh. $4 each was not a bad price for it. Also tried their spring rolls. Kind of pricy at $5.50 for 3 rolls but they were perfect. I'd come back because of the amazing service and spring rolls but not "The Works". PS they have bubble tea!

Really tasty sandwiches (but could use more meat in them) and already prepared dishes. The grilled pork with noodles is great to pick up and go, it is plenty of food and Oh so good. Friendly staff, quick service. Many desserts and drinks offered. Make sure to eat the sandwich within an hour or it won't taste good, the bread will be hard and chewy. Be prepared to be thirsty after your meal. Mix of modern and traditional Vietnamese food style. Finally found a Vietnamese banh mi place that is my go to place. Although it's out of my way a little, I just can't stop my cravings after I've had it the first time, so I do the drive there.

This place is great. The deal of a sandwich and drink for 7.95 is a great deal and filling. I had the number 1 which had headcheese it was actually delicious. I also tried the Korean pork which was very delicious. The Thai tea was great and it had tapioca at the bottom. I definitely recommend this place especially for lunch. They also had fresh baked donuts! They had sesame seeds and the flour was sweet. It cost 1.50, definitely recommend trying it. I will be coming back!

I stop by this cafe often and recommend many of my friends to check it out. Located in a plaza filled with other asian-themed establishments, this is a very modern and clean cafe serving delicious banh mi! Its very casual as you order your sandwich on the counter so no need to worry about restaurant attire! So their vietnamese subs are toasted perfectly and served with pickled vegetables and the protein of your choice. I always ask for extra of their delicious house mayo on my sub because it brings out more of the flavor. Try their various vietnamese desserts in the refrigerator, its pretty decent and they don't make it too sweet. The only reason why this place lost one star is because I wish they would just add on more meat to my banh mi. I always have to ask for extra meat (which is an extra subcharge) but I feel like my sub with 'extra meat' should be their 'regular' banh mi portions. But its not a big deal anyway because the price point for one banh mi is around $5. Bring your friends and family here, you won't be disappointed!

Literally everyone who goes to Pho 79 comes here to get a Banh mi...it seems to be a ritual! It's the Banh-mi that got me here but all the frills that keep me going back and those would be the sweet shakes, boba tea, small appetizer plates and desserts by the check out counter. The Banh mi bread itself is fresh, crispy and light, the beef banh mi was delish and combined with a boba tea - mmm that hits the spot. Everything is made fresh onsite. I enjoyed the desserts and small plates by the counte. The Banh Gio is my fav - it's shaped like a pyramid, minced pork w/ shiitake mushrooms topped with a boiled quail egg clothed in a thick rice dumpling and wrapped in banana leaf - ummm that was heaven! But they have another dessert that looks the same but with sweet coconut inside, so make sure you ask before you pick it up.The coconut banana dessert with the sweet cream is superb!!! Overall satisfied repeat customer, good service, unique desserts and great value for the price!

A modern/ fast food style Banh Mi shop. Nice, small, fresh sitting area. Good price. Friendly, awesome customer service. As a plus, it's entertaining to see a white guy making your subs and boba drink. Good variety of banh mi and to-go vietnamese snacks. I like their vietnamese coffee. Food is tasty and authentic. Highly recommended.

Really good sandwich with a drink combo for $7.95. When we told the cashier it was our first time, he took the time to explain the menu and make some recommendations. For the drink, you can pick bubble tea, smoothie or a fresh drink like sugarcane. I had the taro milk tea which was very authentic. Great little place for a casual meal.

What an amazing place! I've been back there 2 or 3 times since I first found out that this store was located so near to my house..I always had to get great pho and the best sub ever all the way down by pembroke pines rd and university (which is a better sub than this one honestly) but I give the 5 stars for the smoothie/sub combo deal and the proximity to my house. Must try out for anybody who loves food...so yeah, everybody.

Best place for Bubble Tea and other amazing desserts and smoothies. An entire new experience for your palate since this is a vietnamese place (assuming you are not from there).

545 Banh Mi cafe is a little small cafe that offers some of Vietnamese sandwiches and cold snacks/deserts. Some I recognize, some I dont lol. It located right next to Pho 79 as well as the Market, Foodtown. It's really hard to find a good Banh Mi nowadays. The Banh mi here was overall good, except the bread. The banh mi bread that I'm used to eating is soft. To me, it really important that the bread is right. The bread was a little on the hard side, if it was that, it would have been a 5 star. But I would definitely come back to this cafe.

PORK BUNS...where have you been all my life? I'm not sure if this was a regular menu item or a special, I spotted it on the counter near the register and I needed to spend a bit more to make the credit card minimum, so threw that in the order. It had a hard boiled egg inside and the pork kind of tasted like what you would get in a dumpling. Yum! This was my second time getting the bubble milk tea. As a self proclaimed bubble tea connoisseur I can say with certainty that this is the best I've had yet. The taro flavor is perfectly sweet and the tapioca pearls were chewy but not soggy. They seem pretty consistent on the preparation which also makes a big difference. I had the $7.95 sandwich and bubble tea special. Based on other reviews I tried the Korean Beef. Agree with others that there was not enough beef though what was there was very well seasoned. I did not get jalapeños and I'm wondering if that's why I felt something was missing... The depth of flavor wasn't there, it was just sweet and lacking maybe acid? This was the least intimidating experience I have ever had at a Vietnamese place. The staff were everyday American and not only spoke English but were so friendly and approachable. They took the time to explain what the pork bun is like and made recommendations on some of the weirder sounding/looking stuff. I will definitely return.

I'm really happy that there's a good Vietnamese sammich place near my home. The sandwiches are a good size - not too big, not too small. If you're really hungry, I suggest getting two. Can't finish it? You can take it home and it's actually pretty good after some time, too. Besides the sandwiches though, I always go for their fresh spring rolls. They have two types - just shrimp and shrimp + pork. For about $7, you can get three large spring rolls with a side of their yummy peanut sauce. There are many times when I just get the spring rolls without getting a sandwich because the spring rolls alone fill me up. Definitely recommend these babies! There was one instance where my schoolmates and I had to place a large order (for 30+ people) for a meeting. We placed the order a few days prior and called the morning of to confirm. The sandwiches and spring rolls were ready on time. Everything tasted very fresh and of great quality. For the price, the ease of ordering, and great service, I highly recommend this place for large party orders. 545 also have milk teas and slushies with all of the fix ins like boba and lychee. I've had better boba drinks, though. They're not bad, but I've had better. These drinks are very sweet, so if you don't have an extreme sweet tooth, you can request the drink to be half sweetened. Writing this review is making me crave a spring roll. Guess I know what I'm having for lunch today!

Where do I start? Umm, I love this place!!! ......The selection of good eateries in Davie is VERY limited. I'm a stickler for cleanliness and this restaurant is IMMACULATE! The food and drinks are undoubtably FRESH!! You literally watch them make everything! The fresh fruit is in plain sight upon entry. Not to mention...*drum roll please*...... Their Vietnamese baguette is baked on premises every 2 hours. I know that little fact because of a conversation with the manager. All in all great place for a quick bite to eat that won't break the bank! Fast service, fresh food and friendly faces!

I was in the area decied to check this place out. Miami does NOT have any Banh Mi (vietnamese sub sandwiches) places at all. So I was excited to see this place exist. Decided to order a load of sandwiches. Buy 10 get 1 free, I believe. Traditionally it is buy 5 get 1 free. So I ordered 10 of them. I ordered different variety as well. None of which are spectacular that I can tell you that is amazing. I am very picky of good Banh Mi. I grew up in the DMV area which has a fairly large vietnamese community. So banh mi there is pretty darn good. The anatomy of a banh mi is. Vietnamese baguette with pate (liver) spread and special vietnamese mayonaise (I've seen them sell in Cali). Variety of vietnamese cold cut hams, headcheese, pickled daikon and carrots, topped with cilantro and jalepenos. Sometimes they also put special sauce that I've seen sell in jars in Cali (not sure what its called). Their first sandwich is the original. Their headcheese is ok nothing I like very fatty and little to no cartilage (sounds gross I know but so good). Their liver spread barely has any flavor. Their pickled daikon/carrots were okay. They didn't have the balance of sweetness to them as I like. I think I make it better myself. The bread was okay. Not your baguette style it was a lot softer and bland. This is the best it'll get in S.FL area so.. I'll take it as is. A bit pricey for vietnamese subs I believe each sub is abour 4-5$. If I'm in the area I rather eat at the pho place next door and have good viet food there.

Excellent sandwiches!!! Love the lemongrass pork sandwich with a passion fruit boba shake ... Without the condensed milk ... I like the slight sour taste. Give them a try!

Pretty cool little Viet sandwich shop right next to Pho 79. 545 Banh Mi Cafe is relatively new and the place itself is impeccable. Being that it is still new, it is practically shiny with their bright lighting and decor. It specializes in, you guessed it, banh mi sandwiches and bubble teas. If you're not familiar with Banh Mi, it is a Vietnamese sandwich that consists of cured meats, cilantro, and pickled veggies (like radishes or daikons), slathered with mayonnaise and served in french bread. The bread itself is meant to be crusty and really works as a basis for crunch when it comes with the pickled veggies. On the other end of the spectrum, the meats are pretty savory and it just works out well together. They also have a variety of desserts and drinks. The 545 special is a complex combination of items that I cannot recall. It was very sweet and with the crushed ice, there isn't really much there. They have lots of different shakes and rice cakes as well. Prices are standard and are a bit more expensive that what banh mi's should be. However, being that this is Miami, you'd be hard pressed to find any other place that would even have banh mi to begin with, so this is your best option...for now.

545 Banh Mi Cafe is one of those places that keeps you coming back for more. It's conveniently located next to Pho 79 (another fav of mine) and serves up banh mi sandwiches, boba smoothies, tea, and a variety of Vietnamese desserts (try them all, seriously). Prices are great and the staff is friendly and will help you decide if you're debating between a few things. I had the "special", lemongrass pork, and the chicken. My favorite is the special, I need to try the BBQ Korean Beef as I've heard that's really good too. All in all the place is really solid and consistent the only thing I would suggest to them is to chop the cilantro into smaller pieces because when you take bites of the sandwich it tends to just slide out in one huge chunk. Other than that I have no complaints about this place. I need to try their milk tea and smoothies too!

Great banh mi sandwiches in the Asian friendly Foodtown shopping center. Been waiting for a Vietnamese banh mi spot and finally it's here. Great combo sandwich options: Banh Mi + Smoothie =$7.95. Ordered the Korean Bbq & marinated grilled chicken banh mi w/ avocado & frozen coffee smoothies. Both sandwiches were nicely toasted w/ fresh, bright flavors from the pickled veggies- could've used a lil' more cilantro but I LOVE cilantro. Korean Bbq was the winner over chicken. Loved the smoothies w/ tapioca balls too! Will be back to try more flavors - this is a great place for a fast & healthy lunch.

We got an order of their be bean tea and it was really good. A cool little place. Trendy looking. They make sandwiches that I really want to try next time. The place was packed on a Sunday and we can see why it was rated so highly. I wish I took a picture before I drank it all!

We been waiting long enough for this place... Right next by Foodtown Supermarket and not too far away from where we live which is perfect! We went there yesterday afternoon and this place was packed! And all Asian ( you know it must be good when a restaurant full of Asian people... LOL) They are having "Buy 5 get 1 free" for $4 dollars Banh Mi's special now, we order from number #1 ~ #6! A almost perfect Banh Mi ( Vietnamese Sandwich ) full flavored and the spicy was spot on. The only criticism I have is the bread was not solid enough, and both me and my king Howard H. got hungry after 2 hours again! We will be back soon for sure !

I am not one to write extremely long reviews but this place is an exception! A MUST TRY!!!! I drove 40 mins from Deerfield to come here because I knew the food would be out of this world good. As soon as I walked in, I could not wait to eat these talked about sandwiches. They just opened on Thursday and there was a line out the door. They had a ton of fresh bread and the staff was making the sandwiches in front of you (behind a glass). The prices are amazing. I posted their price list on here. Their delicious sandwiches are only four bucks and are the perfect size! When you buy 5 you get 1 FREE!! I also tried a couple of their smoothies. Their smoothies at $4.75 for 20 oz. My boyfriend and I shared 3 sandwiches. We had the Number 1 The Works (Pat, BBQ Pork, Pork Roll and Headcheese), Number 2 Lemongrass Grilled Pork and Number 5 The Korean BBQ Beef. They were all AMAZING!! We also got the Strawberry Bananna smoothie and the Mango smoothie. We were both upset that we didn't have room to try their desserts. I can't wait to go back and try more sandwiches!!

I love going to this place when I want a quick bite to eat that isn't fast food. The ingredients are fresh and I love the combo special they have. I always opt for the bubble tea (taro), which isn't the best bubble tea I've ever had, but it's pretty good. The one thing I don't really like a about it is how much ice they put in, it makes it feel like the flavor of the bubble tea isn't really consistent throughout. The lemongrass pork is delicious.

Ugh! I feel so bad for breaking the 5 star trend going on :( but I just didn't fall IN LOVE with the banh mi sandwhiches I tried to give it a full 5 stars. I ordered the #1, #3, #5, #11. Currently, they are having a promotion of buy 5, get 1 free, but I knew I couldn't eat 2 more... My favorite was the #5, Korean BBQ. It was flavorful, sweet, and tender. My least favorite was the #3, roasted pork. There was some flavor about it that just didn't do it for me, just personal preference. The #11, pork meatballs were really good but just too spicy for me. Last but not least, #1, The Works, was so-so. You just have to get a smoothie! The strawberry smoothie with jelly I had was so freaking refreshing. You can really taste the fresh fruit they use. The smoothies/boba tea are a "must get" for sure. Expect to pay $4.75 plus .75 for the jelly/pearls. They honestly got most elements right that I see why they have earned 5 stars. The place is brand spanking new so naturally it is clean but also it has a modern, fresh decor. They are quick as lightning. The smoothies are Uhhhmazing! The bread is freshly made and perfectly crisp. But...I just wanted a little more complexity to the flavor. I think they would have hit it on the nail if they added more pickled daikon and carrots to give the sandwhiches a little acidity, but they put so little that you can barely taste it in there. Next time, I will try to see if they can put more of that and less cilantro. But overall, solid joint to get your banh mi fix.

Not sure what the hype is about. I went around 6:45pm and it wasn't super busy that day. The sandwich was so so. I had better. The bread was too hard! I did buy a Vietnamese special bread that was fresh out of the oven that was very tasty! That particular bread was yummy. I would definitely go back for more.

Located on the corner of Stirling and Davie in the Carriage Hills Plaza (has the big Foodtown market). This place has literally JUST opened. I swear I'm not lying when I say this - I have been waiting for a good place to get banh mi and Viet desserts since I have moved to Florida. I am picky about my banh mi because I've had the best of the best from living in New England. Seriously though, the place in my heart for banh mi has been occupied by Ba Le in Dorchester, MA since I can remember. I am beyond excited about 545* (I don't know how to do a degree symbol on this damn iPad). Finally the long despair I've had of not having a good banh mi outside of Massachusetts can finally go away!! First off, this place is clean which is a huge plus for me. If you've been to other Vietnamese banh mi places, you'll know how cluttered and overwhelming everything can be. This place has a very modern feel and the whole style/color scheme isn't gaudy. They have some freshly made Viet desserts/snacks in the big fridge by the ordering line which you can grab before getting to the cash register to place your order (if any) for banh mi or beverages. So far for sandwiches, I've had the Banh Mi Thit Nuong (lemongrass grilled pork), Banh Mi Dac Biet (pate, bbq pork, porkroll, and headcheese), and the Banh Mi Heo Quay (roasted pork). For dessert, I've had the Che 3 Mau. For drinks, I've had an avocado smoothie, mango smoothie, and nuoc mia (sugarcane juice). They've only been open for one day, but I've had all of this because I keep trying other people's food. :p And so far, so good! I'm going to make it a mission try everything on the menu, even the Banh Mi Tau Hu Chay (lemongrass tofu). I'm not even a big fan of tofu, but this place is so awesome, I'm going to try. They also do what most banh mi places do; you buy a certain amount of banh mi and you get one free. Here, you have to buy 5 to get another one for free. Vietnamese food is getting very popular and banh mi is one of the most popular eats. This place will win you over. Be warned though - since this place is new and has been long awaited, it will be busy! But it is well worth the wait. So would I come back here? Hellllllll yeahhh! Great food at great prices served by a great staff! Ah, I can hear my stomach growling now as I'm writing this.

Their banh mi is good, ordered the lemongrass grilled pork banh mi which taste good, for sure need to pay extra $1 for extra meat which is not that much still. I also like the sugar cane juice which is so refreshing. Cheap price for great taste food.

I LOVE THIS PLACE!! Seriously..I've never had a banh mi before I'm usually that person who only orders the one thing they are comfortable with and that was Phu and that was it, but this place has introduced me to some of the yummiest and freshest Vietnamese cuisine I had.

I wanted to try this place a second time before giving it a review. Yeah the first visit warranted a 5 star review but I just wanted to make sure and the second visit made it clear why 545 Banh Mi Cafe deserves a 5 star review. I'll get back to this in a minute. Firstly, the food here is excellent, I've tried bahn mi, buns, spring rolls, bubble tea and even this sesame seed pita looking thing for dessert. Everything was, fresh tasty and served quickly. The atmosphere is nice, nothing fancy but a little fast paced. Its hard to explain but its comfortable but at the same time there are a million things going on throughout the space. The service is what solidified the 5 star review. On my first visit they recognized we had never been there and took the time to explain the menu and what all of the delightful treats sprawled across the counter were. Our food was prepared quickly and delivered with a smile. On my last visit I arrived on crutches because of a sprained ankle. One of the employees saw me struggling to get to the door and before I was within 6 feet of the door darted out from behind the counter, opened the front door, assisted me to a seat and brought me a menu. This kind of service is above and beyond. Thank you for your help and enjoy the 5 star review!

This was my first time trying banh mi, and I'm happy to say it was great! My bf and I both got the lemongrass grilled pork (he got extra meat, I got mine as part of the sandwich + drink deal). The sandwich itself was delicious, but the bread to filling ratio was off, even on the extra meat sandwich. I normally don't eat that much, but this left me hungry. I think their portions are more suitable for lunch than dinner, and even then, I'd recommend getting one of their pre-made sides (which I want to try in the future). Their smoothies are also decent sized and just as good.

Gave two stars on food. I heard a lot of good things about this place so I decided to go there my self. I ordered a Korean BBQ beef Bahn Mi (roasted) and a taro smoothie to go. The bahn mi was not roasted properly and the bread is stale. The meat was hard to chew on and the vegetable is ok(not a lot of flavor for a wow factor from me). The overall taste.....I had better. Now to the Taro smoothie....took a couple of sips from it and tossed it out. During those couple of sips, I had an explosion of the taro powder and then it became really bland. As for customer service, I would give them 4 stars because they are very welcoming and friendly.

I really wanted to like this place but I just can't seem to find a reason. The boba tea feels somewhat watered down and otherwise unremarkable. Their banh mi is skimpy on the filling but they certainly didn't skimp on their prices. The flavor is good and probably the only decent place in SoFlo that I've found, but not worth the trip unless I'm stopping by Foodtown or the pho place next store.

I had the tofu sandwich and a strange dessert out of the fridge case. The sandwich came out quickly. The veggies were crisp and flavorful, the bread toasty, the fixins plentiful, and the service friendly. The venue was lively with a cool vintage yellow scooter parked out front. Sandwiches cost $4... cheap! Alongside 545º, this shopping center boasts: -Foodtown (the mother of all international supermarkets) -ASM Hair Academy (for $6 hair cuts!) -Three other Asian restaurants Worth a visit!

I love this place! And their customer service is excellent. The guy's at the front register are super friendly and funny. Their bubble tea is amazing! I always get their original milk tea with boba. I come here for their bubble tea at least twice a week. Their banh mi is also very good. HIGHLY recommend this place.

I was not impressed at all. I ordered a lemongrass pork and a Korean BBQ Bánh mì. The meat was tough and looked better than it tasted. On a good note, the bread was very good as so were the vegetables. I prefer the Noodle House in Lauderdale Lakes to this place.

I cannot believe I did not find this earlier. Shame on me. BUT... I'm glad Yelp directed me right the the front door for yummy sandwiches and my favorite Bubble Tea. I was excited to find this place. Seriously. It is pretty close to me and who thought in South Florida a Banh Mi shop would be hanging around. This place is pretty new so I'm glad I got to check this out. Now, being Viet I've had my share fair of Banh Mi sandwiches. My mom makes a mean sandwich. But for the price, location and sheer thought of actually having a decent Banh Mi close is why I rated t his a 5 stars. I realize compared to maybe other places in Cali and the market is saturated with options which we don't get here people not be as excited for this place. But forget them and go somewhere else! I also love this concept. Sandwiches and bubble tea. Keeping it pretty simple. I had tried to talk my mom into coming down here to Florida and opening a similar place because I love the idea. Now getting to the food. I had a chicken banh mi and a milk tea. Both pretty decent. A bit skimpy on the meat but for what I paid of less than $10 can't complain. They also sometimes have other Viet yummies that I grew up eating. The owner even came out and asked me if I need anything. He went back and made me spring rolls with out pork. I also tried the Viet Coffee - also yummy. Dandwiches come out quickly, sometimes the drinks take time. For overall, price I love this place. it does quite busy at times and I also have seen many Viet people here so all in all it is a good fine. Can't wait to go back!

Awesome banh mi! I have to say I like it even more than the Orlando establishments i frequented while I lived up there. The roasted pork has a nice flavor. They also add a good amount of pate which makes this sandwich so tasty! Their bread is also very good. I got 6 of them to go and toasted it in my over at 375 for about 8 minutes. Perfection! Nice and crispy! Their pickled carrots are on point! If you buy 5 sandwiches, you get 1 free and all for $20. And who can pass that up?! It takes about two sandwiches to fill me up. So I'd like to think of the deal as two meals and a snack :). They also have a $8 minimum for credit cards. They are right next door to pho 79!

Fresh baked Vietnamese baguette, fresh Vietnamese coffee with condensed milk, and fresh squeezed (ground?) sugar cane juice. This was in addition to the lemongrass marinated tofu sandwich! Another delicious and amazingly inexpensive meal. I love the food, the photos of Vietnam, the Vietnamese music, and the friendly people here who enjoy explaining about the food and drinks. Who knew the perfect Davie hangout would be a Vietnamese sandwich shop?

I've been to this cafe twice now, and although I really wanted to love it, I can't. On my first visit, I ordered The Works and was much less than thrilled by it. The bread was soggy and there wasn't much meat. There weren't enough pickled veggies either. It was mediocre at most, and quite the disappointment to a banh mi lover. Banh Mi Nha Trang in Orlando is my go-to for banh mi in Florida, and I was hoping that this cafe would be a more in-reach place with quality banh mi. Sadly, that wasn't the case. I decided to give the cafe another chance and payed another visit. I bought the banh beo, and they were pretty good. Not stellar or anything, but decent. I'd take it over the banh mi. Service was okay, nothing too special about it. Cashier was a bit nonchalant and not too peppy. Also, when I was eating, I witnessed one of the employees in the kitchen wipe the sweat off his forehead with his gloves on...totally defeated the purpose of wearing the gloves to prepare the food. Overall, it was a let-down to me. If you are in the mood to try it out though, I recommend staying away from the banh mi (at least The Works one) and trying the different vietnamese dishes that they have available each day.

Due to some of the high reviews of this place, I came in to check them out for lunch. In my honest opinion, the banh mi sandwiches here have much room for improvement. Two stars for the food: the lack of flavor in the meat and the dryness of the baguette. The taste of the store-made baguette, however, deserves praise. More stars for the feel of this place - it is clean and orderly in its newness. There were other Vietnamese food options besides sandwiches which I may try on future visits.

The banh mi are great, I just wish they toast the bread a little more. I tend to like my bread on the flakier side. Drinks are priced well. And they have a decent selection of pre-packaged snacks and meals to go. I'm a fan of the rice pudding with red bean and taro smoothie.

Very good sandwiches, and rolls. Refreshing sugarcane juice and desserts. We had two number ones, Sugar cane juice, and an order of rolls and they were delicious. Compared to California ( a place notorious for being expensive ) this was very very pricey. Bahn Mi in San Jose's ranges from $2.75 to 3.50. Seems like it's: California prices x 2 = here :) I guess I will have to get used to it. It also tastes a little less "Vietnamese" than I'm used to. I guess they made allowances for the local taste which is predominantly latino, and white. If you are spoiled like I am because of having lived near nice Vietnamese area like "Little Saigon" neighborhood around the Tully area in San Jose you have to make allowance. This is Florida, and we are not there yet :) Still it's nice to have this addition to our local ecosystems diversity :) I can't afford to eat here almost everyday like back in San Jose at these prices; but, I will as much as I can when I can :) P.S. If you read this review and want to check the Tully area in San Jose, please note that it's a nice place for food, and coffee. It's not a nice place to go for a walk especially at night. It's not always safe. So plan on a lunch if you are not a local and you don't have friends in the area. Yelp has TONS of reviews on where to go :)

LOVE LOVE LOVE this place!! Extremely affordable, and just flat out delicious. It's a hidden gem next to the BEST pho in Broward county, Pho 79. If you're in a hurry and need a quick bite to eat grab a sandwich from here. Healthy and cheaper than going to McDonalds. The service here is impeccable and the owner is incredibly nice. I was pleasantly surprised when we came in for Boba tea. In other places we've been to for Boba it can come out bland but every time we've come it's extremely flavorful, and the desserts are baked fresh all day as well. Picky Eater Husband gives it five stars as well!!

This is the best Vietnamese Baguette in South Miami. You will have no doubt when you come here. Just need to other your right taste if you are not Vietnamese. Their menu has many choices from baguette to Vietnamese deserts and special delicious bubble teas. I feel grateful to have this place in my neighborhood. My favorite baguette is the special one since its so authentic and yummy. You can even take away and roast it in the oven for the next day and its still fresh.

A must. Everything is very fresh and tasty. I made sure to try a banh mi, summer rolls, dessert, and a milk tea with tapioca. ALL were outstanding! The bread in the banh mi was crusty and light, the fillings were hearty and tangy. I tried the lemongrass pork. Summer rolls were clearly made fresh, within hours, and very good. They were a little heavy on the cabbage, but the dipping sauce was great. I also opted for a taro milk tea and a dessert. The sesame rice balls are a must try! The milk tea was also really tasty and full of tapioca. Service was really good and fast. I will be back.... Wish it wasn't so far from me

Awesome find in Broward. There are not that many great choices when it comes to Vietnamese/Korean/Thai/Chinese/Filipino. To start off with this Café sits right next to Pho 79. I am happy that I found a place that has Banh Mi on a daily basis and not rely on smaller Asian markets that sell Banh Mi on the weekends. Familiar food, drinks, and dessert with a modern trendy flare. I am used to the deals that Northern Virginia Cafe's offered such as "Buy 5, get 1 Free" and this place has "Buy 10, get 1". That was a turn off especially since I can deal with dropping $20 on sandwiches, especially when I get 1 free all on my own. But to make me buy 10? Second opportunity is the Sugar Cane drink was not served with a orange slice. That is something that I am used to seeing in authentic Cafe's back up North. I need to try the Che and Ca Phe before giving this place a better rating. But so far so good!

I went to 545 Banh Mi for the first time on a whim today. I had seen it on Yelp, and decided to give it a try. First of all, the staff is extremely friendly and helpful. I asked several questions about the menu and the guy behind the counter was more than helpful. Per his recommendation, I got the #5 BBQ beef banh mi, I also got the shrimp spring rolls with peanut sauce. Both the sandwich and spring rolls were excellent, and it was a total of about $10. It was way more food than I could eat. I do have to agree with some of the other reviews that the banh mi could use more filling, it was delicious, but mostly bread. I saw on another review that you can get extra veggies for 50 cents, so I will absolutely do that next time. I am already looking forward to my next visit to 545 Banh Mi!

I discovered this place about 3 weeks ago and have been back at least once a week since then. I am working my way down the list of sandwiches, and I have also tried some of their Asian buns. I grew up on (not-so-sweet) Asian desserts and I love their offerings. I have a milk allergy; so, I have not tried any of their smoothies or bubble teas. I want to make a trip there with a lot of people so we can order different things and try each other's. That way I get down the list faster. :-) So far, everything I've had is delicious. The sandwiches are about the size of a 6-inch sub and are decently filling. I absolutely love the lightly marinated, crunchy vegetables on them. I think next time I will spring for double veggies on my sandwich...an extra 50 cents. After all, at only $4 each, I can splurge. The restaurant also offers traditional Vietnamese spring rolls and one never knows what specialty buns or wraps (all Asian) will be offered by the register. There are lots of items that you can just grab and take out. But, you don't have to get your sandwich to go. The café offers seating for around 20 or so in a very clean, modern, cool environment. Check it out! You won't be sorry!

This is a fantastic Vietnamese sandwich shop. My favorite is the lemongrass grilled pork with an iced Vietnamese coffee to drink. Wish they would open one in downtown Miami.

Hmmmm what's the word I'm looking for -- oh, anorexic! I guess you get what you pay for. I got the combo of banh mi and boba tea for $8. The bread was great but it certainly lacked content. Don't get me wrong it tasted good tho. I got the marinated chicken and it was delish. I just wished there was more of the meat, carrots, daikon, and cilantro in it. On the other hand, I think they make really good bubble teas! Yum...will be back to try their desserts.

I love their dessert and friendly staff. Their Boba doesn't compare to what I've tried at Pho Hoa. It tastes a little bit chalky. You can taste the powder they put in the smoothie. I also asked for lychee jelly and it literally wasn't lychee It was some sort of multi-colored jelly. I bought the flat white banh beo with shredded dried shrimp and sautéed scallions which was quite expensive for just plain white flour $4.95? If you're going to charge that amount, have a larger portion. It should've been at least $3.00. I won't ever purchase anything there except for dessert. Their banh mi is mediocre. I love food and I can say I am a food snob. I hope all goes well in the future.

Just judging based on their bubble tea! I ordered a mango bubble tea smoothie with lychee jelly and I have to say I'm impressed! I love that they use fresh fruit, it sweetens the drink in such a natural way. I wish they had more food options though. Nonetheless, Definitely coming back :)

The steamed pork bun was AMAZING! I also ordered the summer roll i believe that's what it's called. It was okay, but i do not like cilantro so im sure without that it would have been great. My friend loved their bubble tea also so I'll be back for that soon.

Best bahn mi in south Florida that I know of. The #1 with extra meat is my go to sandwich, as it's the traditional style. Bread is baked fresh and about perfect. They've recently added a bunch more Vietnamese items served box lunch style. The smoothies rock too. Well worth the drive from south beach. Reasonable prices for the area as well. They get a lot of the Vietnamese community also, so that's definitely a good sign. Staff is helpful and friendly, restaurant is kept nice and clean too. Check it out!

Went here today and ordered shrimp spring roll and #2 pork sandwich. nice clean bright place with friendly staff; however, sandwich left a lot to be desired. it was mostly bread, very little meat or other contents. the spring rolls were better but sandwich was lame.

Finally a great banh mi store that reminds me a bit of home in California. They make some amazing sandwiches and vietnamese coffee. Surprisingly, they make everything from scratch in house. If your in a hurry, they got great small platters and goodies that are perfect for lunch or dinner. If your me, the classic works of dac biet is a great way to really taste the original. If you want flavor than you gotta go for the bbq grilled meat sandwiches. For dessert, you gotta try the vietnamese yogurt from the fridge. It's a hidden gem that not a whole lot of peeps know about. Overall, great shop for banh mi.

  • Howie R.

Second time in. Both times got a Bahn Mi and a Vietnamese Coffee. The Vietnamese coffee was solid, though it's a simple drink that should be almost impossible to mess up. The Bahn Mi's were very good. The bread is in house made, the Roast Pork was well prepared Pork Belly, and the Lemongrass grilled pork is so far my favorite. Next time I'm going to be brave and order the house special. If you factor in the price it is a huge bargain for the quality of food you get. The service was what I like to call FFF (Friendly For Florida) and were happy to answer any questions. The only minor complaint I have is they do not offer delivery even though the website and the door states they do.

Bought their Vietnamese sandos for tomorrow lunch so don't know if its tasted good or not. However this place have many different types of Vietnamese desert and prepacked snack. Their avocados smoothies was good. Very clean and new looking establishment and service are fast.

It wasn't easy for me to find a place that sells good bahn-mi in this area until this place opened up. The people who work here are very nice and the quality of food is great. I personally think this is the best bahn-mi in the area. My theory is that if you see a lot of Asian people at an Asian restaurant, it's probably very good, and every time I'm here, the place is always packed with asians.

I tried this place twice and I was really not impressed. First try: The first experience I went a day after it opened (Saturday night) with my sister, and although there were not that many people there, the wait was still a bit long. Since they had bubble tea and smoothies (I really wanted to find a good boba place) I decided to order the green tea milk tea and my sister ordered the avocado smoothie both with tapioca and the Korean BBQ sandwich. I am giving it a three star because of the meat of the sandwich- the meat was really juicy and flavorful and I couldn't get enough of it. However, the bread was incredibly dry and hard; since the bread sits out, I don't know how long exactly it was sitting out, but it was completely dry and difficult to chew. However, I was not impressed with their smoothies/boba teas at all. My green tea milk tasted like cantaloupe and I know most of the time asian places use matcha green tea powder to make the green tea boba, so it has that green color and flavor, but it was definitely NOT green but white. I asked my sister to taste it which she did confirm to say it was really cantaloupe or some type of melon. So I went back to the restaurant and told them about the taste to which they politely changed it. However, the second time it was clear that they did not put enough matcha in it at all, since there was only a faint of green and taste of the actual matcha green tea powder. Incredibly disappointed. My sister's avocado smoothie turned out good surprisingly, however, she did say there was still also a cantaloupe or some type of melon aftertaste. I am not a big fan of tapioca pearls, however, the pearls were immensely undercooked; they were so hard to chew. Second try; I wanted to give their smoothies another chance since it's been a couple of weeks since they opened. I went tonight, and I got the honeydew smoothie with lychee jelly. Not only did they mess up my order again (they gave me taro instead), but the lychee jelly was really... not lychee at all but multi-colored jellies that had no absolute flavor at all. Most importantly, this time they were overcooked and it was really squishy.... If I was to ever go back to this place again, I will definitely not try their smoothies/boba teas anymore and I'll maybe consider trying their different type of sandwiches.

The best bánh mi in south Florida! I've had many bánh mi in San Fransisco and this is as good as it or even better. Breads and headcheese are home made and vegetables are organic all from homestead. And it's only $4 each. The owner is ver nice too. Must try!

What an amazing little place!!! The sandwiches and smoothies are delicious and the ingredients are so fresh! I have never had such an amazing smoothie. It showcased the true flavor of the fruit, it was simply incredible. Each ingredient in the sandwich complimented each other and married perfectly to create a party for my taste buds. I loved everything about this place! The environment and customer service was exceptional! I can't wait to go back!

I passed by after shopping at foodtown. It was ok. Cute concept for a Vietnamese sandwich shop. It's set up like an Asian subway... With little desserts and smoothies available. The boba shake was alright... Had better. The sandwiches were good to eat but I have definitely eaten better ones in areas like Orlando's Colonial Drive!

I've been there twice. The best bahn-mi I've tried in Florida so far. My favorite, the works. The baguette is fresh and delicious, the sticky rice is good. I like the boba milk tea, the only thing is the tapioca is overcooked. Price is fair, service excellent. They're very patient explaining/showing the ingredients. Will def be back again

Quick, tasty and priced right!! The bread was perfect and the sandwich was flavorful. I do agree with previous comment that there should be more daikon and veggies, but what do you expect for $4? The Vietnamese coffee was perfect, but my favorite was the sesame ball with mung bean, so perfect I cannot describe it!

I was visiting south Florida from NYC, and I was in the mood for a bahn mi sandwich, like the kind I get at home. To make a longer story somewhat shorter, I ordered a number 10 (tofu sandwich), because I don't eat meat, and a number 8 (chicken sandwich) for the person I was with. After fixing the sandwich and labeling them with a black marker so there would be no mistakes, a worker hands me my order with a smirk on his face. I get to the hotel, open my sandwich, and dig in. I thought it tasted okay, not bad, but after a few bites realized that the person who did the labeling didn't get it right. I was, in fact, eating chicken. And the person I was with then realized she was eating tofu that kind of looked like chicken. And hour after that my stomach ached really badly and the person I was with, who had eaten only a few bites of her sandwich, well, she threw up and was feeling sick all day. None of this would have happened had the workers labeled the sandwiches correctly. A lack of focus and attention to our order, and some rude staff, and not very tasty sandwiches, earns this a vote of 1 star. Oh, and there was very little meat and tofu in the sandwiches. :-(

Near perfect lunch spot for those who are open to a different, Vietnamese/French twist on a sandwich. We found the fresh Banh Mi sandwiches here to be delicious. (For the uninitiated, "Bahn Mi" are Vietnamese sandwiches on French bread.) Very solid smoothies too--try the soursop and a crushed sugar cane drink seems to be quite popular, too. Only downside? A somewhat sleazy setting, adjacent to a liquor store in an otherwise charmless strip mall. That said, we'll be back, as this nice little oasis truly pleased the entire clan.

Worth the drive all the way down from Oakland Park. This Vietnamese plaza is home to my favorite pho restaurant. It's actually right next door to this place. The banh mi sandwiches here are cheap, and delicious. Just like their soup counterpart / competitor next door. I also had a milkshake kind of thing made with avocados. Honestly, I only ordered it because it sounded so bizarre that it had to be delicious, and it was. To top off the experience, we had the donut style pastry to go for dessert. It was really, really good. Not too sweet, but sweet enough to make me want to come back.

I've been here so many times now - it's time to write this review! After seeing such awesome reviews, I finally hit up 545 for a quick meeting. It's located in a strip mall - with fairly easy parking, but that of course depends on the time of the day you show up. This is one of those places I'd likely would've never gone to if it wasn't for Yelp....but, I'm so glad I found it. Grabbed some bubble tea and a Banh Mi (for about $7 - which is a special they run) and was pretty impressed with the price/quality. I've been back a few times - and always get tea. I've tried the Taro and the Thai tea. Both with tapioca pearls - both equally amazing. A few days ago I went in JUST to get my tea fix - on a hot summer day. As far as the food -I've only had the lemon grass pork. It's delicious. It comes in a perfectly toasted bun with pickled carrots and daikon, cilantro, cucumber, jalapeno, and house mayonnaise. It's not massive, but gets the job done for a lunch - especially paired with a bubble tea! The staff has always been extremely nice. I posted a couple of photos on Instagram and the almost immediately replied back thanking me for coming in and supporting - that's a really nice touch - and shows their customer service is top notch. I'll be back in to get my bubble tea fix - as well as to try some of the other banh mi's and various snacks they have.

Great Asian fast food concept. Very small place but efficient with simple menu. Walk in and you are immediately enticed by double refrigerated display of dessert drinks. Turn around and there's another counter with rows of pre-prepped asian pastries and vietnamese food concoctions. Right next to order counter, more food to-go options like sesame balls, steams buns and sticky rice wrapped in banana leaves. Or you can just opt for the one their tasty Banh Mi sandwiches which are made to order. I picked up 3 pre-prepped selections. Grilled pork on rice vermicelli, shrimp summer rolls and couple of steam pork buns. I was pleasantly surprised that they were fresh not knowing how long ago they were prepped. The shrimp and rice paper were fresh. The buns were soft, semi sweet & stuffed full of meat & egg. Grilled pork was plenty & marinated well & rice vermicelli was al dente. Very affordable prices and big portions. I also noticed the staff rotate the display items very often. I guess that's how they keep the products fresh. I will definitely come back for the Korean Bbq Beef or The Works banh mi & try one of their fresh smoothies :)
