We live nearby and saw that there was a Groupon and decided to try it. The first time we tried to use it, I called first. It was a rainy day and we just wanted to get out of the house. The man that answered the phone told me we could come down, but they were short staffed and we would be waiting a while. I appreciate the heads up. We decided to wait and go another day. When we did go, we were treated at the door by the owner. He was very nice and later came by our table to check on us. We love living in Davenport because we feel like the local restaurants are so much more personable. We started off by ordering drinks. We had the Tropical Storm Carrie. It was $5 with top shelf. Can't beat that! We're tequila drinkers and enjoyed it. For dinner, we shared the fried green beans and the brisket sandwich. As some have stated, the portions do look small when they come out. But guess what. We were both full when we left. It's quality over quantity here. No leftovers to take home, but we enjoyed every bite. Our waitress was very helpful and made sure to explain everything to us. Even made a suggestion to mix two particular BBQ sauces together. And she was right! They were good together. I like to see local places make it. So if you're in the area and enjoy good service and BBQ, stop in!

great family owned BBQ place. from the outside, it doesnt look at all like a "stereotypical BBQ joint". very upper class and very affordable by comparison to other locations in Orlando. the location is definitely away from the hustle and bustle of Orlando so it has a 'local feel'. ribs are excellent! nachos is not your typical corn tortilla nachos, but more like a modified chips spectacular.

My wife and I were in the area house hunting. We are not from the area so I decided to use Yelp to help us decide where to go for lunch. I read the reviews on Ovation and we're glad that we stopped in to try the food. We tried the smoked chicken wings and it was delicious. It had great tasting flavor and it was juicy. I had the baby back ribs and my wife had the lobster taco and both we delicious as well. The house made BBQ sauce is Fantastic. Our server's name is Mike and he was excellent as well. He was very passionate about the food and had great recommendation. Customer service was excellent. Taste of food = 5 Customer service = 5 Overall experience = 5 Total score = 15 ÷ 3 = 5/5 I highly recommend this place not only for the great tasting food and customer service but to support the local business, since they just opened 3 months ago.

Came here last night with my boyfriend, the atmosphere was amazing! The servers were friendly and knowledgable. 2-4-1 drinks all day was a big plus ! House wines were good! Bummer that they were out of not your fathers root beer :( We had the potato skins as an appetizer. They were delicious. I had the grand Caesar salad with shrimp, and my man had the fully loaded burger. Everything was hot and cooked just how we asked !

Be sure to check in here as you get a 5% coupon! Tonight some of the wait staff didn't show so the place was having some trouble but it didnt get anyone down! Our waitress smiled and was so pleasant! The owner/ chef walked around to help out and even greeted us at the door. This is a small bar/ restaurant with upscale food. I was happy to have all of the great food selections! They serve everything from burgers, salads, and steaks to scallops, calamari, and a variety of fish dishes. Two of us had hamburgers topped with onion rings and bacon. They know how to make a great burger for sure! I had the scallops, slightly over cooked and super small. I wasn't crazy over my food but I'm happy with the experience over all! We even topped the meal off with dessert. The sea salt caramel cheese cake is fantatic!

Cheesecake and upside down cakes are superb! Price is reasonable. I will definitely go back and recommend this bistro.

Driving home from Tampa and found this gem. Amazing service. Great drinks. The food is what you would expect in a Top Chef restaurant. So freaking good. I even bought a gift card for my parents.

My family and I really enjoy this restaurant very much. There food is better then average, but there service is the best I ever seen. Trust me, I'm a chef on vacation with my family. I dine and eat at a lot of restaurants so I really know what I'm talking about. Thanks again for a great meal!!!!!

Stopped by Saturday night at about 8:15pm for dinner and the place had about 6 tables sat. By the time our meals arrived, every table in Ovation bistro & bar was full! It was my first time going, and definitely had a good experience. The place still smells new, the staff were all very friendly, and the food was better than I expected it would be. I ordered the Chicken Acclaim, which is a grilled chicken breast topped with BBQ sauce, bacon and cheese. It was really flavorful and came with 2 sides (I got broccoli and Mac & cheese). Their Mac & Cheese was SO good! The portion was a little small, but I really liked it. My boyfriend ordered bacon wrapped shrimp from the seasonal appetizer menu, and he said it was quite good. For both of us, including a beer & a cocktail, the meal was less than $35. Our server was really friendly, though a bit flustered by the number of tables. I noticed that the chef popped by some of the tables, but he didn't come to ours (not a complaint, just an observation). The table next to us had 4 different people visit to ask what they wanted to drink, which seemed a bit much but I know they were just making sure the people were taken care of. The decor is pretty basic, though stylish. There is a full bar, which is a huge plus. They also have outdoor seating, which includes bowls for dogs to drink out of. I will definitely be back!!

Wife and I checked Yelp for a place to go for cocktails. We saw several good comments and decided to try it. We were pleasantly surprised. We sat at the bar and had some drinks. Wife ordered the salmon and I had the brisket. Both were very good. Our server, Carey was extremely nice. She was attentive and always there to help. My briskit just fell apart and was very tasty. Wife really liked the Salmon . Coleslaw was great, mashed patatos and green beans were right on! We will be back. Maybe this will be our Friday spot for cocktsils!

Great family and fun atmosphere. I can tell this is where the locals go for great food and service. Our group of 16 tried everything on the menu it seemed and all had rave comments. The owner stopped by is a very nice guy who donates a portion of his revenue in a way to pay it back. Drive just a few miles away from the standard overpriced resort area fare and enjoy the local atmosphere and top notch food. You will be glad you did.

Delicious smoked ribs, wings, mac and cheese, sweet potato fries, green beans....so really everything we had was fantastic! So good we ended up having dinner here two nights in a row. Food was great and most importantly, consistent. Not to mention the attentive and friendly wait staff. The owner even stopped by both times to chat and ask how things were going. Joel has a real passion for his business and it shows. If we lived here, I'm pretty sure this would be our weekly date night spot. Thanks for a wonderful experience!

My daughter and I chose this restaurant for a late lunch based on the wonderful Yelp reviews we read. Unfortunately, our experience was less than stellar. The place is very dark, even in FL in the afternoon. Their water tastes downright horrible, so she had to order a soda. Once we received our food, everything continued to go downhill. My daughter ordered the (somewhat expensive $12) chicken strips, only to discover they looked like something out of the freezer section in Walmart- heavily breaded, cooked to a dark crisp and VERY little meat inside. When we were asked "how is everything,.. good?" by a different waitress than the one who took our order, we asked if this was how the meat was supposed to look. She replied, "yes, they are delicious!" Then the chef came over and we showed him the food and he said: "that's how the meat comes from our asian distributer"...??? We proceeded to take pictures of the food and someone must have alerted the manager, as he too came over to our table. He graciously offered my daughter something else and reluctantly, she agreed to try the burger. She said it was good and I love the grilled impression on the bun. My margarita flatbread was dry but, I have to say, the bacon wrapped shrimp appetizer, although not completely "wrapped" with bacon was quite good and very tasty but not enough for us to come back. All in all, probably won't be back.

This was our last stop as we left Orlando and by far the best meal and service. We were greeted upon entering, seated immediately and given our menus. They have a separate kids menu with healthier than most options for kids. Our server was friendly and courteous and beyond attentive...we started with the fried green bean appetizer which was so tasty we devoured it before I took a picture. We stopped in for lunch on a Sunday and decided to have lighter fare... My husband had the Bbq chicken sandwich with the chicken corn Tortilla soup as a side. I opted for the buffalo chicken sandwich with blue cheese and a side of mashed potatoes instead of the Fries. The soup was very good and the mashed potatoes were better than homemade. My daughter had the salad and had the chicken on the side. While the portions are not huge but they are very reasonably priced and very well prepared. We saved room for dessert and we're glad we did, the pineapple upside down cake is fresh out of the oven and a must! Our server was even kind enough to offer us drinks to go. We will definitely be back here next time we are in Orlando.

Very reasonable prices and a great varied menu. Service was friendly and prompt. The owner came and checked in with us and was very friendly. We enjoyed an appetizer of fried green beans that were tasty. The lobster tacos were delicious and the baked mac and cheese was excellent. My wife got the special which was a juicy pork chop. Both kids finished their plates. We'll definitely be coming back.

We found Ovation on yelp and decided to try it. Our dinner was excellent. The chicken tortilla soup was excellent, BBQ was tasty and the Mac and cheese to die for. Had the caramel and sea salt cheesecake for dessert and wanted to lick the plate. We will be definitely coming back and will recommend it to our friends and family.

Staying in the area for business and searched for a place to have dinner. Found Ovation on Yelp. They did not disappoint, super friendly staff, cute atmosphere. Several menu items are tagged where they donate a meal of you order those items. The 10 oz ribeye was cooked perfectly throughout, Pittsburgh medium, the baked beans are addictive, nice baked potato. Can see this little place as a local favorite! SUPPORT THE INDEPENDENTS FRIENDS! These folks are worth it and the food is great, nice bar as well!!

Their are few times when one has the perfect burger. Tonight was one of those times! Cooked to perfection seasoned properly. The Ova tion. Bistro has got it going on! Joel the owner makes it his priority to come out of the kitchen to greet his guests.

I was excited to try this place! I work in Davenport, and we can always use more food options. This place is a pretty solid 3.5 stars, and it has a lot of potential. The sweet tea was really stale, and that disappointed me. The Caesar salad was really good! I'm not a huge fan of how it's served. For the main course, I had the salmon, green beans, and lobster macaroni and cheese. I was a little saddened by the salmon because the glaze way overpowered the salmon, and there was very much a lack of salt on the salmon and the macaroni and cheese (macaroni and cheese was otherwise VERY good). I tried my SO's brisket, and we both agreed it was a little too dry and is served "burnt end" style. Some people like that. Not necessarily my cup of tea. He agreed that the tortilla soup was excellent. The cheesecake was BY FAR the most impressive part of the meal. A salted caramel cheesecake with a super wow factor. It's not a large piece, but it packs huge flavor. Our server assured us they made it there, and that made it much more impressive. I thought for sure it must have come from a bakery. The service was great. The entire staff is very friendly and the restaurant is very clean. The food is solid, but it's not WOW. It could certainly be a wow place, maybe with a little more time. We will return.

Finally, a great place to eat in the Davenport area. I've been to few places that are ok, but this, this place was great. Ovation Bistro & Bar replaces the old sports bar The End Zone that was no so good. We had a really nice waitress serve is, I believe her name may have been Rachel. Very attentive and sweet. We ordered the Tribute Shrimp as an appetizer. Delicious. Perfectly cooked and a good size. The dipping sauce that came with the shrimp was very good it had a slight kick that was spot on. As an entree I ordered the Woodfire Grilled Chicken with wild rice and fries. The chicken was grilled to perfection and succulent. I wedge Caesar salad arrived prior to my entree. A delightfully, enjoyable salad. The fries were as good as it gets. The rice was lush, rich, and balanced. If you are ever on I-4 just a couple of exits from the Disney theme parks if your coming from Tampa or three exits from the last Disney on ramp of your traveling west on I-4, you have to seek out this place. It's a quarter mile just off I-4 going south. This mom and pop shop could not come more highly recommended. Family Friendly and you can come with your pet and dine outside.

We started with the cheese fries with bacon - added jalapeños. For $8.90, the serving was quite small compared to a place like Texas Roadhouse or Longhorn Steakhouse. I'd say it was more like a $6 appetizer serving. I had the burger with baked mac and cheese. The burger was good, but the serving of the macaroni and cheese was very small. It came in a small circular bowl and wasn't even 1/2 full. Definitely not enough to be a legit side order. My wife had sirloin with mashed potatoes and broccoli. She said the steak and mashed potatoes were excellent, but the broccoli was strange. She told the waitress and ordered a sweet potato in its place. The sweet potato was great, as I finished it. Boys had Mac and cheese and a burger with fries. They didn't complain at all. Overall, it is a nice place and the manager even brought out some more, fresh broccoli for my wife, but the portions need to be larger or the prices need to go down. $9 for French fries, cheese, and bacon is too much.

Brand new place for our friends on 27! Only opened 2 months and already a hit with locals! I was excited to see as we arrived they cater to our dogs with a welcome sign to pups at the outside seating and side seating in the grass area as well. They also provide a doggie clean up station and a big bin of dog biscuits to boot!! As for us humans this is a great new place with solid American fare and my fave BBQ! Service was great and our waitress was very knowledgable and quick! The manager Joel came over and welcomed us as well, which is always nice for a manager to do especially in a new place with new customers! (Hint, hint to other restaurants that forget these little but important niceties!) I was delighted to find out they had $5 happy hour drinks and/or two for drinks, depending on what you imbibe! We started with a Margherita flatbread that was made nicely with a crisp crust and balsamic reduction drizzle. The French onion soup was also good with gobs of cheese and a nice hearty broth. For entrees we had the sizzling steak and wedge salad with tons of tomato, bacon. Blue cheese crumbles, onions and a blue cheese dressing with a balsamic glaze! This salad was presented beautifully and was so satisfying! The other entree was the beef brisket that had a truly nice smoked flavor from 8 hours of smoking! They served it up with their house special trio of BBQ sauces that really rocked! You had a traditional BBQ sauce, a spicy sauce and my favorite which was the tangy gold that was like no sauce I ever encountered with a subtle taste of mustard! Really nice! I would buy a bottle of this stuff and put it on everything!! The ambiance and decor was modern warehouse with interesting lighting fixtures and full bar. I will definitely be back, with my pup to sample their BBQ sampler, fried green beans and baby back ribs!

Amazingly friendly service! Extremely reasonably priced! The owner came out and paid personal attention to us. We loved the atmosphere. I had the 6oz sirloin medium rare and it was perfect! I added a side of lobster mac and cheese which was also fantastic. My boyfriend had the fully loaded burger and he loved it. I can't say enough great things about this place! We live in Winter Garden and plan on coming out to Davenport regularly just to eat here.

Good family restaurant. Kids get a bag of animal crackers with their kids menu. Really good potato and french onion soup. Good crispy fries and cheese fries. Burgers were the bomb!

If you're on the fence about going to this place, give it a shot. My family popped in today based solely on the other Yelp reviews and we were not disappointed. I had the Chicken BBQ Club sandwich. The chicken was cooked perfectly, as were the ample slices of bacon. To top it all off, the bistro's name was toasted onto the top of the bun. A nice touch, indeed. The owner was very welcoming and made us feel right at home. And when the bill came, it didn't break the bank at all. I will definitely return when I'm in this neck of the woods.

UPDATE: Was able to stop before heading to our plain! Amazing food. Fish tacos were even better than the lobster!! Very sad we do not have this place back home but we wish the owner and his staff great success! Thank you!!! UPDATE: After 7 days in The Champions Gate area, theme park visits and other restaurants we can proudly say this place was the best food and bang for your buck!! We did eat at a much higher scale restaurant and gave it 5 star as well but we also paid 2-3 times as much. We still have 3 days left and hope to return one final time but for service, food and price this place is #1 Wonderful place and family owned. Food was top notch. Lobster tacos are fabulous, bacon wrapped shrimp was great, salads were good, drinks were wonderful and staff was top notch. Owner came and talked with us and ensured we had a great meal. We are going to try and return before vacation is over!

We stopped in here based on other yelp reviews and we weren't disappointed! The interior is nicely decorated with great ambiance. The service was great even on a Friday night. I had the lobster tacos with lobster mac and cheese and broccoli as my sides. My husband had the imperial tilapia with rice pilaf and broccoli. Everything was delicious! Great beer menu and the specialty drinks were great, a perfect compliment to our meals. Stop in if your in the area (or even if you're not)! The owner stopped by our table and made sure we enjoyed everything. Great guy!

Delicious food, nice service and friendly owner (Joel). Lobster mac was very tasty as well as the pork (brisket!) tacos. Definitely worth the stop if you're looking for lunch/dinner near Posner Park area.

We were a group of 13 staying at Champions Gate and looking for a nearby restaurant. Decided to try this one and were very pleased with our choice. Food was excellent and offered at a fair price. I recommend the ribs and the cesar dressing was delicious. Joel, the owner, came around to offer a personal touch.

Wasn't impressed. Scallops were so tiny and over cooked. Too expensive for what we got. My friends burger was raw.

I travel a lot and eat out even more. In my part of town all the restaurants are subpar to this establishment. The man at the door was extremely nice. I believe he was the owner. the waitress paid attention to us very well and checked in on us many times. My wife and I ordered house salads that were excellent. Bacon wrapped shrimp that was unbelievable and 2 rib eye steaks. Felt like the Food was brought to our table instantly. I don't know why this place only has 4.5 rating they should make a new rating in yelp for this place at 10 stars. Will definitely come again when I'm in the area.

This restaurant was a spur of the moment selection because of traffic on the highway but we were VERY pleased with the service and the food was AMAZING. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone. I would also recommend trying the bacon wrapped bbq shrimp that alone is definitely 5 stars.

They are still in soft-opening. Place isn't too big, but service and foods are not bad. For foods: -French onion soup is watery. -Beef Brisket is ok as they smoke all meats by themselves. Tasty but a bit dry. -Please use Mexican style chip for Nachos, not the normal one. Bigger portion and more stuffing will be better. Give them more time to improve and would love to say that the Bartender, Carrie is really nice and caring. Will come back and hope the foods will get better.

Ate dinner there last night. Ribs were good. Corn side was disappointing as corn is in season and what was served wasn't very good - quite possibly frozen. A nice, local place. Very clean. Great bar with TVs.

We had a wonderful meal with our grandchildren. Eliza was our server. She was wonderful. You may consider adding a fish choice for children on their menu. We had fish tacos, child's portion salmon, corvina etc.

Recently we were down in Orlando for a convention and we decided to check this place out for dinner. The staff was friendly as could be and the food was delicious. We walked in and there was no wait and the place was very clean. For food we ordered the rib eye steak with fresh vegetables. Food came out quickly and it was reasonably priced. I would definitely recommend this place.

Oh my god!! I cannot rave enough about Ovation Bistro and Bar!! This was my second time here and we came specifically to try their trivia. That was fun, but my dinner was phenomenal!! I had the lobster bite tacos, fries, and lobster Mac and cheese. They were all very tasty but the fries are what really impressed me! I am picky about French fries. The owner and our waitress were super friendly and attentive even though they had a packed house for trivia!! They also have the Schofferhoffer grapefruit beer, which I love! Try this place! You won't be disappointed!!

In town on vacation and was searching for somewhere to take my husband for his birthday... I couldn't have have picked a better place. We took our almost 2 year old and they were more than welcoming. Upon walking in we were greeted by the owner Joel Rodriguez. Joel had a great personality and you could tell he is very passionate about his business. He took us to our booth and he handed my daughter crayons, a coloring page, and animal crackers. Awesome! Besides the amazing atmosphere, the food was delicious. I had the ribeye and my husband had the ribs. Both were outstanding. The potato soup was also some of the best I have had. We also had warm brownie dessert since it was my husbands birthday. Yum!!! Top that all off with 2 for 1 draft beers... I was sold. Can't wait to come back next year! If you like fresh, great tasting food & friendly service don't hesitate to go!

Here on business regularly, glad to see new place near hotel. Tried after yelp reviews, glad I did! Joel the owner stopped at table, had Brisket on his recommendation, good smoke, tender, excellent. Tangy Gold bbq sauce a must try. Baked beans sweet how I like them, smoky and molasses flavor. Coleslaw tasted like had some honey mustard in it, nice twist. Will definitely be back to try other entrees. Try this place and help out a local owner! You wont be disappointed.

I have been wanting to stop by, a friend talked about good food at a great price and we have basically nothing in the area. I sat at the bar. Nice bartender, he gave several suggestions. Great happy hour pricing, two for ones. I ordered the French onion soup. Pretty good. I ordered the tacos since I had seen recommendations on Yelp for them. Not a fan. They were dry for my taste. However I love the slaw concept in them. They just needed more a ju. The Chef came out to talk to me which I truly appreciated. They offered to get me something else, wanting to make sure I had a good experience. I will definitely go back, just try something different. Great staff and team. All the guests seemed happy.

I've been visiting the Omni at Championsgate for the past 8-10 yrs but was always disappointed in the dining options nearby. Not any more! Do yourself s favor and visit Ovations. The ribs were incredible and the service was top notch. Joel is a super nice guy and knows how to smoke some meat. Enjoy!

An (unexpected) joy! Great barbecue, friendly, attentive service and excellent cocktails with 80s music in the background in, of all places, Davenport, FL! Stopped in for lunch en route to Lakeland and will certainly return to this friendly, family run establishment.

The food is ALWAYS good. We visit about once a month and are never disappointed! Joel, the manager/owner always comes out to greet the customers and is quite congenial. Last night I had the filet mignon & and it was the best I have ever had, as far as cooked perfectly.

I tried the beef brisket on "Wine Wednesday" with a co- worker. The service was great, as we sat at the bar. We ordered a house Merlot, which was fine. the bottle was free with two entrees! My co- worker got the salmon and she said it was great. I have never gotten a bad meals here and the brisket was not disappointing!

This place is absolutely fantastic. We spotted this place on Yelp! While on vacation nearby. We had a party of 9 including kiddos. Every order came out perfect and our even our pickiest youngest eater asked for seconds. Byron the chicken sandwiches to the salmon, all was great. Fernando the co-owner seated us and checked on us twice; along with our server Kevin. 6 stars!!!!!

Went here for a late night dinner. We got chicken wings in mild as an appetizer. The wings were hot and fresh, and had a great flavor. The sauce was more of a dry rub. For my meal I got traditional burger and sweet potato fries. Both were delicious. The meat was quality. Service was a little slow due to staff call offs, but the manager came over and explained. He seems to care about his customers. Good place for dinner.

Awesome new place in town! Great remodel from the previous owners as well! Food selection was great with many options for all. Prices were a tad high for the area, however the quality and taste make up for it. Tried the tacos and WOW! What a mixture of taste and deliciousness! Highly recommend! Wife had the burger, no complaints, burger is a burger. Fries were good, not over greasy. Place is a keeper for the area. Owner made a stop at the table and was very friendly. Only negative is it feels cramped, too many tables in such a small area.

This area was in dire need of a great restaurant, bonus points that this is independently owned. The decor is nice enough, the staff is friendly but the food is awesome. The shrimp appetizer was light and fresh, as it should be, with a zesty dipping sauce. The French onion soup was one of the best I have had and the Buffalo chicken sandwich with the creative take on a baked mac and cheese was delicious. I recommend this, above any other restaurant in the area.

Nice place, great service, and great food. They have a nice selection of beer and a full bar. Great burgers and tasty desserts. This place is a hidden gem in a pile of rocks!

I was recently in Orlando for the Microsoft Worldwide Partner Conference and stayed in Davenport while there. Our first night in town a coworker did a quick yelp search and found Ovation Bistro & Bar so we decided we'd check it out. Our group was comprised of people who live in San Francisco, New York, Chicago, Houston and Tampa. Every single one of us absolutely loved Ovation. The food was great and the service was even better. In fact, we loved it so much that we tried to come back a couple nights later but unfortunately they had already closed for the evening. So we decided to come back the following night! This is the sort of place that every local should check out and frequent. Supporting these types of locally owned businesses is the way forward. The crappy, national fast food joints don't care about their customers or community. It's easy to tell that this place does and I hope the rest of Davenport will support them!

Makes me happy to find a locally owned restaurant with friendly service and delicious food! Drink specials were an awesome deal and my whole family left happy. We are from out of town but this is a perfect place for us to stop while traveling on I-4. We will be back!

Yelp...you didn't let us down! My son (19) and I were in the Orlando area for a few days to do some fishing. With only 2 nights to seek out a great meal, we turned to Yelp and found this gem! I love a place that has several menu items that jump off the page and make it difficult to choose. After speaking with owner/chef Joel, who made us feel like we were regulars by the way, we had a plan. I would get full rack of baby back ribs and my son the spicy fettuccine seafood pasta and we would do some good old fashioned sharing. I have been to a lot of places and tried a lot of ribs and these were, by far, the very best. Smoked to perfection, meat falling off the bone, homemade BBQ sauce with just the right amount of tang. Frankly....I started to rethink that sharing idea! The seafood pasta was no second fiddle. Cooked to perfection, ample seafood including sweet scallops and spiced just right. I understand it is a relatively new restaurant, but my advice is to experience it soon...before word gets out completely. In an area with many mediocre offerings, this place really stands out. Enjoy!

Such a relief to find a non chain restaurant in this area. Refreshing to walk in and get great customer service from everyone! The bartender Rachel was on top of everything we never had to ask for anything, drinks refilled and food came out on time. The atmosphere that comes through here is on one that they truly appreciate your business and are glad you are there! I'm making this a regular stop!

My wife and I stopped in for lunch here, and couldn't have chosen better! We love independent eateries when we travel, so we can find unique flavours to experience. We chose a salad each (Artisan w Chicken and BBQ Ranch Chicken), and the freshness of not only the veg, but the chicken was evident! You could taste the grill!! Lunch specials included a soft drink for $10! It was a very large portion and we walked away happy and stuffed!! A real winner!

This place had pretty good food, not great, but good. I recommended the buffalo chicken sandwich. I called ahead to see if they made burgers and shakes. Which they said they did. The Milk shake tasted like chocolate milk put in a blender with ice,at which I don't recommend. I would try this place again maybe for lunch next time. Also the sign out front said appetizer's half price, when we sat down waitress informed that special was for those sitting at the bar.

This place is super cute, the staff was friendly and the food was solid. We are from nearby and constantly in search of quality restaurants, this is a HUGE win. We will be back! I really appreciate that they donate for each of their signature meals too. I have to add, the food presentation is pretty cool too.

This was our third time to eat here in as many weeks. We're local residents and I wanted a few visits under my belt before I wrote a review. It's so nice to have a restaurant that's not just the regular chain. The menu is not overly extensive but has a very nice variety to satisfy everyone in your group. This place has the makings of becoming one of our special eateries. I've had the Salmon entree, the Beef Brisket entree and today, for lunch, I had the Burger with the pulled pork and onion ring toppings. My side was sweet potato fries. My wife had the Beef Brisket with sides of green beans and 3-cheese broccoli. Wow. Such really good food and service to match. (Shout out to Sidney, she's served us twice now!). The other night my salmon was perfectly cooked as were the green beans. The Beef Brisket was nice and moist, yet the outside char was so tasty. One night's visit was "Wine Wednesdays" where we got a bottle of wine with our meal when we ordered 2 entrees and appetizer. The restaurant has a warm, cozy atmosphere with comfortable booths and chairs and the bathrooms were very clean. Joel and Fernando, brothers who run the place, have both come by at different times to introduce themselves.

I stopped by this new spot for lunch recently when I was staying nearby for work. The deco is new, crisp and inviting. I was in during the middle of the afternoon, so I received excellent service. However, the server and owner seemed genuinely concerned about my order and what I thought about the place. Their cordial manner and friendliness would encourage me to return. The food was outstanding! I had the grilled salmon which was grilled perfectly in the wood fired oven, a large side of broccoli and a side salad that was fresh and delicious. It was a very good meal for the price. I would highly recommend placing Ovation in your dinning rotation when you're in the area.

These reviews were spot on... Awesome Food, Awesome Service, and Very Clean!!! We brought our 5 year old to lunch and she had a Children's meal hot dog, we had the slider sample and creamy potato soup... Also had lobster mac -n-cheese!!! Yum oh and used a Groupon for $12 for $20 which covered both our lunches!!!! Ask for Carly she's super Sweet!

My wife and I ate here tonight and were very pleased with the service, food and new decor in this restaurant. Very friendly and attentive wait staff and reasonable pricing. I had the chicken and my wife had tilapia where were cooked perfectly. Congratulations to the new owner and wish you lots of luck! I would recommend this restaurant.

Finally, a restaurant with potential in the area. Ovation is new to town, and while they have a few kinks to work out it seems very promising. The food we had tonight was good. Nothing fantastic, but I give it a solid "good". The restaurant is small and I feel they have too many tables squeezed in, it was a maze for the poor waitstaff to weave. Service was great, Samantha was our server and she was knowledgeable and sweet. The owner came to the table to welcome us. I think Ovation will continue to get better. I'd recommend some sort of weekly menu happy hour items. Also, to lower wine prices, expensive for the quality of brands they are serving. Beer menu is great.

Very good food! The staff is extremely friendly and the owner greets everyone that comes in with a friendly handshake. Davenport has been in need of a unique quality restaurant and bar for quite some time, and Ovation is the place. They have a great selection of beers as well. I had the Fully Loaded Burger and it was perfect! I also recommend getting the BBQ Nachos as well, they had beef brisket on them! Ovation donates a meal for every signature dish purchased.

We've not had many awesome places around this area. Ovation bistro and bar is phenomenal! Very fresh and original for this area!! A breath of fresh air! Will most definitely be coming back for the fish tacos! Awesome happy hour! Service was very friendly!! Really great product!

I was excited to try a new restaurant since this area doesn't have much more to offer beyond Denny's and McDonald's. The atmosphere is very nice, the service good, but the food I experienced doesn't have me planning my next visit. The Caesar salad was quite tasty, but the Imperial Talapia was bland and the mac and cheese just had a foul taste to it. I will come back, but I'll try some of the Yelp crowd favorites next time.

Whether you are a family looking for a good place to dine or a business professional in need of real food(meeting snacks only do so much), ovation bistro is the place. Great beer, full bar, food like a five star michelin restaurant. And its all for a great price! My two year old loves the pulled pork, add sauce as you like, not smothered by the kitchen, my wife and i love the steaks, but the seasonal menu, flat out amazing! Best food in the area.

Awesome food, fantastic service, and reasonable prices!! Onion rings were wonderful - light and crisp with a tasty sauce - and the beef tacos had a superb flavor. Our attentive server gave great recommendations and was patient with out squirrelly 8yo. This is THE place for a relaxed terrific meal!!

Local Restaurant was Outstanding!! Excellent quality food, cooked perfectly and delicious. Hamburger was flavorful and perfectly done. Brisket was tender and juicy. Baby back ribs were falling off the bone. Great service. I was worried when we first arrived because it is a new restaurant in a location where other restaurants have failed, I was very happily surprised and highly recommend to anyone to give Ovation Bistro & Bar a try.

The family and I went for a late dinner on a weekday and it was a hit :) You can tell the place is new, but there were a few tables with people eating dinner or having drinks. The place is clean, which is a big plus for me, and the menu is simple. The drinks menu has many choices for the wine aficionado, beer drinker, or cocktail sippers. A simple or to-the-point menu is a good indicator for me and this place had it. The menu included steaks, fish and a good number of sandwiches. The food is fresh and cooked well. One of us got a steak and it was cooked exactly as ordered. The woodfire grilled chicken was delicious and had the right hint of smoke, and huzzah! a place that actually serves broccoli or green beans that isn't a gross, overcooked yellow. The prices were a teensier higher than expected, but I think the fresh ingredients speaks to that. The staff were all kind and attentive, as well. All in all, a great place for dinner any day of the night or occasion. I hesitate to give it a full five stars until I've eaten there again.

Great little place with a lot of good things going. The waitress was friendly and very knowledgable on the menu and the beer selection, and her service was above average - right there to refill drinks, take orders, etc. The food was fabulous - cooked right and very tasty! And the prices were very easy on the wallet. The owner came out to ask us about our meal and thank us for our business. Overall, an excellent experience and i'll definitely go back!

We brought a large group to Ovation this past Tuesday evening. Everything from phone reservations (several calls/changes), to table service, to food was phenomenal. Everyone...young and old enjoyed their appetizers and meals. Thank you, Ovation, and we wish you continued success!

Some of the most friendly staff I've experienced in a long time! Of course, that wouldn't be enough if the food wasn't good, thankfully it absolutely did not disappoint. Some of the best brisket I've had in ages - everything was well prepared, incredibly flavorful, and delicious. Especially for the area, which is really lacking in high quality food establishments, Ovation was an absolute stand out and it only took one visit to make me decide to become a very consistent regular.

I was in Orlando on business and met a friend at Ovation for dinner. It doesn't look like much from the outside, but inside it is decorated nicely. Our waitress (Carrie I think) was excellent and very attentive. The food is very upscale and they have a nice selection of appetizers and entrees. My friend lives near Tampa and she said she would drive back (an hour drive) for the tilapia, it was that good. Mine was excellent as well, cooked to perfection and seasoned well. The owner walked around and asked how everything was but didn't hover. We were the first ones there, but the place filled up pretty quickly. Everyone seemed to be enjoying their meals. Dessert looked good, but we didn't get one. I would definitely go back if I'm in the area again.

Outstanding service and delicious food. Only complaint is portion size on the wings but everything else is tremendous. Very friendly and incredible food

Arrived at Ovation shortly after 6pm and they were busy, so we sat at the bar. The bartender was friendly and very efficient. We never would have guessed that she was "new girl." We decided to order just appetizers as our meals, Wings, onion rings and bbq chicken nachos. The wing options were smoked or fried. We ordered fried but naked, they normally bread them but did them naked for us. They appeared to have been dry rubbed with spices and then fried. They were great, perfectly cooked and perfectly spiced. They should add them this way to the menu for sure! The onion rings were plentiful for 2 people. The bbq chicken nachos were unusual in that they are made with their homemade kettle chips instead of tortilla chips, but they also were good. The only complaint as said in many reviews is that the prices are a little high for what you get. $10 for 8 wings. The bbq chicken nachos appeared to be plentiful but after eating the top chips with the toppings on them, you were left with a good sized portion of chips with no toppings and not even toppings to scrape off the plate. An additional ounce or two of cheese and bbq sauce would have been better. The overall price wasn't bad, $35 for 3 appetizers and a couple beers, plus tip.

My husband and I decided to try the new restaurant that replaced the previous bar that was there. We enjoyed the atmosphere (except for the bright house chandeliers). We had a really good server, Christy and we appreciated her attention that our table. We did have two dirty glasses, but she took care of the issue right away. We ordered the Slider Sampler appetizer, Beef Brisket and the Salmon entrees. Both were really yummy; especially the salmon. Proxies were actually pretty good; Beef $13.5, Salmon $13.5 and sliders $8. They have happy hour on their drafts, cocktails and house wines- 2-4-1! Overall, we will be going back to try more of their menu.

I need 10 STARS for this amazing place! Bryan, our nice , knowledgeable, confident server made great recommendations. Very accomodating to my foodie madness. And when I asked for medium rare salmon, well, I got PERFECTION. My husband's Ovation chicken made me almost cry over its slam dunk combo of flavors.. Burgundy mushrooms married with maplewood bacon & cheese.. Oh yeah & the chicken breast on the bottom of all that crazy fun yum.. Healthy flavorful yet simply prepared green beans, I had the sweet potato fries drizzled with fresh honey! Hubby the pankoed mac n cheese (i LOVE my too small sample of his).. And we hardly ever order desserts but i just didn't want to leave this culinary oasis.. Salted Caramel cheesecake and 2 forks.. Oh my!! It was ALL PERFECT! And last thing i need to mention (should be up front) is read the entire front & back drink menu so you don't miss the specialty drinks.. I almost did but the can of unopened beer could go back when I discovered the Blackberry Agave Marg.. Yikes, that was our first indication of what was coming..

We decided to go to Ovation for a family members birthday dinner, as it's right down the road and has great reviews. Everyone in our party thoroughly enjoyed their meals. Steaks we're cooked perfectly!! Our server was very friendly as well. We will definitely be back!

Highly recommended: Stopped in for lunch with five friends and received friendly yet professional service, which was the perfect supplement to the tasty food. Everyone raved about their various dishes (potato soup, chicken dip, sirloin, tilapia, etc.). You're looking at a $15 price point (w/ drink), and it was certainly worth that. Huge thank you to Joel (owner) and staff for a lovely experience. We've already discussed plans for our next trip back!

Great to see extended happy hour! Love it! We had the ribs and tacos, both were great. We come by this area and in the past visited chain restaurants (bc that is all that was here), great to see a family owned place in this area and food was great!

Went there with my girl last Eve , it was our first time there since it opened and we were very satisfied , the food was made to order and it was fresh . I had the ribs and they were made just the way I like moist on the inside and crispy on the outside with the right amount of sauce. She had the lobster tacos and they were very tasty . Bartender Carrie was very attentive and Joel came by and asked us if every thing was good . Beer was at a good price I would definitely recommend !

The food and the service were EXCELLENT! We really enjoyed the Mac n cheese and the fish tacos. It is very hard to find great Mac n cheese, but this place has it down. Next time we will try the smoked wings. We heard they were great.

Horrible service. I was just there with my family waited 20 minutes and no one even acknowledge us we stood up and left and no one even tried to stop us. If you cant even come to the table to greet your customers then you dont deserve a second chance. Such a shame I had high hopes for this place being that there are hardly any places to eat on 27.

This place was yummy & we enjoyed taking our dog here to sit on the patio. The only reason it did not get 5 stars was because it was a little overpriced for the small portion sizes. I ordered a double side of fries and got about half of what one order would be in other places.

Stopped for lunch on a visit to FL. We are dog folks (not with us this trip) and loved the dog friendly extras; dishes, water, food and walking area. Salad was fresh and delicious. My husbands burger was great with homemade kettle chips. Two for one domestic beers was a nice surprise :) Our waitress was over the top nice and attentive! It'll be a must stop for us.

I was so happy to find this place while staying in Florida..the food we had was great, which was the full rack of ribs. Fell off the bones! The sides were great too..had the Mac and cheese, baked beans, and green beans. All of it was very good. There was a few hiccups with service bringing out a wrong side item and forgot one of our house salads, but once we told them they were very prompt in correcting. Also their cocktails were really good as well! Highly recommend! Will be back!

I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS RESTAURANT...We called in an order for a sandwich for pick up. When we got there it wasn't ready. We waited a long time and they were not busy. Then they charged us for a dinner rather than a sandwich. When questioned about the price the owner became so annoyed with us he proceeded to scream at me to get out of his restaurant. Rather than do the right thing he acted like we were wrong. So if this is the kind of verbal abuse, overcharging and no customer satisfaction this would be your place.
