Visited for the first time for some late breakfast/brunch. The staff was great and my eggs and home fries were just fine. I would have come back to check the rest of the menu another day but I asked for my check and got sticker shock! Three eggs, scrambled, an order of home fries, a soda and a glass of water ... $12.50 plus tip. Most of the good breakfast joints around here give you the same quality items for $6-8 bucks. I'm not a cheapskate but I refuse to pay double for such a simple meal.

Food was so so. Nothing special. Our server was having a bad day and me ordering three side dishes instead of a meal (which amounted to more than a single entree so not sure what the problem was) somehow annoyed our server. We noticed other tables around us were puzzled by her too... Restaurant was clean and comfortable. Tucked away in a little strip center. Reminded me of a little Midwest diner. It was so so, not sure that we'll be back

Visiting Hollywood on a Sunday morning, our search for mid-morning breakfast options nearby was not being successful. Every place we found seemed to be closed Sundays. Since we were headed back to Ft. Lauderdale, we expanded our search and found Robert's was on our route back, and had a pretty good reputation. Being in the touristy areas, we also were happy to find a place with regular (free) parking. When we got there we sat straight down, but it was definitely getting busy (looked like a small wait by the time we left). Started with coffees all around, steaming hot, and relatively smooth. I would have preferred a larger cup. It might have helped the wait staff keep up. Though I found the two ladies we worked with were just fine, and what I'd expect from a busy diner. Clearly the place was full of regulars, but we still received friendly service and smiles from Mary. Being in Texas, Nova (lox) aren't as commonly ordered as they seemingly are here, with the connection between this part of the country and the Northeast. Since I could get pancakes and eggs back home, me and my dining partner went with the Nova Platter that we had seen served to the adjacent table, served with a bagel, cream cheese, capers, a couple slices of perfectly ripe large tomato, red onion, bell pepper, and cucumber, on a bed of lettuce. It allowed us to craft our own bites, and made it easier to regulate how much of the carby bagel I had. Our third ordered the "2x4" plate (2 each of pancakes, bacon, sausage, and eggs any style), whose only weak spot was bacon that was a bit more tough than crispy. My initial thought was that the prices could have been a little cheaper, but then I remembered that our choice of coffee, tea, or soda was included with our entrees. So, as long as you're not a water-only drinker, it's really not that bad. And my lightly-brined smoked salmon was quite tasty and took care of breakfast and lunch for me. Nothing mind-blowing here, but clearly a local fave with consistent service. 3.65 stars

My favorite place for comfort food. Fantastic service. Busy on Sundays, come early! It is a local's secret dining experience for twenty two years. I love Robert's!

I really had a great experience at this diner! We were looking for a place to have breakfast and this place popped up on my Yelp app. When we walked in we were seated immediately, despite this place being packed. Our waitress, I wish I could remember her name, was sweet as pie! She took good care of my nieces and nephews. We all ordered a different array of things and everyone loved their food. I got scrambled eggs, turkey sausages, home fries (well done) and toast. It was a good portion and tasted great. The prices are a little higher than IHOP and d Denny's but the quality and cleanliness of Robert's is so much better. I would definitely come here again.

Roberts Restaurant is exactly what a diner restaurant should be. It has really good food, large portions, and great friendly, loaded with humor, service. I had their steak, eggs and grits. All really good. The steak especially surprised me as they had taken the time to do a very nice garlic rub on it; hence full in flavor and being something most diner restaurants won't spend the extra time in doing. My server, Mary, turned out to be the epitome of what a diner waitress should be. She knew the menu inside and out, was quick about everything as well as full of good humor and wit. The restaurant is open 364 days a year, having only missed out during Hurricane Wilma. They had opened that day, but when the roof began to leak and give way, closed. The restaurant suffered a lot of damage but was soon remodeled, but though having been so recently remodeled still looks somewhat dated in appearance, especially with a 20 something year big boxy looking old Sharp television hanging from the wall. The crowd here is mostly area locals as well as being dyed in the wool faithful patrons. The menu is very much diner, exactly as one would expect, but in addition to the menu is a board listing of daily specials.

Everything about this place is great. The service was awesome, great ambiance. Its a super cute small local spot. The cornbread is A-AMAZING!! I had their cabbage and corned beef. It was great. They put a potatoes in the side. (Peeled) It hit the spot. Exactly what I wanted. Great spot. If im ever in the area will definitely return.

We stopped by on our way to FLL airport. It's a good local place but we didn't think it was anything special. Food was good but not amazing. We had the vegetarian omelet and a fried egg sandwich. Place was packed/busy and when we walked in there was no one greeting so we were standing around for 5 minutes awkwardly in the middle of people eating. It would have been helpful for someone to let us know we will be right with you or something.

This place is very clean and has a jewish deli type vibe. I thought the eggs were good along with the biscuits. The home fries were a bit dry. The cakes looked really good and we were thinking about ordering some but then they told me Sara Leigh sends them and they defrost the cakes. Because I'm used to places like lesters and Peter pans, it was a bit disappointing. The bagels and breads are also out sourced. The main problem with this place is the prices. An omelette with cheese is over 10 dollars. I tried to get a veggie omelette and take out two of the ingredients and replace it with cheese so I wasn't paying an exorbitant amount of money for an omelette, but they refused which didn't make much sense. They ended up forgetting my cheese in the omelette and just scrambled the cheese in so it was more of a scrambler. It was still good. Overall this place isn't worth the price.

Pretty good breakfast/brunch spot..I would rate it 3.5 stars so rounded up it makes 4..I went with my mother and sister, they both enjoyed their meals- they had a Philly cheesesteak and a chicken parmigiano special meal..my sister said her fries and chicken was a little bland..needed salt and ketchup to make it better. I went for the breakfast custom omelette and that was pretty good..I would probably recommend some family to come here to be different from Dennys and IHOP..

I've had Robert's bookmarked forever since it's close to the house and looked like a great cheap breakfast spot. Problem is, I already have a cheap (and good) breakfast spot that is close to the house so I've never really found the initiative to check out Robert's...until now. My parents were in town and flying out and I suggested we try Robert's for a quick breakfast - as it was, we were in and out in about 40mins at 9am on a Saturday...not bad. I was honestly expecting a slightly grimy diner feel but the restaurant itself was pretty nice - clean, bright and not at all unwelcoming. Tables are a little bit jammed together but not in an overly uncomfortable way. We each ordered different things - eggs benedict (skip this, I hate that cheap hollandaise sauce places like this serve), 2 eggs - 2 pancakes - 2 bacon - 2 sausage combo, pancakes with a side of strawberries and nuts, and the nova with eggs. The food itself was good. 3 stars probably with the price being the major draw. The service however was 5 stars. It looked like only 2 servers were taking care of the place (which was pretty packed) and they handled it like superstars. Glasses refilled, checked on multiple times, order taken quickly...it was very impressive how our server handled it all! Will I be back? Probably...I usually only rate places 4 stars if I'm sure I'll be back. It's a close toss up though between Robert's and my usual place. Robert's wins for easier parking though!

Pretty impressed by this place I have to say. Came in for breakfast/brunch was after 11 so I asked for the lunch/dinner menu. The place was pretty crowded and not fancy at all. It is in a strip mall warehouse plaza and I do not think they have done anything to decorate but a simple can of paint. That being said now onto the food. The prices aren't as cheap as you would think. So it makes you wonder why the place would be as crowded as it is. Well, here you go our food came out and everything for a diner is pretty high quality. I ordered a chef salad that came with fresh turkey and a fresh baked corn bread. I tried a few of the breakfast items the potatoes are fresh and not frozen I go to try the hashbrowns and also the home fries both were really good. Also, the homemade biscuit was excellent. They do not come out hot because they bake them early but they do offer to toast them for you. Overall, I will be going back to this place.

What a very nice surprise! The restaurant is immaculate, friendly service, and prices right. I don't remember lately getting warm food - here you do. The menu had many great choices like fresh open face turkey daily, meat loaf, roasted chicken, delicious salads, and sandwiches. I understand breakfast is very good. They are open early for Breakfast and close at 9:00pm M-S and Sun. at 2:00. Give it a try!

Solid good breakfast Came here with my fam for a more casual breakfast before hitting the beach. This little spot was packed. The tables are all close and to walk through the back of the restaurant you have to zigzag your way through the seated customers. I guess that's why reviewers are saying its a NY style Diner. I got the 2 by 4 ; - 2 eggs, 2 bacon, 2 sausage and 2 pancakes. Very simple breakfast and it was cooked right , not greasy at all, and the pancakes were not to sweet just right. Other people at my table ordered the same thing. The French toast was a winner here, and the hash browns are crispy and perfect. The waitress was friendly and didn't rush us at all. It was a very nice experience. Affordable , quick breakfast , this is a true local diner and I'll prob be back again.

There's a presence of family hospitality at this diner, but prices are far too high for what they're serving. It must be due to their proximity to the airport and the lack of diners nearby, but what's the point in going if you're paying a restaurant price? Their breakfast combos do not even include a cup of coffee.

Local place located in a strip mall, not fancy, but clean. Lots of locals, very attentive and concerned waitstaff, so onto the food. My husband and I ate dinner here after carefully reading about 30 minutes Restaurants yelp reviews. We are business folks from out of town just looking for comfort food before or flight back home to Texas. My husband had the beautiful meatloaf which is better than mine, my sisters', my grandmas or anything I have had at a restaurant. Served with mashed potatoes , gravy and corn. I had the fantail shrimp, excellent with coleslaw and fries, all the food came hot from the kitchen and was comfort food at its best.

Amazing amazing amazing ! Great food great service portions were phenomenal. Must try to the homemade cornbread!! The biscuit was flaky and delicious. Chicken noodle soup was homemade and melted in your mouth. Fresh squeezed OJ. Huge delicious spinach feta omelette and chicken salad sandwich was enough to feed two. Must go if you're near FLL

Very goo good place, however they only have 2 high chairs so today we have to leave because both were in use and nobody give any solution and care about it. It is sad. We loved to come here and we used to do it often. I don't think we are coming back.

So this was the place I decided to go after using yelp for the first time. Roberts offers large portions at a very reasonable price. The food was good, and the menu seems to be American style. Good local feel in the restaurant. Wait staff was super friendly, and very attentive. My coffee cup was never empty. Tables and chairs are in great condition and the seats are comfortable. The only downside was the parking. Other than that, I know this is a restaurant I will come back to when I am in this area.

Third time here yesterday and I am still loving this little spot! It's for sure our go to place when we take or pick up someone from Fll. Everything I have tried has been delicious! Yesterday's meal was no exceptions. We had the Cuban sandwich, the Ruben sandwich, a French dip, and the turkey Ruben and a side of sweet potato French fries. Each sandwich was delicious with generous amounts of chips or fries!! Service is good, all the ladies are super sweet. It's a self seating diner so just grab a seat when u walk in!! We will return!!

In for breakfast on a Thursday at 9:30 am. Not busy but slow getting waited on due to server talking to her, I presume, regulars. I ordered the 2x4 (2 eggs, 2 pancakes, 2 sausage links,2 strips of bacon and coffee) $8.75.. Not being busy, this order took toooo long to come out and when I finally got it, it was almost cold. From past experience anywhere, if you send it back it takes a long time returning so, most of the time, I just eat it. The pancakes were tough and flat tasting, Will probably go back sometime hoping for better.

I have eaten here more than 300 times (no exaggeration!!) and the food and service are consistently good. Food is fresh and homemade. They roast turkeys every morning for sandwiches and they are fantastic. Love the breakfast items too. It's a true hole in the wall with surprisingly great food.

Busy Saturday morning, walked in and found a table right away. Mom and Pop type of diner. Good breakfast, you can't beat ordering the French Toast Club (2 slices, 2 eggs, 2 bacon links, and 2 sausage links)! Good service.

I recently stayed in Hollywood, FL and needed an alternative to the breakfast place that was in our hotel. I came across Roberts Restaurant on yelp and was sold on the reviews of the cornbread. We decided to take a drive there. We loved this place so much that we went back for the next 3 days. The staff were all so friendly. Mary and Frances took care of us and they were both sweethearts. Deb was a riot and the rest of the ladies had personality for days. The portions left us wobbling out the door. Everything was delicious. We know where our breakfast spot is next time we stay in the area. Oh and yes the cornbread was amazing!

The best family restaurant around. Their breakfast are great including homemade cornbeef hash. I love the blueberry pancakes too. Lunches offer a wide assortment of standard dishes. They make a great chicken parmesan sub and cuban sandwich. They also opened for dinner a while ago and have good specials such as fantail shrimp and prime rib. They also have a 12 chicken wing special that is outstanding. Quick and friendly service staff take care of your every needs.

I love Robert's! Everything is just so yummy on their menu. Breakfast is better than any IHOP or Denny's. Everything is fresh. Best Belgium waffles and home fries I've ever had. All the waitresses are so pleasant and friendly. Another Robert's goodie is their cornbread! YUM! I have a list of favorites.

I feel the rating should me more like a three for the food but the service bumped it up to a four. Went on a busy late Sunday morning and though our waitress was super busy she always took time to check on us even after she dropped off the check (but not in that "get out" sort of way). The Eggs Benedict and the coffee were just ok. The plating of the food looked rushed and a little sloppy. However, I liked the fact they used country ham and the portion sizes were good. I also liked the fact they included your beverage in the price of the breakfast. They only have the Egg Benedict on the weekend the waitress told me when I was trying to makeup my mind between that special and the NY Strip and Eggs special. Next time I will try the Strip or french toast...the good thing is I feel like there will be a next time.

This place is like the last of the good diners. It's a great spot, simply done and good food and good service. They have specials on the board and on paper at your table. Prices are very good. I think I had a 2 scoop salad platter, it came with egg salad and chicken salad, there were tomatoes and cucumbers and some dressing....it was very fresh looking, bright and crisp veggies. It also had cole slaw and potato salad. A pretty decent portion of good stuff! I typically don't like either because they are either too wet or too mayo-y. This was all just right! Definitely will be back. Next time I want to try breakfast!

Good food, friendly staff. We both had breakfast and everything came out great. The only reason I don't give this restaurant another star is because it's pricey. Two omelets and coffee shouldn't cost over $25. At the end of the day they're just eggs, and I see nothing that can justify the extra cost.

Great diner food and especially friendly servers! Not only my server filled my coffee they all did and greeted me with nice cheery smiles on Easter. I ordered the eggs & lox with hash browns and an English muffin.... Then got a side if hollandaise OMG that was amazing! I made like a scrambled salmon hash brown Benedict on my plate and I was happy! Very tight space however they make it work, I didn't feel crowded or rushed even though this place was completely full.

We got lucky and got a seat immediately after walking in... The group behind, wasn't so lucky, they left as the place was packed out for Sunday breakfasts. The food, average, but much better than your traditional Ihop or Dennys.. The food came and was not as hot as I would have liked, but it was average. I like the fact that coffee is included in the price of most meals. That was a huge plus! Every plate we ordered was eaten up and nothing was left over. The portions were perfectly sized. Thanks guys for making our Sunday late breakfast a good one!

My family and I were staying at a hotel in the area and Yelp lead me to this little gem. From the moment we walked in the friendly staff greeted us and found us a table. To begin, the coffee was amazing and from there everything was perfect. I had 2 eggs, bacon, sausage and banana nut pancakes. The pancakes were amazing, not overly sweet and probably the best breakfast sausage ever! I will definitely come again!!! Oh and the best part, service is super fast, we were served so quickly I thought they were accidentally bringing us someone else's food! Loved this place :)

Came here for breakfast this morning with my boyfriend. As soon as we walked in, we were instantly greeted by every waitress with a warm welcome and were told to sit where ever we'd like. We chose to sit at the bar where we were taken care of by "France" who I believe also goes by "Frenchie". She immediately brought us menu's and 2 waters and took our drink order. I opted for their fresh squeezed OJ which was good. As we were looking over the menu, we noticed there were mostly regulars who all the waitresses knew by name. One regular sat by us at the bar and was even greeted by a waitress saying " welcome back home!". I immediately felt right at home, myself and already wanted to come back before I even placed my order. I decided on the steak and eggs. The steak was your typical NY strip steak and it came with 2 eggs and your choice of home fries, hash browns, grits and toast. I chose grits and they were the best I've had. Normally I have to slather butter and pour salt and pepper on my grits but not today! They were perfectly delicious on their own. The steak was a huge piece and I ended up taking most of it to go. My boyfriend got the western omelette with home fries. I tasted it and wished I ordered that. He said it was the best omelette he's ever had. We will definitely be back in for breakfast. Can't wait to try their lunch as well! UPDATE: just ordered a bacon egg and cheese on a plain bagel to go. When I walked in, the waitress from the previous morning remembered me and small talked with me while I cashed out. My to go order tasted just a good as it would if I ate in! This place definitely surprised me and deserves 5 stars in service as well as taste in food. I've never had such great service and seen such pleasant smiling faces from an ENTIRE staff before. This place has it all! I will be back many more times :)

I went to lunch with my mom the other day and was told there would be a $3.50 sharing charge! Expensive for what you get. Not being able to share is reason enough not to return. When I spoke to the manager she said she's getting a lot of complaints but it's what the owner wants!!! I'll pass on Roberts....not worth it!

I love family owned businesses. We came in and they seated us right away and we were able to order breakfast even though it was past 11AM. The server was taking our orders when she stopped midway to go grab food and bring it to another table. She came back and continue taking our orders only to proceed to tell us breakfast ended at 11AM when the manager clearly greeted is and told us they were still serving breakfast. We clarified this with our server and moved on. Food arrived relatively fast and the kids loved it. Overall, service could be a bit better and our server could work on her attitude.

So every time I come to FL to visit my uncle, I come to Roberts at least once for breakfast. My uncle is a regular here, so the customer service that I had experienced was always through the roof, which I honestly attributed to the fact that he's the man, and they love him. Which is probably true by the way. This morning, I ran out to Robert's to grab breakfast to go while my wife got ready. I went in and sat down at the counter, and in a span of less than five minutes was greeted by every single server. I absolutely felt like a regular, and when I looked around, I realized that one of the following was true: A) every single person in here is a regular and they've mistaken me for one as well OR B) this place exemplifies what true customer service is all about. And just to be thorough, the answer was obviously B. Not only was I taken complete care of, but they packed my to go order deliberately, and even put everything in a box to make it easier to carry. I've ordered way more food from way more pricier places, and didn't get that level of detail. That's when I realized - the staff at Roberts makes their food (both eat-in and to-go) exactly the way they would make it if they made it for themselves. Shocking concept I know! The food is the definition of classic American comfort food, executed perfectly. If you are looking for a great breakfast spot, or just need a reminder of the lost art of excellent customer service, visit the ladies at Roberts. They'll take really good care of you.

I'm sorry but their prices are a bit too high for a diner. Ordered 2egg whites, sausage, and toast with a small coffee and the total came to $15.75! I have a bakery I typically go to for the same order and am charged $8.50 total with tax. Figured I'd give this place a try but I'd rather buy the ingredients at my local grocery store (for the same price) and have a weeks worth of breakfasts. I feel ripped off. Go to moonlight diner, grandpas bakery, hell, even Denny's for that matter! U will get the same taste for better price. Disappointing

Open till 9 pm. We had the new York stip and the mahi . The tab was $25 and the dinners included homemade mashed potatoes & FRESH spinach. We just couldn't stop saying" this food is sooo good" The steak and fish were cooked perfectly. They really have a good cook.

the place is clean and busy. it is not fancy or gourmet but when you want a quick meal and do not want to spend a lot of $$$ this is a good place. I have been there 3 or 4 times and the servers are always friendly and there is plenty of parking. if you live or work in the area check them out.

Found this place on Yelp while looking for pancakes...well we came after breakfast was over so no pancakes :-( We decided to stay and weren't disappointed but also not blown away. Our waitress was excellent and the food (steak and eggs and an eggs with bacon plate) was good. Price was good and it was a generally fine meal. But nothing that would make me say, we definitely need to go back. And one thing I didn't really like was the restaurant's setup. Tables crammed together with no booths creates one large space for sounds to reverberate...I guess the locals don't mind and since demand requires a large number of tables, they decided to go with this setup - but a few less tables and some booths would make the noise level and general atmosphere more inviting in my opinion.

My husband and I have been coming for breakfast for many years. The food is high quality food. We know all the waitress. Mary has been our waitress for many years, but when she's not there Debbie Sue or Dawn serves us. Ely the head chef is great . Everything that he cooks tastes excellent. We enjoy coming for breakfast here.

Finally, a real diner! I found this restaurant through yelp and took a chance. I am SO glad I did! I had the best egg sandwich since living in New York. The staff was great and the food was delicious. The outside leaves you guessing, but in this case don't judge a book by it's cover. What a wonderful little diner. And they were packed! I guess the secret is out.

Went there for the 1st time today after reading all the great reviews. Sat at the breakfast bar and enjoyed watching all the action in the back - the line cooks are impressive! The menu is great, our service was great, thanks to Mary - an absolute delight! And most importantly, the food was terrific! I had the veggie omelet, which was packed full of fresh veggies. Everything coming out just looked absolutely awesome. Can't wait to go back!!

It's really good. Is the best breakfast place ever. No. But the food is typical B&L fare. I had an omelet that was great. The potatoes were good, not great. My daughters pancakes looked good too. Is this place a foofy gourmet brunch spot...nope. So don't expect atmosphere. But it is a solid, home cooking, breakfast and lunch. The service was very nice and attentive.

It's diner food. The lady at the adjacent table complained loudly "Ugh I don't like diner food" which was quite comical considering Roberts may be the definition of diner food. We got lucky with a nice waitress who let us order breakfast when it was just past 11 am. Oops for waking up so late, but at least we made it. I ordered the basic breakfast that came with pancakes, eggs, sausage, and bacon. The food was fine, but really basic. Almost something I feel I could have made at home. They had run out of homemade corned beef hash, so my bf had to settle for canned. Again, something I could have made out of the can as well. Service was fine, food was fine, but honestly nothing was so great that I would want to come back for.

Spinach feta omlette is a must! Our server was very kind. Our meet up group meets here every Wednesday at 7am for business chats.

I have been coming here for years. The food is always good and the staff is great. One of those restaurants where they know your name and remember your preferences. I love this place for lunch. Great atmosphere.

Had an egg sandwich and it really was amazing for something so simple. They were generous with the bacon and the bread was perfectly toasted. I'd go back just for that. My one complaint was that it was served with potato chips on the side at 7am. There needs to be a better side option for breakfast.

Great comfort food! The service was very good felt right at home. Breakfast or lunch this place can't miss.

A hidden gem! Right around the corner & we'd never noticed it. Again, it was that 'comfort food' search that brought it to my attention. We showed up for brunch one Sunday & it was packed, but quick. It smelled so good in this little diner-styled restaurant. The menu & specials had us undecided. We went for breakfast, had their homemade biscuits, laughed it up with the servers & vowed to be back soon for lunch! We got sucked in to brunch again, but we will do lunch! ;) Definitely worth a visit & a short (trust me) wait...

Food was great, awesome diner food. I had homemade hash with eggs and home fries. I ate everything. Its cheap as well. Parking is not a problem. Service was great too. The only issue was it was a little dirty. The table was set and we sat n the utensils were not cleaned. Its a little out dated...but home cooking makes up for it.

Fail! Waited over 10 minutes to get seating for 6. Was ignored from the time we walked in the door. Some one finally asked how many in our party and then just walked away. Some groups of two then just proceeded to seat themselves in front of us. No floor management. We gave up and went to Moonlite diner for a much better experience. Sorry Roberts, won't be coming back.

I heard about this from several friends so I decided to try it. We drove over from Pembroke Pines. Typical old school diner. The coffee was great and so was the western omelet. The blueberry pancakes were ok. A great stop before the beach!

I really had a great experience here. Its a mom and pop breakfast and lunch joint. You seat yourself, the servers are friendly, the customers are all locals, and the menu is straight forward. The food was all fresh. I ordered the two scoop platter and it came with heaping scoops of tuna salad, potato salad, cole slaw, and egg salad. All the right consistencies and not too much mayo. On the platter was also a hard boiled egg, tomatoes, cucumbers, and bread on the side. Basically a lot of food, and I ate it all. They have a specials board as well! I'm really happy I stumbled upon this place. It's in a weird plaza but I will be definitely be coming back.

Best breakfast and service in town. It makes me feel like I'm at a small town diner back home. I have gone 3 times and all 3 times evened at the table was very happy with their breakfasts. Always full but never waited for a table!

Good ol home town feel. I was born and raised in a small town in Pennsylvania and this takes me back to childhood memories and not to mention that the food is great. Love coming to get home cooked felt meal.

Such a wonderful surprise! We were looking for a place to stop and chill for a bit after a long flight from the west coast before heading down to the Keys. This popped up on google maps with a 4.7 rating and sounded simple and easy. This place is exactly what they advertise (simple food in a simple setting) but with one caveat: the food is fantastic. I had the grilled foot long hot dog with chopped onions and substituted onion rings instead of French fries. We also ordered corn bread, a spicy black bean burger with BBQ sauce, and a Greek salad. Everything was delicious! Even the iced tea was high quality. Listen, I never write reviews but I felt an immediate need to notify anyone and everyone of the great experience at this unsuspecting little restaurant. If I am ever in Fort Lauderdale again, I will be making a detour for lunch.

Came in for lunch with coworkers. Seems to be a local hotspot for anyone who works in the area. The service was friendly and the servers seem to know all of the regulars by name (and by what they order, which is impressive). Food was pretty good overall (I had the Cuban sandwich), though a bit bland. I found myself using salt and pepper which I normally don't do. It can get very busy around lunch, so keep that in mind depending on when you come.

Pretty decent breakfast in a fairly convenient location! I won't give it 5 stars, but I'll give it a solid 4... Rolled in here around 9am on a weekday, and it was surprisingly busy. However, we got a seat right away and a waitress came over pretty quickly. Our drinks were a bit slow to come, but she apologized profusely for that. Neither of us had terribly inventive breakfasts - things like french toast, eggs, bacon, and grits. It was all pretty solid except for the bacon, which tasted OK, but looked kinda funny and was way too crispy for my tastes (but, that's personal tastes). The food itself came out quickly, was priced fairly, and was filling. Definitely a nice little place to stop by, and I would come back if in the area.

Driving down this particular part of town slowly, we had a hard time finding anything but fast food . I saw the their sign in the corner of my eye and told everyone that this is the one with immediate resistance. The outside looks like a shopping center and there were no curtains. But I was ready to give them a shot, I love discovering these hole in the wall places that provide great food! As soon as the cornbread came out I knew I hit the jackpot. Perfectly fluffy and light, definitely home made. We had burgers , fried tilapia and a turkey dinner with spinach and everything was excellent. Price is right in the middle, not cheap but reasonable, especially for the amount of food we received

Every time I am I town we go to Robert's for lunch. It is the best around by far for a diner type place. The Italian sub (grilled and smashed like a panini) is awesome. Breakfast is delicious! I have NEVER gotten anything I did not like. The waitstaff is super friendly and courteous even tho they are SUPER busy. I can't wait to try it for dinner on my next trip down.

Came in super excited because I heard so many great things! Food was average and the service was slow. I'll try again because it was close, but there are far better places in the area!

Typical diner fare and friendly staff. Stopped by here on my way up to Sanibel and the food was fresh, filling and tasty. I also loved the server we had, a bit out of the way but would definitely come here again for another spinach and feta omelet with rye toast!

We dropped in early one morning after dropping off someone at nearby Fort Lauderdale Airport and finding that Grandpa doesn't wake up to open Grandpa's Bakery for a few hours more. The food was excellent. The service was professional but a bit curt for us non "locals." They had some problem with their credit card machine which they announced after we were already served. They say it happens a bit. Perhaps they should get an iPhone with a cube card reader as a backup if it's that hinkey of a phone line.

I live in the area and pass by the place almost every day. A few of my coworkers even told me about it so I decided to check it out. I'm on the breakfast /brunch kick right now so went during breakfast and the place was packed. Reminded me of an old neighborhood favorite to have good food and catch up with friends. Now to the food :) well if you like good old fashion diner food, that's what you get. Prices are mid range, but you get a lot for your money. Roberts has now become my Saturday morning breakfast stop. Been looking for a neighborhood hangout and I think I've found it

We had a reasonably good breakfast at Robert's. The food was good and the portions were large. My wife daughter and I split an omelette and the sides and came away full. Prices were reasonable.too. The only real complaint we had was that one of our daughters cannot have milk or milk products (which makes eating out difficult anyway) and the restaurant was unable to provide ingredients for some of the cooking oils, etc. that they use. The waitress was nice and found out what she could, but it definitely made finding something for my daughter a challenge.

This is a "locals" place. Great find thanks to Yelp! Fast, very friendly service. I think we were the only people the waitresses didn't know and great by first name. The food is hot and very good. If you are looking for breakfast in Ft. Lauderdale/Dania, this is the place.

Came here for a quick breakfast on our way down to Miami. I ordered the sausage biscuits and gravy and holy moly the portion was HUGE!!! It came with two giant biscuits, swimming in gravy. The only thing I think I might have liked more of was more sausage in the gravy. :)

After waiting more than 30 minutes to get our food...and with the waitress no where to be found, I went up to the front area / cash register and asked about the status of our food. I told her there were people that came after us who were served food and almost done with their meals...yet, we didn't get our food. First she said sometimes orders just take longer, but when she actually checked our food was sitting on the window. When it finally came ot our table both meals were dried out...I suspect it had been sitting there under a heat lamp for a while. I am giving it 2 stars because once we found a manager she said she had just arrived and could tell things were not running correctly. She apologized and offered to void our bill, so giving them an extra star for the manager's efforts to resolve the problem. Don't think we'll be back

About a mile and a half from Ft. Lauderdale Airport. We had some time to kill so we came here at 6:30am. Had breakfast and hung out until our shuttle came to pick us up. Service was standard (good). Food was good and the price was very reasonable. If I lived around there I'd go there regularly. Check out the pictures I uploaded.

Nice place. Came here for breakfast and it was pretty good. It was a Friday morning around 9, so not super busy at all. I thought it was a little pricey for what it was, but the portions were pretty big.

Very nice place. Great service, food and price. I believe they could update the decor, but that is a minor complaint. They have everything that a restaurant has to do well.

  • Tim C.

I have not had breakfast here yet, but their dinner is awesome. Great comfort food, and unlike most diners, there are healthy options as well. Salmon, Mahi, Grouper. I had the pork chops and applesauce. For an extra $3.95 you can "value" your meal which gives you a drink, soup or salad, choice of bread (the cornbread is great!), and dessert. All the sides are fresh, not out of a can. You can even see that they cut the whole carrots themselves. You won't leave hungry either, the portions are HUGE! I challenge anyone to find a better meal then you will find at Roberts for under 15 bucks for all of that! Highly recommend.

Over easy eggs were perfect. Buttered biscuit, yummy. Corn beef hash was good. All food was really good. Service spot on too. Only negative should have asked for crispy hashbrowns. But otherwise thumbs up all around!!

I'm demanding on breakfasts and, so far, this place is definitely the best around Fort Lauderdale. I agree with others that it is very clean (no greasy spoons here). The price is right (they have that huge combo for $7.95 with eggs, pancakes, links, bacon and coffee!), the waitress was professional and also funny, the coffee was good and our eggs seemed cooked healthily, the potatos were good, etc. Just the right breakfast place for the typical experience without the attitude and the greasy flatware. The only downside might be the lack of a patio, but who cares when it's that good.

What a great find! Roberts features delicious food as good as you can prepare at home, and cheerful wait staff. My wife and I ate there last night. I had homemade beef-a-roni and my wife had london broil. The corn bread and italian loaf that were served first were very tasty, and the main courses were enough for two meals. The iced tea was brewed. Everything was great.

Neighborhood restaurant with excellent quality food, especially breakfast. Old school waitress are always accommodating. A bit pricy if you go regularly. An omelette/potatoes/toast with coffee runs at $10-$13. But again, I would not trade it for Danny's.

In my post-fabric shopping haze, I needed food before tackling the next acid fabric trip. I asked for a referral and was pointed towards Robert's. One chicken soup and patty melt later, I felt at home. It's a good looking diner with that hometown feel, simple food well prepared. The service was the best; they're pros in there. Nobody called me hon, but they seemed to know everybody else by name. A great stop if you're in the area and want good w/o the fuss or difficult parking.

this place is probably one of the things i miss about living in hollywood. granted, it's not that far of a drive but their hours are real short and i like to sleep in on my days off. dad and i would go have breakfast or lunch here every monday, it was the highlight of my week. it's super hectic and crowded inside, you might have to wait a little bit to sit down but you can always sit at the counter if anything. they're only open for breakfast and lunch. the menu is great for both and they've always got daily specials. some of the staff are extremely friendly and some are just...well it's diner-ish so you get where i'm going with this. robert's is a little jewel and may not be the easiest place to find but once you find it you'll be glad you did. they make the best tuna melt i've ever had in my entire life, the fries are whatever but oh the melt. and everything on the breakfast menu is pretty damn good.
