Awesome lunch! So I was out on a Sunday shopping around local farmers markets and came across this little place. Its a bit hard to see from the street but once you go inside its cozy and fresh! We walked in for produce and ended up staying for lunch. Its fall so we decided on a raw pumpkin and banana smoothie that was great and refreshing. They make it on the spot and you can see them cutting the fruits and veggies for you. Then we decided to try out the veggie panini and that was a WOW factor. Roasted zuchini, eggplant, red peppers, onion and mushrooms on ciabatta with pesto also made to order. I even had to ask are all the veggies for one sandwich? The helpings are generous and even my hubby loved it. The owner is there to help you with any questions you may have and makes everything from scratch herself. Its nice to see a little place like this in my neighborhood. I know i have a new lunch place, and can do my veggie shopping too!!

To all poutine lovers!!! This is the place to go for the real deal. Hot crunchy french fries, topped with fresh curd cheese (not the traditional cheddar curd). It tastes more like mozzarella cheese when they pour the hot thick dark slightly tangy brown gravy all over the fries and cheese. The price of their poutine is very close to the price that I pay when I am in Canada. Their sandwiches are really cheap and ice cream is good. When you drive into the parking lot you can see that most of the cars are from Quebec. This place can get very busy but it's one of my favorite places to go for poutine.
I don't know about the poutine because well, I'm not a Canadian. I go to Dairy Bell for the Ice cream. This place has the best Soft Serve you can find in South Florida and the prices cannot be beat.
I love this place! Their poutine is the best, and the ice cream is well worth the wait.

Went with two friends and we all loved it! Cozy little restaurant with romantic but dark lighting (in the evening) and very unassuming looking on the outside but it feels authentic and from the servers to the food it's clear that's exactly what this restaurant is. I forgot to take pictures of our meals since we were all excited to eat but the Eggplant Parm, Steak, and Linguine with Meatballs were all fantastic. Homemade marinara sauce will tell tales. Before the entrees they brought us toast with seasonings and bruschetta as well. Before dessert they brought us watermelon, and with the check we got little amaretto cookies! Dessert, by the by, was what topped off the experience as perfect. We tried all three they offered, ice cream, cannoli and tiramisu. The cannoli was perfect, the ice cream was sweet but delicate and fluffy, and the tiramisu was heavenly and agreeably the best any of us had ever had. It was moist, not too sweet, incredibly fluffy and full of flavour. Wrap up your meal if you need to save room for dessert because it's so worth it. P.S. The server were very kind and attentive. Not overly sweet like you'd expect in an American restaurant, but rather in a genuine way you'd expect from an Italian man. He very much deserved our tip and I can't wait to go again when I'm in the area. :)
Don't go to this little place. My wife and myself had made a reservation for dinner on Saturday night, showed up 15 minutes early and were told by a mustachioed waiter that they had given our table away to friends. We had made the reservation over 24 hours earlier. They are not honorable people as it was evident they knew exactly what they were doing. Gene M
The hidden Italian gem in Dania Beach... The REAL Italian trattoria!!! Starting with the REAL Italian experience: small, cozy place, handle by the owners, you literally feel in Italy. The food is real, made from scratch, no BS. Good prices, good selection on the menu, no surprises here. Complementary bruschetta to start, watermelon and sambuca to finish... Is just AMAZING! I couldn't stress more: if you are around the area, or even a little far... Take the trip! You would not regret! BRAVO!

Wonderful little family owned Italian Restaurant that prides itself on great service and the food is very good. Try the Penne a la Vodka, it is great. The salads and bread are great also. Large portions that leave you enough to take home for a snack later. It is the type of place that every time you go there you see the same people, I think some old Italian couples eat there every night.
Very cosy little Italian place off Dania Beach Blvd. The atmosphere is really quiet and laid back and the staff is super friendly and attentive. I ordered the chicken parm and my husband had the spicy shrimp. Both were great. The waitress gave us a house salad and fish appetizer on the house which was very nice. It seems more like your at someone's house then a restaurant which is a great compliment. Home cooked food leaves you feeling more then just full.
Stuck back in an obscure corner section of a Dania strip mall is Mundi, which is traditional sort old time mom & pop Italian restaurant. Indeed it is everything you might think that an old time mom & pop Italian restaurant might be. It has the super friendly service that puts you at ease, sort of make you feel like an Italian family member, and custom prepared from the ground on up food with a home cook touch about it. The menu is complete, rather typical of Italian restaurants but each dish possessed of a unique custom or untypical twist in its preparation. The patron crowd is elderly and indeed, at my ripe age of 70, I found myself, with exception of the wait staff, to be the "spring chicken" of the crowd. The background music is also somewhat untypical and unexpected in that it was all big band late 30's and early 40's music without any of that Hoboken Sinatra or Stubenville Martin crap so typically used as the background music in other Italian restaurants. I started off with Mundi's Special Calamari ($11.95) which was sliced ring breaded calamari that had been fried then tossed together with pickled pepper and black olives. It came served in large portion heaped on top of a piece of bread, was spicy, tasty and indeed of unique preparation. After having their house salad with in house vinaigrette dressing I went for the Veal Francese ($19.95) which came with four good size portions of battered...I thought somewhat overly breaded...anything but the menu mentioned "light" battering...pounded tender portions of veal along with a of what I would discern to be a cheese like, near alfredo sauced spaghetti. Then as a surprise treat on house, I was given a small bowl containing three delicious tasting fried dough like balls of zappole, though I'm not sure what they may term them to be, dusted with powdered sugar that I've only had once before when traveling Villa Petto, Italy, and to my delight, equally as good.

Nothing better than ending any meal with Jaxson's ice cream. All the ice cream flavors are great. My two personal favorites are death by chocolate and blueberry. Their banana splits are great and one of these days I'm gonna have to try their actual food besides ice cream.
Been here several times over the last several years. Ice cream for dinner is their motto! Have yet to try food because their ice cream is too delicious to wait for. Love getting the JR sundae to split with my hubby with the three dipping sauces, oh my goodness drool! Last visit, grabbed cone from window, Salted Caramel...was the best I have every had and cannot find comparison anywhere else!
Okay, so I had to check out this spot to see what the lines outside the door and a feature on food-network was all about. Our server Antoinette was very pleasant and helpful in suggesting items for us to try off the menu. The fun, and quirky atmosphere was nice, let's put it this way. Everything was good until I saw the prices for the items on the menu. In my opinion, the food did not meet my expectations and the quantity really takes away from being able to enjoy a meal and have room for desert, which to me is really the best part of our experience at Jaxson's. Will we be back for the food? Maybe not, but the ice cream definitely.

I knew nothing of this place except that I had driven by one day and saw that here was ANOTHER English pub. I went in and found the owner, a genial chap named Richard. He gave me a wee bit of background and a menu and after a short chat I told him I would come back as I liked what I saw and I liked him. One night after theater I called to see if they were still serving food and he said that he would keep the kitchen open until I arrived. I thought this we a good signal for a service establishment. This pub is real, no doubt about Richard being British for sure, and it has a genuine family pub atmosphere from way back before the Tilted Kilt type places started popping up. The decor is part this and part that, like all real pubs in England with the exception of the dining room which they have redesigned with the hope that they can attract local artists. Who does that? Ever?? They have the correct items on the menu and were spot on with the Ploughman's Lunch at $14.95. (every item was imported and high quality) and the Shepard's Pie at the same price. The portions were very large and no way could we finish all of the food. I'm a retired investigator and nosey and full of questions but the help and the owners put up with me and even invited us to join with their after hours meal. I was chuffed to be sure. At a round table in the dining room I met the couple who tend bar and Richard's cook helper. It was very warm and clearly they are family and enjoying this business together. I'll be going back to have everything on their menu and I will report as honestly as I can. Well, a long time has passed since I wrote about Richard's pub and I've been in a few times to eat and drink his marvelous beer. I especially liked the club sandwich, red pepper soup (a beefy/cream/red sweet pepper concoction), Irish lamb stew with lots of body and flavor, the Ploughman's Lunch (which I could get addicted to), and his fish and chips. Richard has a wonderful website with vids and one is Richard doing his recipt for fish and chips. He has added an assortment of wings which friends say are really spot on. I wonder why one of the local news stations haven't done something with him. (Consider all the press done for that awful Le Tub mess on A1A.) I guess I'll keep wondering about the press in South Florida.
If I were to sum this place up in one word it would be incompetence. They have everything to be a great establishment but no motivation. They seriously need a reinvention! 1. No happy hour?? WTF ( who doesn't have that??) 2. Make needed repairs to that damn building?? (Rain pouring in the bar are through a faulty window is unacceptable!) 3. Re paint the exterior of the building!!( Haven't you heard of curb appeal??) 4. Serve uniquely British items for a reasonable price; duh!! 5. At there prices there should be AC!?? Give your customers a Damn good reason to come back!
I have been coming here several times a week for about 4 years. The banter with Richard is fun and the food is always great.

Anytime a place puts a warm pastry in front of me as soon as I sit down, you know it's going to be great. I rarely eat sweets but it was worth every calorie. This is a locals place. Waitresses call people by name and ask if they want the usual. Man behind me told his waitress not to worry about him he was going out of town for a month. Lots of seniors and the owner has to have history in a New York deli at some point. Breakfast was great, service was great and the prices are great. Be warned, you have to walk through the bakery to get a table. Calories abound!!
Since 1957 owned by the same family. The family name is "grandpa's". The food: First they have a great bakery. The menu all your comfort food favorites. 15 -20 specials, turkey, salmon, prime rib, stuffed shells. Good soups and a wonderful thick chile. Fresh bread on the table with cinnamon buns. Had an enormous order of stuffed shells. Loaded with cheese and a rich tomato sauce. Excellent. Also a must stop for breakfast You could catch an episode of "Drive ins diners and dives" featuring Grandpa's . As a bonus your 50 yards from Jaxson's ice cream.
Damn man damn that is a lot of food. Came on a busy Sunday. Waited in line less than 10 minutes to get a table. After ordering they brought out complimentary danish. Holy crap, this could be a meal in itself. I got the country fried steak with eggs, hashbrowns and a biscuit which was pretty good and was a very large portion. Struggled to eat it all. The place has a lot of seating and they are very efficient so it flows quickly.

Spending the night in FLL before jumping on a cruise. Chipotle was just down the street from our hotel. The menu is simple and to the point. Choose your style, choose your meat and load up on the toppings. The freshness of the ingredients is the key. DW and I both went with a buritto, she went with pollo, I went with steak. The mild salsa, which is more like a pico de gallo was excellent as was the guac, which is worth the extra charge. I'm writing this four hours later and I am still stuffed. Dd had some chicken tacos but she thought they were too spicy, i helped her finish those off as well which probably didn't help my bloated belly much but didn't want to leave good grub behind. Would definitely go here again. He'll if I get hungry later I might be going back!
I lived off of this place for almost a month while in Florida for training. Chipotle is always fresh, made to order and has some of the best Carnitas around! It doesn't matter which one you go to they are all amazing. I'll eat here next time Im I'm Florida for training!
I'm a picky mexican food eater, so this isn't authetic to my standards BUT its fresh, delicious and tasty. I love that they dont have too many items on their menu, you see their ingredients and everything is good. I usually have the carnitas fajitas burrito with hot sauce. And this location is always packed because its strategically placed near various hotels.

Arrived with low expectations, Florida sports bar expectations. Pleasantly surprised by a very nice spinach salad accompanied by Olympic figure skating & snowboarding!
Delightful little hole in the wall place we found by accident. This place reminded me so much of Bennigan's (where I met my husband many years ago!). The fact that they had a $5 martini pretty much had me sold. :) The waitress was young and very sweet - great service and was also nice enough to give us some recommendations. We started off with fried mozzarella - two big triangles of fried cheese - heaven! My husband had the pulled pork sandwich - they bring two huge bottles of different bbq sauce and he liked them both. I had a grilled cheese - delicious, buttery, cheesey goodness. Although I may have gained a few pounds while there for an hour, it was well worth it! Will definitely visit again if we're in the area. One not fun side note - they charge for sauces (my husband asked for honey mustard, which he didn't like, and was unfortunately an extra .50 cents.)
Decent food, good ass wings service sucks
