Loved the laid back vibe here but loved the friendly smiles along with the homemade sweets and coffee! I had a white mocha frappe with a huge cinnamon roll. So glad I tried this. A fan of local coffee shops because the coffee tastes better: made with love!
Family owned coffee shop in downtown Crestview. A little off 85 but has a nice atmosphere, is clean, the owners are friendly and its much better than Starbucks. Its nice to see Main street start to become a little gentrified.
New Louisiana French pastries are being added. I hope the chef stays, they are AMAZING!

I thought I had tasted paradise after Krispy Kreme but after tasting the donuts here I felt like I was flying into heaven! This place has the best donuts that's ever roamed this planet and if it were possible to eat two boxes in a day I would.. Number one donut shoppe to purchase donuts around here! Beats Dunkin. :)
This is like the best mom and pop donut shop in America! Maybe I'm being partial because I have so many great memories of going here as a kid with my mom before school. But my husband who is a sweets king, absolutely loved this place when I took him. He gobbled up like 8 donuts in like 6 minutes--he would have eaten more if he wasn't sharing with me and our daughter! I am not sure what they do to make their donuts but they taste absolutely AmaZing!! This place is a must every time I visit home in Crestview. Please be sure to stop here if you are in the area, guarantee it will be the best donuts you have ever tasted!
As long as I live in the Crestview area I won't buy a donut anywhere else. These are the best cake donuts, Krispy Kreme doesn't even compare. Worth a stop in or drive buy (they have a takeout window) and is cozier than a Starbucks.

The man that owns the place, Bob, is so nice. I would have came back just for the amazing customer service I got. I'm from South Jersey, I got a hotdog with kraut and mustard and it made me feel like I was back at home on the beach. The fries were really good too, fresh. Will for sure come back and try something else off the menu.
My husband and I love this place. Good, simple food made just right. The owner and his wife are wonderful people with huge hearts, and will chat with you about anything. We try to go as often as we can!
It is Soooooo hard to find a good Chicago Dog!!!! And this place nailed it!!! The bun wasn't wet from the pickle spears or peppers.... And the tater tots were seasoned very good I recommend going here for a quick, cheap, delicious meal. My wife and I both got Chicago dogs and a side of tots for about $10 and I think they even have a drive thru!

If you like homemade Southern cooking that you know can't be good for you this is the place! We love this place. It's super-old school, old-time atmosphere that's hard to find. The building is old and it makes you feel like you went back in time. The food is amazing and there are things there I had no idea existed. Although we are from Texas, so there are a lot of things here in NW Florida we didn't know existed. I usually don't like fried chicken, but this one is amazing. I don't like bread pudding, but this one is very good and not super wet like some are. The mashed potatoes are real and the gravy is awesome. You pay one price and it's a buffet. The only negative is the hours they are open. M-F and only for a few hours. I think it's something like 11am-1:30pm, but the effort to get there is worth it.
Nice local place for southern style cooling!! Fried cornbread brought back memories of my wife's great grandmother's cooking!! They are only open from 11-2pm but it gets crowded pretty quick each day. They don't have a large selection on their buffet but it is made fresh daily. In regards to food, I had a selection of the fried chicken, ham, and roast beef and it was pretty good. My son enjoyed the bread pudding for dessert and the salad bar seemed pretty basic. The decor & atmosphere is.... memorable. If you sit against the wall you will see crumpled newspapers peeling off have been painted over. You will notice this is a local's place with people wandering to other tables to chat with an old buddy or waving at people as they walk in. Not a big buffet guy so I probably will not come back unless one of my kids wants to eat here again. My son had field day and wanted to try it so this is why we tried it out.
Desi's is a Crestview staple. Cheap and delicious. I may have diabetes from the delicious bread pudding and enough cholesterol to clog every artery in my body, but damn that food was great!!!! I make it here once a month for good southern food.

I always prefer true local restaurants but my wife and son this time around wanted Cracker Barrel after he finished having a short surgery. Always an older crowd during the week. The food is consistent from store to store when I travel and this place was no exception. Must say the special cinammon streussel bread was lackluster but the basics were as good as usual. Nothing to write home about BUT my wife was so glad to sit next to that warm fire that I decided a 4 star review was in order. Service was really friendly as was the older gentleman sitting next to us.
Great service from friendly server. Shy was her name. The wife had chicken and dumplings and I had the bacon burger. Food was hot and tasted good. Also, the food was received about ten minutes after ordering it. That was impressive because they were packed! Definitely recommend.
Absolutely great food. We walked in the door and was greeted immediately. Breakfast is the bomb. Service could have been a lot better like I took away a start because of it but it's whatever that's not going to stop me from getting their pancakes.

Emerald Isle Seafood Restaurant & Market

1260 S Ferdon Blvd
Crestview, 32536
Reviews:
While on vacation over July 4th weekend, my husband and I decided to eat here our first night based on other Yelp reviews. We wanted to eat as much fresh seafood as we could while near the ocean, and Emerald Isle did not disappoint. I ordered the fish and chips, and my husband had the shrimp po-boy. Both were delicious. I believe this place also had the best hushpuppies out of anywhere we ate on this trip. We shared a cup of gumbo, and that was really good, too. The place doesn't look like much, but the staff was friendly, and the service was quick. Definitely recommend it!
My wife and I were driving into Destin for a week-long vacation. We were already getting famished, and I figured that it would be easier to stop for lunch outside of Destin and then just truck on in. Emerald Isle looked like the perfect spot to grab some delicious seafood. The dining area here is sort of small, but certainly large enough for our purposes. The seafoam walls are relaxing, and the typical nautical decor put us in a beachy mood. In addition to the restaurant, they also have seafood available for purchase (as the name would suggest). The market section is pretty big. I really wanted to snag some alligator/pork and pork/crawfish sausage for the road, but my wife said no. Party pooper. I ended up ordering the Gulf Shrimp, blackened. It comes with hush puppies and two sides of your choosing, for which I selected the Gouda cheese grits and the fries. The hush puppies were super fluffy and had an awesome batter. The fries were surprisingly and pleasantly fresh cut shoestrings. They had a great seasoning and were very tasty. I don't eat grits all that often, mostly because I usually find them a bit flavorless. These, however, were delicious and creamy. I could really taste the Gouda! My shrimp were extra-delicious from all of the blackening spices. They also tasted very fresh, although I'd expect nothing less from a place so near the water. Our waitress was a sweetheart and gave us great service. She also gave us a few tips for Okaloosa Island. We will definitely be back!
The fresh seafood is out of this world delicious! We had the bronzed fish tacos (best I have ever eaten!) and the shrimp platter. The homemade key lime pie was light and fluffy - so delicious! The fish market has all of the product on ice so you know it is fresh. Laid back atmosphere and great service. We cannot say enough good things about this place!

Have to give them all the stars. I had the corn beef hash with pancakes and bacon Hubbs had the huge pancake with sausage, eggs and hash browns!! We both thought we would be taking it home but it was just so good we had to finish the food. Everything is cooked as you order it so it does take some time to get your food depending on what you ordered. But I am highly impressed. The customer service was also very welcoming. The lady Rhonda was our waitress and was just the sweetest woman you will ever meet. We definitely found our new breakfast spot! :)
Food was very fresh. The environment reminds you of someone's house. It's small, but comfortable. They are very hospitable. The food was good. They also let us try some homemade things not on the menu. Definitely will return. can't wait to try the lunch specials.
Quaint southern breakfast at its best. The biscuit sandwich was delicious and fresh. The corn beef hash breakfast was incredibly good. The coffee wasn't great but fine. The prices, quality of breakfast and quick service makes this hidden treasure a must stop while passing thru this area.

I absolutely love this place!!! My husband lived in japan for 2 years and he says that this is the closest he has had to the real thing! Everything we have tried is amazing! I think the prices are a bit high on the sushi, but it's worth every penny! It clean and the staff is friendly!
Great sushi for a local place! Sunday nights and $1 Kirin Ichi Ban makes it our favorite night to go. We love sitting at the sushi bar and talking with the chefs. The best soy ginger dressing ever! I do wish it was more like a relaxing restaurant...not almost fast foody!
This was not at all what we expected... Unless you are going for just sushi and sit at the sushi bar, you go to a counter to place your order. In doing this, we lost our table and had to find somewhere else to sit. My husband got the beef hibachi.. it was not anything spectacular and lacked flavor. I decided to try Japanese curry, and it was a lot like yellow thai curry, but nothing spectacular. We also got a roll of sushi for an appetizer, which didn't come out until we were halfway done with our food. The sushi was good. You have to get your own drinks and silverware too.. It was very loud also and had to almost yell to be heard. There are much better places to get sushi, hibachi, and Japanese food.

Absolutely fantastic. My wife and I just moved to the area from Fort Walton and wanted to try this place from the reviews, and they did not disappoint. We both ordered the 3 piece tender dinner, mashed potatoes and I had fries, wife had macaroni and cheese. This is as close to good old country home cooking as you can get from a restaurant. Frank, the owner, sent us out free samples of their chicken livers, gizzards, green beans, greens, baked beans and banana pudding....not one thing we tried was less than amazing. The sweet tea was right where it needed to be too, super sweet. Prices are some of the best we've seen too, considering the quantity of food we got, and no drop in quality. We'll definitely be coming back!! Come hungry and ask for samples ;)
Took 40/minutes just for fries and had to remind the staff asking them after 20 minutes if they were done. By time I got my whole order the rest of my food was cold. No apologies were given and they seemed frustrated to even have to bother with me and my order. I don't care how good the food is. If I'm treated like an inconvenience I won't give them my money again.
I tried the shrimp last night for the first time. Excellent!! I've never had anything here that wasn't fantastic. The staff is super friendly and you get your meal quickly. Go try it out.
