Great food! Coffee was fantastic. The salad I ordered had fresh crisp vegetables and the grilled cheese I ordered was perfect, although a bit pricey. Not much on the menu for vegetarians or pescatarians.

Nachos were pretty blah. The Ribs included the cartilage tips and impossible for kids to eat them. Service and atmosphere was nice. I need to try a few more menu items before giving them more or less stars.

Outstanding BBQ. Pulled pork was fantastic. Now in new location in Medart.

This is the best barbecue I've had yet. Their chicken and ribs are standouts, even the tossed salad is extraordinary! I wish I lived closer, but until then, every visit in town, I'm gonna be heading to this place!

Very tasty BBQ, we had a pulled pork and a pulled chicken along with a local mango-wit brew from Tallahassee. Friendly folks and pet friendly.

Food was amazing, no complaints there. Just be warned that there are no fans in the dining area and flies are everywhere. As long as you don't mind eating with one hand and swatting away flies with the other, the food is awesome.

Chicken wings were the best ive ever had. Thought the sauces were great as well. Burger was great. Ribs..not so much. If they served baby back ribs with that sauce...it would ROCK. Sides were pretty good.

Service was bad, food was ok, sauces are not all that. Nachos include chips, cheese and a little meat...not my definition of nachos, but to each their own.

The food is always fresh, the atmosphere is always friendly, and it's a great place to eat if you're ever in Crawfordville, Florida. The barbecue is outstanding and the sweet and tangy sauce cannot be beat.

Best BBQ in Florida. Found this place by chance driving home after a trip to the beach. Now I stop there every time I pass through.

Stopped by here while riding across the United States along the Southern Tier Route in April 2014. I had a lot of BBQ as I crossed and this was by far my favorite. I got a combination platter and loved every bit of it. One of my favorite BBQ places of all time.

Great pulled pork and sauce. The sandwich on texas toast was worth five stars by itself! They also had great beer on tap, and lots of bottles to choose from. I didn't love the mac and cheese or the brunswick stew. The mac and cheese was creamy, but it didn't have a distinct cheese flavor. The brunswick stew was more like a vegetable soup. I didn't find any meat in mine, and it was missing that savory flavor often added by pork or chicken. I would drive thirty minutes each way to go eat here again. Between the bbq and the beer, it would be worth going back to try something else. This place is small on the inside, and we were lucky to get a table. Be prepared to wait if you go on a Saturday for lunch like we did.

Went searching for local BBQ on a 5 hour trip. Missed this place on the way in, but managed to catch it on the way back! If ever in Crawfordville, give these guys a shot. If they were in my neighborhood, I would eat there weekly! Pulled pork and chicken had good texture and tenderness. The beans appeared to be a canned version, but not the cheap canned version, considering it is a side, only a minimal deduct from overall. I had the Brunswick stew as well, and although everyone has their take on the delicacy (to me), I did truly enjoy it. The stew was very flavorful and had plenty of meat in it as well. Seems they have possibly listened to a previous YELPER! Multitude of sauces, both for wings and BBQ! They have their bases covered. A sweet carolina mustard, a tangy sweet memphis style, a western Carolina tomato based hot, and another I never even made it to! TEXAS toast was outstanding and portions are big. Great atmosphere, friendly staff,....good BBQ just shy of 5 stars....give them a shot if ever near Tallahassee, Fl in Crawfordville....you WON'T be disappointed!

The bar-b-que is always good and consistent. Whether you want pulled pork, chicken or ribs. Some weeknights they have specials which are reasonably priced. They have quite an assortment of beer on draft. The wine selection is less than adequate.

Great food and an easy going atmosphere. Service was good and on sunny mid 60s February day, it's perfect for outside seating.

I have a teenage son who is a Brunswick Stew aficionado but a very picky eater otherwise. We got smoked steak sandwiches and Brunswick Stew. My son started eating in the car before I pulled out of the parking lot - and he said - you better go back in there and buy as much Brunswick stew as they have because this is awesome. The food is tremendous, I thought everybody was friendly - so I am not sure about the detractors on the service. I encourage trying the pulled pork, ribs and the smoke sliced steak - the steak melted in your mouth, dripping juices - and although they have a variety of BBQ sauces....this didn't require anything at all.... If you have made it to Hamaknockers - you are in God's Country for sure - right at the crossroads of the Forgotten Coast - Old Florida as it was decades ago ! Enjoy

After sampling their tasty sauces, the meal was a let down. I was intrigued by the tasting table with all the Hamaknocker sauces. Sweet and Tangy had a nice kick and Hot was hot enough, I didn't need to try Fire Hot. Jessie James was a favorite. Alas, then the food showed up and not even the yummy sauces could save the meal. First, the pulled pork. The meat, though tender, lacked any flavor. Sauce should enhance the flavor, not be the sole source. Second, the loaded baked potato with chopped pork. Advertised as butter, sour cream and bacon with chopped pork, it arrived drenched in some sort of cheese sauce, with a tube of sour cream and a small (sealed) container of "whipped spread." If you say butter, then serve butter! Everything tasted like cheese sauce. The sour cream and spread were not used. And I pulled a significant piece of fat from the pulled pork. Ugh! The life saver was the half rack of ribs. An 8 out of ten, they were sweet and tender. Won't be driving out of my way to go again but if I do, it'll be all ribs and no spuds.

Great BBQ. Wings, ribs & chicken, yum. And Colleen is the best. This is the place! Our hotel recommended the restaurant, which made us a little skeptical, but turned out to be great. Highly recommend.

We loved our dinner at this restaurant. I had the pulled pork nachos. Delicious!! My husband had the pulled pork sandwich which he devoured and my daughter had the stuffed baked potato. A huge win in her opinion. The server we had was so nice. Great casual restaurant. Don't hesitate to try all of the BBQ sauces on your table. They were fantastic!

Stopped by as we sample different BBQ on vacation. Lots of sauces- the Jerk and Sweet & spicey were favorites. Ribs pretty good but tough and chewy in places. Smoked steak sandwich on Texas toast was tender and yummy.

This place has a lot going for it except for the service. Plan to sit and be ignored by the wait staff while they sit and watch TV. The pulled pork is as good as any good bbq joint. Just don't expect drink refills. Two stars because of service otherwise a four.
