I love barbecue joints but only visit this one if starvation is your only option or if it's convenient to your visit to one of the nearby pawn shops. "Real Pit" in the name basically sums up this dive. Hush puppies with the shape and palatability of Titleist Pro-V golf balls. Portions of pulled pork that are very small, but here that's a compliment--one should not be tempted to eat more than survival dictates. God, but I do hate when a plate of food comes with other tinier plates on it containing things like cole slaw. What is the point of this? They're not kosher and separating meat and dairy after all. Is there an attire category beneath casual? Friendly service though.
