Actually my first time having non-breakfast at a Dennys. Not thrilled about the food. The onion rings were mediocre and my avacado turkey sandwich was super dry. I did however enjoy my strawberry shake very much, so that saved the meal. I don't have much to say about the service. It was next to our hotel and that's why we went. That's the only reason why we went. But we left well fed and not too much poorer. :)

It's a Denny's. Where else can you and your spouse eat for $10...total. The staff is very friendly. The food was done right. Just do not spend too much time looking at the mold on the ceiling or wondering when was the last time they did a deep clean.

This was probably the worst experience I've had in a Denny's ever. They weren't busy and still we were there for over an hours and a half. The Waffle was overcooked and the pancake puppies did not have the chocolate chips in them that they were supposed to. But overall it was the service and speed of service that was most detracting.

  • Raphaël L.

The food is what you would expect from a Denny's: truck stop food. The service is terribly slow. It shouldn't take an hour to make pancakes and eggs...

NO STARS * One star is way to good for this place. They give a new definition to the words "slow and service". Waited a long time for service, then a long long time for food, "two hamburgers and frys". There were about 4 wait staff, 4 people working in the kitchen and about 12 customers. Then after the wait they brought the wrong food. Said they were out of what we ordered. NEVER AGAIN DENNYS There wasn't a happy person on the whole place. A REAL DOWNER

Well after reading the reviews glad we came for breakfast anyway. Got say right away at 9:20 arrival time. Ordered and breakfast was on our table within 10 minutes. Very quick! Everything was tasty and our waitress Robyn was pleasant but not in an annoying chatty way. Plenty to eat and the usual low cost Dennys price. We did have to ask for a coffee refill which was the only unusual Dennys problem. The restaurant could use a refresher as it looks tired and heavily used. Good place for breakfast!

I try to lead with a positive in my reviews, so I'll say, it's easy to find and there's enough parking but I can see why this location only has a 1.5 average review rating. The food was bad, the cashier had a terrible attitude and they're either understaffed or can't handle less than full seating on a weekday. I'm generously giving it 2 stars because they offer free Grand Slams on Veterans Day if you have your ID.

  • Lavonne B.

First we were brought the wrong food. Then the waitress explained that she never put our order in so we had to wait while people that were seated after us got their meals. Eggs that were ordered over easy had raw egg whites that seeped all over the plate. Sent the order back, the same plate was returned with the same food just a new order of eggs. Ordered wheat toast that the waitress had forgot... After using the restroom observed an employee on their phone leave the restroom without washing their hands. When bringing this to the attention of the manager he acted as if it was common practice to check the restroom without washing their hands... Also noticed mold on the air conditioning vents. Will not be returning here.

I really don't understand the other bad reviews on here. I've been here twice now, and both times were excellent!!! :-)! We had 2 different servers too - both good and kind and quick service. I just wanted to share that I really like this Denny's :-). And I'm very impressed with all the yummy options! I'll have to go many more times so I can try them all :).

  • Fidaa M.

This location is okay. I expected better out of Dennys. I went to several Dennys locations at several states. This place is little below the standard. It is not what I expected. That place is not clean and it smelled pretty bad especially by the entrance. I think this place will be better if they focus more on the cleanness

  • Ana D.

I feel bad for the staff as they seem to be undermanned. Our waitress was also the busboy and cashier. I've never been to a dirtier Denny's. The floor was so slippery that I had to tiptoe to the bathroom only to find it was disgusting too. Now I know why there is always parking here. The locals know better.

  • Brian T.

The place is a complete hit or miss but has been more of a miss as of recent. Incredibly slow service but I give them credit where due... when you do get your order it is generally correct and food quality is good. The place tends to get really dirty because it is understaffed. Small town situation where there are limited late night options and they tend to get slammed at random times. I do continue to dine here though because like I said, the food quality is usually good.

  • Andy H.

Awful. The worst Denny's I have ever been to. I expected the fast, friendly service and diner quality food that is commonplace at all Denny's. This one fell short on all counts. It wasn't a particularly busy time when my family and I dropped in, and because it was holiday season they didn't even have their full menu on offer. We waited over 30mins for our server to decide to take our order, only to find out half the menu wasn't available. Then after we placed our order it was 45mins later and we were still left hungry and waiting. My patience was wearing thin and I made the call to leave. We paid for our drinks and left. I wish I had read the other reviews before paying this place a visit.

Serving was good the lady was nice and the food got to the table really quick, the coffee is good and the menu is simple, good discounts for the military on veteran's day. I only like the breakfasts here, meals aren't that good tho.

  • Jennifer M.

To give this one star is disgraceful. This place is disgusting and I will be surprised if I don't get sick in the next day. I know this is Denny's and you can't expect much but the level of unprofessionalism here was beyond me. My waitress and the hostess constantly complained about their long shift and their kids at home. My table was dirty upon being seated. When I was about to leave, I went to the restroom to find one of the waitresses there with an open door. She didn't wash her hands upon leaving and there was no toilet paper in that stall. Disgusting! This sounds like a nightmare review, but I assure you it's all true.

We should have drove on when we saw the "now hiring" poster. With being short staffed, we feel like they still did a pretty good job. The cook was yelling from the back. The manager was trying to keep the inspector occupied. Staff was showing up late. Our food too way too long but we weren't in a hurry. I had asked for an iced coffee but it never made it to the table. The good thing is that they were all trying to to their jobs. No one was just standing around. Our server did check on up in passing. We use have such good luck with Denny's while traveling. :(

  • Scott S.

A little disorganized but it's Denny's, need I say more? They're a little slow cleaning tables, but it's Denny's, need I say more? They crammed as many people into 1 section as they could so as to overwhelm the waitress and prevent her from being able to keep glasses filled. Aside from that, the food was ok...for Denny's.

  • M G.

If you eat here, go after 11pm the food is great, and the service, but dont dare go during the day light, biych server will bite your head off if you open the blinds, she says you cant open because the glare gets into the eyes of the cook...? His ass needs to b looking down at the foods. Thats why it taste so bad......i went in 9/13/14, around 11am,...mmmmm poor service .......

  • Mike A.

What can you possible write about a Denny's? Food was ok, they did not have the pancake special I have had at other locations(Where you pick your mix in and topping). Not sure if the promo is over or this location did not have it. Water had an aftertaste and so did the soda drinks. Place was not as clean as it should be and service was poor. A waitress from another table kept screaming at the kitchen to make sausage or something like that(forgot sorry). Until I guess they finally made it and then she came back and yelled that they did not want it anymore. The fact that other diners had to hear that exchange was trashy. Our food was drenched in grease/oil. I ordered egg whites and even they were drenched in grease. If we had a car, we'd be over at the Waffle House (best coffee in the US), but alas we stayed at the Hilton and this was the only place within walking distance.

  • Nick M.

You gotta admire a place that does what it does and does it right. But this my friend, is NOT one of those places. To put things nicely, the soup was colder than the Arctic Ocean, I'm not sure that the turkey bacon was even cooked, the hash browns tasted like wood, heck, they couldn't even get us our water within 15 minutes. Just disappointing. If you're thinking that Denny's in a small town like cocoa beach is going to be good, you're wrong. Makes Taco Bell look like a 5 star restaurant. Just avoid this Denny's at all costs, go anywhere other than Denny's. Amen.

  • Josh M.

Service is extremely slow! We were here on a Sunday evening around 8:30p with only about 20 people in the restaurant. It took them 10 min to take our drink order. 30 min later we still didn't receive our order. We left. Two other tables also left without their orders.

Received a call from the Area Manager two days after my complaint to corporate and the writing of my review for Yelp. Seems that upper Managements word is no better than the service that they deliver at this establishment. He stated that he was going to personally get to the source of this problem and correct it. Obviously he did not think there was a problem. Had a neighbor just come back from Cocoa Beach and they tried to have breakfast at this place. His story about this place sounded just like the experience that I had. He along with several other diners got up and walked out of this place because of their lack of service. How this place is still in business really has me scratching my head. Management could still care less.

stopped in with a group of 10. 30 minute wait, 40 minutes to place order, 28 minutes to get food. Really bad service-won't be back ever.

  • Patti A.

STAY AWAY!!!! We went here (2people) on a Sunday morning. OK, I'm going to give them some slack because it WAS Sunday morning and that's a busy time. There is absolutely no excuse for the service we received. We were seated. 15 minutes later our drink order was taken and brought to us. We only had one place serving set for the two of us. Our meal order was taken and the waitress just kept apologizing over and over about the delay. After waiting 45 minutes a plate of fruit was brought to "hold us over" while we were waiting. The bananas were mushy and DARK brown...disgusting!! And we STILL didn't have a second set of silverware to eat with. Finally, after waiting an hour, I asked for the manager. He looked so unkempt that I thought he was the bus boy. We asked for our check and left without our meal. They were gracious enough not to charge us, but we will NEVER, EVER go back there again.. Dirty, disorganized and disgraceful is how I'd describe this place.

Let me say one thing, the food is classic Denny's but if you are looking for quick service " forget about it"

** NO STARS!! This place should have remained CLOSED! I first came in three years ago. It was just OK...a pretty typical Denny's. The waiter was a fun guy and the service and food were fine. The following year we came back and had an AWFUL experience. The same waiter was there, however he wasn't on his game. The restaurant was disgustingly FILTHY. They messed up our orders, the food was BAD. We asked for the manager. This little scrawny guy came out from the back and asked what was wrong. He was so inept. He had no people skills whatsoever. He eventually scurried back into his little office in the back and went into hiding again. When we left we said we'd never go back, and thought the place probably wouldn't make it. Sure enough, last Spring when we came down, it was CLOSED! We were not at all surprised. However, this Spring we were STUNNED to see it has reopened, and there is a big banner sign stating, "Now Hiring!" The sign should say, "Now Hiring New Manager!" We unanimously agreed NOT to give it another try.

I Rate this dennys on a dennys scale. So from one to five stars I give this place a three. I have been to better dennys but I have also been to worse. . The best thing about this dennys is its alot less busy than other breakfast or diners in cocoa beach. On a funny note this dennys was once closed from 10 pm to 6 am for about a year. Was a very slow dennys and could not get people to come all the way to the beach just to sit all night. Funny. Dennys is dennys and this one is ok.

This is the worst Denny's I've been to. Service is extremely slow and employees are very grim acting. No smiles, no excitement. The table next to us had been there for 30 minutes and we got food before they did. Not to mention it took about 30 minutes for ours as well. It needs a complete overhaul. Food was edible.

    (1)
  • Cynthia G.

Terrible service and the food was nasty. It took our food 45 mins to get here to find the pancakes undercooked.

Sat at the bar and the waiter mentioned how he was used to working at fine dining restaurants and therefore couldn't serve me the nasty iceberg lettuce which came with the garden salad and asked if I would be ok with the romaine. Score one for Denny's! Shortly after I saw him and the cook out front smoking. Whoops, Denny's is Denny's after all. Salad, Quesadilla and six Shrimp came to 6 bucks. Who can beat that pricing? Especially at 11 pm on a weeknight. Not much more to say. I'll be eating there again.

    (3)
  • Rebecca H.

Dirty... Just dirty. The floors, the tables the bathroom. If denny's didn't serve good breakfast I wouldn't come back because of all the disappointments i've gotten with the restaurant itself

  • Fred G.

Waitress was a great server and attentive. Food preparation was below quality of other Denny's.

    (3)
  • Joe W.

It's Denny's so don't expect much. If you get "Carmen" as your waitress just get up and walk to another section. That woman spends more tikme at the counter arguing whose job it is to fill up the juice machine, what shift someone else is working, and arguing over how toast should be written on a ticket than waiting on her customers.

    (2)
  • Jennifer P.

so not worth it... I went here for breakfast on a Sunday morning and ended up waiting 20 minutes for a table and 45 minutes for our food after we sat down. The food was mediocre and totally not worth the price. I will never go back here.

Went for late night food, only place open, except fast food. Only reason to go there, never in daylight.

    (2)
  • Eric H.

Disappointing. Kitchen staff is dragging down the facility. Yelling and complaining heard all the way out in the seating area. Over an hour to get the Luke warm food which was not a complete order. Wait staff did more damage control comping people and offering excuses. Denny's needs to review their management.
