Uncle Kenny’s BBQ Menu

Sorry, We are updating this restaurant menu details.

Uncle Kenny's BBQ is the best BBQ in the Clermont area, possibly the world. I'm always torn between trying something new or sticking with their pulled pork every time! Today, I felt a little adventurous and went with their pork steak, and had coleslaw and baked beans with it, and it was amazing! The ribs are great and the Carolina Pulled Pork sandwich is phenomenal. If they ever have it on the menu, make sure to order their Jalepeno Poppers! This place has everything a BBQ fan could want, and with their friendly staff and great food, I'm always looking forward to my next trip down to Kenny's!

Out of prime rib special before 6 pm? Really? I don't think so. I'll save my bait and switch tolerance for used car deals. Unbelievable. My first visit here (some time ago as the original review has disappeared) was for a full rack of ribs special. The entree put in front of me was a full rack, but in length only. Never before have I seen such short stubby ribs. Sorry that doesn't equal a full rack in my book so the special wasn't really a special was it? (wish I'd had my camera) As for the rest of the meal, why bother when you can get this upset before the first bite?

Came here on accident and it was the best mistake I've ever made!! We had wings, pulled pork egg rolls and brisket and it was amazing!!! Best BBQ I've ever tried. Get the wings Melissa's way, the mixture of the two sauces is spot on. Everything was fresh, made to order and piping hot. Service is nice and helpful and the gentleman in the kitchen was very polite and helpful too!

This is a small little BBQ, and obviously a community family. Some people liked the BBQ more then others, but this place gets 5 stars for the service, homie atmosphere, and sweet people. Food: (4 STAR) half rib dinner 5 star. My BBQ pork sandier have was good but not the best pork I've ever had. The food is good, with all types of sauces and defiantly made with love. Atmosphere: (4 star) comfortable, welcoming, and you can come dressed in anything. Service: (5 star) wonderful people, everyone was welcoming, people like this are the reason I love family owned restaurants like this.

My family and I recently visited Uncle Kenny's BBQ for lunch at the recommendation of several locals we met at a shopping center across the street. We were told what it lacks in decor, Uncle Kenny's will for sure make up in it's food. They were right. The service was fantastic. The staff was very attentive and we wanted for nothing. We started our meal with the Pulled Pork Eggrolls. They were so good and honestly, could have been a meal by themselves. Seven of us were dining so we were able to try various items on the menu. Items ordered were the Carolina Pulled Pork Sandwich, Slicked Brisket Sandwich, Chopped Brisket Sandwich and the special of the day, the catfish platter. And don't let me forget the dessert! Let me just put it out there now, that may have been the best damn peanut butter pie I've ever had! The testament to this visit was when my Step Moms plate was left empty. This may have been the first time I've ever seen her eat everything on her plate. We can't wait to visit Uncle Kenny's BBQ again soon.

I had pulled chicken sandwich with fries and coleslaw. It was very good. The chicken might of been a little fatty but had a good smoky taste to it. Fries and coleslaw was good. Fresh brewed tea was great. Very busy during lunch hour. They don't have a lot of tables so there's s wait when they're busy. The service was friendly.

Don't let the hole in the wall looking like place fool you, we almost walked away because it didn't look nothing at all what we expected. what a big mistake we would've made! By far the best BBQ We've ever tried, their homemade BBQ sauces are incredibly good they have one for everyone's taste, of course I tried them all and some because I was told the secret about mixing the Original bbq with the mustard bbq and BOOM another flavor!!! We tried the 3 meat combo and wow That's a lot of AWESOMENESS in one plate!!! totally our money's worth. This is not a fancy place but you'll be genuinely greeted and treated as if you are the first customer they've ever gotten the staff is so friendly and courteous it exceeded our expectations! It is our son's birthday and they made sure it was extra special and treated him to one of their homemade desserts. We were only passing through on our way to Dallas but this will now be a MUST stop on our future visits to Orlando.

Mixed reviews on this restaurant. The ribs are meaty and the sauce was excellent. The sides were very plain and tasteless. I asked for water but they only have tap not bottled. Do yourself a favor and bring your own drinks. The water is awful and the waitress agreed. I'm not sure why they don't offer bottled since they know about the foul taste. Not very likely that I would return here unless it was for takeout for just the ribs. My father had the brisket and he complained it was tough and tasteless. They are plenty of barbecue joints in the area that are better.

Spotted this place on Yelp while in town on vacation. The reviews I read were confirmed...the pulled pork egg rolls were tasty, the pork very moist. Got the two meat plate with jalapeño sausage and ribs. The sausage had a nice smoke flavor and good spice to it. The ribs were very tender and juicy. I thought the mustard sauce was exceptional. The other three sauces were also good, and I thought the spicy wasn't nearly as aggressive as you see at some places (which could be good or bad, depending on your perspective, but it still had a nice flavor to it). I had the fries and okra for sides. They were acceptable, but nothing exceptional, which is a shame given how special the meat was. Service was fine. Nothing special, nothing bad. Did an OK job of keeping up with refills. Only other thing I wished for was a liquor license...bbq is soooo much better with a good craft beer! Still, the meat really stood out, so this is an easy four stars for me.

Best bbq around hands down. This guy Kenny and his wife are serving up amazing bbq. They r super nice and this place is very family oriented. You can tell by the awards all over the place that they know what they are doing. Check them out you won't be sorry.

Came here to hang with the Orlando jeep club. Had a great pulled pork sandwich. The vinegar sauce was close to Alabama BBQ ( a good thing), and the tea was sweet, but not stupid sweet. Just like I like it. If you find yourself in Clermonte, then I highly recommend stopping by for a bite!

Hit the spot! Try the egg rolls for a real treat. The portion size was just right and the original sauce was really tasty. I travel here for work monthly and look am already looking forward to my next visit.

We love the ribs at Kenny's barbecue. Brisket, pulled pork and chicken are just as good. We just keep going back again and again.

All I can say is people in the Minneola Clermont area must love bits of burnt grizzle in their Pulled Pork just the other day I tried Jacks down the road with the same out come pieces of burnt grizzle throughout my sandwich! So far Kenny's and Jacks are both at the bottom of my list when it comes to Pulled Pork!!!! At the top of my list is Pig Daddy Brewton Alabama Hooks and Larry's BBQ Andalusia Alabama! I could out smoke both Kenny and Jack!!!

The bbq was fantastic! Generous portions, friendly staff, and super affordable! I don't venture out to Clermont often, but when I do I'll definitely be stopping here! Had the 3 meat combo with 2 sides and 2 pieces of Texas toast. Decided on 1/2lb of pecan smoked sausage (the waitress gave us the option of pecan or jalapeño), 4 ribs, and chopped brisket. All of the bbq sauces were delicious. Sweet vinegar based, mustard based, original, and spicy. Baked beans were great, but the mac and cheese were nothing spectacular. For $17.99 my date and I were able to split all of this, and have a little room for peach cobbler. Total bill was $26. The owner came to our table, and asked us how our food was. After our meal we asked him the businesses story. It was very neat, and I'm happy to support local! When I suggested his prices are reasonable, and I enjoyed it so much, I'd be willing to pay more. He explained to me he's just happy to be able to put out quality food at a great price. I wish more businesses were like uncle kennys!

I always say people who give bitter and bad reviews about a place are probably ex employees who got fired!! Ha ha We enjoyed our lunch today at this place staff was very attentive, had the pull pork nachos they were good..BBQ tacos different but good..the 3 meat plater was big enough for 2 people!! Yum yum on the Ribs, sausages and chopped brisket!! Slaw was great and different potato salad was good. Over all we will go back again..but maybe a new location back in Winter Garden would be awesome!!! A new place to hang and show off All those awards they have won!!! For the people who complained about the styrofoam cups and way the food is served on baskets, Sonnys is just down the road on highway 50 have fun!! I like the picnic feel to uncle Kenny's and the simplicity of good food and decor..thanks again and Come back to WINTER GARDEN :-)

Got a gift certificate from our church fund raiser for the youth so tried it this past Tuesday. Had the pork egg rolls and fried pickles. Egg rolls were awesome, served with cole slaw. Pickles are spears which should be chips. Three of us shared pulled pork, ribs and brisket. All agreed the brisket was THE best ever! Moist and flavorful! Pork was excellent as were the ribs. Awesome trophies. Bought the rub and sauce to make at home. Prime rib on Thursdays. We'll be there!!

Love, love, love that place. Turned into a $700 lunch because we walked out with an electric smoker too. My husband has put every piece of meat through it that he can find. The food was fantastic, priced well, and service was attentive and caring.

Great BBQ, Their sauces are really good for being made in house. Wasnt to blown away by the atmosphere or sweaty employees. I ate here alone and was sat in the back room which had no AC on or half the lights turned on. Food is better then Jacks BBQ, I prefer to pick up here instead of eat in.

  • A A.

Great and very affordable bbq in a location that feels like a homey truck stop where everybody gets to know your name. Great and friendly service. Pulled pork was excellent, and the only reason they are not getting 5 stars was because the peach cobbler was just ok.

  • A Paul B.

Food was great. I had the ribs, collards, mac & cheese and toast. The ribs had a great smokey flavor. I had some leftovers that I warmed up in the microwave the next day that tasted better than most BBQ places fresh food. This is my new go to BBQ spot

By far my favorite place for BBQ in this area! It's a wonderful mom and pop restaurant that is for everyone. Photos of family, friends, history of Clermont, and contest awards make it a welcoming place to dine. Also the staff are friendly and take pride in making sure their customers are happy! I've tried several items here and have yet to be dissapointed. Their ribs are amazing with lots of meat that fall right off the bone. The brisket is done just right without a hint of toughness or dryness. However, my favorite meal that keeps me coming back is their jalapeño sausage!! It's made there fresh every day, and has a hint of spiciness that's not too strong. Put some of their BBQ mustard sauce on it and you're in Heaven. If you're in the area it's definitely worth checking out. Compared to other BBQ joints and chains nothing beats it. Also, you get a lot for what you pay for. The portions are HUGE so you have leftovers to enjoy another day!

  • Danielle F.

I was torn between three and four stars. The service was outstanding, very friendly and attentive. The food was good, but pricey for the portion. I got the pork tacos. Pork had great flavor, but there was literally less than 1/5 cup meat on the store bought tortillas. The "side" is a tiny styrofoam container that you consume in about 2-3 bites. For $8.99 that is ridiculous. That being said, the flavor was good and the barbecue sauces to choose from were yummy. As far as the appearance of the servers, I cannot believe the comments about servers missing teeth and looking like "meth heads"...really? How rude and judgmental....as if affordable dental care affects their ability to put your basket in front of you???

  • Mike W.

The food was indeed very good. But I think I did have my hopes up too much. I had the prime rib with homemade chips. I did enjoy the chips but at the same time I did not think they were anything different than anyone elses run of the mill kettle chips. The prime rib was fairly decent but had a fair amount of grissel left on it(which I am not a fan of). Very simple decor in the restaurant. I know they smoke their meats inside but the smoke level was definitely above average inside the restaurant. Overall I do wish I had ordered something else because I do feel like this place has potential.

This is my favorite BBQ joint in Florida! It has a very casual, family feeling atmosphere, with great servers and food. I applaud their owner for being there every time I've walked in, so the attention to quality is high. Try the pulled pork and baked beans!

Hole-in-the-wall stop in Cleremont full of Southern goodness. You know you are in the South when the waitresses call everyone "Hon". I had the Carolina Pull Pork Sandwich (pork with coleslaw) and fried okra. The pork was tender with nice flavor. I couldn't taste the coleslaw but it added a needed fresh crunch! The fried okra came piping hot but was slightly slimy in texture underneath the cornmeal coating. This didn't stop me from dipping them in the thick, creamy ranch dressing served with them though! (the ranch dressing was amazing!). I like having a variety of sauces to pick from: vinegar, spicy, original, mustard, etc. Uncle Kenny's vinegar and mustard were by far my favorites and were even better than that shrine to BBQ, 4Rivers. The pork also was not overly rich so you didn't feel like you had to be rolled out of the restaurant after lunch. Seemed a bit expensive for what you got (a sandwich and a side for $8.99) but it was a solid BBQ experience. Still have to rate 4R as my overall favorite but I'm glad I got to try Uncle Kenny's.

This place was a short trip from the Lakeridge Winery. The service was prompt, polite, and attentive. Our meal came out surprisingly quickly for my party of four. The food (I had the pulled pork sandwich) was good though wasn't anything super special. Classic no-frills bbq.

Danielle B hit the nail on the head with her review, but i will add mine. I love good bbq and I was this place as I was driving by. I ordered the brisket and then proceeded to try the choices of sauces they had on the table. All in all pretty good except for the bottle marked "spicy" It tasted like the maker just dumped a bunch of dry spices into it at the end leaving it with a very gritty taste. I was really excited about sinking my teeth into a juicy, tender and smoky brisket. Boy was I disappointed. The menu says 4 oz ,but I am sure there was only 3, but it didn't matter. What was served in the bun was completely void of any juice and was only palatable by dousing it in sauce. Good bbq should stand on its on without sauce. I leave on a positive note. The server was friendly, but was slow with my check, picking it up and saying she would be right back, and then proceeded to go to 2 tables and take their orders BEFORE going to run my card? I just don't think she knew any better. I am glad that I am not related to Uncle Kenny because I would be ashamed.

The waitresses were really attentive. The egg roll fusion BBQ pork and cabbage was great. The BBQ sauces tasted delish. Brisket was good. Summer sausage good. Texas toast was tasty.

Wow, I am astonished at all of the good reviews of this place. The food was HORRIBLE! Just about the worst BBQ I have ever consumed. The servers were very nice and attentive, but there is nothing else nice to say about this place. The decor is hideous. Worst of all - the drinks are served in styrofoam cups and all of the food is served on disposable dishes with plastic utensils - like they are trying to kill the planet. If I wanted a picnic, I wouldn't have gone to a sit down restaurant. The waitress recommended the pulled pork egg rolls, so we started with those. Eh. Bland - needed BBQ sauce. Their BBQ sauce tastes like it is straight out of the Kraft bottle - not good. I ordered the brisket sandwich with mac n' cheese - there were two over cooked, tiny, chewy, bland pieces of brisket on a bun - nothing else. It was THE MOST pathetic sandwich I have ever had and the brisket was so chewy it made me gag. The mac n' cheese... EEEEEEWWWWWWW... they DUMPED the garlic powder on... Such a terrible, nasty, garlic flavor that was repulsive (not a nice garlic flavor, but tasted like straight garlic powder). My husband ordered the ribs, they weren't chewy, but they were flavorless. He also got a potato salad that was pretty gross. Would never go back here. If this were the only restaurant in existence, I would still never go back. How anyone can think this food tastes good is beyond me, my dog probably would turn his nose at it.

It's a nothing fancy about our place, we do BBQ and don't make you pay too much type of place. After living in Memphis for 6 years, I'm a little picky, and they won me over. Lots of options for what you want, and so far none of it has been bad. The platters are huge, and I'm always taking home left overs for lunch the next day (Unless the husband gets to it first!). We love going here, just wish our work schedule allows us to go more often!

  • Lisa V.

We had two families of four just traveling through for the night. We stopped at 8 and had our order taken at 8:55. Out of chicken. With 4 kids under 12, that was kind of a big deal to us. Ribs were great and huge, is I could only eat 4 of the 6, so my husband helped, which was good for him because he said the brisket was tough. Liked the rub, likes the sauces. Really nice manager(?) who was outgoing and welcoming. Would go back at an earlier time to have a better experience.

Finally! A restaurant experience done right. My date night expectations were high based on existing reviews but I was thrilled with everything from the service to the amazing food. One of my pet peeves is asking a server for recommendations and hearing "it's all good..." I was happy to find that the staff helped make decisions incredibly easy by offering up recommendations without being prompted. Those recommendations were spot on. I love being guided towards what to eat and how to eat it. Looking forward to returning!

Great barbecue! We decided to take a spin up to Lakeridge Winery and stopped at Uncle Kenny's for lunch. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable and hearing we were first-timers, gave us some great suggestions. I had the beef brisket and jalapeno sausage and my husband had pulled pork and ribs. It was all delicious. There were sauces on the table; mustard, vinegar, red and spicy red. They pretty much have all the regional flavors covered with the sauces. The meat is smoked perfectly and very tender, the ribs fall off the bone. My favorite thing was the pork egg roll. Why have I never heard of this? Delicious pulled pork, with a dollop of coleslaw, rolled in an egg roll wrapper and fried nice and crispy. Don't miss this! The server recommended having the egg roll with the mustard bb sauce and she was spot on! For sides, we had mac and cheese, fries, coleslaw and collards. I loved the creamy coleslaw. The collards were good but my personal preference is to add a little sugar when cooking collards. Still, they were good and nice change of pace from the usual sides found at bbq joints. Desserts are made by locals so they really are homemade. I had peanut butter pie, cool and creamy with a crunchy graham cracker crust. Just as we were finishing up, the owner stopped by our table to see how we enjoyed our meal. What a nice guy! We had a conversation about the history of the restaurant and the barbecue and you can tell that he really does love this business. It definitely shows in the food. Shout out once again to the service staff, really great. We will be back and highly recommend Uncle Kenny's!

I have eaten there a few times. First 3 times it was yummy. The last time I ordered there they put to much smoke to meat , I did take out but could not eat it. Make me feel sick.

I was in the mood for BBQ this afternoon so I decided to check out Uncle Kenny's based on the positive reviews. In a word this barbecue is amazing! I ordered the brisket and could not find one fatty piece. It came out on the bun "dry" so I was free to try all of the award winning sauces before slathering on my ultimate choice. This also meant that my bun was not in any way soggy which is an issue I run into often. My husband ordered the pulled pork tacos that he devoured. The service was excellent our waitress kept stopping by to make sure our drinks were always filled and to offer suggestions. Every positive review on Yelp is well deserved as are the many trophies that line the walls of the restaurant. I'll be back to try the peanut butter pie and stuff my face again!

We live in Orlando, so it's a bit of a haul to get here, but it's SO worth it! The ribs are delish, the brisket is sublime, but my fave is the pulled pork egg rolls. The service is old school southern hospitality. My drink was never less than half empty (half full?), the food came promptly, and every request was met with a smile. I've never had dessert here, but that's only because the portions are so big I never have room!!

Usually any competition style bbq joints are legit and this place doesn't disappoint. I've only been here once. But I would return. I ordered the turkey, because it's the hardest to get right and they did ole Benny Franklin right with his favorite bird. It was very succulent. Order the fried okra with it. Authentic. Respect.

Now this is a place that knows how to cook amazing BBQ. Fall off the bone ribs. Tender brisket. Pulled pork that is super moist. Flavor behind every bite. This family owned award winning restaurant is a great hidden gem. Forget the big chain places nearby. Service is amazing and welcoming to all. Only down side would be some of their sides. Not horrible put need a little fleshing up. But, other wise there is no where else I would say go to get some great BBQ

I've lived in Clermont for about seven years now and I'm astonished that I'm just now discovering this wonderful place! I've only done take out for me and my boyfriend one other time but the girl who answered the phone was great and the menu online provided me with a lot of options! I ended up ordering the pulled pork plate that came with two sides for me and the four rib plate with two sides for my boyfriend with a side of spicy bbq sauce for us both. We ate it while we were having our movie marathon and were STUFFED! We even had leftovers for dinner and it was still really yummy! The mac n cheese is really cheesy and the noodles were nice and soft and the french fries were crisp but a little soggy (which makes sense, it's sitting in a box collection heat lol) but i like mine like that :) There was just so much flavor in everything and it was just great! I just made another order not even ten minutes ago and I am so excited to pick it up. It really is a diamond in the rough!

Ate lunch yesterday with family - I had 4 ribs and the baked beans and toast and was stuffed. We have recently moved to Pearland Texas, home of Central Texas Barbeque, so the standard was high for Uncle Kenny's. He met our expectations. We will return on our next visit got more GOODNESS.

I never went to their old location on 50 in Winter Garden, this review is for their new location in Clermont near the Citrus tower. This place is phenomenal. I have had chicken, pulled pork, beans, okra, potato salad, and all of their sauces. They knock it out of the park on all of it. This is the best barbecue I have had since moving to central Florida. I am a Tennessee boy and a barbecue snob, and I've been aching for some barbecue like Kenny's. The pork has some spices cooked into it and is entirely edible without sauce on it. We asked if they would chop up some chicken for us as they don't have pulled chicken, and they were happy to do that for us. I preferred the pork, but the chicken had some excellent flavor as well. The sides went nicely with the meat, and the sauce was absolutely perfect. Their standard sauce was good enough, but when I threw some of their spicy in the mix, it put it over the top. It has plenty of kick but not so much that it detracts from the flavor. We ordered a bunch of food to go with football on Saturday morning right after they opened, and it was all fresh and amazing. I'll be hitting this place up again. In fact, I haven't planned dinner for tonight yet, and I'm getting a BBQ craving now...

I was in Florida and had a taste for barbecue. After seeing the 4 and 5 star reviews on here I made the 25 mile trip from my motel at I4 and US27. The ribs and pulled pork were worth the trip. Wait staff provided numerous refils and were attentive. If you hace a taste for barbecue and are in the area rthis is your place.

Ordered takeout and we are now fans! Yum! The meat was so tender and flavorful! Fall off the bone tender! Potato salad was just ok, not anything to write home about but the mac n cheese had good flavor and was cooked just right. The best part though were the meats. We each ordered something different and not one complaint from this house. We all tried the original bbq sauce which added the perfect touch to the meats. We will be back!!

Wow - best BBQ around! We tried it a few months ago and are hooked. The ribs the just fall apart, and they are so tender I accidentally bit off some of the bone thinking it was gristle (it's cooked so long the bones are soft!). When I saw on the menu the platter only had 4 ribs I thought that wasn't much, but these are honking huge, meaty ribs. The Pulled Pork and Brisket are awesome too. They have a great selection of sauces - vinegar based, mustard, regular, and hot (not hot enough for me though). I'm not a big Vinegar or Mustard based BBQ sauce guy, but what they make tastes great. The help is overly friendly - you'll never have to wait for a refill of your drink (they're constantly checking). OH, and the deserts are DELICIOUS! You must try the peanut-butter pie (or the key lime).

My wife is a constant yelp reader. She has a nack for finding these hidden jewels. After visiting lakeridge winery we traveled the ten minutes to this little hole. The atmosphere was exactly what I expected. A small smokey little BBQ place. The walls are lined with trophies boasting the accomplishments of the owner. Literally the best BBQ I have ever eaten. I actually let Diane our super friendly upbeat server choose my order. I said "if you were only gonna eat here once in your life what would you order?" She promptly recommended pulled pork egg rolls (to die for) and a plate of chopped brisket and ribs. It was easy to see why this BBQ is award winning. I tried every one of their sauces all of which we're great and three were award winning. Upon leaving I purchased a large bottle of their mustard BBQ sauce. I have never tasted anything like it. Sure it's not the classiest most refined place I've ever been. But it was perfect. If I ever have the opportunity to stop here again I definitely will. Hey Dianne I told you I'd yelp it!!!!!!!!! Hahahahah. Ignore the prudes giving this place one or two stars. They obviously don't appreciate character. One issue and it's not their fault. They cannot serve alcohol because of their proximity to a church. It's a Florida thing. However I recommend stopping at the winery and bringing your own.

Wow! My husband and I had the pull pork egg rolls for an appetizer, they were out of this world goodness..lol, the waitress recommended we try them and we are certainly happy we did, I'll be coming back just to get a order or two of them alone. The ribs and greens were also very, very, very tender and tasty. The service staff was really on the ball and met our every need...We highly recommend this food establishment, and that something we don't do on a regular basis:-)

Pretty good BBQ. The staff really takes the cake though. Everytime I go there the waitresses are super friendly and always coming around. The BBQ is comparable to most of the good BBQ places in central florida. I'm not a big fan of the sauces but the turkey and brisket is usually moist enough to where you don't need much. It is easily the best BBQ in Clermont and probably top 3 for Orlando area. Pricewise it's hard to beat!

Love me some good bbq! Ribs r awesome! Fall off bone and best with their original bbq sauce! Service is a bit bad sometimes... Some of waitresses r not really nice.

I too, am dumbfounded by all the good reviews. This was the most disgusting meal ive ever paid for. The server was very sweet, brought us a glass of water that smelled like a sewer, so I asked for a coke, not realizing the coke comes out of a box that mixes the stinky water? Gross! Got a chicken leg basket. The meat was all tendons, stringy, tough and cold to boot. The fries looked like frozen crinkle cut from the store, also cold, and it was topped off with a limp slice of white bread. My husbnd got the pork sandwich, cold and limp, and skimped on the meat on a huge white bun. Then the owner came over but, I didnt see the point inraising a fuss, and he went on and on about how his food speaks for itself. It said to me, " go home and throw up"!

OMG! Delish! We were out for a fun day of wine tasting and then swung by the citrus tower in Clermont and in the same parking lot, like a sign from above, there was Uncle Kenny's BBQ just waiting for us. We ordered the rib basket and also started off with the BBQ version of an egg roll. Don't be scared, the egg roll was stuffed with pork and slaw and absolutely wonderful. The ribs were some of the tastiest I've had. Uncle Kenny makes his own sauces and also competes on a national level, with quite a nice ranking. He came out and talked to us about his food, himself and even brought us a taste of his melt-in-your-mouth brisket. On Tuesday's they have beef ribs too! I wish Uncle Kenny's was a little bit closer to us, but we'll certainly be making the drive. It's so worth it. And hey, Uncle Kenny, some cold beers would go great with the BBQ - we'll be keeping an eye out for that ;) He's also got plans to expand and add some new equipment - especially so he can cook up some collard greens to go with that bbq. On a side note, we were actually going to head to 4rivers until we saw Uncle Kenny's and we were so happy we stopped. This is the real deal, bbq at it's finest

Good bbq. I had the 3-meat plate with pulled pork, chopped brisket, and sausage and was full! Multiple sauces to choose from. No beer :(

The food is pretty good here, though still not as good as 4 Rivers. They have BBQ tacos, which I tried. They were good but there was barely enough meat in the soft taco shell. There was actually more cole slaw. For the price paid, you would expect more meat so that was a disappointment. Server a bit flippant but not rude. There are several choices for BBQ in the area and I'd go here more frequently if the food wasn't over priced.

A delicious variety of smoked meats with unique and amazing BBQ sauces to go with it. Complete meals with southern sides and sweet tea. Casual atmosphere, great for the whole family.

The food, drink and staff working at Uncle Kenny's are all great. We had very good friendly service and they didn't rush us through our dinner. The food came out nice and hot and tasted as good as the best BBQ restaurants I've ever had. I used a Living Social deal by Amazon Local to check out this restaurant. The waitress handled the coupon without any issues. I only negative issue that I have with this and some of the other BBQ places is that I don't much care to eat and drink from styrofoam plates and cups and plasticwear. I understand the value to the restuarant, but it cheapens the experience for me.

Went to Clermont from Tampa to see Hall of Presidents, miniature White House, and the Citrus Tower and was not overly impressed. However, was overwhelmed with Uncle Kenny's BBQ restaurant behind the tower! It was absolutely the best BBQ we've had in a long, long time! Everything was just perfect! Highly recommend this place!!! :-)))

Awesome restaurant- good food, polite staff and good prices. I love the pulled pork sandwich and homemade chips. I convinced my boyfriend to try this place instead of Sunnys when we were craving BBQ and now we eat here all the time.

Bought a Groupon to try the BBQ. We are from Tennessee and honestly cannot find decent BBQ anywhere. NO LONGER TRUE! Super tender and delicious ribs and pork BBQ - didn't even want to try thesauce - the meat was THAT GOOD! The sauce added to the flavor...but you just don't need it! We had sides of fried okra, potato "chips", collards & cole slaw. Slaw was okay, but the stand out was the potato chips - perfectly fried along with the okra. Very, very tasty! Service is wonderful - it's nice to see all the waitresses helping at every table. Always checking to make sure you have enough to drink and if you need anything else. And dog-gone it - we were too full to try the desserts. We will definitely return!

This place is a gem! I diamond in the rough! We are only here on vacation for a couple of days, but we will make it a point to return. The food was amazing, well priced, and the service...well the service made you feel as if you were just one of the family.

I ate here twice a week for about 6 months. Best for Beef Brisket (get it chopped), and pulled pork. Baked beans are the best I've ever had, but a little sweet. Skip the peach cobbler, cracker barrel wins this fight hands down. Sauces are epic, all of them. Relatively consistent, I think a little more focus should be paid to this. The sweet tea is literally effing disgusting, it is sugar with some brown water. I am southern, bbq is my fav. I've had it in TN, KY, FL, and TX and I have never had Sweet Tea more disgusting. To gauge my taste for comparison, typically Sonny's BBQ, Cracker Barrel, and Waffle House have good tea (in that order), the latter two air on the sweet side from time to time. Hours are kind of stingy - do you want to serve food or not?

Went there for lunch today with a Groupon. (Oddly, I had to pay sales tax when I ordered.) Got the pork sandwich, coleslaw and a drink. The pork sandwich was excellent. The coleslaw not so much. I agree with other reviewer - it was mushy. I'd have given this a 4 stars had the lady behind the counter exuded one iota of customer service. She came across as hostile. No "thank you", no smile, and not friendly at all. I was planning on buying an iced tea refill (free refills ONLY for large drinks) but I really didn't feel like dealing with her again. I'll probably go back because I love bbq, the pork really was good and their prices are good. If I get the same service next time, however, it will be the last. There are 3 other good BBQ places in town that have good food and great service. I'm hoping Uncle Kenny's recognizes this and steps it up.

My husband and I were initially drawn into Uncle Kenny's when driving down RT 50 and we could see what looked like 100 trophies lining the walls!!! We new then that we had to try Uncle Kenny's BBQ! Since that day, we've been hooked. We've continued to explore all the other establishments that sell BBQ but NONE compare to the flavor of Uncle Kenny's. He also removes all the discusting fat and grizzle you find at other establishments. The baked beans are some of the best, I've ever had! They've since moved to the Citrus Tower complex in Clermont. The waitresses work VERY HARD to make sure you have the best experience possible. I love the laid back atmosphere and their family pictures that are part of every table! And did you see what the tables were constructed from? Cool! In addressing another critique's opinion of having her dinner severed on paper plates...IT'S BBQ for heavens sake!!! We love their pulled pork, BBQ chicken, Smoked Sausage, Prime Rib (Thursdays) and Ribs! Everything is always slowly cooked so it's some of the most tender meat you'll ever enjoy! To address the neg comments I've read...it's the exception and NOT the norm! You don't receive all the trophies without working hard to earn them. And there are A LOT! ENJOY!

Awesome food, fresh okra too! The service was great, even from the "woman in the hat", Kenny's wife! The sausage plate was killer. Be sure to use the Carolina style sauce with the sausage. Great flavor combo. Also got to taste the new vinegar based sauce. Very interesting as it is a sweet style vinegar sauce. Unusual, but very tasty. Will go back whenever I am in Clermont again.

Unfortunately, I made two visits today with only one stop - My first & last at Uncle Kenny's BBQ! I can roll with the toothless serving staff (it IS Winter Garden after all) in a dingy little building that the BBQ place shares with a Maryland Fried Chicken store . . . But not the poor service nor the lack of service amenities. The place only has 6-7 small tables, is it really necessary for the toothless lady to yell out "ORDER NUMBER BLAH BLAH" when we are the only order waiting. Really? Ordered a combo Brisket & Rib plate with choice of two sides (baked beans & coleslaw) and comes with two slices of white bread - with iced tea - $17 & change. In almost 50 years of BBQ eating I've never had BBQ Brisket served up in a shredded pile (ala' pulled pork.) Most BBQ houses would classify this pile of meat as "chopped BBQ Brisket" - And it would have been fine if I had ordered a "chopped" plate! Not bad Brisket, but would very much prefer 2-3 slices BBQ Brisket over a chopped pile of stringy meat. Those two slices of bread came in handy to make a improvised chopped beef sandwich . . . Not a bad chopped sandwich. The ribs were serviceable (4 ribs on a combo plate) though nothing overly special. I fully realize that good BBQ isn't "cooked to order" but it was obvious that these poor bones had been laying around for quite a while - Just short of officially tasting "old". The rib rub was flavorful and they were appropriately smokey & tender, just not fresh. The sides - Beans are utilitarian canned pork & beans with a little shredded BBQ pork stirred in. Why does most everyone use canned beans for their sides? Is it really THAT difficult to make a couple of pots of beans in the course of a week? Coleslaw (or the mayonnaise glob mash they call coleslaw) is virtually inedible. Don't get me wrong, I prefer a mayo slaw over a vinegar slaw any day - But this is truly a mushy-mayo mess! Quite literally NO texture, there is really no better term than a "Mushy Mayo Mess" for this little cup of cabbage nastiness. To make matters even worse, the only eating utensil offered is a "Spork" . . . Really? Dropped almost $20 bucks per person for a sit down meal and the best you can do is a Spork? REALLY??? Hint - It is only a couple pennies more to get the 3-piece cello wrapped plastic-ware. Heck, you can even get them with a wet-nap too! (Since no customer restrooms or wet-naps seemed to be available after the hands-on eating of BBQ ribs.) As a side note, there were a couple of older gentlemen sitting at table (at least one of which who work there in some capacity since wore a logo'd cap and kept going behind the counter) who found it necessary to make fun of and toss jokes at a rather tall customer waiting on his order. It became quite clear the tall customer had heard all of their "tall jokes" before and was becoming quite perturbed at their incessant one-sided banter. Finally, it seems the tall gentleman had taken enough of their unoriginal quips and went outside to wait while his partner waited at the counter to pick up their order. Not professional at all. I really do try to "eat local" and help out smaller restauranteurs by dining at small out of the way places fairly regularly - And am often rewarded handsomely by finding new taste treats to share with others. Best advice for those friends thinking stopping by Uncle Kenny's is to drive on by . . . There's another place just down the street for a better all around BBQ fix.

These guys delivered some tasty wings to my aunt's wedding. I've only had the wings which were well cooked and had some tasty sauces. The reason for my review is how nice they were when they dropped off the wings! Not only did they not complain that they had to wait a few minutes while we found the key but when he heard us trying to find out who could go get ice he offered to go back to the restaurant and bring us back some ice which is exactly what he did. Saved the day!

Such amazing BBQ!!! Me and my hubby love this place! Their pork egg rolls are out of this world! The beans and okra are fabulous too! Pulled pork to me is their best meat so good and the sauces are perfect to compliment the meal:) My hubby enjoys their beef brisket and sausage plate. Nothing but yumms here this place is finger licking good:)

Great pork BBQ sandwich . Hubby had 3 meat plate w ribs, pork, and sausage. Fries are crispy and salty. Beans not too sweet. The service is outstanding. Really nice people you want see do well. * Update* We reheated the left over ribs and they were still awesome! Slide off the bone with a nice crispy bark.

update- we have been back several times. My Georgia born husband loooves the sweet tea there, and the wings were a part of our recent (casual) wedding- EVERYONE went back for seconds and thirds on the wings! Kenny even whipped up a batch of special semi-sweet/ semi-spicy "polynesian" wings that everyone loved. His service for the wedding was 110% fantastic- he even got us extra ice from his restaurant. Don't be swayed by the iffy reviews- we wowed a crowd with his BBQ and are fans for life:)

Uncle Kenny is doing a great job. Some of the best melt off the bone ribs I have ever had. I had the 2 meat plate with smoked sausage and ribs. Really great well done BBQ. Now that Kenny is there full time the quality of food is A+ and the staff is on their toes. Check this place out. It can be a little tough to find your first time but don't give up. It is right at the base of the Citrus Tower facing Publix Do yourself a favor and order the BBQ egg-roll as an appetizer. I promise you will not be disappointed. My wife and I like to split an egg-roll and a 2 meat plate. More than enough food for two.

I would be more inclined to give 3 1/2 stars, but that option doesn't exist, and 3 stars is too low. The brisket is far better than the majority of the brisket in Florida (closer to TX level, which is a good thing). The potato salad, cole slaw, and baked beans are all pretty good as well. The price is a bit on the high side for the amount of brisket that you get ($9.99 for just 6 ounces), and the sides are in tiny containers. If you want to take it to go, you are penalized by getting charged for the barbecue sauce that you would have used for free if eating in, which really makes no sense. I do like that you have a card you can fill out to earn a free meal. If you check my reviews, there is a place with better brisket and larger sides for cheaper if you're willing to make a little drive down I-4. However, since this one is much closer to my house, I will be more of a fixture at this one.
