This place was excellent. Great authentic Thai food. Coming from NYC there are many Thai Restaurants which met our standards but this place was BETTER than those in NY! The owner was incredibly welcoming... Just awesome. Cashew lovers was delishhh and Pad Thai minus the canned corn mentioned in a previous review was absolutely theeeee best we've ever had. Just moved to Clermont not too long ago and we plan on visiting again and again and again! Price was definitely pocket friendly. Do not come in a rush good food takes time! The owners take pride in their dishes! As long as its good I'm game! And that it was!

If I could add a 6th star to give this place I would! Thai and friends, is not just a Thai restaurant, its like an exclusive Thai club. Make a reservation unless you have been there before. This is a mom and pop place the husband (Otto) is the front and his wife does all of the cooking in the back. She makes everything from scratch and the ingredients are fresh. Once you are in though, you are in Otto will never forget you and you will be welcomed back time and time again, even if you forget to make a reservation. Please don't be deterred by the less than desirable motel they are located in the food here is top notch, the best thai food in this area hands down. Going with children or picky eaters? Don't worry there are a few western style dishes on the menu for as well. Do allow yourself a few hours for a dining experience here, this is not a quick in and out place. I promise you won't regret it.

I have to provide an update on my review of Thai and Friends. Otto is such a host and the food is so good that he deserves a five star rating. The name says it all. great Thai food "the best in the area, hands down", affordable priced, and you will make a friend. He remembers every guest, is very thoughtful, the perfect host. If you have not been here, do yourself and your tastebuds a flavor, I mean favor :) and try it. You will be back.

Dont get me wrong, I like canned corn as much as the next gal... I just don't like it in my Pad Thai. But that's pretty much the quality you are looking at here. The owners nice but service is SLOW and the food consistently is worse every time I come here. Keep on driving...
