This restaurant is amazing in terms of food quality, service, location, & prices!! I've been coming here for a long time now & I have never experienced any problems at this Sonny's. The servers have always been excellent, efficient, kind, and very attentive. I have never waited to be seated when I visited this restaurant and this also included early evenings. This is such a rare experience to encounter now days with such a high demand on dining out. The hostess was friendly & greeted us in a friendly manner. I always enjoy getting the ribs because you get a lot of great flavor from them. The beans are great too!! I would highly recommend this place for a great tasty BBQ restaurant at a great price with terrific quality.

A great place for some good 'ole bar b que. You can get it chopped, sliced, or pulled. It comes in beef and pork and chicken. They have a wide variety of house sauces, as well. Also, the salad bar is not too shabby. When ordering sweet tea/soda they will put it in a HUGE glass.......be sure to ask for a to go cup! We also love their fried okra appetizer. The only down side to this restaurant is the atmosphere is bland. There is not a whole lot to see.

Never been to Sonny's before and so my family and I decided to try it out. First impression was not good because we waited at the hostess stand for more than 2 minutes before I had to go look for someone to seat us. Once we were finally seated, we waited again and I thought to myself, this is gonna go bad. But our waitress changed it around, apologized for the wait and the food was actually good. I may go back..haven't decided yet. I would hate to go on a busy day because we might not get seated or waited on at all

This place has decent food, as most Sonny's restaurants often do, but the service is absolutely atrocious. God help you if they are even slightly busy, because you'll be ignored for a good period of time and you will not see your food for at least 45 minutes. The last, and final, time we went here, we walked out. There is much better BBQ in the Clermont area, then to subject yourself to mediocre food and bad service.

This is why i don't like going to chain restaurants... After an incredible morning of being outside, some people running 8 mile obstacle course races in Clermont, some people day drinking on sunday funday, all we wanted to do was to nosh on some BBQ. We were tired, and thought that coming here would save us time instead of waiting the lines of good old 4Rivers.... WE WERE SO WRONG! What's worse than a chain restaurant BBQ joint. One who has a slow server, messes up your checks, forgets your food items, doesn't apologize for errors... and the list goes on. And the worse part is, this happened the last time I was here...smh. The food is obviously generic, but still tasty. I like the corn nuggets and the bbq sauces can make up for the mediocre meat options. Welp, yelp.... lesson learned. I'd rather wait the lines at other BBQ joints in my muddy, stinky, beer-soaked clothes instead of wasting another afternoon here. I'm being generous with a 2 star here...

I called ahead and placed an order but still had to wait 30 minutes once arriving for it to be ready. The staff was incredibly rude, specifically Marion who disappeared for awhile and returned with food in her mouth to rub my credit card. They appear to not be managed well as many people were entering without being greeted and complaining as well.

I'm from Kansas City, Mo I always have to state that cause I was raised on the world's best bbq. I figured this was another typical chain bbq and the food would be ho-hum and unassuming. I was wrong, and for my meal deal I got, it stuffed me up as well! I can never beat that! I got the Pork Three way. All of the meets were juicy, well proportioned, tasty and hot. Nothing was blow my world better than Kansas City BBQ style, but all of it tasted great, had good flavor, and screamed, we know what we are doing when it comes to the Que. Was going to give it 5 stars, but have to realize only a few bbq joints across the US truly deserve the 5 star rating, so I will give this chain bbq in Florida a 4. Great job.

The worst Sonny's I've ever experienced. We waited at least 30 minutes for them to cook a burger. When it came, it was rare, and not the well-done I ordered. The service is extremely slow and the management is incompetent and inexperienced. Before we even got our food, a family of six came in, ordered, ate their food, and left. How embarrassing!

I really didn't like this place, my husband liked it better then I did, the meat was overcooked, sauces bland and boring. There are much better choices than this place. Bleck.

Every time I have been here the food has been amazing! The salad bar is always fresh, and the food is always hot and delicious! Not all Sonnys have been that great, but if you are in the area you can definitely trust this will be good. We had pulled pork and ribs today and they did not disappoint. The only disappointment was we filled up on salad from the salad bar and didn't have a lot of. Room left for the meat! :)

Sonny's is a huge chain in the south, and I just had to try it once. We tried the brisket and the chicken. The meat was moist and tender, but didn't have the smoky flavor that you expect. We opted for the garlic bread on our sandwiches. It's different, but not something you'd go back for. The fries were hot and crispy, but the baked beans were ordinary. The sauces on the table were also unremarkable. It must be because it is a chain, so in the name of consistency there just isn't that flavor in the food that you come to expect from BBQ. But there's nothing bad here, just ordinary. Our server was very friendly and quick. The place was clean. I think i would go back here, or to a Sonny's, if I didn't have any other choices, or wanted a change of pace. But it wouldn't be my first choice.

This used to be one of our favorite Sonny's, but the quality of the food has plummeted over the last few months as to be inedible now. The staff is very good still but the kitchen and management have ruined the experience. They have even switched to no name ketchup, ugh.

This is the worst experience I have ever had at Sunny's it was a Friday night so I can understand a wait for food but it took 45 minutes once we ordered for our food to arrive and the fries were ice cold. My husband ordered all you can eat ribs so when the food came he re-ordered and it took almost 20 minutes to come out.... When he told the server he didn't want it anymore the manager came and blamed it on being a Friday night, yet I herd the table beside us have 3 re-orders while we were waiting and this was in addition to our drinks being empty! I will never go here again or recommend to anyone.... Bad service and bad management!

I went to Sonny's on a Monday which I read online was "kids eat free". It was just me and my two young children and we went in for lunch. I was quickly greeted by an extremely charismatic and kind gentleman named Rashaud (spelling?). I ordered a sandwich and my children split a kids meal. The food was good, but Rashaud made my visit extremely enjoyable. He offered to water down my children's apple juice after hearing me tell them that I didn't want them to have that much sugar. He made jokes with us and talked us through the menu. He was extremely quick and although he had a large section, he was on top of all of his tables. My check was under $10 and he still made us feel extremely important and welcomed. I will definitely be going back. Management, keep this guy around, he's a star. :)

I ate at the Clermont site. Ordered grilled chicken with steamed broccoli and green beans. The vegetables came out piping hot and the chicken was ice cold with grill marks seared on the sides. I asked the waitperson if it was customary for the chicken to be served that way. She said "no" and had the manager come over. She had no response to my question and offered to comp the price of the chicken. It was the worst meal I have ever eaten and I have traveled all over the world in my 70 years on this earth. Needless to say I will never be back and never recommend this place.

Meh. It's a Sonny's. Expect very sweet BBQ sauce and well smoked meat. The salad bar is a joke, all canned stuff and a pile of iceberg lettuce. Sometimes the soups are great, sometimes they are mop bucket water. One word of caution: It's about 20 degrees colder in Sonny's than any other restaurant, any time of the year. Bring a sweater. In the summer I have to put on wool socks to be able to stand it long enough to eat my meal. I guess they don't want you to dawdle over your meal.

The food and service were excellent, until we discovered chewing gum on the plate! How disgusting is that? The manager refused to remove the tainted dinner from the bill so we explained that we would walk out on the entire bill unless he adjusted it. Only then did he give in - tacky - in so many ways. We will not be back.
