Ate here tonight for the first time after rave reviews from friends. Very friendly staff. The chef, Petro, came out to the patio where we were eating and enjoying the fantastic view of the lake. He explained some of the dishes. Ordered eggplant Nona. It was delicious but was not served with angel hair pasta as requested. Pasta with Vodka sauce was superb. Ribeye steaks were not done as ordered but were very tasty. Requested a menu or card from waitress which was never received. All in all, a pleasant experience and will definitely recommend this restaurant and eat here again.

We had hoped for a good Italian restaurant, as we had heard from a few people that this what we would find. Unfortunately, we didn't. There were five us at the table, and not one of us has a reason to return-ever. I ordered the artichoke appetizer. The giant grayish bowl of bread crumbs was almost indelible. (Honestly tasted like Pepperidge Farm stuffing, stuffed.) By the time I scraped the stuffing away to get to the heart of the matter, I had lost any interest in eating it. It was about as far from anything I had eaten in Italy could possibly be. Now, the chef did tell us this was Sicilian food. Somehow seeming to warn us that there was something unusual about it. Lousy food is lousy food, it doesn't matter where it is supposed to originate. On to the main courses. I don't think the pasta water had been salted, and the dishes were primarily under seasoned. I had the swordfish special. It was, if hard little squares of over cooked fish and shellfish can be special. The others at the table each had a different dish, all of them disappointing and pretty tasteless. The salad was served with way too much dressing, and the mayonnaise-y glop tasted more like a Thousand Island type than anything an Italian would use. Even in Sicily. And then there were pretzel rolls. Really? Service was as poor as the food.

The best Italian food in the Orlando area! With the owner as the head cook and if you are lucky Peter leaves the kitchen and sings his opera specials ! Peters lovely wife Dr Graziella is the host who keeps things moving. My scallops were fantastic, the view over Lake Minniolla amazing, the service and entertainment , special! A night at Graziell's priceless!

Based on these reviews we had hoped for a delicious Italian meal. No aspect of the meal was enjoyable. It seemed like most of the patrons and staff knew each other so we definitely felt like an afterthought to the staff. We were seated at what felt like a folding outdoor table. Our main dishes tasted like a minimally seasoned frozen dinner. The sauce definitely tasted like Ragu! Very disappointing and overpriced.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
