I'm only giving it a two stars because they do have good wings. I ordered the cob salad and it was gross. My lettuce was wilted and some of it was black. The avocado was brown and bitter. My daughter has to eat gluten free and we informed them of that. She ordered chicken and mixed vegetables with a salad. She got chicken and broccoli ( the other choice) and they brought out her salad with croutons. After speaking with the Manager he has spoken to his staff to fix the problems that arose. Well the manager promised to send something in the mail but of course it was never received.

Great food! Never a let down! We've been to Gators too many times to count and each time the service has been great. We love Bingo night on Wednesdays but rarely get to make it anymore. A great chance to score free food and have fun! The food is always good. We usually order the Onion Petals for an appetizer and they have some nice cajun sauce for dipping! Buffalo Chicken Sandwich, Monte Crisco, and a bowl of Chili for our entrees. I highly recommend all of the above with a side of their seaside fries(?) if they still have them. We eat at Gators Dockside quite frequently and have visited many other locations such as Gainesville, The Villages, & Dr. Philips. We're trying to visit them all as each Gators has a slightly different atmosphere & menu!

Went for lunch on Monday, party of 9. We were the only customers in the place. Took over an hour to get the food. Wings were very tasty but cold. Fries were also cold. I guess the cook can't handle big parties. I wouldn't recommend it if you want to eat. After we ate we walked around a little as we were heading to our car the manager came out to ask about our review. He asked us to come back so they could make it up to us. We talked a lil bit, we will be back to give them another chance. As I said before the wings were very good.

Food was great sports bar food. The nachos were really good! All you can eat wings are worth the crowd! It's a chain so you know what to expect when you dine here.

Wings are pretty good and fried pickles are the best. They use thick cut pickles so you get a lot and it's crunchy and juicy. Atmosphere is homey and staff are friendly. Beer selection is good.

This was my first time to this location. I didn't realize how huge this place is! It doesn't look that big from the outside. Tons of seating! When we came, it was right after work and was practically empty. We all ordered different kinds of wings. Some of my co-workers got the all you can eat wings. I would have, but I don't think I could eat $12 worth of wings. lol I got 10 boneless wings instead. I was full afterwards and it cost less than $6. We also had shots of tequila after a rough day. Sometimes I forget that you have to spell everything out and asked for it chilled. Warm tequila is not the way to go. Price was ok at $4.50 a shot. If you're in the mood for wings, head here. There are a few tvs with sports on, but it's not overwhelming.

Was there twice this week: both times I got my favoited grilled Sweet Thai Chili Hot wings. Each time was spot on. Can't go wrong with any Gator's wings around Central Florida. My husband opted for a new flavor: Cajun. He really liked it. It's one of our go-to places if we are near one. Service was consistent both times.

Had a terrible experience here last night. Waitress must have been new because she messed up 3 of the 4 order's placed. Never asked what toppings I wanted on my hamburger nor did she ask me how rare I wanted it. The sauce that came with the gator bits was honey mustard sauce...not impressed. Will not return!

This spot is a great family oriented sports bar. I ordered the gator tail which was perfectly fried, light, and golden. Quick tip: add hot sauce to the honey-mustard sauce that comes with the dish. You won't be disappointed. I also had loaded fries that were pretty good, slightly better then Alehouse's loaded fries. Plus 10 wings - 5 Gator's Scooter Sauce and 5 Sweet Thai Chili, I didn't eat all this on my own I did have some help. The Sweet Thai Chili was good, but I wanted it to have some kick to it. Gator's Scooter Sauce also had great flavor but was also missing that spiciness. So if you don't like heat with your wings they are perfect. So if you want some good food, polite service, and your sports on the tv. Drop by this Gator's location.

The food was good, but the wait was ridiculously long. About an hour after placing our order the food came. Sad for only some wings and a sandwich. To tip it all off, only 5 tables were being used in the whole place. The local news just did a segment on the top ten dirtiest places to eat and this made the list. We won't be back. :(

Gators Dockside is your typical sports bar, wings and burgers joint. My other half and I like to go here when we want fried food. They have good drink specials, pool, all the games on their tvs and on Mondays they have all you can eat wings. They are definitely not a fancy place but their food is always consistent, their sauces are really good and the staff is always friendly. It's also huge so there's always seats available. The only thing I hate is that 9/10 that I've gone there it's been freezing! Like need a jacket just to stop shaking freezing.

Slow and inattentive staff. Food was decent and the all you can eat wings for $11.99 great deal if they actually come by your table to ask if you want more. Then they take 15 minutes to come out. Good place to have a beer at the bar other wise I would eat at one of the other 100 chains around here

This is my place to go for wings. They have the best wings in the area and I've tried a few other things that were good too. They do a bingo night and often put ppv ufc fights on for free when other places charge money to come watch the fight. Usually a good amount of seats available but there are always at least a couple drunk people in there when I come in to eat.

Took advantage of all you can eat wings Monday and although we got there early and the restaurant was not busy at all, it is worth noting that the service was top notch. We might have been our server's only table and she sure did treat us like we were. Nothing bothers me more than less than great service in an empty restaurant. Wings came out quickly and often. They were perfectly cooked and seasoned every time, we ordered a variety of different flavors and enjoyed them all. We live very close to this Gators location and will be back to put them to the test on a busier night.

So we were in the Clermont area on a Sunday, and decided to try out Frank and Burger, but alas, it was closed. No problem, there is a Gators right across the street...cool I am a fan of Gators in general...but definitely not this one... Cons: Out of gator Out of Bud Select No specials on the weekend Suicide wings were not hot Looong wait for food even though we were the only patrons Pros: Waitress was very nice Food was decent The highlight of my trip was ordering 10 wings and and then getting a pitcher of beer for $5 (due to the sign hanging in front of me advertising this). Well, I got my bill and the pitcher was $6. Not a big deal, I told the waitress and she adjusted it. I then see the manager taking down all the signs that said $5 pitcher of beer...priceless.

We had a group of 20 (9 adults and 11 kids) eat here on a Thursday evening. The service was great and the staff was friendly. For appetizers, some of us had the gator bites...which were great. The wings were good too...though they are not quite as spicy as you would expect...so if you like spicy, go up a level from what you would normally order. The dinners were also good. The food portions were pretty large. The ribs were good, as was the shrimp dinner. The kids menu had a decent amount of choices and came with a drink and Popsicle for dessert...all for about $5. I would definitely stop here again when back to Florida.

I think they are trying to do too much. It wasn't bad but it wasn't great. The wings were cooked very well. But the southwest chicken salad and the ahi tuna were bland. Still recommend if you are looking for typical bar food.

Every time we go the food is either really good or really bad. The manager is really nice, he seems to remember us every time we come in. But we did get our food quickly so that was nice. The fried shrimp for a little too fried, and the fries were a little soggy. The waitress was a little slow.

Living at Cagan there really aren't a whole lot of options if you want to go out and have a few drinks. Gators just plain sucks the bartenders with the exception of Chelsea are rude and service is awful. They make you feel unwanted by putting the chairs up hours before they actually close and it's impossible to get a decent drink that's not completely watered down. The owner needs to come revamp this franchise and get new management! The head manager micro manages the girls to the point customers feel uncomfortable. I think the kitchen is well run, the foods consistently decent but after 8pm it's very clear that they don't wanna be there and I'm sure the numbers prove that.. Its a good location they should take a good look at how hurricanes bar is run. I've been to this location over 30 Times always tipped the bartenders 20%, mind my own business and still get treated ya like I'm inconveniencing them whenever i need anything. I give up will never step foot in that place again!!!

If your looking for frozen bar good without the good flavor. Come here. You def tell this place uses low quality products. This joint is always quiet. It's very large inside. But never gets a crowd. I guess it's because all the bigger better places finally opened on west 192. They have buy 1 lunch get one half price. I mean they can't even give the food away. I recommend don't waste our money here.

When I say don't expect to eat well, I mean the food was delicious, but don't waste too much time looking for lighter/healthier fare. Gators is a popular chain of Bar and Grill, and has a long list of menu items to chose from; including gator bites. The food is usually good quality and presented well, too. I had the pork chop dinner special, and for $8.99, 2 chops, mashed potatoes and gravy, and a large portion of broccoli, I was pleasantly surprised. Although my server was spread thin and wasn't there whenever I needed her, she did check up on me and everyone was very kind and kept busy with a smile. Gators has a family atmosphere as well and it got busy by the end of my visit, but the laid back feeling of the place, along with being large and open always help me feel at home. First couple of visits were great - food was fantastic and service was excellent. However, I have noticed that the last couple of times I went after the first, the portion sizes were dramatically reduced. It seems they have improved the last time I went, but who knows what will happen the next time I go. I would recommend this place for anyone who lives in the apartments nearby, is a sports fanatic, and just wants to experience their wings, beer, and watch a sports game, and doesn't want to travel any further outside the Cagan's Village to get it. Other than that, however, this place is sub-par.

Arrived after 9pm to find not many there so weekdays are a great time to avoid the crowds plus it was later. Place is pretty clean and we were sat pretty quick. Service was average as not really friendly, didn't stand out, but she came by to get us what we desired. The food was good and we enjoyed trying the different flavors of wings. Drink choices are limited for the waitress and the bar both didn't know how to make too many things as found they mainly push the beer. So four stars for the food and three stars for the service as it was just okay. We'll return and know this time just to ask for a beer.

Great service @ this location! iAlways go for Gators Dockside wings before iGo for Hooters! iThink it's because of the Scooter sauce! Also, the cup is chili is pretty awesome. And they offer mini shot glass size dessers! Delicious! :high5: Gators Dockside!

Sports bar with average food. Service was slow for only three tables of customers. Ribs were tough and didn't fall off the bones! Fries were good!

Not good, not bad. I had lunch so I'm not sure what there dinner is like. My server was fine but the food wasn't anything special. They have a lunch menu with specials, but the amount of food was small and it wasn't very special at all. For a quick beer and a bite to eat it does the job if you just need food, but I probably wouldn't come back if I was in the area. I could see the place being better at night as it's more of a sports bar type place where you can get wings. But for lunch, I'd say don't waste your time here.
