Coming from Queens, NY where this type of food could be found anywhere.. I was itching for Spanish food for some time and I found it here and it was only 20 mins away from where I live. The food was Great tasting and reasonably priced. I had the pernil con arroz blanco y habichuelas con maduro.. It was just what I needed. I'd definitely recommend checking out this hidden gem of Clermont if you're looking for authentic Spanish food.

Don't let the drab exterior fool you--there is deliciousness inside. The decor and dining area isn't much, but you don't come here for that. The place is spotless clean. The counter staff are sweet and patient while you try to figure out what you want when it's really one of everything. The food, incredibly good and fresh and perfectly seasoned. And the prices are very reasonable. We need more places like this in the world.

Great people and Good Puerto Rican Food but not traditionally seasoned/cooked cuban food. Owner was even compassionate towards a man that came in and was asking if he could work for food - he told him to come by the back and gave him food. Like I said good people. If you are looking for good home style puerto Rican food (ie, Arroz con gandules, pernil, etc) this is a very affordable place. I came here for cuban food and the black beans were not seasoned cuban style and the picadillo was too watery.

The best Spanish /Latin food in town! Delicious food that will fill you up! Great quantity. Excellent service! Good location with plenty of parking! Thank you. I've enjoyed the food for years now. Gracias.

Fabulous Spanish food. We haven't tried a single dish that wasn't delicious! The service is always fast. There is limited seating but the food is so good we don't care if we eat it there or take it home, as long as we eat it. :) Give them a try, you won't be disappointed.

Came here on a suggestion. I was disappointed they didn't have a media noche on their menu but the Cuban sandwich was very good. The portions they give are huge. I got sides of plantains and mofongo and both were delicious. The only real downside was this place was busy. It was after the typical lunch hour and it was still busy in there. I guess that's a good sign though that the place is doing well. Either way I have a new favorite cuban place for Clermont.

Hidden gem in Clermont. I am asian and they never give me a hard time communicating on what I want even tho sometimes I do get mistaken for being hispanic. I always get rice which is well seasoned, I get chicken quarters I think they either steam or roast this chicken because its always very tender and fall off the bone. They also have great pulled pork, Im a meat lover so I get everything meat, they also have plantains and yucas. This place gets packed at lunch because its so damn good. If you havent been here check it out!!!!

Couldn't have nicer words to say about this local Cuban shop - we try to get there as often as possible - affordable, awesome Cuban sandwiches, and love their cafe con leche bright and early on a Saturday morning. The best fast casual restaurant in clermont hands down - great job! Hope they stay open forever.

Five stars! Definitely! Recently moved to Clermont from California and just now ventured to try this place. SO GOOD! I was born and raised in Puerto Rico and coming to this place was like coming to my grandmas house! So flavorful and authentic! I had the Mofongo with Carne encebollada... Delicious!

Let me start off by saying I'm very critical when it comes to Latin food cause this is the food I know and cook. El Cerro definitely did not disappoint. The portions are huge, price is right and flavor is on point. Food took a little while but so worth it. I have the mofongo with carne encebollada and maduros...of course. Que delicioso!

I ordered chicken sautéed with onions, rice and beans, maduros, and a side of mofongo. My friend ordered pork carnitas, rice and beans, maduros, and mofongo. Despite the wait, because this ended up being made "to order", the food was delicious and generous portions. I even took some leftover home. Worth the drive for me... 40 minutes. Loved it!

First off, I am not very familiar with authentic Spanish food, nor do I speak Spanish (other than "college Spanish".. me llamo Niki). This place is awesome. It took a little brainpower to decipher the menu (it is a Spanish/English hybrid menu), but it's not too difficult to understand. I ended up ordering one of the Thursday specials of Chicharrones de Cerdo/Fried Pork with rice, vegetables, sweet plantains, and yuca. My brother got some sort of gizzard thing, which I definitely wanted no part of. It was also very affordable, I think it was $8.99 for my pork lunch special. Here is what I can say about this place: 1) My food was fantastic. I feel like this is what real Spanish food should taste like. 2) The people here were SO friendly. I'm always a little nervous when coming to a new place, but they made me feel welcome immediately with a "come on in honey!" as soon as I walked through the door. 3) The building is nothing special to look at, and the parking situation is "meh", but do not be deceived by the looks of this place, it is amazing!

Decent selection of food and you can't beat the price for the amount of food you get with the lunch specials

Went there for lunch, they had a big assortment of food behind glass and a good flow of customers. On the menu was dinner items ($10+), breakfast food, and a few lunch sandwiches so I asked about any lunch specials/deals and the like. I get a blank stare "whatever you want..." she says annoyed. Realizing that was all the help I was getting I ordered two sandwiches off the menu and when asked what do we want on them I asked what normally is on them. "Whatever you want" in the same annoyed voice she replies. However, when I asked for hot sauce on my sandwich I get a wide eyed response "YOU want hot sauce??" she asks then says "I put it on the side". I asked what side dishes are available (none are listed on the menu) she only says, "Fries?". I say fine. She walks away to the back room not saying anything else. We move down by the register to wait and after standing there a bit the woman working the register asks what we ordered. I tell her our order was a Cuban sandwich, a ham and cheese sandwich, and fries to go and pay her. Finally, 15 MINUTES LATER, after seeing lots of other orders come out of the kitchen and many people ordering/served the food from behind the glass we finally get our order. Walking out I grab a take-out menu and see they actually have daily lunch specials which is what was behind the glass. NOWHERE else is this mentioned (trust me, I had 15 minutes to try to figure it out). There was even a blank white board by the door as well where they could of posted it. The sandwiches were nothing great and definitely not worth the wait. The wife and I agreed leaving the attitude was definitely they could care less about customers. Never got any hot sauce either. We'll stick with Troy's Cuban Deli down the road - it's awesome food, they make their own hot sauce (which is actually hot), and they're friendly. We only tried this place because it's closer.

I never had Spanish food before so I decided to switch things up and try it for the first time. I have to say it was pretty darn good. Service was good she explain what everything is without being annoyed which is good. Will go back.

We've just come from Miami where we ate fabulous Cuban food and their selection and quality was as good as the best we ate in Miami. I had the ropa vieja, yellow rice and plantains. My husband had pork ribs and chicharrone which he said were awesome. The food is all prepared and behind the counter so you can see your options and pick what looks good to you. The setting is casual and the prices are reasonable. If you like Latin food you won't be disappointed.

Love this place, lunch special is a great deal for a lot of food! The tostones are amazing particularly smothered with mojo. My BF gained 30lbs eating there 3-4 times a week for about 6 months. Its that good. It's always quick, fresh, and delicious. The roast chicken a favorite as well as the empanadas.
