Color me unimpressed. After hearing all these wonderful things about Mike's, when I had to work late I called in a take-out order of eggplant parmesan (think it should be parmegiana--or however it is spelled but not parmesan). It was okay...neither spectacular or horrible. The caesar salad? Huge pieces of romaine lettuce...not close to bite size, with a bunch of canned parmesan thrown on top. Supposed to come with garlic knots but nada when I got back to office....my fault for not checking I suppose. Eggplant hard to find. Will probably try again but note to self...verify order is complete before leaving.

I like this place. Consistently good pizza at a fair price. Not a fancy place, but a good place to get a slice really quick ... NY style.

Had never heard of this place until my manager had some pizza delivered to our workplace. Decided to check out the restaurant with my son. You order at the counter and then find a table. When your food is ready, they call out what the food is instead of taking names or numbers. So could be confusing if someone else ordered same thing as you etc. Not sure how busy they get though for this to be an issue. Ordered a slice of pepperoni and 5 BBQ wings. Pizza is good- nice NY style with a good crust. Wings were a bit saucy but was very crispy the way we like them. Don't order the spaghetti. I for some reason ordered spaghetti and It was seriously lacking in flavor and kinda soupy. I ordered w/ meatballs and it came out with two small meatballs and lots of noodles. I ended up eating the meatballs and garlic knots that came w/ spaghetti and threw away most of the noodles. Side note- garlic knots were delicious. Would def order those again. Prices are on point. The guy at the counter was nice and kept my lasagna to go warm in the oven for us until we left. Which my husband ate all of and had nothing to say which means he liked it. Oh, and there's a bar next door which I think is attached to this place, but separate entrances. Will have to check that out next time.

It had been awhile since our office moved probably five years ago that we had ventured to Mike's for lunch. As we traveled from the new office, definitely farther away, reminisced about some of the times we had visited Mike's and starting introducing the new people to a place they had not been to yet on our lunch outings. I have to say that our verbal reputation did not disappoint. Everyone was very satisfied. Obviously, taking 7 to 8 people out to lunch can be a chore in seating and getting served. Mike's did not let us down. As we entered the timing was right, we were in and out of line in under 5 or so minutes. The layout of the place is a line to a counter with a menu overhead, followed by a drink station with the pickup point in between. The seating offered both long tables and booths with plenty of space to accommodate our group. Because of the line and the drink station at the front there is not a great deal of standing room except for maybe a to go order. Otherwise it is very comfortable. The crew behind the counter operated much like an industrious workshop. Once you placed your order the wheels started in motion with everyone doing their part to get you a wonderful lunch. And yes this is good place for a really hardy lunch. I ordered the baked ziti which was fresh and took a little bit longer (not too much longer) to get than my coworkers. It came with a couple of wonderful tasting garlic knots (rolls). The ziti was very good not over cooked with just enough firmness left that you knew you had a well prepared fresh noodle. The sauce was a very good consistency with of creamy tomato with a nice balance of spice. The cheese that it was baked with had a sharpness to the taste and was delightfully crispy in places. Definitely a place to try.

So I've been here a few times on my lunch hour and the pizza is pretty good, right... Today my husband brings me an eggplant parm ... I was just in the mood. Madddddonnnne this eggplant was soooooo good, yet soooooo bad. Fried to perfection, smothered in cheese. Never again - but if you're looking to experience heaven, order that! Oh mannnn.

Nice little deli/pizza/pub. Many craft beers on tap. Good pub food. Great service. Nice atmosphere! Moderately priced.

For $20 you get get a soup pizza.Make sure you have silverware because the crust is so soaked in wetness it's not eatable otherwise. Never again

Didn't even cook my toppings into my slices. Just threw them onto cheese slices and served them that way. Sparros is better pizza, and Sparros is by no means great pizza.

Just found out Mike's is open for breakfast!!!! This place is the best place around for food and beer. Bar tenders are the best. Staff is always friendly and they have a great owner who clearly cares about people and quality.

Biggest problem is they close at 9! Went to the taphouse side with 40 beers on draft--nice selection and friendly service. Pizzas were tasty and large. Calzone was good too. Clean, comfy and LOTS of new TVs for the game. Recommend!

Very tastey pizza! We order here usually on Friday's from work but today we decided we needed some pizza in our life on Thursday. We ordered and had it delivered and they estimated arrival at 12:15 and were here by 11:55am :) Over achievers!!! Pizza was hot, fresh and super tasty! I will definitely continue to order from here in the future~!

Ordered delivery and I received ice cold food as well as my co-workers. I ordered a side of garlic knots and it was like biting into s raw piece of garlic. Will never order here again.

The pizza was excellent. The restaurant looks like it is pursuing to be the future of pizza joints. The honey bbq ribs were lackluster, and the garlic knots could've been better. If you come for pizza though, you will not be let down.

Another place going downhill fast. We were there for pickup for the office the other day and saw them loading up their catering van to cater an event. Unfortunately the food wasn't even cooked onsite. Instead they were removing it from (the owners?) van and putting it in the delivery van. Definitely a health code violation! Food is never supposed to be cooked anywhere other then where licensed. Lucky for me, I opted out for lunch this day. Coworkers got italian subs, parm subs and a pizza. The italian sub , for a corkwers son, made him sick, literally, The pizza went half eaten, which really when delivered to a starving office full of people should be gone in 30 seconds. I won';t even mention the "breakfast pizza" coworkers tried before. Just plain nasty. So yes, the Bubba crowd hangs here, I guess that sums it up altogether. Don't makle me comment on the cleanliness!

Good calzones and pasta. Nothing fancy.

Been to Mike's a couple times, once for the pasta and last time for a salad. I'll be honest the pasta was below average in my opinion. Sauce was pretty bland, didnt really taste like much. Probably could have made a better ziti at home with Ragu, no joke. The salads on the other hand are pretty solid. No they're not some foo foo high class salads, but its alot of lettuce, a decent amount of chicken, about half a tomato, with some pasta salad and garlic knots on the side. Once your done eating them your full, and I'm not talking 100lb girl full. Im talking grown ass man full. For $7 id say its about fair. Overall Mike's is more of a spot you hit up if you work close by and like italian so much your willing to settle for mediocre italian. Luckily for Mike's there's plenty of ppl like that.

Ordered a basic pie with mushroom, pepperoni and cheese and was more than satisfied. I prefer a thin crust and this place delivers. They also do pizza by the slice, which is always an added bonus in this area. From what I hear, the owner is the nephew of the Mike's Pizza and Deli on 49th St. The place looks very quaint and cute and the outside patio area was a nice addition to the previous set-up. I'm definitely looking forward to warmer weather, having a beer and sharing pizza there with friends.

I am definitely coming back to try the pizza and sandwiches because everything I saw looked really good, especially that pasta salad. I was just there to pick up an order of 50 wings and although I called an hour ahead, I still waited almost 20 minutes for my food. That's no biggie, but it gave me time to think about the prices, which is a bit high. For 50 wings with celery, blue cheese and ranch, I paid $45. For a quantity of that many, $0.90 a wing is a bit high. And I only received a few small stalks of celery. The wings themselves, however, were pretty damn good. I ordered 25 BBQ and 25 blackened for a few of us at the office and although I typically do not like blackened wings, these were by far the best I have had and I ate more of that than I did the BBQ. I recommend asking for them crispy because it really gives the wings a great texture. Like I said, I'll be back for sure to try everything they have to offer.

update... the Supreme Calzone? A new favorite... with or without sauce! It is huge, and totally delicious!

Mikes Pizza is a hidden gem! Without a doubt!! They truly have all things that are good! They have large TVs for sports, about 40 beers on tap that are rotated regularly, delicious food for a great price (2slices for $5) and incredible service! Molly is such a great server/bartender, a total sweetheart and extremely knowledgable. She definitely makes this place feel like home! A must go!

Really delicious pizza. You order, get a seat and then come to pick up when the food is ready. The pizza was delicious and the waffle fries tasted so fresh and crisp. We ordered garlic knots too, but they where so doughy I couldn't finish one. The flavor was right, but I prefer fluffy, stretchy knots that pull apart easy. These were like rolled pizza dough that didn't rise well. casual eating. When i visit again, I might come back. Draw back was that most of the tables had crumbs and the kitchen area does a lot of clanging noises with pots and pans and dish washing which disturbs the dining area.

We order from here quite frequently from work, and when I mean frequently I mean some of the people order at least twice a week. There slices of pizza are huge and great, burgers are good also, but it's all average. If you want fries, you add them on and most the time they run out of the regular fries and give you waffle. There has been plenty of times where they have sent the wrong order, or forgotten an order all together. I recommend physically going there, do not have them deliver, or even take out takes a MINIMUM of an hour just to get here even for one salad!

I have two words: Pasta Primavera!!!! Just amazing. Very friendly staff. Attention to detail. Never disappointed. I have order dozens of times and have yet to be unsatisfied. Keep up the great work!

As a BTLS fan I had to check this place out. Yeah it's a dive, the men's room was a mess, and the tables weren't exactly what I call clean (and I have a flexible definition). Most of the pizzas I have tried there were good, rated better than I expected given the cheap price. The salads are large and fresh. When I am on that side of the bay, I have to stop in for my favorite of Mike's offerings, something that is not on the menu, it is a BTLS show special. If you order this, remember to tell them "Bubba Army". It's the "Ned's meaty Mandingo with a side of man sauce". It is a large hot sandwich with your choice of beef, pork, or turkey brest with grilled peppers, you eat it as if it were a french dip as the man sauce is actually a very tasty au jus. For the record, I always order to go from this joint, it is a little too dive-y.

Who is Mike? I want to meet him, and shake his hand and kiss his face. This place is a TOTAL dive and for that, I love it. We called ahead and good thing, because the line was wrapped around the place! Huge crowds at lunch and rightfully so. While I can only vouch for the salads (currently, but don't you worry, I'll be back!) Mike's is fantastic! Clearly it's a regional thing, but Chicken Salad Salad?! Are you kidding me? For a cool $7, that salad is 3 meals wrapped in one glorious to-go box. I feel like I just robbed the place. So the salads go like this: giant, delicious, cheap and fresh, with a scoop of pasta primavera and garlic knots. Side note: I didn't know what a garlic knot was until a week ago.

No reviews for this place? Seriously? Hellooooo McFly..... This has got to be one of the better pizza places in the area. Their lunch specials are great, their slices are huge, and they're always...always packed. Everyone seems to go here and there's always a line out the door. Also of note, is their breakfast pizza. (I know, I know). But this thing, for $16.99 will EASILY feed 8-10 people. This is much better to bring in than bagels or donuts...trust me. You can check out their website to see what's on it, but maybe you should only have this once every couple of weeks ;) It's so worth it though. This place is like a pizza place and deli in one where you can either get some slices, a whole pie, hoagies, or whatever daily pasta or salad specials they have all made and ready to go. You should go in expecting to take the food home because finding a seat can be a tough thing to do during lunch.

Do not eat at Mike's. They will miss up your order, put it under the wrong name and then call you a liar when you call asking to speak with the manager, to which they say doesn't exist. Shame on you Mikes!

so far this is the best ny style pizza in Clearwater and I've tried about 15 places. they put a lot of cheese on it, sauce is flavorful and has a good amount of herbs. 2nd pizza I got seemed a little smaller than the 18 inch I ordered but that didn't affect the taste.

OK so pay attention, this is the best Deli in the world. I live in California and use to live in the Tampa area and the food or restaurant that I graved the most was Mike's. I ordered 4 sandwiches and took them to go. My family and I had lunch an hour or so later and all of us said at one time or in other how awesome our sandwiches were. The pizza here is good but the sandwiches are absolutely the best. If you are in the sandwich business and you want to improve your menu simply fly to Clearwater and copy if you can this sandwich because if you ask me this is the best EVER! P.S. When you guys find a way to keep things fresh and start shipping sandwiches around the world I will be your first customer because I love this place!!

You'll probably miss Mike's unless you know where it is since its hidden by a Checkers. A Checkers with a dining area, mind you, that may occupy your thought process for the moment - I didn't know Checker's had dining areas. But once you get past that, both mentally and physically, you can get to Mike's. Mike's is a dive-y pizza, sandwich, Italian joint usually filled with an odd mix of blue collar, white collar and police collars all enjoying lunch. They usually have a few specials of the day, nothing more than $7 for usually a few slices or something new with a side salad, garlic knots and pasta. Flavor-wise Mike's isn't the best of anything - pizza, subs, calzones, stromboli, etc.. But the slices are large, the service fast and again you're getting out with less than $10. They also have Bubba's Buffalo Chicken Dip pizza, which is a stand out (although it also has mushrooms, that I spend a good 5 minutes picking off). To any BTLS Fans: Mike's has tubs of Bubba's Buffalo Chicken Dip for sale. Note: if you're a cute blond woman, chances are you may be given a free brownie (which in turn will be given to a male co-worker back at the office).

Mike's has been my go-to place for lunchtime pizza and greek salads for years. I crave the greek salad and have gotten a number of my friends hooked on it too, based on how huge, delicisious and filling it is. The prices are reasonable and delivery is free, which autoamtically pushes Mike's to the top of my take-out list. I haven't tried the sandwiches yet, but I hear that they're amazing too. Give it a try!!

I ordered 5 pizzas from Mike's for an event I was hosting. They were on time and tasted good. One of the cheese pizzas, however, tasted like cardboard.

We happened to see Mike's when heading back to our hotel one evening last week and decided to give them a go. I ordered an individual cheese pizza with the intention of having enough left over for a couple of lunches while my husband was at work. I just got a plain cheese. When we walked in we noticed that the sandwich the girl behind the counter was making looked AMAZING. When my husband ordered one - an Italian beef - the owner happened to be at the counter and joked that my husband wanted his sandwich. Apparently the one the girl had been making was for him. Mike ever so graciously gave my husband his sandwich since it was ready to go. Very nice! My pizza seemed to take forever to make. We had also ordered some garlic knots. Mike through in a couple of their brownies for us to take. Again, very nice! The pizza was good. Not the best, but it was hot and fresh and substantial. It was very thick crust. I think that the guy making it actually made it thicker than they typically would for a personal pizza. He had to cut it down to make it fit into the box. It was a good pizza all in all though. My husband's sandwich was really good, he said. I didn't try it but it looked like a Portillo's Italian beef...which is a good thing. The garlic knots were good. Over all, good food but amazing customer service despite it taking a bit longer than I got the impression it normally would take. We would most definitely be regulars based on our experience.
