I have been here twice and cannot give the place a very good rating. The deep dish pizza is horrible, yuck! The service is terrible and slowwww. The second time we waited and waited and waited... You cant hear anything in here, our appetizers were dropped, the manager stopped BRIEFLY! We had to tell them to comp it. Then the new appetizers came at the end of our meal. All of our orders were wrong. Wow!

The food is decent, chain style fare. Great selection of beer and cocktails. Terrible, terrible service both times we visited. Needs some work or this place will go the way of Bennigan's in short time.

For some reason, I thought I wasn't going to like this place, maybe thinking it was just a sports bar, but I'm giving BJ's a 4 star rating with limited exposure at this point. When we looked at the menu, I was excited to see that they had "snacks & small bites" in one section of the menu. I enjoy tapas like food because you can try more things and not get too full. So, we've eaten there twice, and I think we got the same thing both times. I got a "Fresh Mozzarella and Tomato Salad" snack or small bite, and the "Angus Pot Roast Sandwich". The mozzarella and tomato salad was good, they use the small balls instead of slices, but everything seemed fresh and the size was perfect for one person. The angus pot roast sandwich rated "delicious; should I have another"? It's downsized from what you might expect, but the price is less as well. Like I said, the small plates are nice. Tender Angus beef pot roast slices are served on a toasted garlic cheese French roll and topped with white cheddar mashed potatoes and mushroom brown gravy. Served with oven roasted vegetables. (I stole that off of the website). Very, very good! We also split (on the second visit) the "crispy fried artichoke hearts" and they were fried perfectly. Parmesan cheese was sprinkled over them and a garlic aioli accompanied them in a small bowl. Not a fan of mayo products, I ate them without, and enjoyed them much. I don't know if you're a soda drinker, but I am particularly if it's something special. Well, this place makes they own soda, and I guess they make 3 or 4 kinds everyday. I tried an ice cold glass of their black cherry soda (OK, so I had 2), and that was spectacular! Then they ran out, so I had a glass of their orange cream soda, which was really good too. So, we look forward to returning and trying something new (after I have that pot roast sandwich 1 more time)! Did I mention that was a very good sandwich?

Love BJ's and Love that it is now close to the mall.

The name kind of says it all. Another corporate kitchen that is not great but not terrible. That is about the best I could muster about this place "not terrible". How do these kind of places expand all over the country? I thought the massive contraction of Bennigans had signified we turned a corner as an eating people... guess not.

Met a friend for dinner here on Tuesday, May 28th. Let me just say that while I appreciate the Brewhouse atmosphere, the food & service just didn't deliver. We ordered the Stuffed Mushroom App & the stuffing was minimal, if nonexistent. The service was strong at the beginning, but tapered off quickly. The menu is monstrous, which explains why food delivery is slow, even for the salads we ordered. I'm doubting any return visits anytime soon..

We stopped in for dinner after a long day and had a fantastic server, Ronald, that took great care of us. We ordered the lettuce wraps and stuffed mushrooms as appetizers. Both were ok, nothing really outstanding on either dish, and watch out for the yellow sauce that comes with the wraps it was like pure horseradish! If they make that in house, someone should check that recipe, yikes! We also added a mozzarella and tomato salad with balsamic reduction to our meal which was fresh and tasty. For entrees we ordered the jambalaya and one of the thin crust pizzas with ham, pepperoni, sausage, and pepperoncinis. Both of those were very good, well prepared and very filling. Without a doubt the standout of the evening was our server Ronald. He was perfect in his timing of all of our food and he kept our drinks full which was a task in itself. He was very friendly and respectful and I thought he did a bang up job. I'd be happy to have him again and I hope he is appreciated by his managers.

Ate here for lunch today. I shared the lettuce wraps and portobello mushroom burger with a friend. The lettuce wraps were delicious but for $10.25 I would expect a bit more chicken....it barely filled four of the five lettuce leaves that accompany the dish. The flavor was on point though. The burger had great flavor and the mushroom and pesto added great texture and flavor but towards the end the mushroom seemed a but much...it was thicker than even the beef patty! We finished the meal with a delicious peanut butter s'mores pizookie....delicious! It's so sweet that it's easy to share. Loved the toasted marshmallow on top!

  • Frank A.

Smores pizookie is ridiculous. It's a chocolate cookie w a layer of peanut butter then marshmallows brûlée w two scoops of vanilla. I don't like smores and this was insane. Just get it!

This is one of our favorite stops before a movie. Pitcher of beer and some appetizers while watching sports on their TV's. If you are in a rush or are watching your time, sit at the bar. Otherwise, the service is really slow and you won't make it out of their in a reasonable hour. I wouldn't recommend many items on their menu, as several items to include the flat breads, pizza and pasta all taste pre-made and frozen, as a typical chain restaurant prepares. The beer has always tasted fresh though. Clean restaurant with a lively atmosphere.

Pleasantly surprised by my trip to BJ's Restaurant. They have an extensive lunch menu with some lower calorie items and reasonably priced. I ordered the 1/2 Margherita Fresca flatbread and side salad. The flatbread was good, not the best Margherita I've ever had but good, and salad was a nice fancy mix with decent dressing. Portion was small and didn't really fill me up but a good light lunch. BF ordered the chicken fingers and fries and was very happy. Server was very attentive and food delivered quickly. Nice atmosphere, a little loud though - not sure why restaurants do the super high ceilings as they make it much more noisy.

I was underwhelmed by the food at BJ's Brewhouse. Friends and I ate there on Sunday night, and it was not very busy. Service was great and attentive. They have televisions that show sports games, but they are only visible by the bar area and tables around there, and they are very high up on the wall, so it was difficult to see. Order the orange cream soda, it's the best beverage at BJ's (that's not alcoholic). Their special brews are also tasty, I enjoy their blonde ale. The table shared the BJ's Favorite pizza, which is a deep-dish with all of the toppings on it. I asked for the crust to be cooked a little longer because I like it crispy. I enjoyed the pizza the best out of the whole meal. We also shared the tuna tartare, which was okay. I enjoyed it, but it wasn't anything I wanted to order if I was on my own. I also ordered the mahi-mahi tacos for myself. You can choose how the fish is cooked, and the server said I could get one blackened and one grilled. So since I like variety, I followed his advice. Neither way made the tacos taste any less bland. It is served with a mildly spicy salsa and some green creamy sauce that was hopelessly bland. They also gave me two dried limes to squeeze juice on my equally dry tacos. My boyfriend ordered the shrimp Alfredo. It came with plenty of pasta and shrimp, but barely any sauce. He did not finish his meal and didn't even want it to go. The pizookie (pizza cookie) desserts are yummy, and I suggest ordering it with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. It wasn't my first time at BJ's but I really hesitate to return to the restaurant, or any other franchise locations.

Holy appetizers! I came here with a friend for dinner and drinks. Unfortunately, I left my id at home and they were (understandably) strict. We ordered 4 appetizers (half price for happy hour!!). They were good, but not amazing. I really enjoyed the Mac and cheese. It was rich, cheesy, and had the crunchy breadcrumbs on top. A solid choice! What WAS amazing, was that our bill was about $20 for two people!!! I would put their food on the same level as Applebee's or Chile's (better prices).

  • Van N.

Nice varieties for lunch! Had Soup & Salad (could be unlimited) - Mozarella & Tomatoes Salad and Chili as soup were very good. Others in our party enjoyed their meals as well. Slow, but adequate service.

We will stick with the BJ's in Pinellas Park. The food wasn't good and the service had much to be desired. It is a nice bar and sports place in the mall.

I wasn't terribly impressed with this location. The mall is a nice place for BJ's but with all the TV's and all the noise, it's terribly loud and terribly overwhelming. Their menu, is like all other BJ's, so it's HUGE. Both the husband and I decided to enjoy an appetizer of Calamari, which was tasty. I ordered the steak - this is not a steak house, I know to order something different in the future. The side of green beans was -meh- and the soup was absolutely decadent. My husband's dinner of the Indian inspired Salmon. There were a lot of curry flavours blended in, and he said it was really tasty. However it took over 15 minutes after we were done to get our check, and yes, we could check out "at the table" with their ap, but this is not my idea of secure, so we waited for our check... I was not happy.

If you want to host a party for 20 teens - BJs can pull it off - huge menu and something for absolutely every taste. Good service, always prompt, friendly. This place is worth a trip for the pizza size Pizookie - amazing- more if us want this hot pizza dessert for our birthdays than anything else - it's truly amazingly delicious!! The ahi poke appetizer is great as is the sampler platter. Good lettuce wraps and awesome flatbreads! Want a happy family? Take them to dinner here after a day at the mall and order that amazing dessert!!

I guess this place is just not my cup of tea. I asked for a wipe down on the bar and bartender used the dirty nampkin from previous customer with no spray bottle. Yup a dry wipe down! Next miller lite bottle $4.50. Wow! We ordered the wings as appetizer which were pretty good except blue cheese dressing probably one of the worst....very running! Sucked! Ordered burgers - mine cooked perfectly med well. My boyfriend ordered med and also got medium well. He was not happy. Bun was dry and hard. Honestly for the money won't be back. $42 and that's with the coupon and no tip! We have lots better places so we will move on......

I recently moved back to Pinellas Park and stopped there with my husband and 5 grandsons. I ordered the deep dish pizza and the wedge salad. They were both amazing. The pizza melted in my mouth. The wedge salad had the perfect blend of dressing. My husband had the clam chowder in a bread bowl and was very pleased. I can't wait to go back to try other selections. The only down side was that it took longer than usual to get our entrees. When you have a 4, 8 & 10 year old its eternity. Lol. It was well worth the wait.

  • Matt B.

This rating might be a little on the high side, but we have had two very good lunch experiences here. The food is tasty, and the lunch specials are incredibly affordable.....I wish BJs was actually connected to the mall, it was raining and you are actually stuck in there or you get soaked. Have a appetizer, they are all very good.

Not really sure if it's a brewery or a brew house, meaning they don't brew on site. There are too many great breweries in the Tampa Bay Area to put BJ's in the same conversations. The beer is mediocre at best. The food was good, I had the Pepperoni Extreme, which is a flat bread pepperoni pizza. It was really good, and not too filling. I would definitely go back, for the food, but not for the beer.

First time here. New buffalo burger on the 575 calorie menu was good. Cooked exactly to order. Thought it'd have more spicy heat to it - a bit of disappointment there. Coleslaw with burger was very enjoyable especially with the addition of cilantro (everything's better with cilantro!) AND they didn't drown it in dressing, putting a container on the side to add more. Beer flight was good, but I've had better. Wouldn't go here just for the beer. Desert was gluten free chocolate chip cookie pie concoction with vanilla bean ice cream on top. Served piping hot and yummy, just wished it was close to a single serving size. Come to think of it, more of the desserts appeared to be suited for a single person serving. Waiter was helpful but a little long between visits. Never did refill my water or offer to. Don't think I'd go here if I was in a hurry.

We went to BJ's on Saturday evening for dinner. We had about a 15 minute wait which wasn't bad considering the time. We had nachos for an appetizer and they were delicious. I had a meat pizza and was very happy with my choice. My wife had steak and thought it was very tender and prepared just right. Another couple with us tried some pasta dishes and seemed to enjoy them. This is about our 4th time eating here and we would highly recommend them.

Ate here yesterday and I must say I am completely craving the chicken lettuce wrap. This was my 2nd time dining at this location and the service was better the second time around. We ordered the goat cheese flatbread, the chicken lettuce wrap and the ahi poke. Every time I eat the ahi poke I feel like it is missing something. So I order a side of the garlic aioli to drizzle on top of it and it really makes it better. I love the half priced wines on Tuesday. It's a great place to go and catch up with your girlfriends. All in all its good food and spotty service. The menu and specials are great though so it's definitely worth going. Obviously I recommend the chicken lettuce wrap as I must have it again this week. Lol.

The Happy Hour specials are fabulous here. Lots of half price appetizers! I love the plethera of beer selections too. The parmesian encrusted chicken is really good and a huge portion. The "Enlightened menu" is always a good choice when you're watching your calories. My favorite part about BJ's is the beer and dinner pairings. This is a must if you love beer and how it pairs with food. We eat at BJ's about 2 times a month. If you like coupons, join the rewards club. It's super worth it!

I have been to two BJ's locations and this is one of my favorite places so I am not sure why the average rating is 3, but to each their own. I love the food here (esp the chicago style pizza) such as their parm crusted chicken. The drinks and appetizers are always a favorite. This is a place I will frequent often and the service is really good too. Definitely can be busy on the weekends so book ahead if possible.

The place is really nice inside, very classy and good for a date or to have a girls night out. They have an extensive list of craft beers, including local and seasonal beer selection. They also have really great Christmas specials! We got a $100 gift card and received 4 limited edition Pilsner glasses and a holiday suprise card. They also have something called a celebration for two. This is a deal gives you two starters, two entrees and one dessert, all that for only $35!!! This is a great deal because theie menu is not too cheap yet not too expensive. Recommend this place and theie food!

Love this place! Tonight The service was excellent! We had the spring rolls as a appetizer and they are always delicious! For my meal I had the chili in a bread bowl. It was cooked amazing and presentation was beautiful! And for dessert we tried the new salted Carmel pizookie! Amazing! This location always has amazing service and food!

I have been here countless times, and never been disappointed. To start with, they have awesome Happy Hour deals that are repeated later from 10 pm-midnight. 1/2 priced apps, flatbreads with great prices on their beers on tap. I am a sucker for the $3 Caprese small bites dish and pretty much always get the Thai-Shrimp Lettuce Wraps. Top it off with one, or two, glasses of house wine and I am a happy camper for less than $20 (before tip, of course). Other 'Not to miss' items are their salads, which are massive, and their burgers. My only gripe: Their flatbreads could use a little lovin'. They are not consistently awesome.

This place is really good for Drinks and appetizers. The Entrées aren't very enjoyable. The service is average. The environment is nice, I like the booths and how the bar looks.

Some friends and I were going to a late movie and decided to grab dinner first. I had never been to BJ's and suggested it. Its pretty much a standard franchise brew house. Fairly certain beer is not brewed on site, but I could be wrong about that. It's a Ruby Tuesday's with a slightly better beer selection. I had their light lager, comparable to a bud light. Not my favorite kind of beer, but its more wallet friendly than a nice bold craft. I ordered the buffalo bison burger with a wedge salad, dressing on the side. I like my veg. No questions, no problem. Easy order. Or so I thought. Tell me yelp-verse, what does "on the side" mean to you? Maybe I'm wrong, but generally it means in a ramekin on the side of the plate. When my salad came it was drenched in dressing. Some dressing, whatevs, I don't care. But I couldn't see any leafy greens, so I sent it back, politely explained that I asked for dressing on the side. When my salad came back there was even more dressing on the salad. now completely surrounding the plate. I realized.. they thought I meant dressing on the side of the plate. Oh. My friend who is a huge fan of blue cheese dressing decided to take the salad and move it to his bill. So no harm, but I do feel like this is waitressing 101. The waitress added on to this by rolling her eyes when she placed the second salad in front of me. One other complaint, our food took over an hour to receive. We got there well ahead of our movie time (1.5 hours), they weren't busy and still had to throw food down our throats and rush to the theater. The food was fairly tasty, hence the 2 stars. everyone enjoyed their meal. The buffalo bison burger was pretty good, though it had to be enjoyed on the fly.

I've visited many times since my first review and to be fair, service is much, much better all around. The noise level is still high, but the food is good and reasonably priced. There are low calorie selections and healthy selections. The menu is large and ever evolving. It's a thumbs up!

    (4)
  • Julia J.

The gluten free pizza was mediocre at best. By the time it arrived it wasn't even lukewarm. Also ordered a gluten free pizooki and it was like soup :( server was nice but service was slow and they weren't busy at all.

  • Barbra M.

Endlessly disappointing if you sit in the regular table seated areas! JUST SAVE THE STRESS AND SIT AT THE BAR! Service seems like it takes forever with open and OBVIOUSLY closed areas and servers who are OVER seated and over worked. It's a shame as the food FINALLY comes out consistent and good! The only problem I have is the menu pics look nothing like the food the is delivered? It took almost 45 minutes to get our entrees!!... EXHAUSTING after a hard day at work!

had eaten here a few times and the food was good so I decided to take some food home for the family I placed an order through the app and schedule it for pickup at 6:30 I arrived at 6:30 and waited and waited and waited 25 minutes later I called inside to the restaurant since I have the kids with me and can't leave the little ones on the car the answer the phone and told me that my food will be right out so about five minutes later my food came out which makes me wonder if my food has really been sitting at the whole time and it just never brought it out so I get almost all the way home and the kids want something to eat so I reached in to get them some chips and there's only two containers in the bag we're missing an entire entree so I called the restaurant and they said oh well you can just come back and get one but I have you know three quarters of my dinner right around in the car with me getting cold you know I'm coming back for it you need to remake the whole order which they did they told me to be about another 20 minutes so once again I waited another 20 minutes they brought my food out you know I'm said thank you so you know I took the food and drove away didn't bother to look in the bag figuring they would never mess my order up bad idea this time I forgot our soups and salads all of the food wasn't bad not worth going to that much of a hassle

I absolutely love this place for its food and beer. Maybe I just love it because of the beer? Come to think of it. I'm not sure what the food actually tastes like. I usually get a pitcher of beer or 2 with my wife and we enjoy it so much that we always say "Why did we even get food". The beer selections is so good that before you know it you going to have to go watch a movie otherwise you going to do something silly like try to ice skate drunk. I just prefer the beer and a movie that way the world is not spinning too much and I don't get hurt.

Today was my first visit. Not very impressed. I had the spaghetti with chicken. It wasn't pretty to look at, but the spaghetti was delicious! The chicken was just kind of an afterthought. My fiancé had the southern fried chicken which he enjoyed. The mashed potatoes weren't anything to write home about. We waited about 30 min for our table. There were several empty tables and many people waiting to be seated which didn't make sense. The service was terrible! We saw our waiter 3 times. Once to take our order, once to ask about the food and once when I had to get him to get us out check. 3 stars is me being nice.

Very disappointing. The service was slow, I was not given a spoon to eat my soup, and the server did not give me all of my change when I paid the bill. I won't visit again.

Great name, good food, good service. Went for lunch with low expectations and was pleasantly surprised. The menu is huge, the prices are good and the chicken tenders were really good. Kind of loud inside but not a deal breaker. I need to start eating at the mall more often.

I have been to Bj's plenty of times before but not this specific restaurant. I went on a regular Saturday afternoon and it wasn't too busy. My girlfriends and I sat in the bar area. We were seated right away and greeted by our server not long after. I started with the wonton appetizer, which was scrumptious and fried just right. Next I had one of the lunch specials, roasted veggie flatbread and side salad. The side salad was fresh and crispy. The flatbread was different, still good though. I found it to be interesting that one of veggies were green beans. My overall experience was a great one.

Quick to be seated and greeted. Drinks were quick to come. Order appetizer and also came quickly but had no napkin or utensils. Food came but not as ordered. Overall staff nice but and Resturant OK but probably will not be back.

I visit this location from time to time in attempts that it will get better. The decor is inordinate and played out. The menu is just as excessive, 10 pages? This particular time once we were seated, next to 3 children with the rest of the restaurant empty our waiter came up and acted annoyed that we were there. Since it was only quarter to one I assume he wanted to be cut and he quickly expressed he had no interest in a tip. The food is always good, I had the BBQ Chicken salad which was exceptionally good. My gf had the Ahi Tuna salad which was also fantastic. I can't say that I've ever had a bad meal here, in fact they it's never been less that good. They even have a decent happy hour. It'll probably be a while before I go back again, and once I will hope to have better service.

This was our 2nd visit to BJ's Brewhouse. We attended for a special family gathering and had a good meal. There were 9 of us so with a large group, you expect a wait. Our server was very nice, and patient with my 3 children. The food was brought out in a decent amount of time and there were no complaints from anyone, which is amazing in itself. My children were a tad bit annoyed that it took more than 10 minutes for their dessert to arrive, but all in all, it was a good experience. I did have a small problem with no one explaining the Premiere Rewards to us. We were not advised of it our 1st time either. We would go there again because the quality was good and the atmosphere just right for our family.

came in around happy hour Sunday evening and stayed closed to closing time. Decided to eat at the bar. Was semi full with one bartender (kenny/kevin?) but he was real amazing. kept the bar clean and our glasses full. Had a real nice experience, definitely not expecting for a Sunday late evening. Great food, strong drinks, exceptional service. Would def recommend. Update: Came back and Kenny/Kevin is still there! He's great, the other guy with him was not as great but he wasn't bad either. The place is super busy so I'm kicking it down to 4 stars as service at the bar seems to diminish. Perhaps they were under staffed. Took over 10min to get noticed at the bar but once food orders were in, they came out within 30min.

Well here it is -- my first "one star" review on Yelp... I like B.J.s Restaurants. I like the location in Pinellas Park a lot. I was excited when they opened the Clearwater store so close to where I live. Each time I have gone, this location has been a disappointment. The food is good, but the service is always marginal at best, and the prices are high for what you get. I have been to the Clearwater location a few times, and each time I wonder if I will ever go back. Tonight, however, took the cake. First, we tried to order two of the "2 for $20" specials they have been advertising. At first we were told it was only one per table. Really? That seems ridiculous. Then they decided to accommodate us by giving us two checks so they could give us two of the "2 for $20" specials. O.k., whatever. Well this became a problem because we wound up eating in shifts -- two of us ate our dinners, and then the other two ate. All in all, it took about two hours for dinner. Not a good experience--caused by a work-around to a stupid policy. Then our waitress, who wasn't very responsive all night, disappeared. With the two hour mark approaching, we asked someone else to take our check. A third server then came back with the check and was very condescending--like he didn't want to work someone else's table. My wife didn't care for his attitude and didn't want to respond to him, and he repeatedly harassed her about whether there was a problem until she said she didn't want to speak to him anymore. He then argued with her and said she was being rude! His true colors came out when he then condescendingly referred to my wife as "Honey." Who does that? Unreal. We complained to a manager on the way out, who took the server's side and basically asked us to leave -- saying that he didn't need customers like us. I have never been treated like that in a restaurant before -- ever. Clearly the service we received at BJs is a product of poor management and poor training. The conflict at the end of the meal could have been avoided if either the server or the manager had any people skills whatsoever. I am done. I am sending a complaint to BJs corporate, and I am not going back to that location ever again. If you go -- don't say you weren't warned! Updated on 12/19 -- Determined not to let that outrageous behavior stand, we contacted BJ's corporate office. A regional manager returned our call and was extremely apologetic and agreed no customer should ever be treated that way. I think this is going to be addressed. Kudos to BJs for a good response. Further evidence that BJs is not the problem, but this location is lousy--at least for now. Updated on 12/26 -- BJs corporate sent us a letter of apology and a $50 gift card. That doesn't change my analysis of this location, but it gives me hope. We will spend the $50 in Pinellas Park and review that location when we do.

I love BJs. I took a friend here for dinner when I was in town. I ordered the ahi tuna salad. Warning - avoid the wasabi on the edge of the plate. I don't know what happened but it seemed stronger than I was used too. Or maybe there was also wasabi in the dressing and I got a double hit. Other than that the tuna was done perfectly and I really enjoyed the salad. Our waitress Karen was very professional, knew the menu, and was attentive without hovering.

I very much enjoyed the beers. They have some nice house brands. My steak was overcooked, and I did not care for there seasoning. Service was not bad, not great..

There's something about BJ's that feels a little too corporate for my liking. It's almost a Chili's feel with some decent beers. My bitchiness aside - very clean and the menu had several items I chose to try. Not in a rush to go back but would easily choose it over it's immediate neighbors and there are several all very close. So if you would like something other than a Bud and a Burger well worth a visit, that was just too catty, it's better than that

The craft beers are awesome, very good selection. Found out that I do NOT like Tanqueray, that will teach me not to order a new drink because of the pretty emerald green bottle. We will have to try some food here sometime. The bartenders were very nice. The place was clean and comfortable.

Ordered the wings and calamari. Wings were buffalo style. Not too spicy or hot. Great for a group of people who just want good wings. Calamari was good too but they were the tentacle kind. Great beer selection with taps from a bunch of the local breweries. Bartender didn't inform us it was Happy Hour though. We got the discount but would have ordered more if we were told . Overall it was a good time at a chained restaurant

Service here is horrible. We went for lunch this Saturday. The orders came out completely wrong and then came out in different order. So none of us ate together we all ate separately at the same table. The waiter apologized on behalf of the manager but the manager never had the courtesy to come by the table to offer his apology. This is not the first time that this happened at this location - other BJ seem to be fine I think it's just this one.

Awesome food, great service. So glad we detoured to stop here for dinner. Vast menu and lots of alcohol options.

BJs is cool when youre tired of Applebee's and Chili's. Nothing on the menu wows me, but their famous piezookie always hits the spot when I have a sweet tooth. They have pretty good late night specials during the week. I also like that they have a pretty decent light menu for those watching their calorie intake. Family friendly atmosphere, good place to watch sports and grab a drink too. Service as always been good as well.

Service was very poor, we were over 2 hours between being seated and getting a check. The food was good, but not worth the wait.

Great atmosphere, good food and large bar menu. Husband and I both ordered off of the lunch menu and found the portions to be very satisfying. Waitress was attentive and friendly, bathrooms were clean, food arrived quickly. Can't ask for much better from a chain restaurant.

CJ is an entertaining, hardworking bartender and she made my lunch experience fun! I sat at the bar and chatted with her, while I caught up on college football scores on the huge flat screen above the bar. I ordered the BBQ lunch special, which I hear will not be available much longer, ? :( ?, and enjoyed one of BJ's craft beers. The special consists of a juicy, bbq chicken breast, a bbq slider, spicy shoe string fries and a small, and I do mean SMALL, side of slaw. I was impressed at the amount of food for $5.99, however, I was even More impressed with this miniscule portion of slaw lol! Good heavens, BJ's! Cabbage is still relatively cheap, and really, that's the only ingredient I saw! I am not exaggerating, it was hardly enough for a forkful... The fries were a bit limp, but still tasty. As I am pursuing a more healthy approach to mealtime, I didn't need the fires anyway, but that is purely beside the point lol. The beer was excellent and I recommend them all! My all time fav and go-to beer is Stella, and BJ's has a Stella "partner" in their homebrew line up. Top notch! My last trip, to the Pinellas Park location, was equally delightful. The Shrimp Tacos are luscious, the sauce is finger lickin good! My dining companion had the Stir fry and rice bowl and she raved about it, too. BJ's rocks!

BJ's food selection and variety can appease a group that just can't decide what and where to eat. Some of their appetizers are reasonably sized to pass off as an entree (flat breads, wings, calamari, or anything priced 7 and up) They have an excellent beer and wine selection. All portions are very generous with food, beer and wine. I am not a fan of their cocktails. I do feel they are too weak and they are over priced. Cocktails are served in small portions and though VERY tasty, the booze content lacks big time (even for a lightweight) Their servers are hit or miss. During my last check in, I had careless server who forgot to put in an order for our appetizer and visited our table 3 times before bringing our beverages on the 4th. I have had good service other times and of course their meals are well prepared. The environment is great for a game night dinner. They have happy hour on Thursdays for football. I particularly like this place for a dinner and a movie. The theater is right there and it works out well. Overall, I enjoy their food, and there's usually enough left overs for lunch the next day.

I end up here a few times a month due to its convenient mall location.. It beats the food court any day! The food is always good! I normally get the balsamic glazed chicken.. It is delish!! Appetizers are small but good.. The only problem with this place is the service is always sloooowwww! I have yet to get a good waiter/waitress! They are normally clean and nice but not attentive and everything takes forever to get. Yes I will go again because the food quality is good and hopefully someday they will surprise me and give me excellent service!

Good place for a lunch stop. The menu is big but the portions not so much. Not small, but not large either. Maybe because we ordered off the lunch menu. The Southern Fried Chicken was good but you have to try the "Pizookie" dessert....awesome! Hi

My pizza was not good. They do a deep dish Chicago style pizza and a thin crust. I narrowed it down that I just don't like the sauce. And unfortunately the sauce is kinda key. If I were to go again, I would definitely not get pizza or I'd suggest Grimaldi's for pizza. They are much better. The wings (appetizer) were very good. They were nice and crispy and the wing sauce was good, too. So I would recommend their wings, but I'm not going here for wings per se when I could go anywhere basically. The ribs were just ok. In my opinion, they were too dry, overcooked. My husband felt they had too much pepper and he didn't care for the ribs at all. A positive side to some people is that it's really noisy if you want to take your loud kids out to eat. This restaurant is definitely kid-friendly.

I recently went to Bj's for the first time and had an amazing time!!!! We had a large party and had great service! Our drinks and food were very good. Our server Austin was awesome! Very attentive and had a great attitude! I had their Brewhouse burger with fries which was very flavorful and just enough to eat. Prices were reasonable and I would definitely go again!

While this location isn't quite as cool as the ones in Southern California, it's very nice, plays good music that isn't too loud. The teriyaki chicken is AMAZING. All the veggies were super fresh and the chicken was cooked really well. I recommend getting extra rice or requesting light sauce as its a bit too much on the sweetness.

New restaurant in Countryside mall. It seems they are fixing the mall up to be like International mall, which is ok by me! Now BJs is alright. We went mid day on New Years Day. The staff were friendly and the atmosphere was nice. It's a new restaurant at Countryside, but it's a chain. I've never been to one before this time. The menus have a HUGE selection of alcohol, appetizers & pizza. I guess that's their main thing. We ate off the lunch menu which is decently priced, otherwise you are looking at spending $9-15 per person. I had the chicken quesadillas (ok but not great, I'd give it a 3 for taste and a 2 for size and presentation), but my husband had chicken teriyaki. Amazing! His was very yummy and I wish I had ordered that. Overall it's a good place to try!

I have only eaten here twice but I loved it both times. At lunch they offer soup and half a sandwich which is great when you can't eat much. Their soups are fantastic and I could have a giant bowl as my main meal. The chili was so filling also. The dessert blew me away! Also many tv's by bar if you wanna catch up on your sports.

I've been here a few times within the past couple of months and every visit has been a disaster. The wait staff is highly inexperienced. The lack of training is evident. The managers spend their entire time going around to the tables and comping meals because of everyone complaining of the service. My last visit was almost unbelievable. I thought I was on Candid Camera. The waiter sat us at a table and we sat there for 15 minutes before anyone came over to even take a drink order. Then waitied another 10 minutes to get the drinks. The table next to us was filled with half eaten food and empty glasses when we sat down. An hour and a half later, when we paid the bill, it had not been cleared. And...to top off the visit, we were seated next to a couple with a very large, hairy dog. While I don't have any issue with service dogs being in restaurants this one was not marked (clearly anyway) and was being fed from the table (see my pic if you dont believe me). I hear that the service at this establishment is not indicative of the other restaurants in the area, which is a complete shame. The food is very good.....the service is plain ridiculous!

i had a slice of cheese and a slice of pepperoni pan pizza at the dunedin blue jays game. both literally tasted like vomit. it was the worst pizza i have ever had and i had one once that was bright orange. i don't know if the pizza rotted in the heat or something but the other places did not taste like that. surprisingly, i did not get sick.

My wife and I decided to give this restaurant another shot last night for dinner. We decided to sit in a booth which meant a 5 minute wait. Once we were seated it took our waiter about 10 minutes to acknowledge us and let us know that it would be a couple more minutes before he could get our order. At this point my wife and I chose our meals and when the waiter came over ( about 5 minutes later) we asked for 2 samples of the Oktoberfest beer that BJ's makes. He said he would be right back with the samples after putting our order in. 10 minutes later west I'll had nothing on our table. No beer. No water. Nothing, so we decided to leave. Before leaving we told the manager why were leaving and he offered to comp the entire meal and wait on us personally. Neither of us wanted that especially after our previous poor experience. I have to say I most likely will not be back again.

This is as good as it gets without going to a high end place. I have tried about half of their menu with a new item each time and I am amazed each time around. The avocado rolls are awesome and the chicken lettuce wraps are a perfect follow up. Aside from the food, the atmosphere and their house brews are worth coming back for. It is a bit noisy when they are packed, but that comes with the atmosphere. Probably not the place for a quiet date, but great for family and friends!

I've eaten at BJ's a few times, and each time I go I inexplicably find myself liking this place, even though the food is very average. I've tried the pizza, salads, fish tacos, the loaded baked potato, and several of the appetizers, and they aren't bad, but the food doesn't wow me either. I give it 3 stars because the food really drives my ratings, with everything else adding a little bit to the experience. The only exception is the avocado egg rolls appetizer. These things are ridiculously good, with a tamarind dipping sauce. It's worth going here just for this! I could order this and have a couple beers and be very happy. Their beer selection is excellent with many imports, craft beers, and the regular domestics. Their own beer is very good and I have tried the Stout, the Red Ale, the Pale Ale, and the Porter, and I've liked all of them. It's a chain with a warehouse feel to it, and it's generally very crowded in the evenings and you have to wait. It's nicely decorated, clean and slightly upscale, and I have enjoyed my visits. I just wish the food was a little better. Food: 3 stars Atmosphere: 4 stars Beer: 5 stars Service: 4 stars

Do not eat at the Clearwater location if you are expecting efficient service. The servers are mediocre and the management doesn't seem to reinforce customer service as most other reviews echo my complaints. Last weekend we arrived at 6:30pm and had used their App's Call Ahead service. The hostess couldn't find it in their system and didn't have a table ready so we waited nonetheless with the rest of the masses. Upon being seated our server loudly and obnoxiously announced his prepared speech of how he's so amazing and we're going to have a fun night. Needless to say it didn't live up to his promise. We ordered drinks and an appetizer. One of the drinks he brought was wrong and the appetizer never arrived. An HOUR later our food was brought out by an entourage of bus boys along with the missing appetizer. We were so beyond hungry and aggravated that it was even brought out at that point. The server came up and couldn't understand why we wouldn't want our nachos along with our meals that we waited 60 minutes for. He said he'd talk to his manager about taking it off the bill as if it was even a real question. He never asked if we wanted dessert, just dropped off the bill and wiped his hands clean of us.

I've been for dinner a few times. I like to start off with the brew sampler where you get to choose from a selection of 4 mini beers from the tap. They do have a great selection of different beer, but that's what I would expect from a "brewhouse". As far as food options, I've tried the chicken caesar salad. The dressing was excellent, but the portions were very heavy on the lettuce and very skimpy on the chicken. Meh. Also I have tried the gourmet mac and cheese as an app which was decent, but the hair that I found in the bottom of the bowl was most certainly an unwanted ingredient (this was my last visit there). On the other hand, the pizza is probably the best thing I've had here. Excellent flavor, soft thick crust and overall cheesy goodness make it worth another try. I am in the middle about this restaurant, hence why I gave it 3 stars, it's something everyone should check out, but I'm not head over heels crazy for it

The Pazookie saved it :) My girlfriends and I wanted to go to BJ's before hitting a movie at Countryside Mall. Being early in the evening on a Friday, we thought it was best to call ahead. I called at 540ish and requested a call ahead time for 3 at 6pm. The host told me that it was no wait and to just come in and that they don't do call ahead when not on a wait. No problem. We show up 20 minutes later and informed that it would be a 30-35 minute wait for a table. WHAT? Luckily my friend was on it and snagged a bar table that is open seating. So we sit. And sit. And sit. Finally, I waved down a server and asked if there was a server assigned to the table. Then they brought us menus. We ordered drinks. Everything came except my friends' beer. Then they switched servers on us. Regardless, the Pazookie was and is our draw to the restaurant! Yum! When the bill came we were shocked that my friends' beer was $5.75 AFTER the happy hour discount! The server explained that the girl who took our drinks should've explained to us that the BJ's brewed beer is better and a better deal. That didn't happen and a 12-16 ounce Blue Moon for $6 is RIDICULOUS! We'll probably go back out of convenience but this whole experience made us a bit leery of returning.

The new BJ's in the Countryside Mall is a great addition to the area. If you're looking for American fare (burgers, deep dish pizza, salads, sandwiches), there is a vast selection on the menu...it might take you a while to make a selection. The restaurant is also decked out with many TVs throughout, so it's a good place to catch a game or two. The food quality has always been good in my experience! if you're looking for a casual night out, this could be the spot!

I've been here 3 times since they opened recently, and 2 out of 3 were really good...in fact I had the best chargrilled salmon I've ever had . I also got the watermelon and feta salad and liked it so much I've made it for guests twice this summer...I also liked the blonde beer battered fish, but the last time wasn't as good as the first...I hope their consistancy improves....

New location is Clearwater, part of Westfield Mall. Were exicted to give it a try since we liked the one in Citrus Park really well. Were so disappointed when the service was terrible (despite people standing around everywhere), food orders were wrong (despite manager delivering them to apologize for wait), and we were charged for the sodas that should come with a childrens' menu item. Though the food was better than average, as this chain normally is, am going to wait a while for the kitchen and wait staff to become more familiar with the menu and get it together before I'd consider gonig back.
