Bagel King, one of the few amazing bagel places in all of the Orlando area. Every day I had class, I'd stop by here for an early brunch/late breakfast. My server always knew me by my name, and he was so sweet! I can't remember his name for the life of me, but he was one of the best servers I've ever encountered. Not only is the service excellent, but the foods even better. I've never had such a perfectly toasted bagel with perfectly smooth cream-cheese and such fresh nova/lox. On top of that, the home-fries are spectacular. It's pretty quiet here at 9/10AM, and far beats any other breakfast place. The prices are reasonable, and it's a great place, whether your 16 or 60. Welcoming environment and a true N.Y. style deli. Every time I come back to visit my boyfriend's family, I always have to stop here. Bagel King, come to Boca Raton, I need you back in my life!

Wow what a disappointment. Their two gluten free options are two "sandwiches" WITHOUT THE BREAD. They charge you eight dillars to dump a bunch of meat, cheese, etc onto your plate like you're an animal. Would it be so hard to throw some gf bread in the freezer? Its pre-sliced and will sit in the freezer forever, just take out two slices, stick into the toaster for a minute, and you have an actual gf sandwich. To be fair, there are also two crouton-less salad options. They are pretty good.

FINALLY made it to Bagel King. YAAAAAAAAS. For someone who loves bagels it has taken me way too long to try this bagel heaven. 2 years and I'm just now eating here. What have I been doing with my life? Local hotspot for sure as it can be very busy on weekends so be patient and kind. Bagels are fresh in house or to go with many flavors, spreads, and toppings to customize your bagel. What I really loved about this place is that they also serve lots of tasty non bagel foods for my sometimes health conscious mister. I'm all about the bagel but he wanted an omlet. Win win, ya'll! They have all sorts of breakfast staples including french toast that looked oh so sweet or pancakes if you're like me and not an egg eater. The price was very reasonable and put a smile on my guy's face when he saw the total. I'm a cheap bagel date at just under $3 for my meal. Hope to come back very soon!

Oh my gosh- what an awesome breakfast/brunch place! My friend introduced me to this Bagel King location, which serves all sorts of sandwiches, breakfast platters, and sandwiches. I had the Odd's Morning After which included an egg, french toast, bagel, and hash browns. It was definitely more than enough food for me and I ended up taking some home. Service was good- you sit down where you please and a server comes to you to provide drink cups and takes your order. There is a drink station with coffee too which you get on your own. I was stuffed once I left. Good food. Yum yum!

Sweet mother of God I forgot how much I loved this place. I used to frequent there years ago when I lived in WP but haven't been since. I decided to make the trek this past weekend to a strip mall in Casselberry to see if it was as good as I remembered. And yeah. It was. Kings breakfast special is always a go-to.. Eggs how you like them, amazing home fries and a bagel of your choice. I also love the Odd Morning After. Eggs your way (scrambled) with American cheese (as it should be) on top of the amazing home fries and a tomato on top. WITH a bagel of your choice AND challah French toast. Yes, I died and went to carb heaven. The veggie cream cheese is swoon worthy...

This is the premier bagel place in Orlando, and my breakfast of choice when I'm in town. The bagels are to die for, and the pastries are just killer. My favorites are the cheese danish (I forgot to take a photo because I ate it so fast!), or the onion bagel, or the plain bagel with the strawberry cream cheese. But everything is really good. This place was started by a Jewish family years ago, and they have several kosher items on the menu. They now have a few locations, including the tiny one in Winter Park, on Lakemont. WARNING: Once you try this place, all other bagels will be held to this standard!

The quintessential Winter Park bagel breakfast establishment, Bagel King has got a massive selection of schmears and every kind of bagel you would want. The different breakfast choices offered at Bagel King elevate it to almost classic American diner status. The French toast comes on a giant piece of challah bread. If you pair that with a couple of eggs, a scoop of corned beef hash and some piping hot coffee, you have yourself a darn fine breakfast. Bagel King even offers a low calorie section if you aren't looking to "carb load" before or after a long workout. The staff is always super friendly and efficient. These are two musts for a place that is as busy as Bagel King gets on the weekends.

  • Nathan M.

Always busy for a reason! Bagels are delicious and huge but the best thing on the menu has got to be the FRENCH TOAST! Do yourself a favor and order it next time you come in!

I'm on a crazy organic vegetarian diet, with the exception of Sunday breakfast. On Sunday I get bagels with a side of bagels with a bagel on the side from Bagel King. And it feels so right. Prices are phenomenal, coffee is always on point, staff is friendly and the best bagels/cream cheese around.

Hands down the very best food at Bagel King! We normally order breakfast The Tina's special, a bagel of you choice with two eggs any style and a bed of cooked pastrami. Today we ordered the French toast, OMG! Bagel kings uses Challah or egg bread to make this delicious master piece. The outsides crispy and the inside soft, creamy and hot! The place is simply delightful! At Bagel King you can taste the pride and the joy that goes into each and every plate they prepare.

Fantastic bagels, cream cheese, nova, egg salad and more. Everything we have ever ordered has been fantastic. The service is great, too. We also have used them for catering and it has always been perfect. Would definitely recommend.

This place is decent for a quick grab of breakfast/brunch- we ordered a pizza bagel, a chicken caesar wrap, a Philly cheesesteak, a bear claw, a mini cookie, and a buttery croissant. I wasn't a fan of the sandwiches, but I was a huge fan of their bear claw - it was flaky, buttery, and filled with chocolate chips throughout. I think their pastries are more of their strong suit rather than the sandwiches. +bear claw

Fantastic all around! Seriously one of the best bagel places I have been to, ever. The selection of bagels exceeds expectations and the choices are out of this world. You have can get everything from chocolate chip bagels with strawberry cream spread, to asiago bagels with bruschetta spreads. And if you're are feeling more peckish, I definitely suggest their bagel sandwhich combos that come with a side. I have had both their Cali and their tuna. My favorite is the Cali hands down! The aioli on it is to die for. You will not regret it! I also love their nod to their knish, and though I am not Jewish, my friend who is said that these even beat his mother's knishes (plural of knish?). The coleslaw side was also really delicious, but super sweet. So be prepared! They definitely give you enough for two meals with the lunch combos...and even gave me two containers of cole slaw, which I was very surpised by. Lots of food all in all! You will not leave hungry. And what's more Is that there pastry shelf in front is soooo alluring. The cookies are the size of my face! And finally, my favorite thing about this already wonderful place is the fact that you can buy bags of one to two dozen day old bagels for $2/$3 a piece. Can you imagine if you had a large family to feed? Just knowing you can come here to purchase those perfectly good bagels at such a low cost warms my heart. It probably allows many families to have breakfast and even lunch whem they otherwise wouldn't have been able to. I love that about Bagel King! *sidenote: all the service I've had here has been wonderful too. Once my husbands well-done order of an egg came out too runny for him, and though he wasnt expecting anything because of it, the lady gave us two desserts in the house to go as an amends. Quality service!

The bagels are, of course, delicious. We've been coming here for years. I love all the breakfasts, and they have flavorful always-fresh coffee. I can't give them 5 stars, though, because they serve great food but give diners cheap plasticware. I seriously consider bringing my own just so I don't have to fight with the wimpy fork that groans to cut through their fluffy (and not at all tough) pancakes.

I've never reviewed Bagel King?! I guess it's just that I've been coming here forever - long before Yelp was a glint in my eye. So I'll just say that if I'm buying bagels locally I'm buying my bagels from Bagel King. Period. End of story. If we want to eat a bagel out locally, we drive to Bagel King to get it. While we are there - their pastrami is great. The rugelach are addictive and Marty loves their poppyseed hammentasch. I don't know what else I can add except that I've been going to Bagel King for almost 20 years. Would I be doing that if it wasn't good? Umm. No.

Fresh fish fantasies! Get some nova salmon (or lox if you like the salt) and make all your fish fantasies come true. I love to get the fish fantasies with an everything bagel. They give you lettuce, tomato, capers, salmon, and cream cheese. The portion of the cream cheese provided can be small so if you like your schmear to be thick, you should ask for extra. I also love the princess desire. Challah French toast rocks!! It comes topped with both powdered sugar and cinnamon sugar. If you are like me and like your French toast savory, you can ask them to leave it out. We are always greeted with a smile here. Really great restaurant.

Bagel King is a great breakfast spot! Bagels are made fresh and there are a bunch of options to choose from. oh, and I can't forget about the schmears! Boy are they lovely! You have to try the bruschetta schmear on an everything or pumpernickel bagel. So good!! I have to give a shout out to our server, Nick! He was fun and friendly and made us feel like family.

Bagel King is by far my favorite weekend breakfast spot! For one, they have delicious food. They have a great selection of bagels including things like your traditional everything bagel as well as specialty things like seasonal pumpkin bagels. They make homemade cream cheeses as well. One of my favorite combinations is the cinnamon raisin bagel with the almond amaretto cream cheese. Another one is the cinnamon sugar bagel grilled with honey butter. In addition to bagels they have full service breakfast and lunch including deli meats, eggs, matzo ball soup, salads, etc. The prices for the food are ridiculously low. Their daily "Kings Breakfast Special" is a staple for us. It includes a bagel, breakfast potatoes, two eggs and coffee all for $5.99. Their coffee is also really good. They have a selection of regular and decaf Colombian coffee, as well as hazelnut, and around 4-6 additional flavors daily. They also have milk and half and half to put in your coffee. All the drinks are self serve, and the food is table service. I like being able to make my coffee just the way I like it at the drink station. The service is always great in my opinion. Even before we started going here regularly everyone was always friendly. Now that we go there weekly all of the servers have become familiar faces. I decided to post this review specifically because this morning we arrived later than usual and the line for seating was very long. We waited probably about 20 minutes for a table, which I didn't find to be that horrible, however to make us feel better about our "long" wait, the to-go cashier came around to everyone in line with free chocolate chip rugelach, and at the end of our meal our server gave us two free pastries to-go for what she called "such a long wait" for our food. Really, the wait for our food and a table was no longer than what you would expect at a higher end breakfast joint, but since Bagel King customers are so spoiled I guess the staff felt the need to apologize.

I come in quite often, mostly Saturday mornings. It's very busy on the weekend. I always get the same waiter, he's awesome, always gets my order right. Food comes out quick. This place is awesome! The Challah French toast is huge and amazing, my daughter loves it. I love their chocolate chip bagels.

I come into Bagel King every Sunday for a standing Sunday brunch with close friends. Not only are our orders taken promptly and attentively, but the food is awesome. The chocolate chip rugelah reminds me of Chicago, and the bagels are great. The only reason it didn't get 5 stars is because they always over schmear my bagel, and under toast it, even when I request extra toasting. Will continue to go!

The food here is so delicious. I've tried the pastrami Reuben and it was so filling, I could only eat half the sandwich. The bagels are pure heaven and the cream cheese spreads are whipped. Only open till 2:00 pm don't miss a chance to have some of the tastiest bagels in the Orlando area.

Food is awesome especially the corn beef hash! I love that during the busy times the coffee, soda and juice is self serve, no waiting! It's the best. People are always so nice, it is a clean happy place to grab a bite or fresh bagels. Last time I was there I had the garlic herb cream cheese on a plain bagel and it was delicious!

I have been coming to this place for years. Friendly staff, fresh food, quick service, awesome prices! Only issue is sometimes finding a seat can be tough depending on when you go! Overall, worth a visit.

This is one of my top favorite brunch spots. The bagels are fresh and delicious, and they have the shmear to match. Their cooked breakfasts are also amazing. I love their almond amaretto shmear. Frank's special is always a hit in my party as well. They have a lot of different coffee flavors to choose from. I've also had the veggie bagel sandwich, and it was fantastic. I go here as much as possible. They also have authentic Jewish deli options, which is not particularly my taste, so I can't comment.

Horrifyingly surly service and mystery overcharges... Lifelong bagel aficionado here... and these bagels while large and pliant, just lack that initial crunchiness or any real depth of flavor. Better than a cafeteria bagel, worse than an Einsten's bagel. The service here is just rude. And this was for take out. The guy who took my order asked me, at the end, "What was it you were ordering again?" Then the woman who handed it to me did the eye-contactless dangle it and shove it - like she was passing out box lunches on prison work detail. Of course, when they rang up the wrong price for a dollop of cream cheese when paired with a bagel (listed as $1.00 on their menu, but rang up as $1.49) I was the bad guy for pointing it out. "Well, the price on the menu is wro..." Before he could even finish his ignorant sentence, I said "Just charge me what's printed on the menu, OK?" Snide look by the guy and I was on my way to paying the advertised (and retrospectively overpriced) $10.49 for a bagel with 1 ounce of cream cheese and some lox/tomato/onion, although the lox was high end. A disappointment - NY brusqueness, NY prices, Casselberry mediocrity. Bagel King is far more forgettable than fuhgedaboudit.

Wow, this is yet ANOTHER place I can't believe I haven't reviewed yet. Anyway, we get bagels from here a lot since it is the only place around where you can get real bagels, as opposed to round bread ala Panera Bread etc. Also, their pastries, sandwiches and deli items are excellent. I stooped in today to get a dozen bagels and found that on Tuesdays you get 18 for the price of dozen, yumm-o-riffic! By the by, bagels freeze really well, so whenever you get the jones on for some tasty bagel and cream cheese or with some nova salmon you are set to go. While I was there I realized I was hungry and got one of their turkey pastrami sandwiches on rye. Wow, so delicious with nice thick sliced turkey, sauerkraut, provolone cheese and dijon mustard. Then, I happened to ask if they had turkey pastrami, which they don't, but they talked me into sampling a fresh grilled slice of their "breakfast pastrami" which is pastrami cut like bacon. Holy smokes, it was too delicious. I will be back for some of that tasty goodness. Finally, as I was leaving, since it was close to their closing time the gave me a bag with a couple of muffins and pastries in it for free to clear out their case. What can I say, the service and food here is really amazing. I need to make it a point to frequent them more often in spite of how far it is for us to drive up there.

Good experience. The man behind the counter rewarded us just for letting him know his signs were mixed up. Had an awesome giant chocolate drizzled almond cookie (meal sized) and perfect chicken matzoball soup. Definitely will go back.

First of all I am a BIG fan of breakfast. With that disclaimer out of the way I must rate this Bagel King as an awesome well kept secret. We have eaten here twice and the 4 breakfasts have been well cooked, tasty and large portions. I have never had a tastier home fries than these. The bagels are great New York style with a great fresh selection to choose from. We had Danielle both times as our waitress and she has been friendly and courteous. They also have a bottomless self serve coffee bar with very good coffee. The food comes out fast, but NOT fast food, and well cooked. They also serve a lunch menu that we simply must try. Both times we have gone on a Sunday morning and the service was outstanding. We will definitely be going back.

The best bagel in town! We live all the way on the east side of Orlando and make the trip over here every now and then just to get their amazing bagels and breakfast. We had to take home a dozen just to hold us off until next time!

Really not sure what all the hype is about. Have been looking for a good bagel since leaving NYC and thought this may be the place. Bagels are mediocre at best. Service is slow even when not Crowded. They don't have rolls which is a major strike for me and they hold bankers hours, so good luck getting here when they are open. Better than Einstein bagel but overall not very impressed

I was introduced to this wonderful establishment by a friend. SO glad because I would've never found it on my own. Their location is tricky to find - they're located in the center of a sprawling shopping plaza off of Semoran Blvd. that houses a TJ Maxx and Publix to name a few. We came here on a Sunday and it was packed but thankfully not a long wait. Once we sat down, we were given menus to order from. Since it was closer to noon, I decided to go with a lunch option even though breakfast options were also available. At the recommendation of my friend, I went with the honey walnut roasted chicken salad on a wheat bagel with a side of the red bliss potato salad. Drinks are self serve but I wish the cups for the cold drinks were larger to avoid going back and forth for refills. That was a bit annoying. I can't say enough great things about my meal. My bagel had a HEAPING serving of chicken salad in between a sliced bagel dressed with red onion, lettuce and tomato. There was no way I could eat as a sandwich so I copied my friend and spread the chicken salad on each bagel slice. Worked like a charm! This was probably the best chicken salad I have had in a long time. It was so flavorful and had a great balance of the chicken, mayo and the walnuts too. It was soooo good and very filling! I didn't eat again until dinner that night. I could do without the potato salad. It was too rich and tasted mainly of mayo. I would probably get the chips as a side on my next go round. I did notice that they also have bags of bagels and different spreads available for purchase. I'll check that out next time I visit. Definitely a nice option if you live far and can't come back often during the week. I just wish this place was a little closer to where I lived but it doesn't matter because, as Arnold Schwarzanegger's character said , "I'll be back!"

This is a nice local chain, who's workers give that local feel. The servers have always been friendly and helpful. You'll get more than bagels here. They have many combo meals, that can include a side of eggs, french challah toast and breakfast potatoes. I love their Smoked Salmon Nova Bagel, which is a mouth and stomach full. Definitely worth the price. Their Lox bagel is the saltier version. Last time I had the New Breakfast Special, which is an egg omelette stuffed with tomato, grilled onions, green peppers & American cheese. I was expecting a little more of the stuffing, but it was good overall. I love their coffee and beverage stations. They have about 5 different types of coffee, plus an array of sweeteners and flavors to add. It's unlimited refills and I make sure to take some to go. I like that they have reusable coffee mugs to use, and would use them if I wasn't taking the coffee to go. They have many seats at the front and along the side. The place can fill up though, since it seems so popular. I took my family here, last time they visited Orlando, They loved the place and wished it existed where they lived. There are so many choice to try here, and you'd probably have to come once a week, for a year to try them all.

Best weekend breakfast spot! Their bagels and specials are amazing and service is friendly and feels like family. Truthful moment: the wait staff and cook is better on weekends. I have always been happy with food and service then. On weekdays both are hit or miss. Don't let this hold you back, though, just go on the weekend.

YES the bagels are delicious but the people who work here, ... COMPLETELY rude, no worded accuracy whatsoever, FORGeT about friendly welcome and for the joke of service, absolutely overpriced. TAKE CARE OF YOUR CUSTOMERS RIGHT !

Hidden gem in Casselberry. I'm a healthy eater, and would take this place over Einstein Bagels any day. You can customize your bagels and breakfast meals, or select from many traditional, new and unique meal combinations. Grab a drink and seat yourself for some very friendly service or place an order to go at the counter. It's my second time here, and I know I'll become a regular. Great for breakfast or lunch. Check it out!

Food is fantastic, by far the best bagel place in Central Florida; star is taken off for overall experience over the years... Not really their fault but they are always busy and they don't really seat people. I don't mind waiting for a chance to sit but it's another thing to have to engage in gladiatorial combat for a table when someone gets up. Much more chill on the weekdays of course.

Epic bagel failure. I walked into this place at ten min to 1 and placed a Togo order at the counter. The order I placed was a meat lovers sandwich which the server swore wasn't on the menu. So I opened it up and showed him. Once my order was placed I waited until 125 be4 I finally got my food. Keep in mind I'm a chef at a restaurant in winter park and I know how things should go... I got home opened my box and my sandwich was a disaster. The bacon was on the outside and the whole thing was a sloppy mess. I will not be returning anytime soon until the employes have knowledge as to what they are selling and pride in their work.

I'm really disappointed in my most recent trip to bagel king. I was on my lunch break and saw a bagel king truck driving down the road which gave me the inspiration to stop in and get the salt bagels I love so much. I was afraid they were closed so I speed behind their own Mobile advertisement and raced in the plaza parking lot. The sign blinked open and I was excited to see that I made their closing deadline. The doors were open and I walked inside. The restaruant was filled with customers. The man behind the counter shouted to me, "miss sorry we're closed" huh the place is filled with people and their are bagels in the window. Feeling disappointed and slighted by bagel king.

The only reason I'm giving any stars is because the food is good. My boyfriend and I went for the first time and ordered two sandwiches to go. They weren't very busy and we had to wait over 20 minutes for our food. We decided to order over the phone for our next visit, so we wouldn't have to stand around waiting for our food. I called to order and was placed on hold for over 10 minutes. I could hear the lady shuffling around papers while I was on hold. I figured she forgot about me, so I hung up and called back. I was able to place an order, but she wouldn't tell me what flavor bagels they had available. When I asked what flavor bagels they had available she said "everything but onion and egg". I asked her to name them and she said "excuse me?" with an attitude. I repeated myself and she stayed silent. I said "never mind, I don't want to order from you" and hung up. Service is very important no matter how good the food is. I can find another bagel/sandwich place. I don't recomend this place unless you want to lounge around waiting for a bagel or sandwich and don't care how you're treated. I don't understand why they take so long and have such a bad attitude.

SCHMEAR!! Ok, that's just a fun word to say. :) So now that I got that out of my way, what makes Bagel King so fun for me is the quality of food that they serve for the extremely affordable prices that are posted on their menu. Coffee - Love the selection of flavored coffees....hazlenut being my favorite, they have other flavors like French Vanilla, and even a Caremel-something or other. They keep their coffees hot and fresh and are mindful of when they need refilling. Speaking of drinks - this is a "serve your own drink yourself" kind of place. Just go get it, don't be shy, it's off to the side and there are even ceramic mugs available for you to grab if you're dining in and wanna stay green. :) Talk about breakfast, not only do you have an abundantly big selection of bagels and schmears, but the menu has a wonderful variety of breakfast items. I'm just gonna throw this out there, the "Odds Morning After" breakfast is a little bit of everything: - One egg cooked to order with a tomatoe slice and cheese over breakfast potatoes - One THICK slice of French Toast (They use their challah bread) - Bagel with butter (But I say go ahead...add the schmear!!) I usually order a side of baaaaccooooooonnn (said in my best singing voice, because bacon is so awesome, you can't really say it...you just end up sining it). When you order the side of baaaaccooooonnnn, it's 4 THICK slices of applewood smoked bacon. Heaven. Lunch items are also on the menu, but I really just can't get past the breakfast items because it's so good. I should mention that this is a breakfast/lunch place, so it's not really open for dinner. So get out there early and check it out, yo! Cheers!

Check this spot out ASAP! I put it off for far too long but it's worth the drive and I'm glad it's not too close to me or else I would be in trouble. Fantastic bagels and all schmears are great- the chunky nova is fabulous. I've also had good potatoes here. I've been dreaming about the chocolate chip mandel bread which they slice for you. You'll see it in the case and it's a huge serving for $4.99. Get it- you won't regret it. I recommend coming earlier in the day- naturally they run out of bagels near the later part of the day.

This is currently my favorite place for breakfast. Everything I've tried is delicious - from the bagels to the potato knishes. I always know I'll be skipping lunch when I eat here because the portions are huge and the food is very filling. Some tips for your first visit: 1. If you're ordering take-out, head to the counter. If you plan on eating there, just grab a seat. It's a little hidden, but there's more seating in the back. 2. Drinks are self-serve. Once you find a place to sit, head over to the drink area and grab a coffee, tea, soda, etc. Juices are located in containers in front of the counter. If they're out of something, just ask someone at the register to get more from the back. 3. Prepare to eat A LOT of food! Especially if you order from the Specialties menu in the middle. If you'd like to try a little of everything, get the Odd Morning After. It includes eggs, tomato, cheese, potatoes, corned beef hash, a toasted bagel and a piece of their amazing french toast. Enjoy!

Had the egg salad bagel. It was ok. Service was horrible! The server gave my food to someone else. I watched them touch it then return it. He tried to give me that same sandwich! Disgusted at his lack of knowledge that you should never do that.

This place is great for breakfast/bagel lovers. . Everything absolutely fresh and homemade. Service is super nice and friendly and speedy. Affordable pricing. .. Can't complain. I had the Nova salmon with everything bagel and a glazed cinnamon bagel on the side... super tasty. ... The drinks are self served so for all the tea/coffee drinkers this is heaven. ... I will be back to Try different things on the menu..

Wow! So great! Think of Einsteins Bagel but with a Paneras kicker. Their bagels are great, but the Odd Morning Sampler was where its at. Huge delicious French toast, egg, bagel, home fries... So full.

This is one of my favorite breakfast spots. Everything I've had from there has been great. I love their bagels, coffee, and potatoes. My husband is a fan of the corned beef hash. They get very busy on the weekends, so plan to wait.

Best bagels south of NYC!!! I'm from New Jersey and these bagels are the best any northern will find in central Florida....Maybe even south of NYC. Great fast staff and fresh warm bagels. I drive 25 minutes just to get them after church each Sunday. Well worth it.

This place brings me back to the north east. The bagels are always fresh and tasty. Great breakfast sandwiches .try out their french toast.

So delicious. I'm really not a bagel fan for the most part because they aren't healthy, but Bagel King leaves me wanting more. I've gotten a bagel with the smooth lox (lox and cream cheese, so bad but so good) the times I've been, and I can say that that's all I really want from them. When getting water from the fountain beware the High-C Lemonade. One tap of that lever and your drink will suddenly be pink and cost a bit more. That's something I find humor in at least. So, 4 stars for a bagel that makes me want to eat bagels, decent prices, and a delicious lox/cream cheese combo that will force me to increase my exercise patterns even more.

No offense but if you go here, and are not in love, then you are probably a jerk. Bagel King is an Orlando staple. There is almost nothing better than one of their hot crispy on the outside and soft and chewy on the inside bagels with custom cream cheese of your choice. They also have a massive selection of well, massive pastries! These things could each feed a small family if you were careful. My only complaint with this place is that they are almost always crowded. But if you are not in the mood to wait for the best bagels on earth, then order them to go! On a diet, no problem! One of my favorite things to order here is Donna's Dieter's Delight with egg beaters, turkey sausage, oh and they give you an entire bagel with cream cheese as a side item! No joke. You could eat this for two breakfast's. Lots of love for this place.

Bagel King is a wonderful Saturday morning routine to start. Great servers, THE best bagels around. Cheap prices. Cozy atmosphere. Big selection of coffees at a self-serve coffee bar! You will love this place.

We went here to get a afternoon bite. Enormously heap of crème cheese on the bagels! Many different flavors and types of coffee on self-service. Great bagels. They say they have free wifi but it was impossible to connect to.

Great for catering. I hired Bagel King for catering a small luncheon. The price was better than other comparable places. More important, they provided me with more than I expected, and service was with a smile. Beside the excellent food, they gave me all of the silverware, napkins, and even glass dishes for the potato salad and cole slaw. The meats, breads, and the extras were excellent. Outstanding dessert tray. I really appreciated their effort in providing me with a high quality luncheon food. Great place, great people.

Pretty good food. Their pancakes are amazing, I've heard their french toast isn't too bad either. The service is really good and everyone is very friendly.

Came here for breakfast because of a coupon they had in Valpak. Ordered Odd Morning After and their Reuben sandwich. Lots of carbs but coming to a bagel place what did you expect. Reuben was 3/5, not bad. Great service. Chose cinnamon bagel as side for morning after, toasted well. Great coffee selection too

Wonderful place, the food is fantastic, the service is perfect. The staff remembers who I am, and what I like. I would recommend to anyone looking for a new place to try. And definitely give their pastries a try too, absolutely delicious.

Don't bother with this place. They can't even get a simple bagel order right. I asked for my bagel to have just a little cream cheese and they slapped on about a pound of cream cheese. Another time I asked for a sesame seed bagel and got an onion bagel. This place sucks.

Ok. I'm finally reviewing the place I live a mile away from and have a secret (not anymore) addiction to. Coffee. Bagels. Pastries. Cream cheese. All the yums in the hole bagel world. If you're on a diet I wouldn't suggest here. Go to first watch. I've ordered the skinny turkey avocado before while I was trying to watch my weight and it was GINORMOUS! Of course I said "I'll just eat half" but it was really good and my tummy won out over the diet. You can't fight bagel king once you're inside. If you're not on a diet... order anything. Anything at all. You won't be disappointed. Their everything bagels are my fav. Their bruschetta cream cheese is really really good, I've bought a tub before and gone home and cooked with it, totally recommended. One warning: Sunday brunch time is a complete shit show...like line out the door and around the block. Go on a weekday or be an early bird whilst you will be waiting.

I live in MA but received a rec for Bagel King from a friend before a recent trip to Orlando. This morning, three weeks after returning home, I'm enjoy the last of the bagels I bought on that trip. [sniffle] The only bad thing I have to say is that the website didn't spell out which locations are full-service. I first stopped at a spot that was really only suitable for take-out, and on top of that, they were out of the skinny bagels (one of my reasons for trying the place). I was really bummed after driving a bit to get there, on my last day of vacation, no less. The nice woman there recommended we drive the few extra minutes to the location where we ended up eating. I'm glad we did but would have appreciated avoiding the inconvenience. The bagels are fantastic. To be fair, I love bread/carbs, so I've never met a bagel I didn't like; but these really are delicious, and what sets Bagel King apart is the overall menu. I'd never be satisfied with only a bagel for breakfast. The little meals are filling and tasty (and, in some cases, pretty healthy). We splurged and bought a half dozen bagels to take home and freeze, as well as a cheese danish and a fat free muffin for later in the day. Everything was super. The staff was super friendly, even helping us decide how to spend our last few hours in Orlando. Well done, Bagel King! You have fans in New England who look forward to visiting you again.

Bagel King has become a Saturday morning tradition in my family. Honestly I love everything about this place. The atmosphere is real "New York diner" (coming from a big city this really his home with me) and EVERYONE that works there is as nice as can be! The menu is extensive and easy to read and the specials are always yummy. Ok now lets talk about the coffee. Best. Coffee. In. Orlando. Hands. Down. It's just literally amazing. The food is absolutely mind blowingly good. The bagels and schmear are DELICIOUS. Right now I'm stuck on the Sunny Rachel (Corned beef hash, two eggs, cheese and a bagel) and it literally hits the SPOT after a long Friday night. We tell everyone we know about the Bagel King. Truly obsessed.

Bagel King is one go my absolute favorite breakfast places in Central Florida. Their bagels are top notch and lots of variety will give you plenty of options no matter your mood. But they aren't just bagels. Their breakfast combos are great and the grilled pastrami is amazing. I've also had their tuna salad on a bagel which was good as well. They can get quite packed on Sundays and while the wait is never terribly long there's no real wait area so you just stand their staring at people. Ultimately this is a great place to eat at and the best bagels in town. Make sure you pay them a visit.

A solid 3.5 Stars When the BD wanted to eat at Bagel King, I thought it was one of those fast food joints where you go in, order a bagel with cream cheese in a brown bag, and then get the hell out. So I was surprised when he wanted to sit down restaurant style. I going to be late for my next appointment due to this assumption. We ordered a Frank's special with added corned beef hash with a side of blueberry bagel and strawberry cream cheese. BD also got a bowl of mazto ball soup and a knish for me. Breakfast was really good. I'm a fan of corn beef hash with over easy eggs on top. The potatoes served underneath was also nice and tasty. The bagel and cream cheese was like a yummy dessert. The matzo ball soup wasn't anything special for me as i don't care for it but the broth was warm and yummy if not a bit oily. I didn't care for the knish as there was something yeasty about the bread and the potatoes inside wasn't inspiring. Service was friendly and fast as it could be on a busy and crowded Friday afternoon.

I eat here like all the TIME! I've found my favorite things, it's called the odd morning after, huge piece of challah french toast, eggs, potatoes and a bagel, I add bacon, and theirs is thick and good! Also you can get as much cappuccino as you want or hot chocolate, self serve. Great place

We make a weekly trek to the Bagel King in Casselberry Commons for "everything" bagels. While we live walking distance from a chain bagel shop that will do in a pinch, there's really no comparison. It's a rare occasion when we sit down and have something other than bagels. When we do, Fannie's French Toast made with three slices of challah bread is a good choice and should probably be the meal for the day. But it's the bagels that have us hooked; everything bagels with plain cream cheese, or chunky nova spread on special occasions. Bagel King has been recently remodeled and is open for breakfast and lunch with a large selection of bagels, egg dishes and sandwiches. Linzer cookies are also a must. Bagel w/plain cream cheese $2.00 w/chunky nova spread $3.50

Folks! You must boil a bagel for it to have all the characteristics and consistency that make up this chewy baked goodness.. I have been to many places in Orlando that say they have bagels... No! Its frickin bread made with a bagel dough recipe!!!! Bagel King....Thank you! You are producing the real thing and they are wonderful...

I went to bagel King for the first time today and I can truly say that I will return again and again! The menu was very well laid out with both breakfast and lunch items available. I ended up with Blake's Smoked Turkey Ham & Swiss on rye bread that was to die for! We also got the Rare Roast Beef sandwich that turned out to be a delicious accompaniment with the side of red bliss potato salad that me and my partner both received. Finishing our meal we had one of the huge black and white cookies at this location, and some assorted rugelach. We will definitely make the return there for breakfast and again for the other lunch options that are available here. Thanks also to the staff - I went in to pick up some challah bread (thanks!) and found an exciting place to go for breakfast and lunch! Well done Bagel King!

First time coming to Bagel King, even though I have heard of this place I never knew they had a location here , it looks like it has been here for a long time and has plenty of fans. I had there Rear Roast beef ( Special of the day) and some potato salad instead of the other side(Potatoe knish), it also came with a drink all for $8.99 The sandwich it self was good and it was like eating a Philly cheese steak but with a different bread and cut in half, the sandwich it self came with roast beef, red peppers and mushroom and onions. Red pepper pesto was also included in the sandwich giving it more flavor. The food was good and the bread they used for this (onion roll) was delicious the only bad thing and the only reason's) I only gave this place four stars instead of five was a) the sandwich was over cooked and had burned part coming off the meat making the sandwich crunchy at times and B) they close at 3pm every day except Sunday (2pm) also the price for the sandwich and small potato salad and I mean small like if you were getting ketchup in a cup with a drink was a bit over priced I think paying 6-7 buck would of been more of a deal even though I know they make it all fresh but for the amount of food I got I think it was over priced. They serve breakfast during lunch and can get you anything on there menu mad during lunch ( bagels with cream cheese or bagels with eggs) there selection is good and long and offer all types of breakfast items mostly with bagels, they also have soups and salads and the decor inside is nice. They offer free wifi with is a plus and also offer coffee making this review even better and giving them more kudos. The staff is very friendly and they do not rush you out plus my server Brittany was great, she was fast and looked to be very happy to be there. Over all I really liked this place and will definitely comeback to try another of there items, I am glad I live close enough to come by almost every day. Check this place out if you have not been here before.

I cannot even begin to say how many times I have been here. I actually really like this place much more than Panera Bread (and I love Panera Bread). They have a full menu and LOTS of bagels to choose from. To me, it's more home-cooked than many of the other local restaurants. I encourage those who are not in Casselberry to frequest Bagel King because it's really a fabulous place to grab a bite to eat.

I don't have many words to add to what everyone else has posted but if you find pleasure discriminating against the monster that is Einstein Bros. Bagels, Bagel King is the place for you. The bagels are simply amazing...The other extremely tasty items on the menu are a fortunate bonus. Fresh bagels...stunning...day old bagels, frozen after 4 days and carefully thawed and toasted...just as good as day 1. If you are reading this review, just get to Bagel King first chance you get...afterwards, like me you will regret you waited that long to pay homage to the Bagel King.

I LOVE BAGEL KING! My professor took me to have lunch here and the food was delicious! I ordered a King's breakfast that came with a soft, everything bagel w/ delicious cream cheese, mouthwatering home fries, and scrambled eggs. Everything I ate was delicious, the service was great, and the coffee was fantastic! Skip Panera and DD, instead visit the Bagel King! I definitely will be back!

We frequently drive past other breakfast places to go to Bagel King in Casselberry, and we live in Winter Park. It's tucked away in a shopping center. This is my first 5 star review on Yelp. I love Bagel King! The name doesn't really describe the scope of their menu. You can get all kinds of egg dishes, sandwiches, etc., but I agree that bagels are the star. The food is fresh and prepared to oder. The prices are so extremely low, especially if you have a coupon. I can get a huge breakfast with table service and a beverage for $3.50. Beverage bar is unlimited refills. It's not a fancy place but it's clean and well kept. It has a local, in the know vibe. There is a Bagel King on Lakemont closer to my home, but it doesn't have a grill, so that's why I'm not reviewing that one, however I'm sure it's great for bagels and cream cheese.

Nice atmosphere. Service a little awkward for a bagel place (sit to order). Once seating service was fast. Bagels not as good as I thought they would be for a bagel place. A little dry....but good size.

YES! I finally found a place to indulge in my homemade bagel/cream cheese craving! This place is just like the delis and bakeries up in NYC with all the usual treats - rugelach, black & white cookies, napoleons, and best of all.... POTATO KNISHES! Upon entering you see the glorious bakery case chock-full of these delicious treats and more! I had breakfast there today: an egg-white omelet w/veggies (they have healthy options! Def a plus in my book...) served on a poppy seed bagel. The bagel was absolutely delish and the omelet was equally awesome. The service was quick and the waitress friendly. They had a huge menu and a large selection of lunch items that I'll have to head back and try!

I haven't been able to find bagels remotely as good at the ones I've had in NYC.... until now!! After much searching around, I read up on this place on yelp before coming. Looked quite promising and was! The first time I went I split 3 different bagels with cream cheese with a friend. I had the garlic bagel with sundried tomato and basil cream cheese, the honey oat bagel with strawberry cream cheese, and the everything bagel with almond amaretto cream cheese. The sundried and tomato one was okay, the strawberry one was good, but the almond amaretto was absolutely delicious! The next morning I came back in, but this time not for bagels but just a regular breakfast. I wasn't super impressed with the breakfast, that's why I docked it one star, but the bagels are as close as it gets to NYC bagels that I've found around here that is!

When my girlfriend and her family told me they were taking me to Bagel King, I knew they must really like me. Her and her family have been going to Bagel King for Sunday brunch for years. And I can sure see why. When you go, you need to ask for Nick. This guy is hilarious and extremely personable. He'll tell ya' what's good and probably will find a way to make fun of anything you order. Some notable items on the menu; Kings Breakfast, Fresh Fish Fantasies, and any of the bagels. The Kings Breakfast is where it;s at. Eggs, cheese, potatoes, and a bagel. The bagels are straight up NY style. The service is great, the prices are spot on and the food is tasty. What's not to like?

My family has been coming to this family-operated brunch spot for years. And not just once in a while - every Sunday. Some people see the initials BK and think Burger King, but I know better. And now that I live in Nashville, every Sunday I sadly crave me some Kings Breakfast Special. Eggs (with cheese if you so choose), potatoes, coffee, bagel, badabing, badaboom. Now THAT is a NY bagel! If you have the opportunity to try some of their delicious pastries, you should do so. The fresh chocolate or strawberry rugala, bear claws, knishes, black & white cookies... I could go on. All buttery, tasty goodness. I prefer the savory, higher-protein eggs and potatoes, but I've had my fair share of rugala, and your only regret to getting those is that you didn't buy enough. I personally believe that the Bagel King can do no wrong. They're quick, they're inexpensive, and they're always friendly. And they've recently redecorated the place which I love (although a little nostalgia sets in for the old, slightly worn tables that were inexplicably difficult to get in and out of). Part of it's charm, I suppose! Note: 1. Drinks are self serve - coffee isn't the best but it's gotten better. 2. Split if you get anything more than 2 eggs your way, unless you've got a serious appetite! 3. Ask for Nick :) 4. Rockyroad brownie is sinful (in a good way) 5. Lunch ain't bad either! Try their tuna salad sandwich for a nice, flavorful kick!

Bagel King is fantastic. I've been eating there for years and it is consistently great. I used to drive past 5+ bagel shops just to come here. Now I live in California, but I always make sure to visit Bagel King when I'm in Orlando.

  • Lori B.

Best bagels in Orlando and coming from a girl who grew up in NJ/NY, that's saying a lot! We go regularly for brunch and on Sunday it can be a bit of a wait, depending on what time you get there. All the staff is excellent, but Nick is a top notch server! Try the fish fantasy, but beware - the lox is REALLY salty. Go for the nova.

We were heading to visit some friends in Maitland one morning so I used Yelp to find a decent bagel shop in the area. I came across this one and it was way better than we expected! Also I had no idea it was a full service breakfast restaurant before we got there - so nice to see! You can't find a lot of those in Florida. This place is tied for the second best bagels I could find in Florida since moving from NJ. It it wasn't such a long drive I would be there more often! Absolutely worth a trip to, even if it's a little out of your way. And anyone who says you can't find New York-style bagels in Florida obviously hasn't been here!

  • Bryan A.

Ohhh the Bagel King...this used to be my every Sunday morning before Costco breakfast spot. Just then realized how NOT nutritious my favorite food from here can be. Go with the King's Breakfast. It's the best bang for your buck. 2 eggs your choice with cheese if you want, homefries, and choice of bagel with cream cheese or butter AND includes coffee or soft drink. I want to say it's $5.99. I did however get the meatlovers omelet on my last trip and I was disappointed. It was sooo bland and the meat was sparce. Not even hot sauce and ketchup could save it! But the bagel was still delicious. We still hit up this place every once in a while but definitely can't afford to eat here weekly (due to calories).

If you're from the Tri State area, like my husband, then this is the place for you. They have a large array of freshly baked bagels that makes your head spin a little as to which one to order. So I say order them all so you can pick which one your favorite will be, but I will tell you this, you won't be able to choose! My husband loves the onion and everything bagels! I love those as well, but I am partial to the chocolate chip bagel, and I could eat that every single day with cream cheese and coffee! Thank God they are far enough from me for this not to happen, because while I love the bagels, I don't want to look like one! They close at 3pm, so make sure you make your way there early! You won't regret it, and you'll also be supporting a local small business! Put down the Panera Bread, Dunkin Donuts and even the Einstein Bagels and come try a little bit of bagel heaven at the BAGEL KING!

Hands down the best place in Orlando for breakfast and Bagels!!

  • Justin I.

Awesome place for breakfast, brunch, or lunch especially after church on Sundays! Their food is great and the service is always spot on. They have these little styrofoam cups that you help yourselves to for drinks. Their to-go operation is very efficient. Every type of bagel you can think of. Always good deals on day old bagels to bring home for the week but I recommend eating in. The Pizza Bagel is my all time favorite menu item. You choose the type of bagel you want it on and they do the rest. No questions, and I won't give any more details. Just order one and thank me later. Frank's Special is another classic. It's named after Bagel King's founder Frank Perrotta (see website for full story) and consists of two eggs "your way", homefries, american, layered & stacked with tomatoes. Includes a toasted buttered bagel of your choice and you can add a layer of corned beef hash for $1.49. It's hard to go wrong on their menu. The location is a little iffy, in the strip mall called Casselberry Commons and the place is not super clean, including the restrooms, but it's understandable considering the high foot traffic. I would say weak ambiance, strong food. But give them a try. You'll be pleasantly surprised.

Having lived in Orlando for two years, I was sort of under this assumption that the only Jewish Deli worth frequenting was Toojays. Well, let me tell that this is simply not true. Bagel King is awesome deli in Casselberry that has all the amazing deli delicacies that I crave on a weekly basis. I came in on a Saturday afternoon, and was stoked to see they were offering a lunch special: 8.99 for a sandwich and soup (and not a half sandwich either, a whole!). As is my custom with all first deli visits, I ordered the Reuben. Perfectly buttered, grilled rye bread (made in house) encasing deliciously steamed corned beef smothered in russian dressing. It really was one of the better Reubens I have had... The matzah ball soup was equally as tasty. I always find myself adding salt to chicken soup, but the soup at Bagel King was perfectly salted. The broth itself contained tons of veggies and the matzah ball was well seasoned and chewy...just like mom makes um! On the way out the door, against the better judgment of my loved one, I decided to pick up some of the ridiculous looking chocolate Rugelach. It was not as good as the ones at Dorris's Bakery in Coral Springs, FL but it was nothing to shake a stick at either. I would try their marzipan horseshoes or the black and whites during my next sweet tooth attack. All in all, if you like toojays you will love bagel king. Go give it a try!

Best bagels in all of FL! The only place that's better than the NYC bagels I used to get when I lived there. They make their own yummy cream cheese spreads as well - all are amazing, but the best is the scallion and the bruschetta...mmm! Also - word to the wise: try it out on a Tuesday, which they call "Tornado Tuesday" and they offer 18 bagels for the price of 12. Holy dang. Good stuff! We freeze 'em. FYI, now that I've moved away, I have realized that these are the best bagels on earth and I was so spoiled. I miss it so much! They deserve every piece of this 5-star rating!

Recently had my first visit after living in the Orlando area for six years now, and I must say I was very happy with the experience. I started with the matzah ball soup which ended up being so great! Great broth with onion celery, and carrots that went paired wonderfully with the tennis-ball sized matzah ball. I followed the soup with tuna salad on an everything bagel. The tuna salad seemed to be made with a relish, and it had a sweet taste, on top of a chewy delicious bagel. My significant other ordered the Reuben. The meat was juicy and the rye bread buttery, it was great! The $8.99 lunch special was a great value. Will definitely be back, and 100% recommend!

The first time I went to Bagel King I knew that I would be a returning customer. I have tried many of their breakfast platters and all have been absolutely delicious. The knish's, bagels and pastries are amazing. Try the Andy Special..its egg and cheese on your choice of bagel and you can add some apple wood smoked bacon (a personal favorite) They also put a twist on the Cuban sandwich by taking out the pork and adding roast beef and turkey-ham, so yummy!! Highly Recommend!

This is a hard one for me to give one star to, but after my last three visits I really have no other choice. When I was a kid, Bagel King was the spot for a Sunday brunch with my family, as I got older it was the perfect place for skipping that first class of the day. Back then it was as close as I could get to the genuine NYC bagel experience, but after my breakfast there today I will never return. While the service was just fine, and very attentive the quality of my fiances meal coupled with the food poisoning shortly after the meal the only way to go is 1 star. Her franks special was cold yet under cooked, the cheese wasn't even melted, the potatoes were underdone and this was followed by the above mentioned illness. I can understand a busy restaurant making a mistake, but since it has been over a year since we were there with identical results then, i have to believe this is a common problem for them. The secondary location on Lakemont is no better, I am done with Bagel King.

I tried Bagel King for the first time yesterday, and had a great experience. I tried their rye and pumpernickel bagel, topped with Nova salmon, capers, tomatoes, and onion. My husband had a Mike's nest bagel which was like an "egg in a basket" topped with turkey bacon. Everything was fresh and tasty. Our only gripe was that he ordered a cappucino, and it comes from a self-serve dispenser. He also freaked when he saw non-dairy substitute powdered creamer...no real cream or half and half? O

Mmm mmm mmmmm. The Bagel King is deeeeelish. A New York style bagel deli in Casselberry Commons = happiness for Dan. They even have bialys! I don't think I've seen a bialy outside of New York. One of the great things about the Bagel King is the atmosphere. I haven't been in the early morning, but from the times I've been there, it's not a crazy mad rush like some other Bagel Deli's I've been to. It also is a little bit darker and post-modern. The servers are extremely nice. They're definitely adhering to Dan's culture of hospitality standards. The menu is very diverse. You can get bagel egg sandwiches, breakfast platters, lunch bagel sandwiches, deli meats, and delicious treats like elephant ears, brownies, new york crumb buns, croissants, chocolate chip bagels, etc. The bagels are very fresh. If you try a regular bagel at a place like Einstein or a supermarket and then compare it to a bagel at a bagel shop in New York, you will experience a vast difference. In Bagel King's case, they are definitely fresher and tastier than an Einstein bagel. The feeling and culture in the place makes it an overall better experience too. People should try it out for both breakfast and lunch. Rare roast beef is good there. Also, egg sandwich with turkey bacon or sliced pastrami mmm. Drinks are self serve, but the food is either to go at the counter or table service if you're dining in. They're open until 3 PM everyday except Sundays they close at 2 PM.

I love, love, love Bagel King! I come here all the time, and I'm never disappointed. The bagels are beyond yummy and they have a wide variety of flavored cream cheeses. My fav? That would be the Chunky Nova spread on an Everything Bagel (with sliced tomatoes!). Delicious! The place isn't that big and it does fill up pretty quickly on a weekend morning, so it's a good idea to either get there super early or a bit late - around 10am or so seems to be when they start slowing down a bit. A bit. Regardless of the crowd, the service is always prompt and friendly. Having self-serve drinks also means never waiting for a drink refill, which is perfect. When I visit during a slow time, I'll bring my netbook since they have free wi-fi. It's perfect for study groups - and I always seem to be part of one of those!

I got the Pastrami on rye and it came with a choice of side so I got some potato salad. The food was all very good and came out quick but it felt a little pricey for the amount of food. Service was also a bit off.

They are undergoing some improvements, and things are just a bit bumpy. Their new bagel counter prohibits them from hearing you on the other side of it...no really...seriously...their words, not mine. Not sure what the long term plan is. Also, if you were a regular before, the store was much more open, so they saw you when you came in. Now, the lines of sight aren't as good, so again it means a little more of a service challenge. On the flip - the bagels are great, and for basic items they offer good value. There's also a whole neighborhood vibe to this place that makes it a good find.

Amazing bagels, eggs, French toast, and potatoes. Grab a cup of coffee before you get here, it's watery.

While Bagel King does have amazing bagels that is only a part of the greatness. I stumbled upon this small place by accident and have been a loyal customer ever since. They have a very extensive breakfast menu that they serve all day. The sandwiches and salads are really good and they are huge. The pricing is very good. I love the bagel chips! Great bakery area too.

Oh how I love bagel king... your blueberry bagels... toasted, with cream cheese, have inspired me to break out in song and/or dance on more than one occasion. The bagels are big, the ingredients are fresh, the spreads are homemade, and whipped for your pleasure. The diner is always packed, and service can be slow, but one bite of the homefries and you'll know the wait was worth it.

Skip the other usual suspects of Casselberry breakfast joints and head here. The sandwiches are HUGE and delicious. So are the bagels. It takes a little while to get the food out due to the constant stream of customers, so you probably want to make sure you have a little time to spare. Wander over to the pastry counter and grab some of the fruit-filled rugelach, maybe pick up some of their awesome cream cheese and lox spread while you wait, and try not to fill up on the free samples before you get your meal. Yum.

Best bagels in town. Kings breakfast is great. The only downside is styrofoam cups and plastic plates. Are we on a picnic?

First the good: the bagels are authentic; appear to have been boiled (as they are supposed to be during the making), probably never fozen, and pretty decent. pastries are unique and good. Now the bad: having gone only one time -- a busy Sunday -- I received a bagel that in no way had been baked within the last 24 hours. Service was deplorable, to say the least (some food was served cold that clearly was supposed to be hot/wam). I brought home a potato knish for lunch... IT HAD MOLD ON IT. Seriously. Also, regarding the bagels, I said they were decent. In comparison to the average (say, Einsteins) they hold up well. In comparison to the elite (say, Essa Bagel in NYC), they aren't even close. They just aren't chewy enough (need higher gluten/protein flour), but as part of a breakfast sandwich or some other menu item, they're just fine. The place was packed and I can only guess that what got them to this point is no longer in practice. It's a shame.

So for some reason I decided to go to Orlando for a couple of days and one thing I do love about the place is the abundance of great bagel places. Bagel King is the real deal. None of that Panera, Einstein Bros faux bagel crap. The right amount of crusty outside and chewy goodness in the inside. I had my favorite, a lox and cream cheese bagel. Unfortunately Atlanta has a dearth of real bagel shops, if I ever find myself in Orlando again you'll find me at Bagel King

As a transplanted NY'er, I'll simply say that this is the closest thing to a NY bagel in Central Florida....period. We go there every few weeks to buy several dozen which we freeze for future use...they defrost wonderfully. They recently redecorated but they still offer the same great menu. The King's Breakfast is probably the best deal...and is actually the only thing I ever order when we eat there.

This place is great and I am so lucky to live within walking distance of its store front (but who actually walks in Orlando?). Their bagels are big and tasty and the cream cheese has exciting flavors. You gotta love their pizza bagels and brochette cream cheese spread. Their prices are better than Einstein's and you get sit down service. They also have a great coffee/beverage bar that you can go at as many times as you would like. A word of warning, they do not have French's Mustard. You gotta bring that on your own.
