If you're looking for a quiet night and some good food, this is the spot. Family owned restaurant that's been around for years. They take pride in their ingredients and food and really want you to enjoy yourself. It is a different culture and the service isn't what you'd normally get but they truly care about your experience at the end of the day.

Our experience was pretty nice here. My husband and I called ahead because we weren't sure of their hours (and it ended up being a late saturday dinner around 9:45). They said they were open for about another hour and we decided to give this place a try! I was a bit doubtful of the quality of the food at first when we walked in because of the zero people on a Saturday night (though it was really late) & a little comment made by the owner/server. He said "if you had made it for the buffet which is Friday & Sat from 6-9:30pm you would have had better food". I was left thinking to myself...are we getting second rate food now the buffet is over? I came to understand that by better food he was probably meaning more food for your dollar. The buffet is about $17 or $18 per person, and a regular dinner dish is about $14-$18 per person. I also personally found the owner's attitude to be a bit to the point and presumed most would read his demeanor as cock y (especially from reading previous comments), but again I believe it was a cultural thing- because service was great nonetheless. He was just really assertive about his food and extremely confident that theirs is the best around- as he proceeded to tell us that a millionaire who travels all over the world looking for the best hummus always ends up coming to Aladdins for the reigning chickpeas :) I must admit, the hummus did live up to his hype. It was VERY good. My husband was clearing the bowl and he normally hates hummus. As I remained open to the experience, I actual came to enjoy this forward, yet kind owner. My husband and I just really got the feeling that this food and the restaurant is his pride and joy-his baby. I ordered the vegetarian platter and the food was delicious and fresh. Lovely salad, great hummus, I enjoyed the spinach pie (with touches of grapeleaves in there I believe), and adventured with my palate to the other creamy-like sauce to the right of my platter (tabouleh?? Can't remembef if that's it). The second sauce was a bit strong for my palate. My husbands meat platter included lamb, chicken, and a few other tasty choices of meat. He wanted to try quail, but they didn't have any until Tuesday they said. I found the food fresh and authentic. The meat, for 9:45/10pm was flavorful and absolutely satisfying. I felt very full after the hummus app, the salad they serve, and the veggie platter- lots to take home. He didn't charge us for the appetizer at the end of the night- a discount of $6, & gave us some freshly baked falafel to take home with our left overs free of charge! That really made our night! We will be back to attempt the buffet one Saturday from now!

Absolutely by far one of the best places to go. The food was amazing and service was great. Can't wait to go back again. My sister is vegetarian so I always follow her lead. She picks the best places to eat... Even better I work a block away from here.

Shawarma!. I was running errands near here and wanted to give this place a try. I called in an order for pickup: beef shawarma sandwich. It was really really good! It had all the right flavors. I'm craving it right now! I also found out that they have a buffet on friday and saturday evenings that I can't wait to try. I recommend it based on the sandwich I had.

We enjoyed this restaurant tucked a way in a strip mall in Cassleberry. The food is very authentic. The Kanafhe they made for desert was outstanding. The meats seem to have been warmed up instead of being grilled when ordered but still tasted good. Was almost empty on a Saturday night. The service was good.

Excellent food! Started with hand made pita and hummus, outstanding! Someone else mentioned the salad and dressing... Oh my! That stuff should be bottled!!! Had the Chicken Couscous which includes a large portion of root veggies and squash, delish! The Shish Tawook (marinated fire grilled chicken with fire grilled veggies over basmati rice) was very nicely flavored and moist and the falafel on pita was great! I would have liked more veggies (fresh pickles, tomato, etc.) on the falafel pita.... Or I would have preferred the Falafel app with Tahini. It did take a while for the food although we were the only table.... Considering our waiter was also the chef (I believe)... It wasn't too long at all! He was very, very personable, funny and gave recommendations that were perfect! My other half was reluctant to try Aladdin... Being the much less adventurous eater that he is... nonetheless he was quite pleased! I sincerely hope this place gets more business so we can come back and try the Kafta, Shwarma, Shish Kabob and Spinach and Cheese pies. Oh and the Lamb!!! In the end I am so happy that the delicious aroma of our leftovers has filled my fridge!

The restaurants was empty the whole time. There is only one person there, he is the cook and the cleaner and the waitress, he is a little rude too. We ordered shawarma plate and falafel, the food was ok. But the falafel came without tahini sauce, and when I asked about it he said we are out of that. Also he never refilled our water, and when we asked for bread he brought it cold. I would never go there again, bad experience

Stop it. You are being a fool, every time you eat something from a different restaurant. We're all talking about it behind your back. Do yourself a favor and eat this incredible Lebanese food. Hummus, salads, vegetarian, amazing meats, it's all fantastic!

This place is awesome! Very good quality food, the chicken kabob I had here was awesome! They have so many different kinds of food here, and the salads were great. Service is great, and the grocery section is awesome. Real quality zaater sold here. Very good food if you come from the Middle East you will enjoy this place.

This place is a crowd pleaser. The vegetarian options are plentiful and delicious. I had the vegetarian combo and it was great. If you like meat they have everything from lamb kebob, which my friend said was great, and they even have Kibbeh Nayyeh (raw seasoned meat) for the adventurous. To top it off the service was great and our server very friendly.

Great for vegans and vegetarians! Everything is made fresh, nothing is frozen and the pita is puffy and soft. Veggie Platter has babaganoush, hommos, pitas, flavorful tabouleh, and the best falafels (crispy on the outside/moist on the inside); you have a choice between grape leaves or spinach pie (no cheese) - both are good but I'm partial to the former and my husband to the latter. The owner is very friendly and helpful. As far as the decor, I don't know why everyone points to how plain it is as if this is a downside. Yes, it's very simple, bit it's bright, fresh, and tasteful. I just wish it were closer to my home.

My friend and I shared a Baba Ganoush appetizer, falafel appetizer, and lamb shish kebob, all of which were fantastic. The lamb in particular (though overcooked from what I ordered, which I don't consider a huge deal) was absolutely delicious in flavor and very tender.

Fabulous light and delicious falafel. Fatoush is sweet and tangy, seasoned just right. Hummous smooth and creamy fresh. Kafta is hearty but light. Excellent soup and just made pita. Great first meal here.

We are vegetarians and we ordered Veg combo. That had a very good variety and everything was fresh and tasty. The owner was friendly and was confident about the quality of the food. We will surely visit again whenever we are in Altamonte Springs or vicinity

I grew up eating every Sunday dinner with a Lebanese family so I know a thing or two about Lebanese food. I ate lunch there today and I have to rave about the food. it was so fresh. I only eat lamb a few times a year as I find it's taste somewhat strong, but I had the grilled lamb kabob with Morrocan tea and it was so flavorful without that strong lamb aftertaste. I asked the owner/chef why it was so good and he told me it was because of how they marinate the lamb first. I asked for it well done, but he suggested medium rare so it wouldn't dry out the meat. His recommendation was spot on. The grilled veggies were great too. I have to talk about hsi home made pita bread. It was absolutely superb. I'm coming back Friday or Saturday for the buffet dinner. I can't wait to taste the other dishes he makes. The Morrocan green tea with mint was really good too. I was the only patron for lunch so there was almost no wait time. If you want to try really fresh cooking, find this place. You won't be disappointed.

I am so glad that I found this place! It is tucked away in a quiet shopping center off of busy Semoran Blvd. Aladdin's Cafe doesn't have the typical Middle Eastern restaurant atmopshere. There are no belly dancers, bright colors, or clouds of hookah smoke. It's a pretty plain looking restaurant. Don't let your first impression disuade you from keeping an open mind though... It is run by a Jordanian family and the owner has been there everytime I've gone. He sometimes serves the tables himself and circulates to talk to the customers. It is really nice that he recognizes his customers when they return. He is also very approachable if you want to ask him what he recommends. On Friday and Saturday nights they have an all-you-can-eat buffet of middle eastern specialties. It usually contains a few staples (hummus, tabouleh, pita bread) and a few specialties. The last time we went there was a glorious Jordanian concoction of garbanzos cooked in a tangy red sauce. There's always something different and it's always GOOD! If you truly love Middle Eastern food and are up for trying something a little different - check this place out!

I'd rate the actual food a 4 out of 5. The food is homemade and very healthy, what you'd expect from a mom & pop operation. If you're sick of big chain restaurants that basically serve glorified tv dinners, try this place. The decor: 2.5. Like a previous reviewer said, it's very plain. They remodeled, but you can still tell it's been there over 20 years. The service, a 4. The owner usually tends tables as well but his waitstaff (his relatives?) are very professional. If you miss the customer is always right mentality, you'll like this place. Oh, and the pricing: 3. On the surface it seems overpriced, to me anyway, but when I cook middle eastern food at home, you have to understand that some of these dishes take hours. And I mean HOURS! So to spare myself from spending 3 hours rolling grapeleaves and boiling it for another 2 hours, $15 a plate is not bad.

The best middle eastern food I have ever eaten....My first stop in orlando. I am dreaming of the tabouleh ,hummus, fatayer and falafel sandwich.....oh and the mint tea with lemon grass ........and the dessert with some kind of cheese of top. OMG, the food is so so so good.......

I agree with both reviewers, great restaurant, not too flashy. However, if you are going to try it out on a lunch break, order ahead. The food can take a while to prepare, but it's really amazing once it's done :) The beef sharwarma -both sandwich and dinner - is great, and the hummus is excellent.

This place is amongst the best middle eastern restaurants in Orlando. I especially love the fact that the owner is an extremely great guy and he usually tends the tables himself at nights. He knows how to take care of his patrons and always makes great recommendations. My friends and I have been going here for 3 years now and we keep coming back for one of the best Mezzah Platter in town.
