High Blood Pressure at Applebee's

Most of the foods served at Applebee's restaurants are high in sodium. Unless you are visiting the restaurant or dining here in the group, there are hardly any options from the main meals if you wish to keep your blood pressure in check. You can rely on a few salad options though. If lucky, you may find low-sodium ribs as well at the restaurant.

Foods to Avoid at Applebee's for High Blood Pressure

Avoid Green Goddess Wedge at Applebee's. Broccoli Cheese Soup and French Onion Soup contain over 1000mg sodium and hence must be skipped as well. Skip all the chicken dishes and seafood at Applebee's except Grilled Chicken Breast and Baked Haddock without sides respectively. You must also skip Brunch Burger, Quesadilla Burger, Triple Bacon Burger, and Whiskey Bacon Burger at Applebee's. High sodium intake can be lethal for a high blood pressure candidate. Avoid ordering foods that contain over 1000mg sodium at Applebee's, especially if you're dining alone.

Food is passable. Fish tacos contained easily three times the cabbage vs the fish. A salsa verde is a good accompaniment for fish tacos, unfortunately these are served with a "creamy poblano," which seems to be code for almost-spicy ranch. Served in a fabulously bland, white flour tortilla, I'd be easily convinced I was actually at McDonalds. Cucumber and Tomato Salad was short on too-finely-diced for what should be a chunky salad tomatoes and far too much black pepper. We waited thirty minutes for a refill and twenty for the check. SIGH.

I was with a group of 24 on a Saturday night, and the place was full. They accommodated us (we did call ahead), and the service was pleasant, efficient, and flawless. We ordered everything from Ribs to Fish and it was all good! We had a great time.

They have a decent sized bar with 5 HDTVs and more in the dinning area. There is a video game area and they have free Wifi. They got 12 different beers on tap and is a full liquor bar. Friendly staff and patrons.

This location seems to ALWAYS get something wrong. Compared with the Brooksville location, this place needs an overhaul in service. Most of the wait staff just kinda go through the motions and are very unattentive. This is also the only location I know of where the garlic parmesan wings do not have a little shredded parmesan sprinkled over the top.

This is my first time in one of these and not in such a hurry to go back. Our waitress was a bit scatter brained but nice. I found the food bland and doesn't look at all like the menu. Stick to the burgers here.

Bland shrimp, cold rice and no flavor. Great waitresa, Brittney. Chicken tenders not good but good fries. Not much choice in this area and had come from sonny's BBQ and after waiting 1st minutes there with no acknowledgement decided to try beef 'o'gradys. If your Hungry get off at another exit.

I'm not a food snob, but I worked six years 'back of the house' in fine dining establishments. I've not had ONE bad thing from this place. In fact, it's been amazingly fantastic. Staff has always been lighting fast and friendly, and owner is accommodating with the MANY tv's they have all around the place. I'm not much of drinker, but the few toddies I've had were bomb-diggity. Highly recommend the plain grilled fish w/broccoli and rice, wings, burgers and salads. That's all I've had so far. Love this place. Oh, and I'm from several states over in town working a temp job, so I've no vested interest in this place...just calling it how I see it.

Boneless wings were hard and dry tonight for our Honey BBQ order. 25 minutes passed before the waitress the came with a check, not even to ask if I wanted my glass refilled. I don't mean she was busy running around..She simply wasn't around. This was on par with the first visit 3 weeks ago. Will not be local patrons of this location.

Not my favorite, but it is a lifeboat In a sea of nothing around! The burgers are big, but a bit greasy. The at osphere is sports, but the restaurant was clean.

We had never been to a Beef O Brady's before, but it's now my new favorite place for good burgers. We had the Black & Bleu, and they were beyond delicious. Service was fast and friendly, the place was very clean, and I can't wait to go back again.
