Wow! I can't believe I've been driving by this place all this time without stopping. By far the best Mexican food I've had in Florida. I have a disability that's made it difficult to cook for my kids. We've exhausted carry out in the area. A gem of gluten free food! The meat was of high quality. The gordita was amazing. My daughter got fajitas and the box was packed with chicken breast. We got glass bottles of coke, all for $19. There is a small charge if you use a credit card.

I've had the tacos and gorditas...filled with carnitas, carne asada, and carne al pastor...ALL amazing!

Excellent tacos in Brandon. Nothing fancy and instead of a bus it is a step van. I cannot recommend anything on the menu except for the steak tacos. I cannot bring myself to try anything else. Been coming here for about two months and the crowd is slowly building as word gets out.

This taco stand is pretty official. They have more taco flavors than any other taqueria in the Tampa area that I've seen. All the basics as well as tinga (spicy chicken), lechon, (pulled pork), a Mexican sausage/pork combo and more. About a dozen or so flavors to choose from at $1.75 each. I went for what I usually get so I can compare to my other favorite places - two carnitas and one bistec and an horchata. Let's start with the positives. The horchata was spiced properly and not grainy. Some of the best around. The bistec was above average. Now the carnitas...good flavor but slightly oversalted and slightly overcooked and too greasy. The tortillas are doubled up and they are made from scratch. I just didn't like how much grease they soaked up. They really filled them up with meat and I didn't finish the third one due to the grease. If I go back again, I'd skip the carnitas and try some of the more unique flavors. They also carry a few desserts such as flan, chocoflan, tres leches and cheesecake. They looked tasty and called my name but not tonight. Besides horchata, they also have tamarindo and jamaica and a couple coolers filled with many other bottled sodas and juices. Their menu has huaraches, flautas, gorditas, coctel de camarones and more. The setup is pretty cool. It's almost like a "Taco Bus" with a covered patio with plenty of tables and a TV. The service is friendly and the girl earned bonus points for thinking I was Latino and saying my Spanish was perfect (far from it). I will give this place a stamp of approval...***APPROVED***...and would recommend it if you're in the Brandon area looking for Mexican.

De-freaking-licious! I'm from California where we have great Mexican food and my Fiancé and I have been checking out recommended places like Taco Bus and California Taco to try and find that piece of home, and let me tell you...THIS.IS.IT! Seasoned, marinated and tender meat tacos with good old onion and cilantro. They have other good stuff too, but those tacos...mmm :0)

This is the best and most authentic Mexican food in the area. The tacos are slammin! I've tried them all. The roasted chicken was ok, but the tacos are incredible.

Excellent authentic Mexican. Barbacoa taco, steak torta, chorizo chalupa, all perfectly executed. Best Mexican food I've had in Tampa Bay.

I'm a hardcore foodie and I've lived in the mecca of foodies in Manhattan .... I highly recommend this place to all my fellow foodies out there...there is a long wait after you order but the food is worth the wait... what an explosion of flavor..... flower taco is the right move

We're regulars and used to good food truck food (recently from Brooklyn) and this is hands down the best Mexican we've had since we've moved back to Florida. I grew up in brandon and wish we had this back in the 90s! The chicken taco loco with pork is the best, but big and very heavy, so you can definitely share. Try the horchata as well, refreshing and delicious. Another favorite is the gordita. We love this place- it's a brandon jewel.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
