What a shit hole Ceiling falling down kitchen people not washing their hands after touching chicken. Baskets if they have any at all our greasy plates are greasy silverware is greasy. I've been to the city dump that's cleaner than this. Food is overpriced drinks are overpriced save your money and go to the beach.

Good pub food and a warm atmosphere. We've driven past this place for years but never stopped because we thought it was a biker-bar. We were welcomed in, our preferred game was turned on one of the nearest TV's and we enjoyed a few beers and a fantastic chicken sandwich. Prices are a little steep for chicken; $9 sandwich with no fires, but overall a good place for burger and beer.

This is a very underrated place. I hesitate to write it up because I'd like to keep it to just me and my friends. But it's just too good to keep secret. Wings are just excellent. "Opie" style is too hot, but "Wow" is just right for me. You REALLY need to check this place out on a Tuesday (wing) night. Service is friendly and prompt. Recently remodeled too. Oh, and get the Brownie with ice cream dessert! OMG!

Oh my... I stopped in here on the way to a meetup after a particularly rough day. I was sort of stuck in the area so I figured I would just grab a beer. When I went inside there were a few children sitting around, one was unhappy and screaming. The other was clearly trying to play mother to the first. It was a strange addition to the ambiance, for sure. I sat down to order a beer at the bar and they didn't have much of a selection. Standard dive bar selection, I suppose, all domestics that I could tell. Desperate, I have to confess, I drank a bud. But in my defense it was $2 happy hour for Miller and Bud bottles (Between 5 and 6). I looked over there menu quite a few times. The prices caught me off guard. $8-9 for a sandwich and fries are $3 extra. Soups were $5-7. I want very hungry and didn't feel like paying those prices for pub food so I just got a baked potato, that couldn't be that expensive, right? Wrong. 4.50 for one smaller than you would get at Wendy's. Ah, well. There is a reason I obsessively use Yelp before choosing a place, but sometimes you lack the options.

This place defines incompetence. Waited 10 minutes for someone to ask if I wanted anything (several servers walked by me oblivious). After I did order - server forgot to put in order. Just not worth the hassle

The bathroom sink fell on my one of my best friend's daughter and a friend of hers and sent them to the ER. The owner then blamed the girls and didn't even comp their dinner. Doesn't sound like a place I care to eat at. Probably just better to pass on this place. Safety first!!

On July 28, 2015 my family and I were dining at Smitty's Pub and Grille, located at: 3812 Manatee Ave West, Bradenton, FL. Since we dine there weekly, we have become very fond of this establishment. It is a safe environment and we are usually able to relax and enjoy our dinner with children. I'm sure you understand that when a family finds a restaurant that is kid friendly it's easier to go out to dinner there instead of other places. It's a relaxing atmosphere and the children are able to play games in the game room. We have turned our head on several occasions where the restaurant was dirty or the service was poor but that night was the final straw. I'm concerned about the wellbeing of all the patrons there. As my 2 girls (both age 7) were washing their hands in the women's restroom the entire sink fell on them. One of the girls ended up in the ER for 3 hours last night due to this incident. The owner of the place NEVER ONCE came to our table to check on the girls or apologize. When our server informed him about it, he went straight to the women's bathroom to assess the damages. After about five minutes, he finally came out and accused our girls (two girls of age 7...around 55lbs a piece) of ripping the sink off the wall. He actually believed they were out to ruin the plumbing of this establishment. I used to overlook when they had plumbing issues and mandated that their servers tell patrons to use Smoothie King (next door) if they needed a restroom. The callous owner of this establishment never even sought us out to comp our check. We were left to pay the full price of our meal, and he stated we should be 'grateful' that he didn't charge us for the repairs. We filed an Incident Report with the Manatee County Sherriff's Office, The Health Department, OSHA and The Better Business Bureau. After the Sherriff took my information I went back in to take pictures and the owner had already put the bracket back in the wall and covered the broken pipe so as to look like it wasn't as bad as it was. Not only do they view their patrons safety as insignificant, it is imperative that plumbing, running water and safety occur. here. There is only 1 sink in the ladies room and they continued to operate the restaurant without a working restroom sink. I will NEVER go there again. I'll be happy to send you pictures of the sink on the floor... You would think that if children 'ripped' it out of the wall that there would be broken tiles everywhere... but no it literally just fell off the wall onto children. 8.6.15 Update: The Florida Department of Business and Regulations inspected Smitty's this week and found SEVERAL violations. 1st time at this place it sucked it is more a bar then anything.i got the turkey wrap no flavor and the chips that came with it were stale. We had four different waitresses if u r sitting at the tables and u r not a regular customer u might want ti find another place to eat.

Waited 45 minutes to get our food asked the waitress and she said oh did you order food. Long story short they lost our ticket even though there were only two other tables. We left without eating and will not be back.

Poor management! They care more for the bottom dollar than doing what is right for their customers. Recently an incident took place where a bathroom sink fell off the wall and on to a young child. The family had to take the child to the ER. Instead of offering to comp their meal or even offer a simple condolence the manager accused this very young (7 yrs old...I think) child of intentionally tearing the sink off sink off the wall. I've worked in the restaurant business and have also managed companies for many year. This behavior is completely out of line, unprofessional, and in everyway unacceptable! On principle I cannot endorse or support this restaurant in any way.

The locals claim that Smitty's has the best chicken wings in Bradenton. Some people even claim that they have the best chicken wings in the world. Ummmmmm....yeah, I beg to differ. I asked the bartender, that was our waitress for the night what their most famous sauce was for the wings. She said "medium," so we went with that. There is barely any sauce on these wings. To order extra sauce costs extra, but it was worth it to have the wings taste like something other than naked chicken. The Blue Cheese is complimentary with the wings and is house-made, tastes even better than the wings. We also ordered nachos with house-made chili on top. They just tasted like some homemade nachos, nothing fancy. Just so you know, the service is truly tragic, non-existent. We watched a table of people walk out that were sitting next to us. The staff will pretend like you do not exist, so here is how to deal with the service issues: 1. Grab your own menu and silverware near the side door. Don't even bother waiting for someone to bring it to you, because that will not happen. 2. Figure out what your table wants to order and go up to the bartender at the bar and place your orders for the whole table. 3. Once the food is ready, usually the bartender will bring the food out to you. Possibly even the cook, because the server is non-existent. 4. You can find ketchup and plates stacked on other tables, you will need to get up and get those yourself as well. 5. Go to the bar and get the check from the bartender and pay once you are done. 6. Do you feel like tipping for this self-service? Well, if so, you are very generous. Just think of eating at Smitty's as some sort of dine-in/take-out hybrid experience, but you have to tip like take-out. What people come here for is the atmosphere, not the food. Straight out of the 80's, dark, beer-reeking atmosphere. The beer is also decently priced. Would I return to Smitty's? I would have to say no. However, if they were the only place open on Christmas day and I was desperate for some naked chicken wings, then maybe.

Waited 35 minutes for our wings. Table next to us had 6 patrons came in after us and received their food before us! Server didn't ask us if we wanted anything else to eat or drink. Had to get our own drinks! This was our 2nd visit within a week. My husband wanted for me to try again. The 1st time there I had was the French dip sandwich. Meat dry and very bland taste. My husband had the hamburger. No complaints with hamburger. Bottom line- the food and service stunk!! I will not be going back!!

Went on my lunch break. Only customer at the table and was ignored for a solid 10 minutes while the bartender shot the shit with some regulars. I guess she felt intimidated by me because she had a bitchy attitude. Thats a shame...I'm a great tipper. I've been a waitress. My food was ok...nothing to go crazy over...but her attitude ruined it for me.

Every time we come here the food is great....the first time we came here a couple years ago the service and food we got that day was horrible so we never came back. Well we decided to give it a try again and was pleasantly surprised. I recently held a work conference at my office and suggested to everyone 5 different local places we could go to lunch and everyone showed up At smitty's and loved the food. We wound up going 3 times the whole weekend and were never disappointed.
