Just opened up. The service was very good. Lots of high school kids working here and they seem to like their job. Very helpful and nice. Enjoyed a Number 1 Burger combo. The shoe string fries were hot and crispy and the burger had 2 thin tasty patties with pickles and onions. My husband raved about his chocolate shake. Really good service for a brand new place. We'll be back.

The service was horrible & they were not friendly. We had to ask for napkins b/c they overflowed a shake we ordered & handed it to us while it was dripping everywhere. I thought the burger was good, but the French fries were cold. My husbands patty melt was so greasy, he only ate 2 bites. The bread was soggy, too. I will definitely not go back.

Good burgers and fun custard choices. They are very supportive of veterans and active duty service members and offer a discount to both. Highly recommended.

Freddy's... I love you so!! I was visiting family in B-town this past weekend and what did I see as we exited 75 at SR70? IS that.... FREDDY'S? By gosh it is! (I'm from TX and we had a Freddy's in my town here - which I LOVED, but they sadly went out of business - I blame the in-n-out that opened next door, but that's a story for another review). Needless to say I was pretty happy that my old friend Freddy had another shop opened up here on the gulf coast since we come here quite a bit so if I can't get Freddy's in my town at least I can get it when I'm visiting the fam. The burgers are good - the patties are very thin, but they get a nice crispiness to them when they cook them up on the flat top. If you're real hungry get a double, but if you're saving room for a giant custard (you should be!) then a single will probably be enough. The fries are super thin, but they are tasty and there is a special "fry sauce" over by the fountain drinks that is worth checking out. Frozen custard... cold, creamy, smooth... YUM! The options for this are sundae (custard with things on it) or concrete (which is pretty much the custard-y equivalent of a blizzard with all the stuff mixed together) I pretty much always get the Hawaiian sundae which is vanilla custard with strawberries, coconut, pineapple and macadamia nuts on top (how do you go wrong with that? I mean.. come on!), but i recently tried a cracker jack concrete and it was pretty good (cracker jacks, caramel and peanut butter mixed into vanilla custard.) Someday I'm going to try the "dirt and worms" - I know you're like WHAT? EWW! calm down its just gummy worms and oreo crumbs which is about the only way I'm eating dirt and worms ever I'm guessing. Go. Eat. Love. You can thank me later ;)

Burgers are great but the service has really gone south since they first opened. The girl taking our order couldn't have looked any more annoyed that we were there and literally rolled her eyes every time we added something to our dinner (sorry 5 people can mean 5 times the food....crazy i know). At any rate, the steak burgers are very good quality meat. They use a double steam table grill that gets crazy hot and sears up the meat really nicely. The fries are thin cut shoestring like Steak 'n Shake however the burgers are comparable at all. Freddy's is much much better. Overall I really like this place but the horrible service left a bad taste in my mouth tinight

Burger great but dogs lacking. The dog was warm and there were toppings but didn't seem cooked; more like a bunch of premade toppings thrown together. Burger was great with good balance of toppings and crispy beef.

Steakburgers is what they call it. Sounds about right. The Freddy sauce appears to be ketchup and mayonnaise. The fries are crispy and cut thin. The chocolate custard is rich and delicious. The aforementioned along with a drive-thru window make this place as good as a fast food joint can get. Their single patty California style steak burger without onions is fantastic. The patty isn't greasy, the Freddy sauce is tangy, there's lettuce, tomato (two fresh slices!), American cheese....perfect flavor and healthy combo ;). The shoe string fries with Freddy sauce is a must. I'm seriously addicted. The custard must be chocolate. Vanilla is not nearly as good as the chocolate. Skip the chicken tenders, too much batter and dry... stick with the burger and fries.

The night I spent with Freddy's vanilla custard was unforgettable. I would love to share details, but I am a gentleman and won't kiss and tell. Just know that it was magical.

Stopped in the Sarasota store. Burgers, fries and custard were all good. Store needs some leadership. Tables needed wiped down, sweet tea was out the entire time we dined and just overall attention to detail and maintaining pristine surrounding is required.

We ordered a Chicago style hot dog and it was good except for the stale bun. I also ordered a concrete and there was no peanut butter cup on top or at the bottom only in the middle and my spoon was so cheap that when I tried to dig for the peanut butter cups it snapped in half! The filtered water was good no complaints there!

I've been here a few times so after going today I decided to finally post my review. Freddy's food is similar to Steak-N-Shake (but better), the custard is very similar to Culver's (delicious). I only gave 4-stars because I've had In-N-Out which is better. The service I've experienced here has been great. When I first came in town & stopped at Freddy's they offered me a sample of the custard with my food order which encouraged me to come back. The seasoning on the fries is yummy but a little too salty for me so I like to order my fries with salt & then get a cup of cheese or that special fry sauce they have. The food is always so fresh! NEVER eat McD's, Wedny's BK burgers again, EAT FREDDY'S! You'll love it!

Freddy's is that strange combination; fast food that actually tastes good. Can't really think of many fast food restaurants where I go for the taste (Chik-Fil-A and Five Guys exceptions?) rather than the convenience / value. This is only semi fast in that food is made / assembled to order while you wait a few minutes. But... The Freddy's double ($6.29 w/drink and FF) was old style diner delicious. Two burgers are pressed and worked into the griddle top until they have just the right amount of caramelized charred goodness. The standard style here is with a buttered bun, mustard only, onions and two horizontally cut pickles so they cover the burgers. Every bite was a bit of heaven and reminded me of how real diner burgers were years ago. The combo included a mountain (enough to share) of shoe string fries cooked just right. Freedie's features a "secret" fry dipping sauce which seems strikingly similar to Russian dressing, but a nice touch. My wife had the Chicago Dog, a Vienna beef dog ($2.49) with mustard, relish, onions, peppers, celery salt, pickle and tomato. She enjoyed it and it really is a good value but think you need to grow up around Chicago to appreciate it. All the cold toppings make for a less "hot" dog! She'd go for a burger next time just because mine was so damn good. They also have chicken in various forms, veggie burgers, cheese fries, chili fries, onion rings etc. Then of course they specialize in custard in many styles and topping choices. Those sundaes and cones looked great. The burger did enough to elevate the monoglycerides, diglycerides, triglycerides and a few "rides" that haven't even been discovered yet, so the custard will have to wait but that burger was worth it and we will be back.

Came here tonight for frozen custard and although it was quite tasty the crew that was working really grossed us out. One of them was sweeping the "front of the house" and then going behind the counter and helping out with the ice cream service. Then another one was handling the money and then putting together food orders. Needless to say we will be calling the comments phone number on our receipt to let them know about this!! Not sure we will be back.

This place is just like Steak N' Shake (SNS) except better; much better. The double steak burgers come with cheese, onions, pickles and mustard on a butter toasted bun. The meat is flattened and cooked on a flat top so there's a bit of a crunch on the edges. The combo includes a drink and a stack of shoe string fries. The combo is priced higher than at SNS, but you get more food for the money. Ordering is simple, you order at the counter, pay for it and wait for your number to be called, then pick up the order. The staff were polite and the restaurant was clean including the restrooms. I was told I had to try the frozen custard, but I was full so I'll save that for the next trip.

Love this place, I brought my son here as a reward for a great report card and we just loved it. The place is clean, tables, bathroom even the trash cans are clean. Prices are great too!!! Service is warm and friendly, they were very patient with me as it was my first time. Great music added to a relaxing atmosphere, WILL DEFINITELY BE BACK....I recommend this place to everyone.

First time trying a Freddy's. In truth, I was pretty excited to read their menu selling Vienna Beef Chicago Dogs. However, after ordering the meal I was slightly disappointed. I mean, I do understand some restaurants have their own interpretation of what foods are according to what they think. Let me say, a hot dogs' tradition comes with a bun! It is known since the existence of the hot dog as the second basic item! Freddy your piece of white toast wrap only half around the wiener is a failure! I don't know where they get that concept. Truly, If it weren't for having the Vienna Beef wiener in the slice of toast it wouldn't be a meal at all. Okay, they cooked the wiener just right and the condiments are as a true Chicago Dog can get. I'll give you that. Also, I loved their shoestring fries. Perhaps, next time I will try their burgers they at least come with a bun. The place itself is clean and the cashier/order person was friendly and courteous!

I drive by Freddy's 3-4 times a day and visit the Starbucks next door regularly. I often smell the meat cooking on the grill. The aroma calling, and pulling me to stop in. Since I'm supposed to limit fried food and red meat you can understand my dilemma. When I have withdrawals during the week, I stop in for their "steak-burger". It's so satisfying that if I smoked, I would lite one up.

Freddys is pretty good though extremely overpriced considering what you get however I do not feel this business to survive at this location unless they deal with the employee issue that continues to brew and every restaurant in this building. Look at Chickfila down the street and compare the employee attitude and courtesy that they offer which is lacking at this establishment

Dirty. Poor management. Mold at the soda machines. I've gone since they opened this location and we have seen it go down since.

Located in the old Arby's restaurant is the newest burger place. I had the double cheeseburger which came with shoestring fries which were great. The burger is juicy but not greasy. This is a place you have to try and I'm sure you will be back!

It takes me longer to drive to Freddy's than it does to get to St Pete, but you will still find me getting Freddified on their custard Concrete. Like a Blizzard, but with flavor and class. My favorite is the Hawaiian Concrete; vanilla custard, macadamia nuts, chopped pineapple, fresh strawberries, and coconut. It is like crack-rox, I have to eat it immediately or I feel like I will die. The custarxiety sets in--- and I have stubbed my toe and fallen in the parking lot while eating it, almost rear-ended a truck full of lawmowers while eating it. Even gotten hollard-dat while driving and eating my Hawaiian Custard. Yes, it is that awesome. Freddy's is a chain, whatever. The "steak burgers" are similar to another chain, which we will not discuss. They will offer you Fry Sauce for your shoestring fries covered in seasoning salt. You can accept the sauce, if you like Thousand Island dressing. The hot dogs are also classy, served up like a fancy lobster roll that a Brooklyn Hipster would hand you. A brick of plat-top griddled soft brick bread, buttered and cut in half. Inside this bread brick is the filet of hot dogs, no toppings needed. Just a garlicky-textural experience. Try it. Drive-thru service is not as good as the dining area service.

Solid fast food. My favorite thing here is the fry sauce. It's probably just ketchup and mayo, but non-the-less, I really enjoy it. It reminds me of Steak and Shake, just a little higher priced.

Always a great choice for a "classic" style burger. Hot seared patties and skinny fries are great. It's hard to make a statement out there in the burger world but Freddy's does it. I can't help but stop in with the kids for a quick bite. Upgrade from the arches... Is it still fast food?

I'm not a fan of the burgers. They feel rather insubstantial when compared with their closest competitor: Steak and Shake.

Freddy's is the Yuppie version of Steak N' Shake. It has simple, fresh food that comes out fast and is priced so that you can bring the family on your way to Lowe's. We went on a Saturday around noon and it was packed. The staff was comprised of high school kids and they were polite and efficient. It's great there. Nothing wrong with Freddy's for a quick bite!

Freddy's is the best! Fries are always hot, steak-burgers are on point and always greeted with a smile at the drive-thru window. My most recent visit, I ordered a root-beer float. Next time, i'll have to remember to ask for more soda. Can't wait to visit again. A family favorite for sure!

Delicious... Love the burgers. Can't say enough good things about the super skinny fries especially with the Freddy's Fry Sauce. Leave room for dessert, the best custard around. The staff are all very friendly and are quick tohelp or answer any if your questions! A must stop everytime we're in the area!

My kids and I are addicted to this place! The mini concretes are a perfect little snack! Tons of choices! The Freddy Fry Sauce is amazing, I can seriously drink that stuff!

I'm always on the look out for a good burger and I was hoping this place would be decent since it was close to home. I think I hit some of the "newly opening" issues that the other reviewers did not. But on my first visit, I ordered a single cheeseburger California style and instead got a double with no cheese. Also, the patties were dried out and a bit crunchy around the edges. Kind of odd bout the crunchy part, but really disappointing on an over cooked dried out patty. Which looking at the other reviews is not what they experienced. I'm sure they are going for in and out with the "California" style, but as someone who grew up eating double doubles in LA they still have some work to do. Why not two stars with all this bitching? Well, the tomato, onions and lettuce were actually very good. The bun was reasonable but nothing to rave about. So based on that and the fact they might still be showing early opening jitters, I'll go with three stars. I do want to try their dogs and custards, but I'm in no rush to go back for a burger, even if they do get my order right this time.

I have eaten here a few time and really like the place. the fries are excellent and the steakburgers are very good. Surprisingly, I had the original double twice, I liked them better without cheese because the have so much flavor on their own the cheese is too much. But either way highly recommended.

The hamburgers were thin over cooked and hard. The shoe string fries were good. I would not go back there. Service was quick and worker were friendly.

West Coast In 'n Out lovers rejoice! This is the closest I've found to that taste here in the East. And the shakes rock! Everything here is awesome. And making it all better is something you won't find in most burger places...friendly service that knows how to listen to you!

Given a 5 for price for value. It's not the greatest burger and fry you'll come across, but it most certainly is for the price and speed. Their fry sauce is a pretty good variation on the in n out spread for those familiar with it. Certainly worth the quick stop off I-75 while driving through.

A new place in Bradentucky for "fast" food. I put the quotes around fast because it's really good food served quickly. Much like Steak 'n Shake, they make steak-burgers (fresh ground steak flattened out on the grill). The shoestring fries are always hot, but like all shoe string fries, they cool off quickly. They are seasoned quite well and they have "fry sauce" for the French fries which is not unlike Outback's® bloomin' onion sauceWhich I think is tasty. The other sandwiches are as good as the burgers, and always fresh. Now for the good part.....it's real name is Freddy's FROZEN CUSTARD and Steakburgers. If you have never had frozen custard, that right there is a good reason to go there. They have vanilla and chocolate with a variety of ingredients to make a "concrete" which is like the DQ Blizzard on steroids. Custard does not have a lot of air infused into it like DQ and the innumerable fro yo places. A small cup or cone feels like it weighs a half a pound. The only negative I have is that they nickle and dime you on the condiments for the sammiches. They come with mustard, onions and lengthwise slices pickles. Anything else is twenty or thirty cents extra. The flip side of that is the burger is so good, IMHO, it doesn't need anything else. My knock against the Chicago dog is that it's not served on a steamed poppy seed role and it doesn't have the neon green relish. The dog is an excellently prepared Vienna Beef® hot dog. Other than those two things, I think Freddy's is an overall EXCELLENT,

Possibly the worst burger I've ever eaten. A single cheeseburger for $3.40 that had a tasteless, bone dry patty. The edges were curled like a poorly fried egg. The pickle slices were bigger than the patty. Not an ounce of flavor. Do yourself a favor and go 500 yards further to McD's and spend $1.00.
