Only tried their breakfast, but is was very good and fast! The 2 women that staff the restaurant are very friendly and accommodating. Good comfort food! We live in the neighborhood and have visited twice in 1 week. Let's support our local restaurants that are not a chain!

First off, the staff at Chickadee's is WONDERFUL! I was there alone and waited on by two women who were warm, friendly and fun. The food was actually pretty good, basic diner food that I would go back for, if not for the music blaring. Just a word of advice, not all your customers are going to be fundamentalist christians and want to listen to that while we eat.

Get there early if you want the biscuits and gravy, I bet they are good! The French toast and home fries were great! Will definitely try it again!

Closest you will get to a Yankee diner in Bradenton. Great menu selections and breakfast all day long. When they make a sandwich, it is almost a 2-day sandwich that you can take home with you. Prices are appropriate for the site and style and very reasonable. You won't see a NY diner 15 page menu but you won't be disappointed at the choices. Located where the Peppermill was, it is an improvement. Service as good as you would expect from a family style place and Spiro was a joy to talk with as we reminisced about all the places he worked in from Queen, NY Greek diners to everything in Miami and other Florida locations. Jeanne was a hoot as she talked about her escaped white cockatiel and her adventures in trying to get a male mate for her other caged female cockatiel. This is NOT upscale fancy schmancy dining but real food at a warm, friendly, very clean location. Definitely going back for dinner AND breakfast too (anytime)!

Nice local eatery, clean with good food, reasonably priced. BUT if the loud lady is working forget about having any conversation with your companions.

Went to Chicadee's today for breakfast. The breakfast was excellent, best omelet I have had in this area for quite a while. I realize that being able to serve a very good breakfast should not be hard, try some of the other places in the area, for example IHOP on SR 64 (LOUSY SERVICE). Here the quality of the ingrediants was high and everything, especially the home fries was properly prepared. The service as mentioned by others is extremely friendly and do they ever watch over you to make sure that if you should need anything that you will get it quickly. We had been there once before and that visit was also a good experience. We are planning to return for at least lunch sometime. While what they are doing is only what you should be able to expect at any restaurant, they are leaving their competition in the dust. One last comment, the music that was referred to by Lori B. was MIA, they must have read what you said and reacted to it.

Good neighborhood place with consistent food and service. Would rate higher if it weren't for the owner publicly humiliating her staff. Praise in public, punish in private.

Walked in and felt like I was at my aunts house. Welcomed quickly and felt at home. Te menu is simple but always look for daily specials. Coffee was hot and food has full taste. I had to add salt but hey I'd rather add than say it was over saturated with season. Smiles all around.

The staff was very welcoming and the service was quick. I really wanted to like it more than we did. Undercooked pancakes and a hair on my plate. The sausage links were good. French Toast nothing remarkable. Sadly, won't return. Staff was the only reason I gave them 2 stars not 1.

Chickadee's is a mom-and-pop breakfast and lunch place with a very friendly staff in a strip mall in Bradenton. Mom and pop were both there. For breakfast we had pecan pancakes with bacon, and a Greek (feta, spinach, tomao) omelet. The pancakes were okay, a bit on the overly chewy side, but contained plenty of chopped pecans. The additional charge for pancake add-ins seems perhaps a bit high. The bacon was fine, crisply. Good but nothing special. The omelet contained generous portions of feta, tomato and spinach. The vegetables were fresh and the feta was not too salty. The cinnamon toast it came with was fine. The omelet was better than the pancakes, I think, but I did need a carbo-load at the time. Coffee was better-than-average diner coffee, and they kept it full. Maybe not the best breakfast I've had in the area, but a good place. Worth another visit when we're nearby.

Awesome. Not very packed but good food. They even have SOS(creamed chipped beef). Hard to find that these days and the prices are decent too! Must visit for breakfast!

I chose this place today because I am tired of the chain restaurants. I was very pleasantly surprised! Home made food with personality. If you want to try something different then this would be the spot. The grits are amazing!!

The Loud-Lady was working tonight. We went in and four tables were occupied, one of them waiting on food. LL talked to customers, disappeared in the kitchen and bussed tables while we sat and sat...for over 15 minutes. We each ordered the pork loin. Turns our the pork loin is chicken fried pork...huh? Food was not great, service was horrible. Too many places nearby to ever return.

Very loud woman, owner's wife, was combative when there was a problem with the food. The food is average, but needs salt and pepper. To be fair, we have only eaten breakfast here. We will not be back.

Just moved my parents to Bradenton and it's my new go to Greek diner. Very friendly staff and owners and food is excellent.

We stopped in on a trip from Sarasota to Charlotte. The food was great, however the experience was ruined due to a woman working there. She may have been the owner as she mentioned her husband was cooking in the back. She was loud, had bells on her shoes and would randomly start singing. It continually interrupted our conversation and was a complete distraction to our meal. I would go back for the food for sure, if the loud woman wasn't there.

Terrific breakfast and super frindly service. Tasty biscuits and gravy and eggs benedict. Grits were very good as well. The toast is very thick and hearty. We truly enjoyed having breakfast at Chickadees. Overall we had a great experience and would definitley return.
