I stumbled upon this place traversing a back road off the Bartow-Eagle Lake Road. It's in a strip mall next to a Dollar Tree. I understand a Fred's Market had been there but never saw that either. This place has been opened about 3 months. The interior is made to look like a garden patio--faux brick, outdoor statues, trellis over the center. Nice blue beadboard throughout. Looks clean and inviting. I didn't see a hostess right away but gave it a few minutes. The servers' shirts say "half server/half ninja on the back and they remained busy, working quickly. I ordered the 8 oz sirloin medium rare with 2 sides for $9. My salad came out immediately and was quite large for a side, romaine, not iceberg. And yay! They had Catalina dressing. It also came out with 2 homemade yeast rolls that melted in my mouth. They were so soft and airy, I probably could've folded them into one bite. But I didn't. There was a longggg pause before my steak came out. It was huge and perhaps more medium well than medium rare but delicious nonetheless. Mashed taters were good. They threw on black-eyed peas & onions "as filler" the waitress explained, to make the plate look complete. Nice of them, but try as I might I couldn't like them. Might be a southern thing. It was really a very nice steak dinner, for the same price as their meatloaf special. The neighboring table received ginormous chef salads. They didn't get rolls so when they pointed this out, the waitress gave them double. They were too busy to keep up with the drink refills. They forgot to give me a bread plate (others had them). Silverware didn't include a spoon. An extra napkin would've been nice. Wished the straws were not the same height as the glass-mine kept drowning and needed to be fished out. This place was hopping for 1:30 in the afternoon. The waitresses were friendly and polite despite the rushing. The weaknesses were small for such a great meal and quality service. This place knows how to attract and keep customers. Now if only they could do something about the tractor caps, hats turned backwards (I like when they're politely removed in a publicly place) the loud people who use "ain't" and profanity-laced language as they chew with their mouths open.....oh, wait-forgot where I was for a minute.

A pleasant clean and friendly atmosphere producing tasty food but nothing out of the ordinary. Tried and liked the gyros which isn't surprising as the owners are Greek but the taco salad is so so and I didn't care for the tortilla shell bowl. Nice place to take a client for a business lunch.

If you work and only have 1 hour for lunch avoid this restaurant. Also do not go with parties over 3 people. The food is okay, they do server breakfast during lunch hours but they cannot get orders right for large parties. And yes, I've tried it four times, they are consistent about messing up orders for parties over three people. A group of seven went for lunch on Friday and I'm not sure we'll go back. We had a manager accuse one in our party of not ordering blueberry pancakes when she asked (very politely) for them to correct her order. The manager actually came to the table to tell her she didn't order blueberry. We were all disturbed and upset because it was very uncomfortable for him to come to the table and confront her. AND SHE DID ORDER THE BLUEBERRY. We had to ask for the check several times and were 20 minutes late returning to work. The portions are huge, the waitresses are nice, the food is good when it's good. But be sure and have them read back your order.

This is a very nice remodeled restaurant. We had a great breakfast. The bacon was very good (and they give you 4 pieces!) Delicious and good service. My new favorite breakfast spot in Bartow!

Really pleasantly surprised. Very friendly staff, great atmosphere. Clean and light inside. Plenty of tv's if you want to watch while eating, but they were not intrusive. Menu was extensive and food was delicious. Several vegetarian options. I had a gyro which was excellent, kids had spaghetti and a burger, both well prepared and the sweet potato fries were delicious. Portions were huge, even on kids meals, and we all took leftovers. VERY kid friendly, and I can't say enough about the great staff attitudes - friendly, smiling, seemed happy to be at work, and waitress and host both had a sense of humor. Also, HAVE SOME YEAST ROLLS. They were amazing, especially with the cinnamon butter.

Wow. This is the best food I have eaten in Bartow! A wide range of food options from breakfast (served til 2) to sandwiches and burgers, and lastly to steaks and pork chops. Home cooking that is done right. Located where the Fred's used to be, this makes Fred's look like fast-food.

This is most defiantly my go to place when we don't feel like cooking! I tell everyone about this place. The food and atmosphere is great, friendly staff, and I can get in and out of there quickly if I need too! Try their breakfast, lunch and dinner. Finally, we have a locally owned non-chain restaurant with great food. I come from Winter Haven, but it is my hope that Bartow embraces this place. You won't be disappointed! Keep awesome small businesses open!!

This place exceeded all my expectations. The food was delicious, the service fast and friendly, and the prices were great. I had the original gyro (w/o tomatoes) and sweet potato fries. The tzatziki sauce was great and I love the pita they used. The sweet potato fries were ridged steak cut and had a great crispy shell and soft middle. Will definitely be returning!

I was on my way home to Lakeland by way of Bartow and noticed a sign for a new restaurant that went in where Freds Market was. Always a little leary of restaurants moving into a location of a failed business. But I thought I would try anyway. I am glad I did, it was an overall great experience and a good value. The pleasant well groomed, cheerful hostess seated me, I was alone and was seated at a comfortable booth. It appears they updated interior, seats carpet etc, it had that new glow and fresh smell. My server Jessica, promptly fulfilled my request for coffee and iced water. While on this visit, I planned to have a lite breakfast, I knew from interacting with only 2 employees so far, and being so friendly and accomadating, I knew if my breakfast was good, I would definatly be back. Like I said, I just had a lite breakfast, one egg, grits and a biscuit, so my reveiw will be a little short. You can judge a restaurant by their breakfast. Homemade fresh biscuits, real southern grits, that I promptly made into Yankee grits, adding extra butter and SUGAR, (deal with it). The egg was pan fried in butter, lived it. This is great place, family owned, in fact the owners sister, Irene came and checked on me and on the way out I noticed the owners dad helping the servers clear a table, quite a family affair. I will definatly be back.
